Resentment.
Jennifer has been confused all her life and she often wondered why her mother prefers their second-born over herself and the firstborn; Jendo. Jendo, being the firstborn, expected to be at the leading front of everything but that wasn't the case. It wasn't because he was incapable of managing the affairs of things but the mother just took interest in the second-born; Nathan.
The father never picked a side and in all fairness too, Nathan liked his sister, Jennifer. There is never bad blood between them but the fight has always been between Jendo and Nathan. Jendo felt he was being undermined while Nathan felt he is a better business person which is why the mother preferred him.
Jennifer and Jendo went through life unloved by their mother and it made them grow cold to emotions because if they can't even be loved by their mother, then no one should feel obligated to love them too. They have always thought about this and distant themselves from others too.
That family got worse when their father died in a car accident and to add more insult to Jendo's injuries, the mother gave the reigns to Nathan which made Jendo resent Nathan even more. The family fell apart even further when Jennifer took to drugs after hearing of the death of her father. The only person who is keeping them together as a family is gone and that was the last time they ever felt like a family. Jennifer got messed up with the drugs and no one can even trust her again because of it.
Jennifer kept a low profile because they asked her to since it would be detrimental to the image of the company when they know about her. They wouldn't want investors to pull out or their competitors to use that to their advantage to drag them down. Nathan did a great job in running the company but Jendo kept plotting his downfall.
Nathan is also not as much of a saint as most people think. He is not only full of anger and rage, he always allows his emotions to get the best of him which had made him physically assault all the ladies he has ever been with. Most of these ladies cut him some slacks because of his wealth and enticing physical attributes. The strange part is that the mother knew about it all along and justifies her actions by blaming those ladies for being a gold-digger. She would say they got what they deserved because her son isn't a weakling so he realized they don't love him enough which is why he sent them packing.
The war continued in the family and it became hot that Jendo didn't only resent Nathan but he hired someone to take out his brother. He knows that when Nathan dies, their mother won't have a choice but to allow him to take over the company and we all know that Jennifer is an addict, so her chance of taking over the company is slim even though she studied Business and Management.
Nathan was killed by the hired assassin deployed by his brother but no one could trace it to him but Jennifer knew especially when Nathan got wind of the fact that someone is after his life. He knew it has to be his elder brother and he told Jennifer to be wary of Jendo. He told her and I quote: "If anything happens to him, you shouldn't look too far from Jendo."
It was when Nathan died that Jennifer remembered those words from Nathan but who would believe an addict? She searched for evidence until she was able to prove to their mother that Jendo was the one that killed Nathan. She found the wire transfer to the notorious Malik that orchestrated the hit and the mother confronted Jendo about it after they noticed Malik also died as the investigation was getting closer to Jendo.
Their mother screamed and cried while labelling both Jendo and Jennifer as failures and disgraces to the family. Jendo snapped back while Jennifer left for the room only to come back and met them with the same argument. Jendo didn't hold any word back as he made their mother know that she was the one who sowed the seed of discord amongst them after she picked a favourite instead of loving all the three children.
She still repeated her words amidst tears about how she is embarrassed to be called their mother and that was when Jennifer snapped back too and exposed their mother for being responsible for the death of their father. She overheard their argument about how their father got to know that Nathan wasn't his son and threatened to throw their mother out of the house. He left the house in anger and their mother called someone to kill their father so it would look like an accident. She said that was the day she started taking drugs and she was the one who messed up her life.
Jennifer pulled out a gun and asked her to confess which she did. Jendo stood there motionless and couldn't utter a word at first. She said she couldn't tell them about it because she was in love with the father of Nathan but they can't be together. He is a Minister in the country and we all know that such a scandal can ruin his home and also his political career. It was at that point that Jendo shoved Jennifer to one side, took the gun from her and shot their mother in the head.
Have you seen the new series called Blood Sisters on Netflix? I took the storyline from there but I twisted the story so I won't ruin the surprise for those who haven't watched the movie. I enjoyed that series and it's just 4 episodes. I employ everyone to try and watch it. In 4 hours, you are done watching.
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks. I am love's chemical content in human form and that's why I advise people to take a dose of "Olawalium" daily. 🙈

I really enjoy going through such story, in this situation I would say that the mother was the one causing all the problems, because she wouldn' t have shown that she love the second Nathan more than the first son Jendo. I don't think there would be such kind of family that would work out without any problems, as far as we are human there most be hatred, enviness and betrayal among each other. A father or a mother can not point out one of the child and love among the three children and expect that there will be no violence.
