"A Mini Set Up"
My order from Shopee arrived just this afternoon. And I've been using it since it arrived. Hahah I got my older brother's old mouse. So I got me a little set up. Where I can finally write articles much more hehe. Just needs a little bit more practice as I haven't touched a physical keyboard in about 2 years since I stopped school when physical classes were still going on.
Though my screen is super cute and my keyboard is like 7 inches hehe. Also my cellphone stand haven't arrived yet. So I opted for my kiddo's stool hahah.

I know it's been hours and you might have already seen the messages on the telegram chat of $CATS or perhaps Wagon.cash or probably seen the twitter post $CATS if you're in there and not telegram. Or probably you haven't at all.
Now I'm here to let you know that $CATS is doing yet another airdrop in the form of checks.

A friend of mine, we have this kind of group chat where we relay each other some news about the recent crypto updates and or in any case airdrops, since we're kind of what you airdrop hunters. Anyway, this friend of mine who is also on telegram. Broke us the news of the Admin of $CATS telegram group stating that there would be another round of checkbook airdrops. And of course we were all excited. But at the same time, were puzzled as to how wagon.cash works. And how was it any different from Coinflex that we're using as Bridge for transferring BCH into Sep20 token to be able to use it for our Metamask wallet transactions.

And yeah, we were all hyped up by the though of another airdrop. But we didn't know how to use wagon.cash.
I was always a firm believer of you might never know it unless you try. So I was like, I'd be the first one to do this and be guiding them after.
And so I did.
When I first started on SmartBCH, I had no idea what I was doing but thanks to helpful and friendly users on noise, I was able to find my way through hoops and circles.
That was my motivation in making my through wagon.cash. At first I had no idea what to do. But then, there's this button saying connect wallet. So I did.
However in doing you might get an error saying you haven't added a wallet like this one below.
You can just reload the page and wait it out again. Sometimes the site does crash due to the sudden influx of users making transactions ever since the announcement was made.
Anyways here is the step by step guide on how to do transactions on Wagon.cash if it's your first time in doing so.
**Step by step Tutorial on Wagon.cash**
First make sure you open up https://wagon.cash/ on your metamask wallet's browser function.
Next when you get through to the site you'd have to connect your metamask wallet. If any error occurs such as the stated above. Just reload the page and wait to get through the page.
After you've connected your wallet successfully. Be sure to check all the boxes and verify the captcha. After that you generate the bitcoincash address on which you could deposit your BCH to.
Generating the address can take quite a while. And when it is already generated. You can go to your main wallet and deposit your BCH into the address. Then go back to wagon.cash to confirm the transaction. Again due to the sudden surge of traffic on the site, you might expect it to crash. Just keep reloading the page. And wait it out.
Once confirmed you can then proceed to https://www.checkbook.cash/app/
**Claiming the Check**
From here on, you can click the "list sent to me". There you'll see if your eligible to claim the check. If you see that it says no cheque issued to your address, it might be another error you'd have to reload the page again. (I've experienced it last night on my second transaction)
You can then click to "ACCEPT" the random amount of $CATS given to based on your deposited amount of BCH.

Because it clearly states we can deposit a couple of times and claims checks multiple times. So what are you waiting for? Be sure to try out the newest bridge in transfering SLP to Sep20, wagon.cash.
**Errors you might run into**
So let's talk about certain errors, here I would be compiling a series of errors I run into while using the site. The first one is already seen above next. I'll just present the ones I haven't given.
This is usually when the site suffers a huge amount of traffic from users trying to transfer their BCH to SEP20. And I remember last night, I was busy chatting with a stranger on the TG group of wagon.cash. Due to this reason. Or it may be very well a cause of lag in your Internet connection.
This occurred today while I was trying to make my third transaction on Wagon.cash. Unfortunately the server crashes every time. Will try again later.
Edit: I did try yet another transaction on wagon.cash. This time it's much faster and smoother transaction compared to last night. And you might have to be in the TG group of wagon.cash to be updated about whether or not it's having an upgrade at the time you're supposed to use the site.
And lastly this is from my friend, whom I just met on TG group of wagon.cash. He's @Iudex-of-Simias glad to see that he's here haha.
I'm not sure how it exactly happened but the transaction was rather much slower last night than it is today. And if this ever pops up in your screen. Know that you don't have to panic and don't do anything. Just wait it out or more or less reload of refresh the page then wait for it to finish.
Overall I asked the admin about the errors that I and my friend have experienced and what they meant. He replied as you can in the photo.
You can directly message him. He's so nice. But it will probably take time for him to reply because he's a busy person.

Hey you guys and gals. I was busy slacking off yesterday so that's why it hasn't registered to my mind that yesterday was when I started my journey here on read.cash 2 months ago.
Then I saw @LucyStephanie 's article. Entitled "2 months on Read.cash... Oh the Thing I've Done". (I hope you don't mind the tag) It was published about a month ago. And the reason why I was able to read her article despite it being published over a month ago, was that I was actually searching for "Free Writing" articles. Because I was out of topic lately and I recalled that I once read an article about it. The reason why I joined this amazing platform was because I was inspired by @nheng1118 and during that time she also help me to venture into the SmartBCH world. That was the first time that I had gotten out of my comfort zone.
**My Journey**
**First Article**
When I started my very first article here, I got a little bit dramatic hehe. It was around August 19 when I first came here. So the next month was supposed to be September. And thinking about it made me reminisce the years that I've been longing for my family to be reunited. Even just on the Holidays.

**2nd Article**
As for my second article. This was inspired by ate @Jane. It was around that time also that she was submitting her entry to @JonicaBradley 's prompt. I think it was about Language. As I read ate @Jane' s article I was impressed how she perfectly elaborated her thoughts into it. That I got excited and written my own one when I saw the last part of her article and that everyone was welcome to join in, and so I did.
Also it was the very first time that I got noticed by ate @Jane I got so excited that I almost jumped up. And if you hadn't read it yet, it's HERE. It was about my first language or what we call "mother tongue". The language we were born to speak in, Hiligaynon. And the secondary one or the national language in our country, Tagalog or Filipino. **3rd Article**
For my third one, I decided to share an amazing encounter I had while doing a mini grocery. It was in our local "Grace Pharmacy" which is half store half pharmacy and yes in one establishment. I know it sounds a bit weird though for the most of use here in our city, it was convenient. Because we can get all our groceries and medicines in one place. (Though not all groceries, and it's not the only establishment where we can buy both grocery and medicine in one.)
The reason why I shared the story was because I was really overjoyed to see that even the pandemic couldn't hold back a stranger from doing a good deed to another stranger. It only proved to me that doing good is a choice, and you could make that choice even in the most difficult times. And you never how it would make an impact on somebody's life. Kindness is a great that should be payed forward to another person. In regards to the one who made the very first act of kindness. **4th Article**
Now this is truly a very emotional one. Not just for me but for all of us. Our family suffered the loss of our matriarch, my grandma. And it was there that I saw my relatives, whom I was estranged with, poured their hearts out. Where I realised that they were not truly bad ones but only using a tough persona on the outside.
And it was also when I had to say my last Farewell to my Lola(Grandma) to which I no longer hold back my tears when we got out of the church and en route to the cemetery. It also got me thinking that Life was short, and that we should always cherish those moments we have while we still can. **My Greatest Moment**
My greatest moment was on my 5th article. Because this was the time when Rusty finally visited me, for the very first time. I even got way more excited when he doesn't only visited once but a couple of times. It was also when I decided to publish every day. Before that, I only publish once every week. So I couldn't feel the pressure and wouldn't whack my brains out.
Though doing this article for the prompt "Distraction" by @JonicaBradley was really the first time when I had an feedback from my fellow authors and writers. But perhaps I should have stayed by my decision to only publish once a week. Because it was only now that I learned that publishing every day was nearly impossible for me. Thinking about new topics everyday really whacked my braincells. That I had to take a long long time to rest my nerves and my body.
It was when I had a fever. It was the first after a few months I think, though normally I would always get sick during the September season. (and no it wasn't because of the reason behind my first article) It was probably because of the changing of the seasons here in our country and we only have two, which is summer and raining seasons. So my body couldn't keep up with the sudden change in weather. Because the temperature during the summer really is hot hot hot! And then it suddenly drops during the rainy season or La Nina. As what the PAGASA or the Philippine Atmospheric, Goephysical and Astronomical Services Administration, would call it. And it's also during this season that we always experience Typhoons.

The reason why I only shared the first 5 articles here, was because I had to limit my time otherwise you would be bored. And you can always visit my profile if you ever need to read my works after the 5th article I've mentioned.
And also this first 5 articles were really my starting point to be right where I am right now. I mean could you just if I didn't start on my very first article? I wouldn't be able to right the 2nd one. Or maybe the 3rd and 4th. And definitely I wouldn't be noticed by Rusty upon my 5th one.
Also the reason why I shared this with you guys right now is because I want to say to you guys to never give up on the things you've already started. You may not know how things would be if you wouldn't take that first step. And you'll never know how well will it go if you don't continue. And if you don't continue, you'll ponder yourself on your what ifs. Desperately thinking back what would you have become if only you didn't stop. If only you didn't get discouraged. If only you didn't give in to the pressure.

Something Crazy Happened Today.
I was about to let loose the goats. Because it was my normal routine. But then I noticed mama goat wasn't moving from her stance. And I noticed drips of blood coming from her.
From there I knew she was clearly in labor and about to have another baby.
Deep down I was glad for her. So I brought the palm branch with the leaves still green. That was lying in the vacant lot. I knew it was from our neighbours.
Though I can't help but think about my girl black. And wonder where could she be right now? Her baby is doing fine but I'm not.
I can only hope mama goat delivers her baby safely. Im not sure when but it's gonna be soon. And the dogs in the photo is my girl black and her baby girl,Coco. #NoiseCash
So I guess I'll wrap things up by now. Got busy while finishing my draft and then my mind wandered off to editing the photos first. That I forgot to look at the time right now. 🤦

Lucky to have Them
Hey its me again, I know I've been missing in action for quite some time now. Because I really really needed the break. I've been struggling with a fever for a couple of days and thank God that I'm feeling a little better now. Just with the back pains and all but it's good.
The reason why I titled this article today as "Lucky to have Them" is because of my friends. Ever recall the saying "a friend in need is a friend indeed"? Well those are my kind of friends. And if you're what really happened. Here's why:
Last night I shared a post that asks "what do you need right now?", and I reposted it with the word hugs and a teary-eyed emoji.
And for some reason I wasn't really expecting any response because it was like my way of saying this to my family. Because a few days ago, I had like a misunderstanding with my family and they were like I wasn't reaching out to them quite so often. Which is true, but because I was kind of burned out trying my best and keeping up with their expectations of me. And constantly being reminded of great of a failure I was, getting pregnant early.
So my mom blocked me on messenger, which was a first for me. So it was really devastating to me, but of course I had to keep it in. I didn't want this to spread like wild fire. And this wasn't a first for my mom. She already blocked my older sister too. I don't really recall for how long but they eventually reconnected after that. The funny thing though, I was the bridge in their recovery. And now I'm the one being tossed aside.
I'm really really emotional when it comes to my family. And I've got this like disability to express my feelings to them whether it's anger or sadness or even expressions of love. Because I really am not good with words. Or even constructing what to say to them. Or even in letters. So I just keep it all to myself. And that's maybe why it took a huge toll on my body. And for days after my birthday,(which was probably right after my mom blocked me) I had an extreme fever.
And when I scrolled through my Facebook app, that's when I saw the post and reposted it requesting for a hug. But it was really supposed to be directed to my family.
Then just this afternoon, I was feeling quite better and had the chance to open my Facebook app again. And to my surprise, one of my long time friend commented on my post.
It was all like a series of me and her replying with emojis and stickers. But I really appreciate her effort because I didn't think she was gonna take my post seriously. And I though that was just about it. But then she messaged me and asked how I was.
At first I said I was OK, thinking she'd buy it like everyone else does haha. But then I was wrong because she kind of like "weh?". So I had to say I was 50/50 like 50% fine 50% not. And she went on to say she would visit me as soon as she comes home. Which really got me so excited because we haven't seen each other for a long time.
And for a brief moment, I felt like I wasn't totally alone. In fact, I actually wasn't alone. Because the friends, I thought that have forgotten about actually haven't. They were just busy with their own lives but never really forgotten all about me. Which really gotten me guilty because I was like in a state where I withdraw any connection with anyone. I was like dwelling in my own personal shell again that I'd forgotten that I have friends that are always there for me whenever I'm at my lowest point in my life.
And the reason I'm sharing this with you guys is because I wanted to tell you so badly to always treasure these kind of people. They may not always be with you 24/7 but know that they are always there for you. They may not be physically available but know that they are just one call away. You can always open up to them. Not necessarily meaning you'd have to spread all the details but it doesn't also necessarily mean you'd have to leave entirely clueless.

Oh and btw guys, if you're wondering when this situation happened. It actually happened last October 6. Yes a week probably, my birthday. I was such in a devastating state. That I needed like a breather or perhaps a comfort from what I was actually feeling. And then it happened pretty quickly.
And I had to recently go back to see the timestamp of our conversation. Like I really forget all the little things. I guess when you age you tend to be forgetful and I'm only 21 at the moment. And perhaps, stress has a lot to deal with it.
And I really had a hard time deciding whether or not I should this with you guys. Cause you might want to point out my mother blocking me on social media with both of my Facebook accounts. But really, it was all my fault. If you could remember my very first article titled "Ber Months : Bring Back Worst Memories". Well you would probably know that I hate it when "Ber Months" come along because I so badly miss my family; my mama, my older sister and older brother. Hah, it's been so long since I've published an article due to my health problems lately. One week to be exact. I've gotten a fever recently and as you can see, I haven't been active lately.
What I Learned After Reading The Percy Jackson Series (Ebook Form)
As many others, I myself like to read every once in a while. It kinda refreshes my mind a little, also it enhances my vocabularies. So it's kinda time for me to feed my brain some food in the form of new words, or new experiences. Sort of, because everytime I read it's always a new experience or a new adventure for me.
So that's why my favorite genre is always fantasy. Or the fiction series. One in particular that I was curious about is this *Percy Jackson Series*. I mean, a movie titled ***"Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief"*** that's released in released in ***2010***, is what started this curiosity of mine. Though way before this movie I've been extremely interested in the Greek Gods. Like I grew up watching Disney's ***"Hercules"***. And yeah I love everything about it including the singing part, especially with the muses haha.
*Greek Mythology* often varies in description or definition depending on the author's perspective. I mean like I have here like 2 Greek Mythology in Ebook form and I can't even understand each one haha. Because these two are very different the way that they were aligned. And it was my mistake of reading it both at the same time. So to make up for it, I then moved on to the *Percy Jackson Series*.
Percy Jackson Series
If you've watched the two movies, (*Percy Jackson*), you might know what this is all about. And if you haven't, you're gonna have like a lot of questions. Starting with, "who the heck is this *Percy Jackson*", and "why do I have to mention him too many times",you might ask.
Well he is the main character in the series. He is a *demigod* or otherwise known as *half bloods*. He is the son of ***Poseidon***, the God of the Sea. And if you're aware of the *Big Three* in the *Greek Mythology*, ***Poseidon*** is one of them. The other two are ***Zeus***, the God of Gods, and ***Hades***, the God of the Undead or the Underworld.
Now this series is all about the adventures of *Percy Jackson* from his normal mortal life to the life of a *Half Blood*, the Children of the Gods. They're called a half blood btw because their parents are a God and mortal. And again if you've been reading *Greek Mythology*, you'd know that every once in a blue moon just kidding, once in a while, the Gods would spend their time on Earth feel in love with mortals and have children with them.
Also this series is composed of 5 books in total, so if you ever got the interest to read them, I'd suggest you'd free up some schedule because it's gonna take a while. Or atleast that's just me, I read in my vacant time so it took like a month starting from book 1 because I'd have to recall some events in the book and compare it in the movies. So I kinda had the time to rewatch the movies again hahah.
Okay so let's go to the topic at hand...
Lessons Learned
****Curiosity is Dangerous****
As we all know the saying that goes "Curiosity k*lled the Cat". Which means bad things often happen to the ones pursuing their curiosity on too many things. Such as is the case of the main character in this series, *Percy Jackson* always gets him and his friends into trouble everytime he wants to take part in the prophecies. And yeah, prophecies were a thing in this series, all thanks to the Oracle, ***Delphi***.
And if you don't want to end up in any kind of trouble, do yourself a favor by managing your curiosities in life. Yeah of course, curiosity is good once in a while but not always. It almost often leads to trouble and if you're not careful you might get hurt.
****A Parent’s Love is Always Genuine****
Being a God isn't always easy. Let alone have children that you don't always have time to spend with, due to conflicting rules and regulations, that's been set up to keep the God's and their status' leveled. Such is the case of ***Hermes***, the Messenger of the Gods in this series. His son, *Luke*, a *demigod* in this series, happens to believe that his father never loved him. That he abandoned him and his mother all alone. That eventually lead him to like an antagonist to this story. Though in reality, his father is doing everything in his power to help him. He just doesn't realise it yet.
And also for the ***Big Three***; ***Zeus***, ***Poseidon*** and ***Hades***. They might seem rather almighty and proud, but they each have soft spots for their children. (Oopsie, didn't wanna be a spoiler there hahah. But yes, the Great God of the Underworld has kids of his own. But I'd rather have you read the series to get to know them better.) And as many of you might already guess, (because I kind of said it earlier, *Percy Jackson*, the main lead, is the son of ***Poseidon***. And ***Zeus***, the Great and Almighty Zeus, God of God's, has a daughter of his own, her name is *Thalia*. However she died while on her way to Camp Half Blood, in hopes to save her friends, which she did. Btw ***Camp Half Blood*** is what they called the camp for *half bloods* or *demigods*. It's basically the safest place on Earth for them in the series. It's also where they would stay all year long and train to become heroes, worthy of their parent's acknowledgement.
****Destiny Doesn’t Always Mean that our Future is Sealed****
As I've said earlier, the main character *Percy Jackson* really can't control his curiosity and if often in trouble due to he urge of him finding out about the whole prophecy. Especially when he hears the prophecy from none other than ***Delphi***, the Oracle. But of course, we all know for sure that prophecies, destinies don't always hold our future. We are the only ones who can determine our future and the only thing that seals it, is our actions. So let's be careful in everything we do, because choosing the right path isn't always easy.
**Friends will Always be There for You**
As you can always see or read in every movie or books, the main character always has his allies, often referred to as friends. And in this case, *Percy Jackson* is friends with *Grover*, a *satyr* who is like the scout for new *half bloods* out there. And they have to bring back to camp in one piece. Also *Annabeth*, a daughter of ***Athena***, the Goddess of Wisdom. And of course, *Luke*, the son of ***Hermes***.
But then again, this friendship with *Luke* is shortlived as he went to the *dark side* or *dark forces*, to rebel against his own father and all the other Gods. The reason for this is that *Luke* believes are no better because they couldn't even acknowledge their own children's existence. But as we all know the God's have their other business to attend to and also the set of rules that's been there to ensure peace and order for their reign.
And if you've been able to read the entire series by now. (I'll just assume you did even you hadn't yet.) You'll know that whenever the main character goes on a quest, his friends will always be there to help him. And make sure he is able to return back to camp safely. And it just goes to show us that whenever life get tough, you know you'll get through it all when you have good friends by your side.
****Looks Can Be Deceiving****
As we all know *Ancient Greek Mythology*, the God's would often disguise themselves whenever they're near humans. So normally humans don't know who or what they are because they put a mist in front of people's eyes. Often disabling their sense of sight to be precise. So looks can be very deceiving in this story. Because you couldn't really guess you're already talking to a God unless you see some things mentioned about them in literature.
As I was reading through the first few chapters, I had to rewatch the movies to see how humans cannot see what the main characters usually see. And I guess you might have also your own imagination for each and every God's appearance too. I also have some for them as well. But how well they are described in this story is very much different haha. And I guess I also picture the ones who play their characters in the movie. And some of the characters that weren't featured in the movies, I'd just have to imagine them on my own.
****Great Power Comes Great Responsibility****
Being a God means you'd have immense power. But that power is not to be taken lightly. As you could either let the Earth flourish from that power, or you could completely destroy it. And the same is meant for the demigods, especially the kids of the ***Big Three***. Each of the Three Gods have truly immense power unlike any other. That's why together, they defeated their own father, King of the Titans, ***Kronos***. (I see that you may have guessed the spelling to be incorrect, but this is based on the novel. You can also search it on Google but the spelling would be a little different but the story is entirely the same.
And the reason why prophecies were such a big deal in the stories is that it tells the future of the God's or most likely Olympus, the Home of the Gods. (Spoiler Alert: The reason for the whole idea is that one of them, one of the kids of the big three, was prophesied to either help them or completely destroy them.) And if the God's were destroyed, what stands for the fate of humanity?

My First Ever Investment Attempt in Crypto: What went Wrong
I just had some very bad news this afternoon as I was checking on my staked asset on BenSwap via my Metamask app. Like I usually do. But since I was kind of inactive for the past few days, I got shocked while checking on my staked asset.
If you guys have read my article "I Did Something Really Crazy" you'd know that I did my very first investment in crypto. Though I've been around in the crypto verse for a while. But then, this happened.

When I saw @bmjc98 's post on noise a while ago. I quickly opened my Metamask app to see my EBEN staked on Benswap. Because I knew something was wrong. And I was really heartbroken to see it's current price.
According to ate MJ it was around 0.32$ a few hours ago. But then it went down to 0.226$ as of 4:37pm earlier. Which is really disappointing. As I bought about 3.477 EBEN. I bought 2.035 when the price around 0.8$. And another 1.442 EBEN when the price was around 0.85$.
But I'm glad I was able to stake it though. I'm currently waiting to earn profits from this. Though it really wasn't a bad move to be honest since it was like only 3$ I've spent on buying this.
So far I've earned about a cent lol. I'm still waiting to harvest another 3 cents lol. Guess I've really gotten my hopes up, I thought reaching atleast 1 EBEN would be a piece of cake. But well, I guess we always learn it the hard way.
And since I was not active lately for the few days, I haven't been keeping a close eye on it's price.
Also the fact that other crypto based exchange is always popping every now and then, there's always gonna be challenges to your investments. Like BenSwap for example, it's token or coin which is EBEN is getting affected by another exchange that's been up recently. It's called MistSwap, and it's getting all the hype nowadays.

And $CATS just recently posted about it. Saying it's much better for them there. Which is I think one of the reason why EBEN is slowing down. Because BenSwap is currently suffering from constantly losing liquidity as a lot of liquidity providers are pulling out.

So that's about it. I figured I should share this with you guys. As a part two of my past article. And I guess this can also be considered as an update regarding that topic also.
And I'm sorry if this is kind of out of the blue. I just need to express my disappointment I guess. Because I was really kinda hoping that by this time it would already reach 1$ since about a week ago, it was around 0.8 to 0.9$. Then all of a sudden it drops to 0.26$ as of 9:50pm.

"Why I Decided to Stay"
It was about a couple of months now since a random stranger popped up in my Facebook messenger. We were kind of exchanging links on which site is best for earning. I think it was about buxcoin that time. She kind of needed a little bit of help if I can recall correctly.
Then out of nowhere she mentioned noise.cash. At first like most newbies I was a bit skeptical with the whole idea. But made me start an account is the crypto earnings because I've been earning crypto for quite some time now.
But of course, the first few days isn't easy. Because you'd have to prove that you're posting your own genuine posts first before you could actually earn. And time went by, posting quality contents helped me gain a number of followers. Little by little my followers increased and I can no longer keep count of how much added up to the list in each day. All I know is if you post quality over quantity of posts, a lot of people will be drawn to you.
What made me stay in noise.cash was the community rather than the earning. I never really needed money at first because I was supported by my siblings and my partner. But a little bit of income could come in handy especially when I need it the most, like when my little one is running of supplies like milk and diapers.
Also, while I'm at noise, I found a couple of friends whom I enjoy having for company. Whenever I feel like being down by forces I can never fight on my own. They are always there to lift up my spirits. Also I learned a lot about the crypto verse than what I know back then. All I know then was earn then spend, but now a particular group has inspired me to hold my crypto, and if the price is right, I can sell it and profits or invest in other crypto assets in the market.
Also a little bit of advice to newbies here, interact with other people here. Build a bond, build a friendship. Because you only get that once in a lifetime.

Double Celebration
As many of my fellow authors are publishing about their achievements last September or about their expectations for this month of October. Today I would like to share with you guys about the events yesterday on the first of the month of October for all of us.
While some may consider the 1st day of October as just any ordinary day. But for me or at less for my whole family, it is a very special for all of us.

Oh if you're wondering why I titled this a Double Celebration, well you'd guess it's somebody's birthday again yesterday . And Papa decided to make his birthday celebration yesterday . And guess what? That somebody is me. And Papa always opt for our birthdays to be celebrated together.
Haha yes, it was my birthday yesterday . I figured you'd already realized that when I said my Papa and I have our birthdays apart. But only a day, stand in between. Hahaha I never really figured out why I decided to be born a day apart from my Papa's birthday. Though that would be really cool and really cost efficient for us. Since we'd have to celebrate together. But nonetheless, Papa has made it into a tradition to always celebrate on my birthday and we'd blow the candle on the cake together.
So either way, it still is cost efficient for us. But I'd really want Papa to have his own celebration for once and not have mine. Because honestly, the last thing I wanted is people swarming in the house in this situation. And having to wash the dishes after hahah. Though honestly, like really honest, I just wanted to have some time to myself on my special day. No grand celebrations, not so many guests, just us family. With a very intimate dinner. (Though I highly doubt it ever coming true, especially now that it's only me and Papa and my baby here. Mama, Ate and Kuya had to work far away from home.)
And one thing I don't like about my birthday is that I don't get to experience others feel when it's their birth month. Because literally mine's is the first day of the month. We all know how fast a day passes by. And when everyone asks me about my birthday. I'd just say October. No dates hahaha I wanted to let them figure out why. But hah! Only a few could guess.
But hey it's fine especially that I always have the party haha. I can invite my friends over. And this time I guess it's a bit different, now that my Papa said yesterday, my Aunt, the one that Mama doesn't get along with very well, decided to cook the Valenciana for me.
Aside from that of course, Papa always goes out of his way to give the grandest birthday celebration he can, all throughout my life. Now he decided to make a little simple. With just 3 dishes served to be quite a feast for guests. We'll my guests were the only ones closest to me. The family of my partner, my neighbor from our former subdivision Tita Sheila and her family(which is kinda like ours too, to be honest.), my best friend since we first to our first subdivision, Yoko, and our best friend also, Misael. (he was kind of like my partner's best friend first, actually there were two of them but the other one hasn't come home yet from Cavite, and they kind of like my best friends too. Even before we became a couple, I was like one the boys with hanging out always with the three of them.
How it went vs How I'd imagine it to Happen
Well first things first, I really imagined it to be a disaster from the moment I woke up haha. Don't blame me because I've been through like 2 birthdays I guess with no Mama, Ate and Kuya present because of the pandemic and also during that time my partner was in Cavite working. But now it feels surreal to be able to wake up next to him, first thing in the morning. And be the first one to greet me a "Happy Birthday". Which is really a happy birthday for me especially he is here right now.
As for the food, I expected it to have many surplus because most of my expected guests never really came hahah. 3 of my girls from school, weren't able to make it here. So I took the liberty to bring food to one of them. The one whom. I always refer as "nanay", she kind of like got sick the other day, so she wasn't able to come. But she was recovering when I went to her house. And her family was like in shock hehe, because it's like a first for them, having a birthday girl, giving them food hehe. But yeah, the food was well loved and was immediately consumed. Especially the lumpia or spring rolls hehe since it is a people's favorite. I was thinking maybe I should have made it a lot more. But then again, my shoulders are already aching from making those tiny pieces. And at the end of the day, all consummated food is considered good because it won't be consume if it wasn't right?
As for my guests, I was expecting a few of my friends to show up. But only two showed up yesterday heheh. And one is the most unexpected. Because we haven't seen each other since high school. And guess what? She was game the moment I invited her over hehe. Even if she has trouble with directions, she still had the determination to visit me on my birthday yesterday. Now I know, my other guests have reasons, why they weren't available. Some have classes while some have work. So I wasn't really holding a grudge or anything, I know it maybe wasn't time for us to meet again yet.
As for the gifts, I wasn't really expecting anything. Because I know for myself that I am already old enough to expect any gifts hahah. Also the pandemic is also a reason to not expect one. But gosh, I was shocked to see my friend whom I considered as a little sister to give me a present. I mean, her presence alone is already enough for me. Still, she took the time to probably look for one just for me. And me being a complete sentimental, I always appreciate every little efforts. And hers was a whole lot of effort. She gave me a cute wallet with the appearance of a cat hehe. And chocolates like goya, two hersheys with different flavors, one was chocolate and the other was cookies in cream. Also 3 Ferrero chocolate which was a first for me. Considering how much it costs. Gosh, that really completed my day yesterday.

Before completely ending this though, I'd like to add that today is happens to be my good friend and a former classmate's birthday today. And tomorrow, will be another birthday for a good friend of mine. Coincidentally, both of them happens to be my former classmates way back in Elementary School. And we three have consecutive days, I'm the first with the 1st day of October. 2nd of October which is today my good friend, Marjoe's birthday. And tomorrow is Lala's birthday. (now Lala happens to be her nickname)
Had a blast yesterday. We had a double celebration of Papa's and my birthday. His was supposed to be on September 30. But as usual, he always opted to celebrate it with me.
"Papa's Birthday"
It's been a very busy day for me when I woke up. As my Papa had already prepared everything that's needed to be cooked by tomorrow for the celebration.
And today is Papa's birthday btw. But he chose to celebrate it tomorrow. You'll know the reason behind it tomorrow.

A Letter for Papa

I've been devastated reading her article and then I felt a pang in my heart knowing that I've taken my Papa for granted. I've never realised how lucky I was, that he was here with me all my life. Though in the first few years of my life he was like not physically here with us because he had to work overseas in Saudi Arabia back then.
And I figured, maybe I needed to write him a letter. Though it has been so long since I did once. I'll atleast try, because I had no present for him. Somehow I wished this would make him glad and it's also a way for me to address certain with him I wish to talk about. Though I never really got the chance to. Also spent a few days figuring out what or how I should begin with.
**Hi Papa,**
First of all I'd like to greet you a happy birthday. Gosh how time flies so fast, one minute you're still in your 40's and now you're 60 years old already. Though you don't look like it hehe.
Hehe I know this isn't the way you wanted to be greeted. I'm sorry but I really am a little bit nervous expressing my feelings so much, I stutter or I can't even form a sentence right let along greet you in person.
And I'd promise myself to greet you the soonest I see awake. But then earlier I bumped into you, as I walked out my room to drink water. And all my courage left me dumbfounded and more likely confused. As to how should I react, or how I would begin my greetings or if I should hug you first or after.
So I thought I'd write it this ways just like how I always write to you on the post cards I make every father's day back then haha. Even though I really am bad at it and you didn't seem to value it as much either as you just let it slip into a corner. Glad my Mama has seen I guess that I saw it again in the cabinet where she usually stored all the glassware.
I don't even know how to begin untangling my concerns with you Papa hahah. As I've said I'm really bad with words let alone expressing my thoughts and emotions into a sentence or a whole paragraph.
First things first, I hope you ***change***.
I know you're a responsible father and a good provider for us ever since and even until now. But one thing I hated is your addiction to alcohol. And yes, I know you never laid a hand on us even while drunk. Still, I'd want you to stop because aside from me being all the time with you being at home drunk, I still care about you. And I would still want to spend more time with you more than ever. So I don't want you to have trouble with your health especially now we're on this time of the pandemic. Please listen!
Second, ***working overseas***.
Though I thank you Papa for raising me well. For providing for us. You even had to endure being apart from us for a very long long time by working overseas. Especially when I was born. As a child, I never understood why you had to go with that decision. I always resented that you were never there for me half my life. I admit I loved it when you come home with presents for me and chocolates but each time you depart from us it was harder for me because I know I never get to see you again for a long time. I even relate to one of ***"Treasure Planet's"*** songs ***"I'm still Here"***. Because that's how I felt each time you leave.

Third, about the ***responsibility*** .
I admit back then I valued material things just as much. I didn't value money much when I was young because I never knew all your hardships back then. Or I did, but I turned a blind to all of that. And I get awed everytime you had some new furniture or perhaps a sound system home because to me it was way cool. But now, we suffer because of it. Especially my older siblings. You know for a fact that being the eldest is a great responsibility for your family you'd have to shoulder everything. Which is why I couldn't get why you let Ate shoulder it all knowing that she might never make it the same way you did. And I had to be there for her as her emotional support everytime she breaks down.(I'm enjoying it, though it's really hard to comfort her via the phone, because I couldn't hug her. I couldn't be there for her.) I know she can be very mean with her words at time to show she's all tough but on the inside she's as fragile as a glass.
But then again we're all adults now, which means, we do have to take responsibility for the family. And thanks Papa because we never would've been who we are right now if not for you being there for us. Especially me heheh.
Most of all, ***Thank you*** Papa.
I know my early pregnancy wasn't exactly the news you've been hoping to get from me since I'm the youngest. But you still accepted me despite of that, you even comforted me when Mama and Ate were lashing at me over the phone when the news came out. Kuya had to take all the lashing from there because you guys knew too well that I couldn't get all emotional because I am at the middle of my 2nd trimester that time. And baby Jr was born. You couldn't be even happier. I saw how you treated him as yours. The way you always spoil him the way you spoiled us. The way you would alway be in between when I get furious with him especially now that he's toddler, exactly like how you would be our defense when Mama was angry.
I really wouldn't be able to raise my son so well if you hadn't been around. I know I've been hard on you lately. Because I've been with Mama and Ate and Kuya all my life. And suddenly being departed from them because they each had to work in order for us to keep up, especially when you retired. I blamed you for that, and I'm really sorry Papa. I know you're trying so hard each and everyday to somewhat provide for our needs also.
Though there's so much I wanted to tell you about, the thing most important is that I really couldn't be any more happier that you're my Papa after all. I wouldn't trade you for anything. I know you and Mama have some problems lately that you rarely ever talk. But I hope you wouldn't give up so easily. Especially now that our family is starting to grow even bigger. I wish you and Mama stay together for a bit longer. I know you love her. You always did. I was a witness to that. Because we wouldn't be born after Ate if you guys didn't.
Have a wonderful day papa. I love you and I know you would always celebrate your birthday on the same day as mine even though we're a day apart. You would still insist on letting me have the party. And for that I truly truly regard you as the **Best Papa in the world** any girl would ask for.
