Be more competent in what you do.

I believe that if we want to be competent to achieve goals and improve the perception we have of ourselves. We must know that thanks to different skills and strategies we can manipulate our environments, transform reality and be socially effective, we are practically obliged to exploit them. Likewise, there is also another aspect that we cannot leave aside. No one can master and be skilled in absolutely all existing disciplines and processes. It should be noted that it is advisable to focus our resources and efforts in those areas that we need for our work or for our passions and aspirations. Knowing our limits is a good starting point.

In reality, there is no single dimension that explains success. There are infinite variables, including the luck factor and, of course, having good support. However, it is worth noting that there are a number of specific factors that we can all develop. If one of the competent skills is what you do or what you want to achieve, you must be committed to yourself. It is true that the world measures and classifies us according to what we know how to do and that if there is one thing we want, it is to be exceptional. We must learn to identify, that would always be the main starting point. Once we are clear about what we want, the competencies and skills in which we should invest more time and effort will become evident. Many times we fail to perform well in a particular area because we lack confidence.

Let's remember that without this ingredient, our ability to achieve something declines. The reason we fail to have this psychological strength is often due to the mental narratives that others have passed on to us. If you want to test your competencies, challenge yourself, take action and evaluate your performance. No skill will become automatic in us if we do not use it and, to do so, we must create opportunities, immerse ourselves in situations where we can see ourselves in full activity. Thus, we can observe that a job competency is an underlying characteristic in a person that is causally related to a standard of effectiveness or superior performance in a given job or situation. Thus, competencies form a deep part of the personality and can predict behavior.

To be competent, any competence requires putting into practice that self-evaluation and internal look from which to be aware of one's own mistakes and points to polish. Do not hesitate to keep records, to evaluate progress and to propose small improvement strategies with which to continue advancing day by day. When we carry out any task, work or activity, it is very common to expect others to tell us how well we are doing. Often, we get used to these external efforts as children. We do this to the point that we develop our self-perception and self-esteem based on what others tell us and don't tell us. This is not adequate. To become more competent we must apply intrinsic motivation and self-evaluation. Rising as our fairest, most sensitive and energizing judges will allow us to keep improving.

Finally, being efficient in life's journey or our professional journey is a purpose of constant self-actualization. Testing our potential seems to be a kind of command or obligation that is inscribed in the nature of many. Being more proactive is an achievable goal that means being highly committed to your goals, always being aware of the results obtained and how to improve them. It is to be observant, but never passive. Being proactive is having an attitude towards life that brings benefits, both personally and professionally. In addition, it motivates you to be competent, to demonstrate solvency in the exercise of your work and therefore to be trustworthy. Beyond mere skills or abilities, being truly competent implies the demonstration of a permanent eagerness to know and master the management area we are entrusted with.

Do you consider yourself competent?

I can say that I am in my field of work - but will want to broaden my horizon into learning other stuff which is not related to my course because we all need to learn and grow.

Everything we learn in this life, no matter how unnecessary it may seem, can get us out of a big jam at some point. Greetings.

That's great my friend, I love your way of thinking. Giving up should not be an option, and if we fall we have to get up and continue. Greetings.
