We Have A New President!

Howdy! How is everybody doing? I hope you are all well. In this article, I will be covering the inauguration of Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos jr. I will be giving comments, reacting, and pointing out things that I want to talk about, and anything that I want to share my thoughts.

I just want to point out aspects that have my interests on it, so let us begin!

The Venue

The National Museum of the Philippines in Manila will host the 17th president's historic inauguration. One of the heads of the preparations committee, Franz Imperial, expressed his hope that everything will proceed according to schedule and without any dilemmas or hiccups on the way.

The day's activities will begin with the customary meeting of the departing president and his successor in Malacañang Palace before they travel separately to the location of the inauguration.

National Anthem

Showbiz star Toni Gonzaga performed the National Anthem at the inauguration. Franz Imperial, one of the committee's leaders in charge of planning for the historic occasion, stated that as of the time of publication, the specifics of the ecumenical invocation were still being worked out. She is also one of the big personalities of the Uniteam campaign period.

A 30-minute military-civilian procession will also take place, according to Imperial.

She sang it very beautifully and respectfully. She understands the assignment, sheesh!

President Marcos Jr.'s Speech

He delivered his speech with no cheat sheets and papers. Since he was a senator, I noticed that he does not really read cheat sheets when he is speaking. I believe that everything he is saying is from the heart that is why he does not need those. In his speech, he covered a lot of issues, departments to improve, and everything that a president should cover.

Barongs and Dresses

17th President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. During the morning events, President Marcos wore a contemporary barong "influenced by the rayadillo, which was the customary military uniform in the Spanish era. President Marcos Jr. wore a "completely embroidered barong from Taal" for the evening events.

A terno made of old pia cloth, created by Albert, will also be worn by the next first lady, Liza Marcos.

What struck me the most is what Senator Imee Marcos!

Senator Imee Marcos wore an outfit that she created with the assistance of fashion designer Rem Divino. The former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.'s lockets, necklaces, and pendants that are used as ornaments on the light blue gown are all presents from her father.

Final Thoughts

The historic event was a success. Actually, I and my father were watching this while eating lunch. We watched it on YouTube. Every time the video buffered we were so annoyed haha! We thought that maybe there are many viewers or just our internet is slow.

What we hope is that President Marcos will do his job well. To make the Philippines a better country for the Filipinos.
