10/23/2021
Like seasons that changed a lot over the year, time flew as fast as an airplane taking off in a clear sky. Before we even notice it, we are few months away from 2021.
I am not sure of it's the doing of the frequent rains here, but the winds are now colder. I could not go to bed every night without keeping a jacket nearby. Especially when it's late as 3 or 4 in the morning, the coldness is as it peak, so just a thin blanket is not enough.
I also hear lots of Christmas songs here and there. The closer the holidays come, the louder these radios get and share how everyone feels now, excited about Christmas.
Some houses are now adorned with beautiful designed Christmas decorations, that twinkle every night, like stars. Not sure about kids planning to sing Christmas carols from house to house, probably not, due to the pandemic. But I still feel, that despite how different things have become, the spirit of Christmas will still be felt.
I am excited about Christmas season, as always. Families come together to celebrate. Busy times are left temporarily to create happy memeories with loved ones. I see many people reuniting to settle a long-term fight, lots of forgiveness in the air, and all kinds of celebrations everywhere. It's like this season triggers love and happiness to be activated in everyone's heart.
It's more special when we receive gifts from people we love. I personally become satisfied whenever I could make our family smile with my gifts, which I always give a lots of thoughts. It gives me tht comforting feeling, knowing that I made them feel loved and important. During the holidays, I could see my older sister relaxing, no more busy shifts, nor late night homecoming. My older brother is relieved from pressures of his college lessons and online classes. My parents do not worry about many things because we are all together. And as for me, I just enjoy the moment, setting aside my anxieties, my fears, and sadness, because gratefulness overpowers all of that.
Year-end is also a beautiful month, especially to those who work. There are Christmas bonus, Year-end incentives, 13th month Pay, and Holiday treats,of course. It is also one of the major reasons I look forward to December. We are always blessed, and reminded that we are.
My memory of last year's Christnas is us just eating out, buying new clothes, and exchanging gifts. At work, I think we did not have a Christmas party because of the pandemic. I wonder how it would be this year.
This year, I am planning to treat myself to new pants, because 90% of what I am using right now are either old ones, or inherited from my older sister hehe. I am also planning to buy new jacket for daily use at work, because it's difficult to use hoodies. And let's not forget the new phone, for better blogging experience, as well as no more storage problems, whenever I'll be installing applications of the things i wanna learn about.
Honestly, I would also love to buy a new laptop not just for my use, but also for my younger brother, because we were scammed with the second hand laptop we bought this year. All our hardwork paid like that, to the drain. The laptop can't be used, because it's having problems. Just thinking about it makes me sad, also for my brother who badly needs a laptop for his studies. Our finances does not allow that yet, a high end laptop. Anyway, this is one of my goals, and hopefully, BCH can make me achieve this.
Personally, I would pray for peace and joy to always prevail in me at all times. I have encountered lots of fears, anxieties, and emotional roller coasters this year, that's for real. I remember lots of nights I cried. I dealt with lots of emotional and mental battles more than physical ones. This year has not been easy for me. And I think to all of us.
Look at us now, still fighting through 2021. Still intact enough to fight what next year has in store in us.
There is nothing bigger I'd wish for Christmas, than the virus to go away for real, and never come back. I know I ain't the only one who's begging for things to come back to normal. We've all been patiently waiting for a time to come where we don't have to be worried of ourselves and loved ones, too. We all want to go on a vacation without travel restrictions anymore. Or have a happy gathering without having to distance ourselves from each other. Seriously, it's a torture to bear with the New Normal. Things are never the same as before, and I know this stole a whole lot of joy from us. Lowkey F 2020.. Damn pandemic.
I don't know about you, but we celebrate Christmas, not just because it's a law-declared holiday, but to remember the day Christ was born. Though we can't really identify the exact day of His birth and just had 25th of December to celebrate, it is still a beautiful way to remember that it's a season of giving, forgiving, and celebration, because our Saviour was born, the ultimate reason for the season, the ultimate gift given to us. One that we never expected, but really needed. Jesus Christ, our serendipity.
I take comfort to the fact that God is indeed working for the good of all of us. I am still not giving up on thinking, that everything is well. Everything's gonna be okay. And when that day finally comes, I'll give al the glory to Him, who has the real power over all these things people can't handle on their own.

Hays. Ilang araw na nga lang no? And sana nga matupad na lahat ng wish natin especially tong pagkawala ng Covid. That will be the happiest Christmas ever. Let's pray for that. 💗
