Things to do to Brighten Up your Mood

Everyone falls into a bad mood because of many reasons. Small things easily change our moods like broken glass, losing internet connection, deleted photos accidentally, or having messy hair or rooms.

Oftentimes, we let our bad moods last all day or longer and hope that we are okay the next day, but having a bad mood for quite a long is not healthy, so let me give you some ways to lighten up your mood.

  • Do your favorite hobby. Doing your favorite hobbies like listening to music (happy songs), playing video games, or reading books can improve your mood.

  • Smile and Laugh. Smiling on your bad day is not easy, but try to practice yourself doing it because aside from lightening up your mood, it also makes you more beautiful and handsome. So, why not watching funny films, videos, or sitcoms? This way may help you forget the causes of having a bad mood and make you smile and laugh.

  • Call your friends. We are social creatures. Seeking out the support of someone you loved, understand your emotions and your experiences are good ways to lessen your burden that makes your mood lighter.

  • Write down what you feel. Writing your feelings down in your diary or journal can help you control your emotions and understand your situation. This way makes the feelings less intense in our minds and numbs the pain that we’re feeling. 

  • Walk or Run outside. Walking or running outside makes you see sunshine, scenery, nature that can lighten up your mood. It also allows you to breathe fresh air. Besides walking and running serve many functions in our body. It can increase our heart rate and get our blood pumping.

  • Spend time in nature. Look around at the trees flowers, sky, and listen to the birds. Appreciating the beauty of the natural world can forget your problems or stress and help you replenish your spirit.

  •  Take a nap. Sometimes the napping or sleeping is the best medicine to lighten up your mood for it helps your mind rest for a while. Turn off your electronic devices and listen to relaxing music while taking a nap. This helps you feel better after you rest.

  • Eat. When we are not in the mood or not okay because of many problems, we sometimes forget to eat or choose not to eat. But, getting a little treat can lift your spirits. In fact, eating sweets like chocolates and cakes on your bad day makes you feel happy because of their sweetness. Also, it increases your energy level.

  • Meditate. Normally very small things cause mood change and sometimes we don’t even know the reason as to why our mood changes, we simply feel irritated and unsettled.  Meditation is one way to identify the reason for having a bad mood. Mindfulness meditation is a technique used to release stress from the body. Besides, it puts our minds into a relaxed state and reduces our anxiety.

  • Listen to Music. Music is a big help when you feel so exhausted. It helps you relax especially your mind yet you must know the best songs that fit your taste and mood.

  • Pray. Praying in a silent place helps yourself calm. This is the most important thing to do when you have lots of burdens in life for you can't control everything. Only Him can help you solve everything. Always surrender your burden to Him. He will help you and guide you to the right place where you belong.

Our lives will not be completed, exciting and fun without challenges and problems, always make sure to find ways to lighten up your mood when you are not okay.

Whatever causes your bad mood, try these tips to lighten up your day. We cannot always force ourselves into a good mood but remember that every problem has a solution and in every sadness there is happiness. Don't let your bad mood take away your beautiful smile on your face and ruin your day.

Yung tumingin sa nature, matulog at mag-pray po yung madalas na nagagawa sa mga yan. Paglabas mo po kase ng bahay dito samin ay maraming pong mga halaman, puno pati bulaklak kaya naagaw po yung atensyon ko at nawawala agad yung bad mood. Yung pag tulog naman ang talagang sagot kapag mad mood ako minsan dahil puyat lang po talaga at kulang sa tulog. At lastly po yung pag-pray ay ang gamot sa lahat lahat.

Ako? May times talaga na napaka-moody ko. As in. Ngayon, nakikipagtawanan ako sa mga kapatid ko then maya-maya lang nagsusungit na ako sa kanila. But, ayoko naman na palaging ganon. Kaya kapag nagpi-pray ako sinasama ko talaga na tulungan n'ya ako na ma-lessen 'yung pagiging moody ko kasi di nakakatuwa minsan. Aside from that, 'dun ako sa meditate at pagtulog. Super effective, as in. Tapos may foods pagkagising? Hay nakooo. Da best. Hahaha
