I don't think I'll ever understand love! Good evening guys! I don't know if I'm the only one who struggled with writing today but I have been thinking for minutes now what to write until I got lucky or it was mere coincidence but whatever the case, I stumbled upon a video while going through WhatsApp statuses and I suddenly have alot to write about. Whilst there are many definitions on the love concept with people saying love empowers and gives life and meaning and lots more, tonight I have been exposed to the violent nature of love and it's so dark than the whole love thing is beginning to confuse and scare me at the same time. Love requires so much investment and by investment I'm not just pointing to the monetary angle alone but to the time, effort, nice words, energy and then the money. All of these things and more have to go into a relationship and still it is not certain nor guaranteed that success will come. A student knows that after reading and studying properly then write the exams, that good grades will come. A man who does a 9-5 job knows that when he works for the 31 days in a month that his pay will come in. Relationships are just not so! One gives so much only to be hit by the uncertainty that follows. That uncertainty sometimes grows worse from relationship to relationship and it's just shocking how something can be so good this minute and the next it is in shackles. So this guy spent his money on his girlfriend and from the way he spoke one could tell that it was alot of money. From the message, he said she read law and he took over paying her tuition fees from day one, not to mention the others that he spent along the way. I may be hypothesizing but it is based on facts that were provided in the conversation that this guy was having with his friend. If he paid her tuition fees, that would only mean that they dated or were together for quite a long time and the dude practically gave his all from how he spoke. In same conversation, he mentioned that his girl has now turned on him cos she found another and then told him that he was no longer in her class. Apparently her status has grown and she wants better. Dude was pissed, hurt and livid. In in anger, he told his friend that he was going to shoot the girl to death. He went further to mention that her new guy did nothing to him and he wouldn't hurt her but that he would kill her cos that's what she deserved. His friend tried to talk him out of it, telling him that his life doesn't end with the girl but he wouldn't listen. His hurt had blinded his reasoning and he was hell bent on his revenge. And guess what... The next thing I saw was a video where said girl was being shot multiple times in a place that seemed like her apartment. I was beyond shocked! For seconds, I couldn't breathe. Then my brain began to think, are you sure this is real and not staged? I don't know for a certainty, but the video is just too convincing that doubting it is just not possible. See how love for a person just turned to gross hatred and even murder. The fluidity of the whole love idea is something that even the best minds cannot understand. This dude could have been the reason why the relationship ended. He could have been the one who dis something wrong that made her leave but then again he could have also done nothing wrong and she just decided to go for something better. I have been asking myself, was she wrong to have left him? Was sho wrong to have gone for something better when what she had now was no longer satisfactory? The way she went about it may have been wrong considering he had done so much for her but does that mean that because he paid her bills that she must remain there even though she now knows better? I can't seem to be able to find an answer right now, maybe the emotions from watching her being shot is clouding my judgement. What do you think? Author's Epilogue Being in love myself, I know how I'd feel should my partner just up and goes tomorrow but I don't think I'd ever kill a person over being heartbroken no matter what it has cost me but then again, it's easier to say these things until we're confronted with the situation face to face. I hope I'm never in that place though. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Do you believe in the supernatural? My day in school today was filled with so much talking. I had started the day very tired and not feeling so well. I ate very late the previous night and had to sleep late too so I didn't get constipated. The night was so short cos it was already almost dawn before I managed to feel sleepy. Lest I forget, it's the first day of November 🤗🤗 Happy New month read cash fan!!!! I'm super elated and happy to be so close to the end of the year. It's finally just one month to Christmas and I can't wait to be in the Christmas spirit. I'm so grateful to God for keeping me and mine. Speaking of God, it's no secret or news that most people do not believe in God or in the existence of supreme beings or deities. Personally I am a Christian and my faith is in God as the maker of all living things that are on the face of earth. However, science over the years has tried to logically explain the existence of mankind and other living things through many theories. Despite these theories, some things are still left unaccounted for, which makes man in his quest to understand, more puzzled day in day out. Speaking with my friends and non friends as well on the issues of faith and belief in a deity made me realize today that most people do not believe and even those who do, do not understand what half of what they believe in is about. As a Nigerian, I grew up with the teachings that there are supernatural powers in the world. Powers that can be used for both good and evil, and man being man, evil is mostly the order if the day due to their selfish nature. Which side are you on? Do you believe in God or do you hold the opinion that science is and explains it all? My own point if view should be clear already because I have rightly said that I am a Christian and being one, it is only normal for me to believe that God is supreme and above all. Though you might not agree with this take of mine, which I can understand cos that's your choice but at least I have an explanation for a scenario where science says that they cannot find anything medically wrong with a sick person but in the end God heals such a person. Many people would say this dosen't hold water too cos like doubting Thomas, they only believe what they've seen. I am not one to criticize the belief of others and respect people's opinions so I will say this that we all have a choice and choose we must. The bottom line of it all is to live a life that doesn't harm one's self and others too and above all do the right thing. Author's Epilogue My data was long and tiring and I can't wait to lay on my bed and sleep. The sunlight today was on another level, it must have probably been welcoming us into the new month. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

No to pride! Howdy guys!! How are you? How did your day go? I'm guessing that some of us had a tiring day filled with so many activities or a quiet and peaceful day for rest and the likes. Whichever day you had, I just hope that it was nice and to your liking. I'm the kind of person that is open to learning and talking to people as long as they don't feel so much pride just because they are teaching me. Not that it matters so much but I just detest pride and I don't like it one bit. I always wonder why people are proud. I mean the fact that you know how to dance for example should not be a reason why you would allow pride become the order of the day, making it seem like every other person who can't dance is useless or so to speak. Pride according to the bible goest before a fall. This is a popular saying that we all have heard and say from time to time yet, those who want to be proud are proud still. Being extremely good at something should be celebrated yes! It is an achievement that is not easy to come by and worthy of praise. It is a common sight in society to see such a person begin to swell and feel super important because they now feel like the world revolves around them. This is simply pride! We all have to be careful though, to make sure that we shield our heart from pride creeping in cos it is very deadly and can come in at any time especially when out guard is down. Most people now begin to mistake self worth and pride. They now begin to think that they are not being proud but now know how much value they have and are simply changing their views of themselves and how people should see them too. While the above mentioned are not wrong, it has to be worthy of note that the line between both is thin hence the need to be careful. There are people who simply think that everyone who respects themselves abs do not talk so much in public or have certain principles like not eating outside and the likes are very proud. Knowing how to respect one's self is not pride at all, so we should be careful too how we group people into these categories. **Lead image source** https://www.pinterest.com/pin/188166090656196307/ Author's Epilogue I'm glad that me and mine made it to the end of the month in one piece. It's a new month in a few hours and I'm excited. Hail November 🤗 Thanks for reading.. Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵

@Mhizutty

One day left🤗 Happy last Sunday of the month guys!!! I'm super duper excited. It feels to good to be close to the end of the year, Christmas especially is one of the things I can't wait. How'd your day go? Mine was splendid and filled with Thanksgiving and dancing, alot of dancing. It's worth it to be happy cos many are dead, sick or close to a bad situation but me and mine are good and in the hands of God. Whilst I'm in the celebratory mood, I really want to talk about something that I encountered in church today so we can all learn a lesson from it. Most people have no issues spending $20 on a piece of clothing or on an outing, to see the movies and more. It is termed giving one's self a treat when they do it. Others call it flexing, something that every human must do every once in awhile. So whether they are spending an outrageous sum for these activities which really are just for fun, it dosen't matter to them nor make them feel like they are spending alot cos they are spending it for themselves and their loved one. When church gets involved, then all hell breaks loose. Any pastor who preaches that his congregation should give more is branded a thief who should go and work and not extort money from others. We needed money for somethings in church today and my pastor tried to raise funds. Where I was seated, I began to hear all sorts of ill comments from some members of the congregation who were close to me. It's one thing not to give and this i understand cos you might not have or you might also have but don't want to give. That's okay! What isn't right is saying that people are being extorted and all other stuffs, thereby making your neighbor also feel uninterested all cos you think it's extortion. No body ever says that the tickets sold for outrageous prices is extortion, instead we throw our money to buy it under the guise of it's needed or it's enjoyment. I know there are pastors who over do, but should all pastors be grouped under this umbrella? Definitely not! We should learn to give to God when we feel like, from the depth of our hearts and when we don't want to give, we should keep quiet about it. Someone once said to me that the yams and foodstuffs that we take to church are not for God but for the pastor so he should stop saying it's for God and we should stop buying it. I answered him and said even if it's for my pastor, is it too much for me to give him yam and foodstuffs once in a year? We over think these things sometimes and I feel like they are unnecessary. Giving in the church is a good use if one's money as far as I'm concerned and should be engaged in by all. Author's Epilogue I had a good day today but didn't get back to school till late evening cos I had to wait for my mom. Yes, I went home to have a taste of home food once more and it was worth it. I'm considering doing it every weekend. **Thanks for reading** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

All About Today.. Hey guys! Today was a better day than yesterday In many ways and I was super glad that it went the way it did. I called a friend earlier today in the morning to be specific and the message in the above image popped up. Whilst I was waiting for my friend to pick up his phone, I read the message and decided that I was going to write about it, so here I am. Mistakes are one of the best things that can happen to us. I say this because it comes with an opportunity to start again while knowing the steps that went wrong before. Nothing makes a journey smoother than knowing the exact road to follow and this effect is one of the many advantages that comes with encountering and learning from our mistakes. It's very weird for me to see people make the same mistake over and over and over and over again. I'm always like what!!! How can you make the same wrong choice that you made before, even after knowing how the end will be. Most people defend themselves by saying at the time, it didn't seem like they were making the wrong choice again, that it felt different. Just like the text above says, success comes from learning from mistakes and knowing what not to do. One of the errors people make is that they want to learn from their own misfortunes. There's nothing wrong with this at all as the lesson learnt would probably stick more, but why wait to feel the hurt and pain by yourself, before you actually learn. There are always stories of events that fly around, why not learn from those instead of waiting for personal experiences? The number of mistakes we make do not really matter, as long we are not making the same mistake over and over again. Imagine teaching a child how to write the letter A and everytime, the child makes a mistake even after you've corrected her many times. How would you feel as the teacher? If I were the teacher, you'd probably be hearing screams from the child cos I've dealt with him or her. The above is exactly how some adults behave. If I could go around flogging people, I would but sadly I can't, so I just sit and watch with pain In my heart. Every mistake made should be learnt from else the whole process would be nothing but a waste. Mistakes are simply the road to doing better, with time. **Author's Epilogue** I had a wonderful time today at my brother's place. I paid them a visit and spent most time of my day with his family and it's newest member baby Thalia. Cute name right? Here's a picture of the both of us😁. She's sleeping on my body and I managed to get a pic. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Too hot.. I know I may sound like I am ungrateful and do not appreciate the concept of times and seasons but I just can't deal with how hot the weather has been recently. People usually say although on a lighter note especially when the sun is too hot that "the gates of hell may have been opened". As inappropriate as this may sound, it is a description I can work with right now cos today's sunlight was really nothing pleasant at all. I started by saying that I might sound ungrateful and this is because I washed alot of clothes and was cleaning my hostel thoroughly cos I had not done it since I got back due to the water issues. The sun being so hot today allowed all of my clothings, bags and shoes, infact everything that I washed dried. That would have been impossible if it had rained but still I am not happy at how high the sun shone today. I kept on thinking about the people who were at the market selling underneath the direct impact of the sun with no roof or shade and I almost shed a tear. This is one of the hardships that many families have to undergo before they can survive abs pay necessary bills. I never thought that I could really learn any lesson from sunshine but I did learn alot today and I'm about to share. They are; **What pleases you may not please you forever:** I woke up very early to start washing and cleaning and by 7am, I already had clothes on the line outside and was waiting for sunshine. Hours later, sunlight came and I was happy and overjoyed that my clothes would get dry. However, the hours that followed after came with me wishing that the sun would just tone down a bit or better still go into oblivion cos the heat was more than I could bear. This is a clear depiction that nothing is worth dying over cos they may seem important and worth it this minute and the next, they are totally worthless. **Your situation is never the worst:** I was in my house and cleaning and was complaining about how hot the sun was but there were people trekking, heading from one place to another directly in the sun while others are selling or trading or doing one thing or the other. Today, I had felt like the heat I was feeling was the worst in the world but then I knew mine was nothing compared to those in the markets and instead began to sing and clean my house in peace. Your situation may be bad but it is definitely not the worst in the world. **Be patient:** towards 3pm, the scorching nature of the sun began to subside and finally I was at peace. The heat began to go away and I wasn't so tired as I was anymore. The lesson I picked from this is that hard times only last a season so be patient! It dosen't matter how long those troubles may dwell or linger, they would definitely vanish in the end and welcome peace and good tidings, only if one endures and keeps fighting. Don't ever let your problems get the best of you, keep fighting! It's surprising how one can pick up lessons from even the smallest and inconsequential things. Today has really been an eye opener for me and I hope you have be reminded a thing or two. I still don't like the hot sun though, I'd gladly trade it for something else cos today wasn't funny at all.. Author's Epilogue I'm happy I've been able to complete cleaning my house. It feels so good to finally breathe in fresh air. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Appreciate what you have! It's no secret to Nigerians that universities that were closed down because of the strike have been opened and students have been called back to resume in their academic journeys. Myself being a student as left for school a few days ago. I packed my bags and every belonging I had in my mother's house while bidding her goodbye and saying in my heart that she would not be seeing me in months. I was so excited to finally go back to being the boss of myself and deciding what I would do with my time but one thing I forgot about was that everything that has an advantage comes with a disadvantage. I first got to school and there was no water nor light in my hostel. I almost fainted cos I wasn't expecting that at all. I felt a pang of pain in my chest and it seemed as if someone had hit a fat rod on my head. As if that was not enough, my room was looking like a heap of dirt. Apparently, rodents had turned my belongings to theirs in the 8 months I was away and trust me, they showed no mercy. I have been struggling to clean with the no water situation so I can live like a normal human but with each step I make at progress, it seems like I have not yet begun. As if that was not enough misery for anyone to be in, I have to trek to school everyday where there is light so that I can charge my phone and other things cos I do not own a generator. Having done this for two days, thoughts of home are beginning to flash to my mind and I'm really considering going back to rest and be taken care of because I've been suffering since I got to school. I have began to eat late at night cos by the time I come back, it would be late already and it's either I cook or I'd eat junk or sleep hungry. I miss the days I used to come back home and meet my food in the kitchen sitting and waiting for me. I even had the luxury to select and complain if they cook what I didn't feel like having and I'd still be petted and told to manage it on top. Now I'm here wondering where those days have gone and it hurts. You who has the opportunity to enjoy good life should appreciate those who work hard to make it happen and if you're the one doing it all by yourself, appreciate yourself while you still can cos there are days coming where you might look around for those things and they are absent. I have been taught a valuable lesson for these two days and I won't forget it in a hurry. I had thought that I wouldn't miss home anytime soon as I had enough of it for 8 months and more but I have been proved otherwise. I really can't wait for December to come already so I can just go home and be with my family. I miss they already! You have to promise me you won't tell them though, cos if they do find out I won't hear the last if it ever! **Lead image source..** https://www.freese.com/blog/how-water-utilities-can-reassure-their-customers Author's Epilogue They have supposedly fixed the light today and water is running now. I'm still patiently waiting to set my eyes on the light though, that's if it comes at all today. Anyways, wish me luck. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

A Little Kindness Finally, after eight long months! The powers that be in the Nigeria tertiary institution system have decided that students ought to do their studying in class and not in their father's house. ASUU has called of their strike and the management of my university deemed if fit for us to resume activities today. I really don't know what I was expecting them or the whole affair, but sitter Ng here, assessing the whole day, I think it was overly underwhelming. Despite the resumption of academic activities, my class didn't need to be in school as all we had left to do was prepare our industrial training report, a task that didn't require our presence in school. But, like always, a lecturer needed to flex his muscle for the sake of his undue and overly inflated ego, imposing on us to be in school today. I thought about defying him altogether, but just for my mum's sake, I just went. You would think I would be at least happy to see my other course mates, but what I got was a reminder of the most common human trait; a good old dose of selfishness and using people for one's own gain at any cost. I really don't know what people are turning into these days. I don't expect everyone to be mother Theresa, but at the very least, can we just show a little consideration for other people's feeling?? Imagine people that didn't bother to check on me once over a period of 8+months coming today to ask me to give them materials for their report; which is an inadvertent way of asking me to pass them my report, so they can literally copy it and spin it, then submit it as theirs. These kind of things makes you wonder what it means to be friends with people. Because when the people you call your own only remember you when they need to use you for their own gain, then I don't think I want to have friends at all. A little kindness is enough for anyone to see how this is really wrong, but I guess there's so very little kindness left in the world. With the killings and inhuman behavior, I guess it says it all that the quest for self has vaporized the love that mankind was supposed to have for each other. What's worse is that we all claim to be kind and love others but frankly, there are only few that practice this. Are you one of them? **Author's Epilogue** I don't know if I can take any positivity from the day, except I am alive, healthy and fed, however stressed to my marrow, but I guess tomorrow will bring with it more kindness and maybe a little love. A girl can hope. I'm going to try and get some seriously needed rest and sleep. Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵

Cravings.. Today started out as a nice day I think. I was woken up by the sound of gunshots at about 12:11am in the early hours of the morning. I had heard the first one and thought maybe my mind was playing tricks on me and went back to sleep. A few mins later as I was settling back to sleep I heard another one and there was third one that finally got me alarmed and scared. After much initial fear, I later found out that we were safe and the shots were from a nearby house that were burying their father that day. I got angry after I learned this because I didn't see the need for the gun shots but I later made my peace with it and later went to bed. I woke up later and got ready for work. As soon as I got to work, I started to feel hungry and was craving alot of absurd things. This week can be called craving week as I've had the urge to eat alot of things. It first started with me wanting to drink malt. With the way I was craving it, one would think that it's been years since I drank one but that was not the case. I just had to get the malt and drink it. One would think that my crave for things would end but it sure didn't. The next on the list was cookies. Maryland Cookie is my all time favorite and I've loved it from the moment I tasted it all thanks to my friend Isioma who has now given me a cause to spend my money on😁. Too bad I don't have a picture, but I would have shared it with you. I have searched all around me to find it but I couldn't and have rested. It would definitely be the number one thing on my list when I get back to school. Another thing I felt like having was pancakes. I made some a few days ago and I enjoyed it but somehow I felt like eating it again today. The taste was so lovely as I imagined it and I really wanted it so bad. I will try to have some tomorrow as I still have some flour and other ingredients I used the last time. The last thing I felt like having was chi exotic. It is a fruit juice that I love so much and my favourite flavour is coconut and pineapple. If I had a fight with you and you offered me a cold can of this juice, you'd definitely win my heart over. I just can't wait to have a taste of the goodness once more. Could have had it today but it wasn't available when I checked for it. One thing I'm glad for is that all the things I craved today we're not so expensive and within my budget. Imagine I had wanted something I couldn't afford, I'd definitely be feeling bad. I have still not been able to get some but I will do so as soon as possible, so I can have peace of mind. Author's Epilogue I'm sorry if this article is a deviation from my usual, I had a hard time coming up with what to write so I just let my mind do what it wants. **Thanks for reading still...** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

My point of view.. It's funny how it could be raining at one street and not in the the next, even though they are within the same area. Occurrences like this have become the order of the day as the year slowly rolls away. Today's own was very alarming, as everywhere was so dark that we all began to head for home. I was lucky to have escaped the rain as when I got home it wasn't raining yet but my sister said it started already before she entered the vehicle and when she got close to the house the rain was nowhere to be found. In continuation, I walked into my house after a long day and my mom greeted me with news that a baby in my house had his birthday today. So I went to greet the mother and baby Solomon. He was all smiles and was very cheerful. He just clocked one. It was as if he knew that today was a special day for him hence his happiness. Having spent all day at work, I was very tired and took a bath. Dinner wasn't ready yet so I hung around the kitchen with my mom. As we were at the back of the house I noticed that the whole house was in a busy mode and my neighbors were getting set to go out to celebrate the child. From the way they were dressed, one would think that it was an adult's birthday and not that of a child. And what made me more shocked was that they dressed the child up too to take him along at this odd hour of the night. I am so shocked but I am not happy cos to me it is a wrong practice that society has adopted. In a one year old birthday party, you will not find kids anywhere. There will be canopies and chairs but adults will be everywhere smoking and drinking and dancing. I am confused really, if in a child's birthday you invite your friends but not their kids, what will you do when it's your own birthday. Imagine my neighbors, after hosting their friends today and having a good time in the day, they have also gone further to continue by night without actually doing anything that the child loves. I once mentioned it to a friend and he told me that most people throw parties these days to make money. If they were to invite kids, they would not get any money back unlike the way they would if there were adults all over. Reasons like this are why I feel the western world are wiser and smarter than us. You would never see them invite just adults to a kid's birthday party. The adults who even come are there to only act as chaperones for their kids they came with. Reasons like this are why I want to be the first lady of my country so I can sensitize and oversee these issues no matter how trivial they may be cos they do affect society negatively whether we admit it or not. Author's Epilogue I wish baby Solomon a happy birthday but I'm sure that he'd be fast asleep before his parents come back from partying. I'm sorry for my rant, I just had to let it out. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Tragic End I really heard a shocking story that made me feel pained. Crazy things just keep happening daily that makes me wonder that they are not normal at all. How does one kill someone that they claim to have loved? Not just kill, but in a very mortified manner. A manner that makes one doubt if such love once existed at all. My elder sister stopped by the house this evening to see us. I came back and met her and was so excited to see her cos it had been a long time since we last saw. Well not so long but I have missed her and it was nice to have her around as we laughed and shares stories of that past, present and future together. It was during our talk that she mentioned that one of her church members, a lady who was in the ushering department was killed by her so called boyfriend. I was so shocked when I heard it and I pressed for more details. Apparently, she had gone to visit him in his house and they had a squabble which generated to a fight that got heated. Heated up to the extent that the boy angrily grabbed a knife and stabbed her on the chest. You needed to see my eyes at this moment, I felt like it would pop out of my head. To think that was bad enough, what the dude did next was worse. He pushed her and locked her in his room and them called her mother to come and pick her daughter that he dosen't know if she is dead or alive. After the phone call, he fled. On getting to the apartment, the door was locked and had to be forcefully opened but her lifeless body was what was found. How sad! I can't even imagine the horrible sight at all, how does a mother see their child lying on the floor dead just like that. To even further infuriate me, they said the guy called and was asking if the girl was dead? So that he would know whether to be on the run or come back home. He must simply just be the devil reborn. If this was acted as a movie, I'd probably say the script was lame but a person just lost their life to some stupid argument that could have been resolved on the long run. I guess we should all learn from it and know when to walk out of a fight before it becomes too late. Most couples want to argue until they die and not willing to concede. Knowing when to stop whether you're right or not doesn't make anyone a fool but the bigger person. Author's Epilogue I'm still in shock and emotionally down. My sister really knew this dead lady and I just feel like I know her too even though I don't. May her soul rest in peace 🕊️ **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

The Journey Called Life! Hello read.cash fam! I hope you have been good? I've been away for some hours but I'm back and I'm gonna do something differently today. I was going through @Olasquare 's article when if finally struck me that I should attempt to do something in his style and here it goes. Another Sunday to be thankful Happy Sunday guys...it's the third Sunday in the month of October. Yay! I'm grateful to God for yet another week gone and another which has begun. I hope your church service was nice today? I guess the first question I should ask was if you went to church? Well if your answer is yes, then you're doing well and you should keep it up and if your answer is no then you try to attend next week cos it is important. The message today was on eternal life and whilst the word was being shared, I kept thinking if I'd make heaven should Jesus come right there and then. I actually knew my answer would be no cos by my standard I didn't even qualify imagine if it were God's standard? I'd probably be thrown from heaven in a grand style 😂 The good thing I made amends today and it felt good to have the guilt and weight off my shoulders and I hope that his grace is sufficient for me to make heaven. For the christians reading this, we all know that heaven is the goal that we all strive for. For the non christians, I say well done ma and sir😁 I just remembered something I heard before the choir processed in this morning. Some of the choristers we're sharing stories of how flood had carried a person, a little girl to be specific in the rain that fell yesterday. Many thoughts ran through my mind at once. First I was mad at the government for not having done anything about that particular junction that has claimed lots of lives for years now. A family had once been carried by flood at that same spot years ago. A father and his two daughters were also carried but the man and one of his daughters were rescued while the other died. I can not begin to name the number of lives that we've lost to that particular spot and with each death I remember, I get sadder and sadder. We've lost another yet again. A little girl who had so much ahead of her but all of those have been cut short. I don't want to even mention the pain and sadness the family must be in right now. To think my friends and choir members had to pass through that spot yesterday and they got home safe. As soon as I heard the news it hit me that God is faithful to me and mine and I just don't express it enough. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has heard of deaths in places where we just passed. There was one time that I had just passed a certain street, less than 20mins later news came that stray bullet killed an innocent boy who was passing by. It could have easily been me. My gratitude has been if the highest today and frankly that's how it ought to be daily cos God does alot that he deserves to be appreciated for. We should learn to make it a habit at all times. **Author's Epilogues** Today's service was magnificent in its own way and once again I danced, danced and danced. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

Sweetness! The tone of my ringtone from my phone on my night stand woke me up. It was 6am on Monday money and somehow I was almost close to sleeping in. Thanks to my phone waking me up. I climbed out of bed with sleepy eyes. Some part of me wanted to go back to bed and sleep till I was tired from sleep but I can't cos I had to go to work. After I knelt down to pray and thank God for my a good night's sleep and commit the day into his hands, I got out of my pajamas and headed for the bathroom to carry out the usual morning ritual of getting ready. Whilst brushing my teeth, I remembered that my phone buzzed and picked it up to check who the message was from. My eyes widened and I could feel butterflies in my belly instantly. If felt too good to be true. The message read; ***I remember the day I set eyes on you like yesterday, That was the day that something good came my way.*** ***Everyday I earnestly pray that nothing would make you go away, I love you so much, more than words can say.*** It seemed like timed passed and the world stopped. I was completely blown away from the words that were sweetened with love and delivered with care. I couldn't quite describe the feeling, happiness, joy, love, laughter and affection all mixed together. I felt to loved, too loved. I continued to ponder on the words from the text as the water poured on my body. The cold water touching my body seem to have jarred my body back from trip to wonderland and I suddenly became aware of how much time has gone. I had less than 10mins to rush out of the house and get to the office. I was too late to commute, so I would have to get an Uber to come pick me up and drop me at the office. At exactly 7:15am, my driver arrived. He was a young man named femi and I made sure to match the plate number on my screen to that of the car to verify. I had heard a story of how a girl was kidnapped because the wrong vehicle came to pick her up while she thought it was the taxi she ordered. After I double checked, I stepped into the car and then decide to call the love of my life. I rang his phone and after three rings he picked. Just the sound of his voice seem to have brought the butterflies back to my belly. The way he sounded so full of love as he called me babe sent goosebumps running through my skin. He was miles away and here I was getting goosebumps from the sound of his voice. Me telling him about last night, how I slept and how I was in an Uber to work was a normal part of my morning. It didn't seem to be complete until we spoke on my way to work. We are usually on the phone with each other until I get to my office, talking about what the day held for the both of us. As my taxi finally pulled into the car park of **National institute for agricultural matters (NIFAM)** I began to bid my love goodbye while already longing to hear his voice again soon. As I walked into the office, thoughts of him were the only thing on my mind. If felt so good to feel loved this way. As soon as I sat down and was getting ready to dive into the day, my secretary walks up to me with a package in her hands she said came for me. A package for me? With surprise In my eyes, I opened the box and lying inside was a little jewelry box and a card. I opened the jewelry box a cute necklace with two hearts merged together as it's pendant lied within. The card that came with it read, 'a token of my love'. As soon as I saw the note, I knew it was from him. Just when I thought he couldn't be more sweet, the sweetness just gets better. If my life were a book, it'd definitely be called SWEETNESS! **Author's Epilogue** Yay!! I was able to finish it. I spent all day In church and I'm so tired. I can't wait to sleep. **Thanks for reading..I hope the rest of your day is sweet!** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

The hope of friends.. I stared at my blank page for a few mins trying to come up with something to write and it just wasn't coming. I have given but this is me just trying to see if something will come along the way like it usually does. It's so sad that the academic staff union if universities in Nigeria has decided to call off it's strike and we are all happy. I have tried to smile at the occurrence but it just won't happen. What runs through my mind is how they have tampered with 8 months of my life. Now I'm thinking, what was it all for in the first place? So what they just went on strike only to get promises which they already had and gave up 8 good months. I can't wrap my head around how the government seems to think that this occurrence is okay to even let it happen year after year. Just last year, I have up 9 months to the same strike and same promises were made only for them to go back to their default less than a year later to take another 8 months from me. What hurts is that these people will he paid for their 8months at home while us the students had rents that we're counting for that 8 months, foodstuffs that got wasted fir that 8 months, dreams that were put on hold and relationships that were thwarted all for their meaningless strike. I would be less angry if we resume and the chairs in our lecture centres got changed and replaced with new ones, or if more LTs were built and we didn't have to rush to class so we could get space cos if the high numbers and low infrastructure. It's just sad. The average Nigerian whose children are in these public universities are definitely in another world. A world of pain, hardship and a choked system of doing things still were willing and they never fail to extinguish the fire cos that seems to be their priority. I'm only grateful for the friends we make along the way who help to put a smile on our face which make us overcome bad days. These friends have been rays of hope in darkest times and I appreciate them. Sometimes I imagine if we were alone alone to face challenges and I'm grateful that we were created with the ability to meet people. The friends I have made who I've missed is one of the strongest reasons why resuming is not so bad. It would definitely be nice to see them again after spending 8months apart. I guess I'll just take things as I see them, and pray that I have the opportunity to be the change that my country needs. **Lead image source** https://openlightmedia.com/2020/the-one-who-has-hope/ Author's Epilogue See, I was about to come up with something meaningful In the end. I never really knew I felt the way I did until I started writing. I can't really say I wrote this article, my subconscious did. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

I was shocked 😳 Hey guys... being away for most of the day almost makes me want to just sleep without uploading an article today but I said no. We couldn't access read.cash for some hours today and alot of thoughts began to run through my mind. I was so glad when @Kushyzee that it had finally started working and I immediately took my phone to check and realized that it was true. What a relief! I was at my place of work yesterday when what I'm about to tell you happened. I didn't know what was going on initially but I later got to find out. I was descending the stairs when I saw people shouting catch him! Catch him! Thief! Thief!. I couldn't believe my ears. I checked the time and it was about 3:20pm. I was feeling hungry so I was going to get myself lunch downstairs. It was when I came out that I saw the crowd and began to ask questions but no one really knew how it happened. All we knew was that a boy stole and he was being chased by angry passerbys who later caught him and began to beat the theft out of him. At first I told myself that I wouldn't pity him cos if he was hungry or needed money and didn't have a job, why not beg? Begging is far better than stealing. When I saw a glimpse of how the beating was going down, I began to fell sorry for the dude cos there's no way one person can take all of those hits and remain the same. I was certain he would have a swollen face and broken ribs. Yes the country is hard, even the world at learn is not left out from the high cost of things but we're all trying to survive by doing legal businesses to fetch us money and not stealing. If you ask me, theft is even more difficult that an actual job. Cos it involves days of planning and a lot of courage. Why would the person not just channel all of that energy and planning into something legal and productive. I felt bad for the dude cos his reputation has been tarnished. I was surprised that he didn't trend on social media, it's like the crowd had pity on him or something. We should be content with what we have because we do not know what the people who throw money around buying flashy things do to get their money. **Godliness with contentment is great gain!** **Lead image source..** https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/photo/man-being-chased-by-crowd-of-yelling-men-royalty-free-image/200149337-003 Author's Epilogue As usual, I'll be off to bed soon. The day has been quite stressful and quality rest is needed. **Don't forget to always get quality sleep, it's very important. Thanks.** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Be intentional about it! I was making a phone call today and as usual, I saw the above message pop up on my screen so I decided there and then to write about it. I'll be more focused on teens and youths cos I believe they are mostly affected by the band wagon effect- doing things simply because other people are. This seeming compulsion is becoming evident in almost all spheres of life these days. People especially youngsters now but and wear clothes because it is trending and everyone owns it so they do not want to be left out. What is more surprising to me is that both those with the means to get and those who actually make no form of money all strive to get these things. I was in church a few months ago and I over heard a teenager saying that she needed an iphone. Normally, I would not be interested in that conversation and just listen in the background but the word need there was something that I could not over look. As I sat and listened to here go on and on about how most of her friends now have iphones and she dosen't, I really wanted to know what she needed it for and so I asked. You would not believe the answer I got. She had told me that her friend said that to have quality TikTok videos, one needed to have an iphone and that's why she needed one. So I went further to ask her the kind of videos she had in mind thinking she would probably say something to make me less angry but to even further annoy me she said she would just be dancing and wearing fine clothes and hopefully she'll trend. Whilst most young people envy and want to be like their counterparts, I just wish that they would learn from the mistakes of their counterparts too. Why do we all feel the need to want to do what the majority is doing. It's like it is a spirit that just calls and keeps calling for attention. I was standing with a friend in church one day and she looked around and told me to sit and I asked her why? And she said I was the only one standing. I looked around and then I asked her is standing wrong? And she said No. So why then should I just sit because others are seated even when I don't feel like sitting? That's how society is right now. People only go when they are certain that crowds are moving with them. We should be intentional about our choices. Eat that food because it is what you want and not because someone else ordered it. Buy a new bag because you want to and can afford it and not because you're the only one still using an old one. We ought to remember that the habits and life we live today while we are young adults will stick with us even till we grow old cos habits and patterns are not so easy to break out off. Do that thing because you want to, be intentional about that choice from now on. **Lead image source..** http://johncarrier.blogspot.com/2012/08/being-intentional.html Author's Epilogue Today turned out to be a good day. There's alot of tension in the air cos we are anticipating news about school resuming tomorrow after 8 months. Truth is I am not anxious at all, as I am surprisingly so calm. Let's see what tomorrow brings. **Thank you for your time..** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

I miss him.. Staring at the walls have now become my thing. I no longer know when I move from being conscious to my now constant state of seeming unconsciousness. Except, I am not really unconscious cos in those states I come alive. I can see myself smiling and running about with my Dele. The sounds of his laughter fills the air. Oh how wonderful he looks when he smiles. His penciled nose and wonderful cheekbones are heightened by the growing smile and become so visible. He is running towards me with arms open wide and here I am reeling in the attention. It ass feels so nice, the level of niceness that you only get from a romantic novel. Only this isn't my fantasy, but my reality. Dele is every every woman's dream. A perfect gentleman well built and perfectly shaped. God's own creation not just for anyone for me. My man! I remember how we met like yesterday, I had lost my purse and had no money on me and was stranded. I saw him seated in his now usual spot under the mango tree. He had not only helped me out but made sure I was okay and he kept smiling all through that I just concluded he was an Angel. The mango tree soon turned into our mango tree cos we spent good, perfect and wonderful times there, making memories that I'd never forget. Those times were magical. No! Magical is insufficient and dosen't do justice, they were simply beyond words. Soon after I became Mrs Dele. The Joy I felt wearing his ring on my finger. My smiles were golden and if they were appraised would have sold for a million dollars. I love my man, oh my Dele. The breakfasts in bed, the loving atmosphere, the times together, even the fights and quarrels, everything reeked of love. Dele my love. How he holds me and twirls me in his arms. The subtle way he tickled me and made me feel like a baby, his baby. The way he tucked me in bed and sang for me on long night where I couldn't sleep. That voice became my sound and I his muse. We were and will forever be a perfect Duo. ***Lara! Lara! Omolara! You are gone again.*** I finally hear my mother's voice break into my thoughts. "See the food I placed there for you to eat, you have left it untouched" she rebuked. Dele is gone and not coming back, God bless his soul. Eat my child, she begs. I couldn't hold back the tears as she spoke, It felt like I had not cried enough, that I had just started to mourn all over again. No! Dele can't be gone, he was just hugging and holding me minutes ago. I miss him, I finally manage to say out loud In a whisper. **Lead image source** https://sermegans.blogspot.com/2021/01/lonely-girl-pictures-wallpaper.html I've forgotten to acknowledge @Infinity for the sponsorship. I'm sorry it's coming quite late but I appreciate and it means alot . Thanks! **Author's Epilogue** What a day today has been. My phone died and I could not come up with this article on time. I'm glad I was able to combat sleep and drop it, I hope you like. **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Show a little kindness.. Lately I've been wondering why certain people just up and take their own lives. I mean how does one just let go of the thought of their loved ones and family, the prospects that their life in the future could hold and the many beautiful things in this world to see. I guess these people have seen so much sadness, pain and backwardness to want to let their life go. The economy of the world right now is not helping matters at all. Things are on the high side, so high that an average man has to toil day and night to feed his family. I pity those families who have children that would make the first eleven for a football team. Whilst it is absurd for anyone to have that amount of children, people actually do and they have to eat, school and wear clothes. I am being kind as to not mention hospital bills for when they eventually fall I'll which is inevitable. Clearly things are just set out to cause pain for the average man who really has nothing much in terms of finance. How do these people survive? How do they live from one day to the next? It's no wonder people are now more angry on the streets. One now has to be careful to not offend another cos an hungry man they say is an angry man. Is there hope? With life comes hope. As long as we breathe, then all hope is not lost. Any situation can change for good I'm a matter of minutes so we have to remain positive. No condition or circumstance is worth dying for, we have to keep pushing. When we're at crossroads, we have to thrive on. When we're at the deep end, we have to hold on so we don't drown. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. How can I help? You may not be able to feed a man and his family of 11 kids but you can offer him words of encouragement. These are not times to laugh and look down on people cos times are hard. Instead we should spread the love to as many as we can reach cos we all need each other to survive. Author's Epilogue I can't really say why my thoughts ventured here tonight. I had just opened a blank page and began to write aimlessly and it ended up here. I guess it's a message for us all. **Show someone kindness today!** **Thanks for reading, you're awesome!** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

What a day! Hello guys...I hope your Sunday went well? Now that I think about it, there's a possibility that it's already the early hours of Monday morning for some. If that is the case for you, I hope it's going well? Today has turned out to be one of the most stressful Sundays I've had in months now and it sure didn't go as I planned it. Church service was beautiful, I got to church so late cos I woke up late and couldn't get ready on time. I also had to make sure I eat today which is something that I don't normally do on Sundays and that contributed to my lateness. I had to have breakfast cos I was on some drugs to help boost my appetite and immune system. I've been having series of stress outbreaks for some time now so they were prescribed and I had no choice but to take them. I couldn't take a picture of today's outfit but I looked nice. I wore heels which is something I don't do so often considering I'm very tall but I decided to look chic today and it felt nice. The Sunday Soon went from nice to long when I looked at the wall clock we had in church and it was 1:02pm and the service was still nowhere close to ending. I couldn't cry, shout and neither could I sleep cos I was holding a microphone and was supposed to be ready to sing whenever it was needed. I had thought I would die from the hunger and headache that were beginning to increase with each minute that wound by. I couldn't express my joy when the closing prayers were made and I headed straight for home. I got home and checked the time and it was 3:05pm. I was too tired to even take my clothes off. I just went straight to the kitchen to get myself food, which I ate and then slept. I must say I am stressed but I thank God I was able to sleep and I feel slightly better. I hope your Sunday was better than mine? Author's Epilogue Today was a day! I'm just glad that it's over and it will be Monday Soon. Not that I like Mondays, but I'm open to the possibility of it being a better day so I'm excited. **Thanks for reading my rant, I would have written something earlier but I had to rest.** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

Positive Thinking Have you ever been with a person who always see the bad in every situation? How did you feel? I walked with someone who I can't really call a friend cos we had just met and happened to be headed the same place hence we walked together. Before we got to our destination, all she said we're negatively inclined or had negative outcomes in the end. Quite frankly, I became scared at the ease with which spewed negative thoughts and it began to bother me. There's a bible verse that says **"as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is"** and remembering this verse, I wondered if that was how negative her entire thoughts were and it scared me. She asked me in one of her weird statements, what if as we crossed a vehicle came and hit us both, what would become of us? In less than a few minutes, she added if I had the choice of picking between being blind and losing a limb, which would I pick? These were very weird to me cos I didn't see why a sane person would just sit down and asking weird questions that were so negative. I have been told many times that I am also too positive in my thinking but I don't see why I should choose to think negative when I can do positive. Most people say that when you think on the negative outcome of an event, it helps you stay prepared and ready for whatever outcome arises. Whilst I agree with being prepared on all fronts, I don't see the wisdom behind staying negative all the time. Why always think of what you'd do if you go in a accident, or lost a limb or killed someone. What happened to thinking about what you'd do if you won the lottery or visa to travel abroad? Personally, I feel like staying negative is an escape for most people because they are scared to confront positivity for the fear of failure. They always want to be prepared for failure and unpleasant outcomes. I like positivity! The only reason I think about someone I'm involved in failing is because I want to map out a plan to salvage the situation and once I've done that, I tell myself that I won't need it cos it will work out. Staying negative does more harm to the mind than good and with time it just becomes default. And I'm sure you'd agree with me that nobody wants to have a negatively inclined spouse or colleague or employee. ***Positivity is easy and worth it, let's make it a habit.*** **Author's Epilogue** My Saturday started with work and it's now I'm barely trying to rest. Still, I'm positive that it will be a good day regardless. I hope your day is going great too? **Thanks for reading..** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

October; be nice! Since this is my first article of the month, I guess it's not too late to say Happy New month guys!! October started with it's first day being the independence day for my country Nigeria. Whilst I am a proud Nigerian, I definitely am not proud of it's present status and pray that change comes as soon as possible. During the last days of the month of September I embarked on a trip to one of the popular states of my country and that once again reminded of the state of bad roads that we have and will probably have for more years to come. This article is definitely coming out of itself cos I had intended to just write about my day but I think I'll just let it flow wherever my hand take me. Have you ever travelled and your vehicle broke down on the way? This happened to me! As if the ride was not already uncomfortable enough, the clutch of our bus needed repairs and that made is spend another 3 hrs just there at a Mechanic's garage fixing the clutch. I was so happy when I heard the sound of the engine come on finally and we were on our way. To cut this whole long story short, a journey of 5hours ended up lasting for 13 hours plus. We had left home by noon and arrived our destination the early hours of the following day. I definitely could not move my legs when we came down from the vehicle and almost fell. Luckily,people were all around to quickly stabile me cos my wobbly legs almost gave way. What brightened the whole thing up was that the event we attended was worth it and brought smiles to my face and quickly wiped away the sorry of that agonizing journey. Although now that I'm writing about it, traces of the pain are beginning to seep it but I won't let it. I was grateful when the journey back was void of all the hassle and stress. I was mostly sleeping, cos the event spanned all night and we didn't get much sleep, but it was a comfort to my soul to see us advancing and making progress each time I opened my eyes. The only thing that almost ruined it for me was when my head bumped against the glass of the window beside me. Apparently, our driver had hit a bad stop in the road. Although my head was hurting for those split seconds, what hurt more was his my sweet sleep was ruined and I just stayed awake till we got home. I was so glad when I sighted my bed and slumped Into it. I don't think I'll be traveling anytime soon except maybe by air though cos land travels are certainly not my favorite. **Author's Epilogue** October is here and I'm sure you've made plans and goals. I really didn't make much for the month, I just have one major goal and I hope I achieve it, God willing. **Thanks for reading, you're much appreciated!** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

@Mhizutty

It's another Monday! Usually I struggle out out bed every Monday. I always feel sad when the weekend rolls away so suddenly and brings in the every stressful Monday. Why can't the week just begin with Tuesday and eliminate Mondays totally? Thinking about it carefully, I have come to realize that whether Monday gets abolished, Tuesday would just replace it and we'd be back to same routine all over again. I had this conversation with mother a few months ago about how opinion on why the city is usually filled with people who are always in more rush than they ever are on other days of the weeks. Amongst the many things she said, one that particularly made me laugh was when she mentioned that weekends are usually costly to maintain. What she meant by this was that people spend alot when they're at home, footing bills and spending money to either have a good time outside of their homes to eat quality meals and rest. Having spent alot, they want to quickly rush off to their various places of work and make money to replace the plenty they've lost. At first I laughed at this cos it really made no sense but now that I think about it, there is an atom of truth in it. Weekends are mainly for relaxation and one of the things that accompany relaxation is spending money! Using the above logic and explanation, I can now clearly understand why it is that people are always in a hurry to meet up on Mondays. Even students are not left out. A parent can be comfortable to let their child miss school on other days but you see Monday, it's considered sacred and holy that you dare not think of missing school. Even students in the university are not left out. I've noticed that the streets too classes are usually filled with more students on a Monday than any other days of the week, so much that if you throw a grain of sand in the air, it definitely won't hit the ground. There is so much foot traffic on Mondays too than any other day. I personally just wish I could stay indoors on all Mondays but I know that it's impossible. I just hope that non of the holidays I enjoy fall on Mondays any time soon. I guess just super angry cosy Monday seems to have started in a bad light, anyways I'm positive it will get better. **Lead image source..** https://marketingevolution.wordpress.com/2011/07/18/monday-monday-7/ Author's Epilogue I hope you don't get bored reading my rant this morning, I'm actually writing this from a bus. Typing in the bus has also brought to my knowledge how raggedy the roads we have in my country are and I hope they get to be fixed soon but a part of me thinks it just might not happen. **Do have a nice day and thanks for stopping by .** **Mhizrutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

It's Not So Difficult, Try It! People always say be strong! Almost as if it is a crime to be weak. This mentality has been passed down from ages since the world began and the people who believe in this have taken it to be their driving force come what may. People who mostly fall victim for this are the male figures. They always want to push and push and push. Even when their body can't take it, you'll still see them pushing. In modern day society, females too are beginning to fall into this pattern and design, especially those who are responsible for their care and comfort and not only theirs but their loved one. This hustling spirit has eaten deep into society so much so that even when these people can no longer push and are asked to rest, they find it difficult to take time off to rest. Guys, why not rest sometimes and let other people take care of you? ***Frankly, I used to be guilty of this workaholic habit especially when it came to things of God and my choir in church. Being the choir MD and all, I used to always do everything by myself without taking a break with the mindset that there was no one else to do it if I didn't.*** ***I was so stressed for months but kept pushing week after week and it began to tell on my mental and physical health.*** ***Guess what finally happened guys? I broke down! I couldn't only go to church, I was bedridden for days and couldn't eat nor drink nor even sleep. Pills became my food and water and glucose my right hand man. I missed church for like 2 weeks straight and all of those activities that I feared would not go on without me were handled by someone else.*** Rest is needed by every living thing. If God the maker of all thing who made things from just his words that barely stressed him still took out time to rest on the seventh day, who are we? We want to provide for our families and pay the bills and all of that, if we are gone, would those things not continue to thrive? Ever since I had that experience, it has finally changed my perspective on how I view responsibilities. Yes they are mine to carry, but they are not meant to kill me! We should try to take a break and let the people or things we care for take care of us sometimes for a change. It's not so difficult, give it a try! **Lead image source** https://www.pinterest.com/pin/372109987934578832/ Author's Epilogue Howdy? I'm sure you've found today's article quite helpful, do the needful if you're guilty of the above mentioned and enjoy the rest of your day! **Mhizrutty the voice of Truth 🎵🎶🎵**

Story For Another Day... **Help! Help! Can someone help me!** A few seconds later I jolted out from sleep, beads of sweat rolling down my forehead and my spine. I could still hear the voice so loud and clear like it was real. Apparently it had been a dream, thank God! I just couldn't fathom what kind of dream that was. Still shaken and trembling from the mind altering experience called a dream I just had, I could see light streaming in from the blinds on the window. It was already so bright outside and it was seeming like I had slept in. I quickly reached out for my phone which was just close to me resting on the drawer by the bed. The time displayed 6:42am. I quickly jumped up and headed to the bathroom. As water gently trickled down my body I took in deep breaths trying to calm my mind still raging like a tsunami consuming anything in it's path. How does one keep cool after having such an experience. I have had tons of dreams but never had I had any that were as tormenting and horrible as this. I used to think the one I had last week where I was falling from a very high building into an unknown depth was the height of it but this one sure beats the chart. The sound of my alarm blaring jolted me back to present day as my mind had wandered off into it's usual journey where it forgets that I have a life to live and a job to attend to. Rushing getting dressed and skipping breakfast were decisions I made without any hesitation if I considered my job still important, unless I wanted to get another one. As if my morning was not already off to a rough start, my car refused to come on. There I was sitting in utter disbelief and confusion as I kept trying to get it started and instead of it working, it was making funny noises that soon sounded like laughter to me. What kind of ill luck was this, how could I be so unfortunate all in one morning. There and then I made a resolve to stop ignoring my pastor's calls and go see him so he could pray away all of this bad luck from me cos it's getting out of hand. What saved me was that my neighbor Mr Dave hadn't left for work already. Apparently, he also slept in and was running late. I quickly ran to him and he was more than happy to give me a ride and that was how I found my self at the office just at the same time as Mrs Ann was arriving. She just gave me a scornful look that sent cold shivers through me. Today is a day I do not want to repeat itself again till Jesus comes! Clara could not believe her ears as I narrated my eventful uneventful morning to her. So what was the dream all about, pray tell, she asked. Omor, that's a story for another day, I replied! It's not over until it is over.. I've often heard people say **"it's not over until it is over"**. Football lovers will definitely agree that they use this statement alot cos the remaining minutes for a football match to end are very crucial as both teams are trying their best to put the ball behind the net, almost as if they are using their last energy cos the final whistle is imminent. A team could be losing 1 nil in the 90th minute and end up winning the match by scoring 2 goals with 3 mins added time. That's why I'm football, it's never over until it is over. Does the result always turn out to be unexpected like the above scenario? Definitely not! A losing team might still end up losing even at the end of the match. A lot of phrases like the above mentioned exist and are used by people often, but I've come to notice that some are often misused or used to support claims that do not match. For instance, a woman finds out her supposed boyfriend is a husband to another woman and father of 2 kids. The best thing for her to do is walk away and avoid all the drama but she can decide to stay because the man loves her and begin to fight, fight and fight, after all it's not over until it is over. It is not wrong to have faith but faith placed on the wrong things or ideas is simply just a waste of faith. It's like a man having faith that a chicken will fly. It's is abnormal, has never happened and will possibly never happen***(I'm using possibly because strange this happen everyday😁)*** Whilst there are many factors that are responsible for the decisions that people take, it is better to consider all options and go with the best one that brings the most favourable result instead of blindly holding on to things that are bound to fail in the end. Every man whether great or small at every point in our life each have a quest at hand. Just as we're distinct in looks and attributes as no two people are ever completely alike, so also we need to have this knowledge about when to stop and continue. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the statement "it's not over until it is over" does not apply for all problems. Some things need to be allowed to end before they end themselves. Humans always want to wait, thinking that a certain miracle would happen along the way before the end comes, when they can clearly see that whatsoever it is should have ended a long time ago. It's almost as if we are programmed and wired to wait until we are about to be hurt to respond, when we could have avoided it all in the first place. There are situations that require great belief that it is not over and in those times we should fight till the very end. Which brings me to say, proper understanding of whatsoever motivational speech we use is needed so we don't end up making mistakes that we can't take back. Author's Epilogue Happy new month to you, my September started out in a good way, I hope the rest of the month is like that. I'm positive that this month will be kind and filled with laughter. ***Thanks for reading, you're much appreciated!*** ***Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵***

The younger generation.. A very good evening to you, yes you! I hope your day went well? Incase you're curious as to how mine went, it wasn't bad. Since it's the holiday's, I've been playing mum to my niece who came over to spend sometime with us. Even though I would rather just have my solitude, I'm stuck with her all thanks to the strike which has been on for 8 months now. Anyways I'm done complaining and I have started putting my time to good use. Whilst spending so much time with my niece, I realized how quickly kids of these days learn stuffs, especially those that we do not teach them. I have been trying to teach her how to write her alphabeths properly for awhile now and we've barely made progress but in that same time frame, she has learnt the song I used as my ringtone for my phone single handedly without being taught. Another shocking thing happened another day. My sister had a long phone call with a friend and we were all at home going about our own stuffs and at the end of the call, my niece was asking my sister why she was tired cos she heard her say that she was tired on the phone, to mention but a few. To think I was there too and I didn't even pay attention as much as she did. Although I knew kids paid attention more than we like to think I guess recent happenings have been an eye opener for me. We ought to be really careful with the conversations we have where kids are, whether they are our relatives or not. Funniest thing is that they may look like they are playing and not interested in what you're doing which is almost how they look all the time, still, they can hear some if not all of the things that you have said. Let me give another instance. *For the past one week, I have watched cartoons only, simply because that's the only thing my little niece can watch and what hurts is that they are the ones I've seen before but what to do?* *So that very day, I decided to watch a movie. I had given her something to writing so as she was writing, I was watching. Not long after, she came and stood by me and was watching with me. Later in the day, I do not know what led to what but next thing I heard was my name and my mum was asking me what kind of movie I gave to her to watch. Apparently, she had gone to tell her grandma that a boy to touching a girl's bumbum in my film she watched in my phone.* Even me that watched the whole film and understood the storyline cannot even remember that happening because it was so inconsequential in the movie but my niece did, and of all things that she saw, when they were praying, fighting, and more, she decided to say the touching bumbum part. Whilst I feel that this generation has tons of flaws in it, I just wish that we would keep it away from the younger generation. Sometimes when I think about the fate of the world and how things will be years from now, it scares me! This is because I just don't see salvation forthcoming at all. But who knows, maybe I'm the one with the impaired vision. We see so many kids learn rubbish without knowing because of where the grew up, or what they saw on a daily basis. I had this conversation with someone and the person said that saying a person is a product of their environment is an excuse. Her reason was that such person cannot say that he or she only saw bad things in that environment. Why didn't they become the good? Truth is the higher percentage always overshadows the rest. If bad is greater, it becomes more prominent and seen and the good will he like finding a needle in a haystack. Author's Epilogue I just hope that I've reminded you something today. That those kids around you have eyes and ears and a very sharp brain and memory. So we ought to be careful, especially with what we do and say around them. It we can't teach them something positive, they we shouldn't add negatively. This article feels like my debut after a while, whilst starting was difficult I just have to say that if feels good to be back! **Thanks for reading through friend, you're greatly treasured!** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

The journey.. It's been like forever since I last wrote on this platform. While trying to interact and read articles yesterday after the long break, I was surprised that I still knew how to do it and the flow was explicit like I never left. How I have been trying to start writing again here for over a month now but I just couldn't. Partly to how busy these past weeks have been and as if that wasn't enough, health challenges were the icing on the cake. I have to say that revisiting people's articles and getting responses to comments I made, made me realize that I missed everyone greatly. The seeming connection that we've all built even though we never really know each other from scratch and the kindness is all just welcoming. I have to say that the way I'm feeling right now is like a new user who just found the platform for the first time and it reminds me of my first article and hurdles I had to cross to get here. Where Is Here? I asked myself this question and after I did, I just went silent for a few minutes cos I couldn't come up with a perfect sentence to describe where "here" is. After trying so hard, I just gave up and as I was at that very edge of letting go of the thought, the perfect answer struck me! ***"Here is whatsoever I make it"*** As weirdly as it may sound, it made total sense to me and as much as I'll love to explain to you, I'll just let your imaginative power come to play, that's if you find it worth your while. Amongst other things that I've been up to since I was away, I've learnt that the fear of starting a thing is one of the things that can hold one back. Like I replied to @Olasquare 's article, I have had to personally let go of the fear of starting more times than I can count on one hand. It became so terrible that I was willing to quit all together than to start at all. It was so unlike me, that I felt I was probably trapped in someone else's body but sadly it was happening and it was me! I had to let go of so many activities and face this problem because that's what it was, a problem that needed solving. It took me time, support and sacrificing stuffs I enjoyed doing, but I'm glad I did because I've overcome it, at least to a very good extent. Author's Epilogue If you're like me and you've been scared of doing a lot of things lately, then you have what I have now named the **RECLINE SYNDROME..** It's not a legit name but sometime I made up myself. I choose this name being afraid to start simply makes you relent ans just relax at that spot you're in, not wanting to move. Motion is one of the easiest way to recognize a living thing. So it's expected of everyone of us. Not just motion, but moving towards the right thing. There's a journey ahead of us all that we should be ready to get involved in and time waits for no one.. **Thank you for reading my comeback article..🤗🤗🤗** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**

Power of Friends I've often heard people say that they do not have friends and I just laugh because 99 out of a 100 cases, they have friends but just haven't realized they do. Expectations or should I say societal definitions of things is one of the reasons why people always expect things to go a certain way and when it doesn't, then it's totally bad. Society has made a friend that person who isn't technically related to you by blood nor stems from your family, a person who was once a stranger but whose status got upgraded by virtue of the things you've experienced together..etc Really, who says that a friend mist be an abstract person who you haven't met before but got to know either from a party or at school? Family can be called friends too but people would rather not call their mom who they tell everything to their friend, simply because she's their mother. Some people think it's weird and can never make a friend out of family but I think otherwise. Whether we choose to believe it or not, the first friends we actually make are from family. It's so sad how people grow up and begin to look outward so much that they kill the relationships they have inward with family. Friends are people whose importance can never fully be described. I can't simply say that friends are people who have your back because it's more complicated than that. There are too many figures of speech that one could use to describe a friend cos they can fit into too many a context. I have a younger sister who I'm very much close to. We look alike and almost sound alike that people would literally mistake her for me if we wear the same outfits. We many be sisters, but we are also friends and I am not afraid to admit it. It is often said that most relationships start from friendship and love is a perfect example. This however is true but I want to add that friendship can also result from other relationships. Two strangers can get joined in an arranged marriage and become friends after awhile. Marriage led to friendship. I guess what. Saying today is that it doesn't always have to start with friendship most times because if you expect that all the time then you'd miss it. People can be enemies first before they become friends. There is the possibility of that and more, let's keep an open mind. Author's Epilogue It's been a rather cold day for me from the beginning as I've been struggling with the constant rains. Currently covered up trying to combat the cold. I actually started this article yesterday but couldn't complete it, thankfully I have today. **Thanks for reading!** **Mhizutty the voice of truth 🎵🎶🎵**
