Oh there are only a few hours that I have been able to be at home and still there is no Internet. It's really late and the service is not working.
I have been tired of calling, writing and going to the site and being told ***"your internet is working fine, check again"*** or ***"we are analyzing the problems"***, ***"there is no problem with your internet"***, but if there is, if there is a problem with my internet.
There is the yellow icon on my laptop that says I have no internet, my phone connected to the Wi-Fi also says no internet, the internet modem has two lights both should be green, but one is orange and keeps flashing, that means no internet, **so I have a problem**
What is the problem?
**The problem is that I have no internet**, even though I have paid for the service and I am up to date with all the payments, I have had to spend extra money to be able to pay for a little more internet on my phone to be able to work, that doesn't work for me... Instead of making more money I am losing it.
I would like to change my internet service but I can't, it is really expensive, I want to be able to change to fiber optic, but for that I have to look for several neighbors who also want that kind of internet and pray that they can put that internet in the area where I live now.
I don't really talk to my neighbors, none of them, I only know the person who has to be paid for the condo and I only know his name, the neighbors are never around and they are not very nice, so I have avoided having any kind of relationship with them, I get along better with the neighborhood cats.
I also pray that if they lay the fiber optic internet cable, the crooks don't steal it, so it's quite complex to be able to have an internet connection.

My brother and I didn't always get along. When I was a baby my brother loved me very much in fact, it is always commented in my house that ***"I was born thanks to my brother"***, since my brother always asked that he wanted a little sister, because he didn't have brothers and all his friends did.
So for a long time my brother asked my parents for a younger sister... Until I was born.
I have many pictures where you can see the love my brother had for me, he loved me for a long time, but as I grew up we had many differences and we really didn't get along at all, we always fought and I ended up crying because I am much smaller than him. So I always ended up sad.
I don't know why we got along so badly, or why that happened, I don't really remember anything, just that we didn't even talk to each other, we grew up very unattached, until one day we started to realize that we had the same tastes in common, we liked the same things, so... Why not be friends? And we started to get along hahaha.

Years later maybe 5 or 6 years later, my dad needed to get on the roof to fix some shingles, so I was helping him hold the ladder so he could climb up without any problems and he found my jaguar hahaha.

From musician to carpenter
After spending several days walking and walking to find a good wood for the things Luis wants to make, we finally found different types of good quality and economical wood, the first wood we worked with was pine, the others are all bound, I don't really know which woods they are hahaha.

We had to have a lot of strength, courage, patience and a lot of free time to achieve the results we wanted and it is not quite ready yet.
We started sanding the wood with our hands and after hours and hours, days and days of sanding by hand, a friend of my brother in law lent us an electric sanding machine to be able to sand faster and better, thank God, I was already acquiring the super strength of Superman hahaha.

After sanding all the woods that we were going to use we realized that the sizes of the woods did not match much, so they had to be chopped a little and sanded again to be in optimal conditions, without splinters and without any discomfort that could scratch the surface where the woods would be placed.
After sanding them well and knowing how the wood would go we began to seal them so that they would not be damaged, for every three coats of sealer we had to sand a lot by hand, we no longer had the machine, maybe we applied 3 or 4 coats of sealer and we still had to apply another coat of sealer, sand again to put the varnish, so that it would keep away unwanted animals.
Luis was researching a lot about wood and this type of work since he did not know anything about this world, before starting this new "job" he was watching a lot of videos, the video that helped him the most was the following one:

We were working very carefully because the hands of an artist, especially a musician are very, very delicate, this does not seem to be true, but it is, especially if it is a musician who plays a classical instrument, such as the classical guitar, his hands are quite delicate and you have to be very careful that his nails do not break or weaken, as these are used to play and achieve a good sound on the instrument.
My father-in-law and brother-in-law helped us a lot with sanding, painting, sealing and assembling the stands, we have not yet been able to varnish. Luis and his father were in charge of almost the whole process from now on, they made templates to know where they had to screw and looked for a place where that work would not bother the others since the dust from the wood bothers Luis' mother a little bit, it causes her allergy.
So we went to the back of the house and hid in a small alley so as not to disturb anyone hahaha.
There we were drilling, painting and doing many other things, it took us many days just sanding, then many other days sealing the wood because that kind of paint takes a long time to dry and it has to dry very well and as I said before after that we have to sand it again, then we have all the holes for the screws we put the stand together and we still need to varnish it to avoid damaging the wood or attracting unwanted animals, but for the moment Luis needs to use them like this without the varnish, because he has to finish soon a whole album for the singer he is working for, after he finishes the album we will continue giving the last touches to the stands and then we will move on to make a very, very important part of the room or the recording room of a musician, we have to make acoustic panels.
These panels serve to modify the frequencies in the room and prevent the sound from bouncing, each panel has a specification of what it is for, but they are very expensive and bringing them is a bit risky, so we have preferred to buy the wood to make the panels ourselves, but it is a more complex job, so we have not been able to start yet, we will wait for the album to be ready and for the singer to like it to be able to continue with the carpentry work.

Luis does a lot of research so he found that in order to hear the songs better he needed to have the reference monitors at the right distance and in the right place.
The reference monitors could not be on any of our tables, as one table is very small and the other is very long and has several tables at different heights and the monitors must be at the same height, so he decided to make his own stand to place the monitors.

We decided not to buy a base like the one in the picture because those bases are really expensive, we researched for many days in online stores and stores near where we live and all the prices were very high, so we preferred to buy wood to make the stand and other things that Luis will do later, everything came out much cheaper than just buying those bases.
The adventure
For many days we were touring places where they sell wood, so we could compare prices and buy the wood in the best place.
We were also looking at the wood that was not ready yet, so we also had to write down the price of sandpaper, wood sealer, varnish, etc, etc, everything to work the wood.
It was many days of research and walking, which meant that I was not active on read.cash, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this whole adventure, as we didn't go out with the phones.
At the end of all the walking we bought the cheapest wood we saw, sandpaper, screws, varnish, sealant and many other things, as everything was so heavy we had to call a cab driver friend to pick us up and take us to my in-laws house, as we would work the wood there, where we live we can not work with this kind of things.
The purchase of the wood was simple, since Luis already had the plans of everything he wanted to do, he had all the measurements and all the ideas, we only needed to know where to buy good wood.
There were many days of walking and searching, but we found what we wanted, which is the most important thing.

A big decision

To come back or not to come back?
I really want to return to be able to close the cycle, but there are more opposite or negative things than positive ones, really when I think so much about the problems I fill my brain with negative things and I really don't want to go back, but....
I have already taken the first step, I have crossed that line where I cannot go back, I can look back and confirm where I am, but I am afraid and insecure to continue moving forward.
As I said before I decided to go back to finish that cycle, conclude with that and keep moving forward, although I really don't want to do it, it won't benefit me at all, but I have decided to go back to the university, recently the university started working again, it had closed because of the pandemic, but now it will start working, some teachers will give online classes, other teachers will give classes at the university, I really prefer that all classes are online, but that is not for me to decide....
I have enrolled 6 subjects and I have written to the 5 professors (one professor gives two subjects), but only one professor has answered me, from the others I know absolutely nothing and we don't know which schedules or which days will be the classes, I hope it won't be so late or that some schedules will have problems with other schedules. The teacher who wrote said that his classes will be online, so it sounds good to me.
We should start on Monday 04 of this month, but knowing the university and the professors I know that will not be possible, so I will do anything else, but I will be preparing for the start of classes which I know will be after Monday 18, because from Sunday 10 to Saturday 16 is Easter and that week we do not work and much less will see classes ....
Why don't I want to go back?
Well, I am very discouraged about the university and the professors. There are many professors who are good in their subject, who teach and explain well, who really love to give classes, but there are other professors who are rude, disrespectful, who do not give good classes and do not teach anything, the worst thing is that these professors are the ones who make you fall behind in your studies and they are the ones who demand more things that they do not explain, so it is quite complex to advance...
I am really disappointed, I take very seriously the work of teachers and their teaching methods since I am studying Education, and there is nothing more annoying than preparing yourself as a professional and trying to give a class where you understand everything, explain well, be polite and all that, use everything they have taught me to improve as a person and as a teacher and that many of my teachers are not prepared or have a good teaching, so that bothers me.
It bothers me to strive to give a good class, to be a great teacher but that my teachers are not prepared to teach, that discourages me, that they have so many years of teaching, whether they have a degree or not and that they treat you badly for being a student.
**It's not right, it's not right to be mean to others, just because you are a "professional."**
Outside the University
I really do not want to attend because it is a big loss of money and time monthly, although they have not yet said what days classes will be given or the hours, but many times I struggled to be on time even though I lived far away and the teachers did not go, so I wasted my time and my money and now I do not want to lose money, I need to earn more money to be able to buy or pay for the things I need.
I am talking about that the monthly loss of money just to go to the university in the "economic" transportation would be bs 4,000 or bs 4 (since the 3 zeros were eliminated from the currency) daily to go to the university and back, both for Luis and me, without counting that we have to walk for an hour or so from the bus stop to the university, because it is really far from that stop. That would be bs4 for 5 days a week for 4 weeks is bs 80, that would be approximately $20 without including the increase in the fare or the increase in the price of the dollar, I am not including the part of meals if we want to eat out, which we won't, before we did if it was an emergency, but it is very expensive to eat in a food place.
Now, if instead of taking the economic transportation that is always full and takes a long time to arrive, we would have to take two buses, one that charges bs 1.5 and the other that charges bs 4, that would be bs 11 a day between Luis and me to go to the university. In total that's $50 a month, crazy....
So I am not very encouraged to spend between $10 to $50 a month just to go to the university and maybe the professor will not attend, it is really annoying, I already went through that, but I will try, I want to finish my career and Luis to finish his career, so we will do everything possible to continue, I just hope that the other professors also say that his class will be online, so I can save that money.
There is also the issue of insecurity, this semester we have not enrolled in any subject where we have to carry the guitar or the cuatro, because we do not know how the insecurity is, I just hope they do not ask us to play, because we do not want to carry our instruments for this time ....
We could go by motorcycle, that's right, we would spend less money for the ticket, but we would go back to the same thing of insecurity and that gasoline is expensive, $1 for 2 liters of gasoline, the good thing is that the motorcycle does not spend much gasoline, but the road to the university and the university itself, are very insecure places, so we would not go on the motorcycle, besides what we would save in transportation we would spend it in gasoline.

Broken Promises

I couldn't fulfill all my goals, so for April I won't post any, since I don't know what will happen, April brings many complex changes for my life that I will tell you about in another article, so I don't know if I will be fully active on the page.
My goals for March were:
First Goal
To reach **50 subscribers** and I reached that goal, then I changed it and said that the goal was going to be to reach **65 subscribers** but I did not achieve it, I have not been very active in the page, then I will tell you what I have been doing. They are things to improve my life, work and study.
Second Goal
To find **new sponsors**, I achieved this goal, thank you very much to all the sponsors that have been with me for a long time and to the new sponsors. This is one of the goals that I saw more complex but I was able to achieve it.
Third Goal
**To be able to pay the people I sponsor**, I had a problem with my laptop and from here I can't pay, before I used to use read.cash from Luis' computer which is more comfortable, but I can't use it anymore, he has a lot of work to do, so his computer is not free for me anymore. I could not make the payments from my laptop, but I could find another solution, I bought a VGA cable and I connect my laptop to the TV, there I can see the full screen for the payment, before I could not see it. So I was able to accomplish this goal
Fourth Goal
Due to internet and power failures and the fact that I have not been at home much, I could not meet my goal of reading **20 articles a day**, but many times I was able to read 60 articles, so I tried to meet this goal even if I read 3 or 4 articles a day.
Fifth Goal
My fifth goal was to reach **1BCH** and I achieved it, but I was not satisfied, because when I started in read.cash the BCH was over $600, so my goal to feel that I reached 1 BCH is to have earned more than $600 in read.cash, so I do not feel that I have fulfilled this goal, even though I fulfilled it.
Sixth Goal
I was unable to meet the sixth goal because of the same failures I had in the fourth goal. **I wrote daily**, yes, I have all the articles with the corresponding date but I could not upload them, my sixth goal is to write daily for read.cash I have achieved it, but I could not publish them.
Seventh Goal
**Invest in cryptocurrencies what I earn in read.cash**, this is a long term goal, a goal that I want to accomplish every month and I have been able to do it, no matter if my investment is 10, 20 or $30, little by little I will be able to invest more.
In summary of my goals for the month of March were:
**First Goal:** To have between 50- 65 subscribers (Complex Goal) I was able to accomplish it.
**Second Goal:** Find 1 or 2 sponsors (Complex Goal) I was able to accomplish it thanks to you.
**Third Goal:** Figure out how to pay for sponsorships and sponsor 3 people (Easy Goal) I was able to accomplish this goal by purchasing a VGA cable.
**Fourth Goal:** Read more than 20 articles a day (Easy Goal), although it was an easy goal I was not at home, so I accomplished it half way.
**Fifth Goal:** Reach 1 BCH in read.cash (Easy goal because I am close, if it goes up a lot it will be complex). I reached BCH, but I am not satisfied, now it has gone up again and it is far from my reach.
**Sixth Goal:** Write and publish every day (easy goal unless a problem happens) Many problems happened, I wrote every day, but I could not publish.
**Seventh Goal:** Earn approximately $70 - $80 monthly to be able to invest them in cryptocurrencies (Complex Goal) Goal that I have been able to do little by little even if I don't earn $70 monthly.

This event lasted two days, the first day my brother and I did cosplay, but for the second day we didn't do anything. My brother was **Hoshi** from the anime **Arakawa under the bridge** and I was the main character of **Nana**, which is called **Nana Osaki**, remember that these costumes were made with the clothes we already had, except my brother, for this one he dedicated a little more and had the star made that was placed on his head.
Third Event
The third event I went to with my brother was in 2013, long after the ***"Bankai Fest"***, the organizers of the Otakumana decided to make a second event that took the name of ***"Otakumana II".***
This event also lasted two days, the first day I asked my brother to lend me his **Hoshi** costume and with him I participated in a **costume event**, but I didn't win haha I don't remember which cosplay my brother did and he participated in the **spicy ramen eating** contest, he didn't win either. This was one of the best events ever, from the beginning, everything was very well organized, the food was on time, I really remember this event with a lot of affection, ah they also took a lot of pictures of me. The second day neither my brother nor I went in costume, we just went to share.
This event was very well organized, I think it was the best one.
Fourth Event
Last event, this event was in 2015, it was called ***"Toki Proyect"***, really this was the worst of all the events, it took us a long time to get in, there were long lines for the food, we couldn't eat at the place, we had to go to another place to eat, not all the contests were held because there were big failures in the schedules, it was a total mess, but ignoring the bad things I had a good time, I even danced hahaha we were in a game room where we had to dance.
This event also lasted two days, the first day we didn't go with costumes, the second day I went as Kagura from the anime Gintama, although I had painted my hair red the color didn't stay for long and even though I ironed my hair, because of the heat my hair started to fluff up haha

Drawing to forget the problems
Hello dear friends of read.cash how are you? I hope you are doing very well. As you may know I have had problems with electricity, internet and now my computer but **I am still staying positive**.

I have been surrounded by so many problems that I have needed to keep my brain distracted and calm, I need to calm down and keep thinking positive, that this will all work out, so I have been doing some drawing.
My computer screen is really small and doesn't show me the right colors, so it's been a bit complex to make the shadows or lights in my drawings, so I've just been making them so later when Luis has his pc free I can finish my drawings there. Luis has been very busy producing music for a student who is becoming a great singer, I hope soon you will hear a lot about her and that she gets success, for the moment while you don't have all the new album, I won't tell you who she is haha.
My new drawings
Oh, I've been seeing some drawings on Facebook where an artist uses an already known character like Bart Simpson, or Ariel from the little mermaid and changes their clothes, or turns them into villains, or Disney villains into protagonists, so that gave me an **idea**...
Of course the program she uses is very different from the one I use. That person, I think it's a girl, has an **ipad and uses Procreate**, a pretty advanced app but it looks really simple. I have is a laptop that the government gave me for my studies almost 10 years ago, it's not the most advanced and it limits me a lot of things, but it's what I have and the programs I use are **Illustrator and PhotoShop**, both are portable and free, so they limit me some things, like I can't export my drawings, so... How do I save them as an image? I just can't, I just take a screenshot, but that lowers the quality of what I've been working on, I hope soon to have something a little better...
I decided to use characters known by different audiences, so I used the main character from ***Star vs. the forces of evil*** and the main character from ***Fairy Tail***, both have very different drawings, but I decided to use those two to start with.

She like any other wizard in this series, has powers, but her powers are of **star spirit magic,** that is, she can summon other characters and some of these characters represent the signs of the zodiac and each one has a different power. To be able to use this power you need some **keys** are divided into silver that are common keys and gold that are only 12 keys these represent the signs of the zodiac.

Why did I decide to use these two characters?

Hiccups are an involuntary contraction in the body, exactly in the diaphragm, this muscle has an important role in breathing and when it contracts quickly it also closes suddenly our vocal cords and produces that weird "hip" sound.
Causes of Hiccups
Well, there are **many causes**, perhaps it occurs after eating a large meal, extremely hot or spicy food, by ingesting large amounts of alcoholic beverages or soda, it can also give hiccups after a sudden emotion, agitation, stress, sudden changes in temperature, it can also be a sign of an undiagnosed disease.
**Hiccup attacks usually last a few minutes**, but when this discomfort occurs we feel that the hiccup lasts many hours, are extremely rare occasions where the hiccups can last for hours or even months, there if there would be a big problem and causes a great exhaustion, **in these cases you should go to the doctor if the hiccups last more than 48 hours.**
If the attack of hiccups lasts more than 48 hours and is very intense it is due to other causes such as:
**An irritation or injury to the vagus or phrenic nerves of the diaphragm.**
Some causes that can cause damage or irritation in these nerves are: a discomfort in the eardrum; a tumor in the neck; gastroesophageal reflux; sore throat or laryngitis.

**Metabolic disorders and drugs**
As I had said before the large consumption of alcoholic beverages can cause a hiccup that lasts a short time, but the massive consumption of alcohol can cause this hiccup to last more than 48 hours causing other problems in our body, but not only the ingestion of alcohol, there are other drugs and metabolic disorders that can cause hiccups such as: diabetes, kidney disease, steroids, anesthesia, tranquilizers.
There is the possibility of a prolonged hiccup if you have any mental or emotional problem, since it is associated that hiccups are caused when there is stress, anxiety or a sudden change in our emotions, it could also happen that a person has hiccups after surgery, I do not know how true this is.
How to stop hiccupping?
Hiccups only last a few minutes, so they go away on their own, but when they last much longer than I mentioned, you should see a doctor.

This was said by a young man who at that time was 12 years old, he wanted to talk to Luis (my couple) and me. Luis was giving him electric guitar lessons and I was giving him musical language lessons. Both Luis and I were super shocked, that kid had about 2 or 3 months watching classes with us and he had integrated very well with the other students who had more time, he had also advanced really fast, so that worried us a lot.
After talking to him for a long time at the bakery near work we understood everything. His father had a lot of money and lived with another woman in another house, his mother lived apart in an apartment with many men, his sister lived in another house with her husband, **and he, a 12 year old boy, lived alone** in a huge house with his 11 year old girlfriend... He never saw his parents or his sister, it was very strange, the one who took him everywhere was his driver. He didn't have to make food, he just ordered a delivery or went somewhere to eat and that was it, but he lived all alone with that girl and more than 10 cats that came from the street to eat there.
We really understood everything, so we started to talk a little more with him and many times we went to his house to give him private lessons for free, even though his family had a lot of money.

In spite of his young age, he had a daughter with his girlfriend, this was when he was only 15 years old, but now they are a really happy family and I hope it stays that way in spite of the bad things that exist. He is still a great guy and a great person, I feel good that I was able to help him.

March Goals

As every month I try to make some goals, these goals can be complex to achieve or very simple, so I don't feel bad if I don't achieve a difficult goal because I make many easy ones, I think it is the best way to set goals.
First Goal
This goal I set for the end of February was to have **50 subscribers** before the end of March, since it has become really complex to have followers, so I set that goal, at that time I had 40 subscribers and **today I have 51** ... So just in the first week of March I met this goal, so I have modified it, I will try to reach **65 subscribers**, ie get 14 people to follow me. I really see it complex, but I will try.
Second Goal

Normally the light usually goes every 20 or 30 minutes, and comes back in 2 or 3 hours, it is very annoying, today I have been trying to wash, cook and work on read.cash, but I can't do it well if there is no light, tomorrow I have it programmed for other things, so I have to finish washing today and it is already 11 o'clock at night.... Yesterday, on Luis' birthday, everything went very well. We walked around for a while and then went to his mother's house, there the power didn't go out. Hello my good friend from read.cash I hope you are having a great day. Today is a very special day for me, it's my couple Luis' birthday, so it's a day full of joy. We all love love stories, especially if they have a happy ending, but over there I have read that if it is a happy story it has no ending, so I will tell you a little about these happy stories that have no ending.
A few days ago I read an article of a person who talked about the love story of his parents, who does not know how it happened because his father and mother lived in different places, the sad thing is that I have lost that story, I do not remember who published it, but I wanted to tell you that my parents also met like that.
My parents' love story
My mother was born in a small town in Sucre, a town that I always thought was magical, this town is Araya, I have talked a lot about this town in my read.cash articles.
My father was born in what used to be a town and now has become a city in Anzoátegui, this city is Puerto la Cruz, I have also talked about Puerto la Cruz in my articles, I am currently living there.
**So... How did a woman from Araya meet a man from Puerto la Cruz?**
By things of life or destiny perhaps my father went to study at the University of Jusepín, in Monagas and coincidentally my mother did too... That's where they met and started dating. **I really found their story romantic and crazy.**
Until something similar happened to me, yes, the story I want to tell you is not my parents' story, it is mine, so I will skip some details, my father can talk about his love story in his blog this is my blog and I want to talk about my love story hahaha.
Before I start my story, my parents lived a long time in Monagas, and had my brother in Maturin, then they moved to Anzoategui and finally to Sucre, exactly to Cumana, where they still live, I was born there, so each person in the house was born in a different place:

My little love story
About 8 years ago I came to live in Barcelona with my father's sister. I started to study Civil Engineering and continue in the Orchestra, but the Orchestra was in Puerto la Cruz and I was leaving very late and I took the last buses that left from the Port to Barcelona, so I was really tired.
One day when I was on the bus 3 boys got on talking about music and one of them made a mistake, as they were very close to me and I was interested in the story I interrupted them and corrected the one who had made a mistake, there was born a friendship between the two of us, we talked during the whole trip which was about 1 hour because of the queues, the other two boys started to talk to each other.
I became good friends with this guy and then I would see him by chance in various places, so we kept talking about music, but I would only see him when I was leaving the orchestra. It wasn't long before I had to leave the orchestra because it clashed with the night schedule at the university, but the last few times I went to the orchestra I would meet one of the friends of the musician friend I met on the bus, but we never got to talk. We met several times and I thought he was kind of attractive, but I never spoke to him, I didn't know him.
I left the orchestra and continued my Civil Engineering classes. Then my aunt was leaving the country, so I had to look for a new place to live and I needed money, so I started looking for a job, but not one that clashed with the university.
I talked to a friend from college who was looking for a job and he said.
"My girlfriend just quit her job because it clashed with the university, she is teaching music classes, they are looking for teachers Do you know how to teach?"
And I said yes, even though I had never taught music in my life, I took a chance. I made my resume, I asked my father for help, I had never made a resume before, I printed it and the next day I went to the place.
They hired me right away, I was really happy. The job was in the afternoons and evenings but we made our own schedules, they were very flexible, but we had to go 1 day in the morning to receive preparation on how to give lessons and they taught us teachers how to play the piano and how to accompany the lessons with the piano. It was really fun.
The first day I arrived in the morning I was introduced to my classmates and there he was. The friend of the boy I met on the bus, but I was too embarrassed to talk to him, plus since it was my first days I was very nervous, but all the teachers were very nice, so I made friends with all of them that same day.
All the teachers had cars, except that boy and I, and since we left at the same time and went to the same bus stop, we decided to go together, only he took a bus to Puerto la Cruz and I to Barcelona, so we said goodbye at the bus stop.
That's how our friendship grew and one day he told me with a lot of sorrow
"Are you that blue-haired girl who met Adam on a bus?"
And I said
"Yes, that was me."
He had recognized me and I had recognized him, it had been fun, at that time my hair no longer had blue dye.
As time went by we became close friends, but we only walked each other to the bus stop. Then a friend of mine gave me a 2 for 1 ticket to the movies, she had a lot of them and soon they were going to expire, but she couldn't go to the movies, so....
**I invited my co-worker, what could happen?**
He thought it was weird that a girl would ask him out, but he accepted anyway. We went out for the weekend, we walked, we ate, we went to the movies and after the movie he told me that he liked me since that time he saw me on the bus, but since I had talked to Adams and not to him, he was ashamed to talk to me....
**I couldn't believe it, the guy I liked was in love with me....**
Since that day Luis and I have been together for many years, through thick and thin and I hope it stays that way. **I wanted to tell this story because today is his birthday**

Taking advantage of the fact that today is the last day of carnival I want to tell you a story, which you may think is a little crazy. As a child my parents didn't like to dress me up, especially my mother, she didn't see the point, so they never dressed me up, except that day I won as carnival queen, but having an older brother, I followed all his steps hahaha.
My brother
My brother and I are between 8-9 years old, currently I am 24 and he is 32, he will be 33 in April. We've been getting along for a few years now and I've been very happy with his friendship, before that it was just fights because I wanted to be like him and he didn't, but that's the way it's been. We both like rock, comics, series, music, drawing, etc, etc, etc. So whatever he did I tried to imitate it.
Anime
As we grew up we had similar tastes in TV, so if he put something on I liked it and if I put something on he liked it, so we got along very well, to the point that he would download videos, movies and series just to watch them with me and I would download music and pass them on to him.
There was an event in my country, or rather in my city, that as comic, anime and manga lovers, we couldn't miss. So as we could we raised money and bought tickets for the first anime event that was going to be held in our city, so we were really happy.
In those events there are food contests, cosplay contests, game contests, and so on.
You may be wondering what is cosplay?
Well, to put it simply, it's a costume of an anime character. We could go to these events dressed like this, but we didn't have much money to buy or make our own costumes, so we always improvised with the clothes we had, we started calling it **"cosplays fail"** The name cosplay comes from the expression ***"costume play"***, it is considered a subculture where people in costume seek to represent an idea or embody some character through a costume and role-playing.
**I remember the exact words my mother told us the day of the event.**
"Never in my life did I ever dress you up because it seemed silly to me and now when you grow up you dress up by yourselves, I can't believe it, I never taught you that, but I hope you do well and have fun" then she told us "Are you sure that other people will go dressed like that?"
And so it was, we went with our first ***"cosplays fails"*** and yet people recognized who we were dressed up as. There were many costumes of all kinds, some very elaborate costumes, others like ours haha, we really enjoyed that day.
**I remembered this because today when I called my mother and she jokingly told me**
"What are you going to dress up as today on the last day of carnival?"
**And I told her**
"It will be from read.cash hahaha I don't have any costume for today, I've been all day at read.cash"

Many years ago, when I lived with my parents, I was a little girl and a big eater, I wanted something. I remember this story very well from my point of view, my parents have their own version, but I don't want to talk about that one, it's my story and my point of view.
I remember we were in my parents' room watching a movie, that's where the TV was. We were all in bed, my mother, my father, my older brother and me. My grandmother was not there, she had gone for a walk near the house.
While we were watching the movie I got hungry, but not just any hunger, not that hunger of eating rice, pasta or bread, my hunger was peculiar, I wanted to eat some popcorn, I think I had become very fastidious, my parents answered me again and again the same thing
**"In a while we will make the cotufas".**
**"Wait for the commercial to come on"**
**"Wait for the movie to finish"**
**"Wait, wait"**
**"Don't ask for more cotufas, wait a while, it's coming".**
But I didn't want to wait, I wanted them right then, not later, not when the movie was over, not in the commercial, I wanted them right then.
So I played brave and went to the kitchen, my grandmother never let me cook so I didn't know how to do much, but....
What could happen?
I wanted cotufas and I had seen many times how my parents made them, so I wanted to try it too. I grabbed the package of cotufas, opened the microwave, put the package in the microwave, closed the door and pressed the numbers. So my cotufas would be done.
I stood in front of the microwave watching it while I waited for the sound of the microwave telling me it was ready, but something went wrong....
I waited for a long time, luckily the doors and windows of the house were open.
I saw my grandmother running in and screaming not knowing what was going on. She was screaming that the house was on fire, hearing this, my parents ran out of the room to the kitchen. When they got to the kitchen they saw me in front of the microwave waiting for the cotufas that were never going to come out, the microwave was smoking. I damaged or rather made the microwave explode, luckily there was no danger, no fire, just a damaged microwave and a scolded girl.
After that they never bought a microwave again or let me in the kitchen. Except when I did another prank, but that's another story....
When my parents told me the story from their point of view, it turned out that I had put the cotufas in the microwave with everything and the plastic packaging, turned them upside down and put them in the microwave for about 2 hours or maybe more.

Story before the moment of shame
As you know if you read my articles I am a music teacher and I used to work in an academy. At first I was teaching music language and electric bass, then I started teaching piano lessons. So well, as musicians we participate in different events or we create events for the parents to see all the progress of the child.
We do a concert where the children play, enjoy themselves, take pictures, etc, etc. All this takes a lot of preparation, from choosing the themes according to the celebration (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Children's Day, Teacher's Day, Musician's Day, Christmas, etc, etc, etc). After choosing very well the themes, the tonality, the musicians, the singers and all that, we also choose themes to be interpreted by the teachers and themes for some teachers to accompany the students, so far so good.
How long does this preparation take?
Between choosing songs, making arrangements, doing the sheet music, knowing what equipment is needed for the concert, fixing the instruments if they have a fault or changing the strings on the guitar, replacing or fixing cables that make noise, knowing if we will use a stage, where the event will be held, will there be lights, will they lend us the sound or do we have to provide it? We have to study very well which children are going to participate, then teach them the songs, see normal classes, rehearsal days with the children, rehearsal days with the teachers, between all that we can spend a whole month to organize the concert well, but something always happens. .. It is inevitable, but it usually happens with the representatives, who do not want to take their children to the academy, to the classes or to the rehearsals but they want them to participate in the concert, **it is crazy, isn't it?**
What happened to me?
I really don't know, I just hope not too many people noticed. At that time I was no longer teaching electric bass, all the students had left the country, so there were no electric bass students, but all the songs need that instrument, so I had to learn about 20 songs by heart on the electric bass, apart from teaching these same songs to my piano students and collaborating with guitar, singing and cuatro in case a student didn't know the song well, so I had to know what all the instruments would do.
We were in November, so the songs we were practicing were for Christmas, what a difficult time, the music is a bit complex... Because I was so saturated, the boss decided that some teachers who knew how to play the bass would help me with the songs, that is, that they would also play the bass in different songs and not only I. There were only three other teachers who knew how to play the bass. There were only three more teachers who knew how to play the bass among those were my couple, a drum teacher and a guitar teacher, perfect, now instead of playing 20 songs I only had to play 5, but the songs of the teachers were missing which were 4 songs, in which I would play the bass because I was the former teacher of this instrument. **In total I played 9 songs...**
Day of the event
The day progressed really well, we arrived at 1pm to set up the stage, the sound, the lights, arrange the chairs, test the sound, wait for the children, arrange where they should sit, where their parents would be, and all that, so that the event would be at 6pm.
The children were called at 4:30pm to give everyone a chance to arrive.

The event started well, my couple, another teacher and I are always the ones in charge of accommodating all the kids and knowing what song is coming, who is going to play, organizing and helping the kids to get on the stage, all the logistics are done by us, the other teachers don't collaborate. So that's fine, we've been doing that for years. My mind is in many places because I have to be aware of the kids when I'm not playing, but if I'm playing a song I still have to be aware of all the kids, the ones that are playing, the ones that are coming, the ones that are running around. So in one of those moments my head exploded....
What a shame!
I don't really know what happened, I was playing normally, when suddenly my mind went blank and I froze, I heard the sound technician behind me say:
***"I can't hear the electric bass, I can't hear the electric bass! Is the instrument damaged? Is the cable damaged? Is the amplifier damaged? What's going on?"*** he said in desperation.
**There was only one thing going through my mind....**
***"What am I doing? What chord is coming? What are we playing? Does the audience realize I can't move?"***
Until my brain responded, my hands started to move and I remembered what song it was and where I was going, it was really about 15 or 20 seconds that I stopped playing but I felt like it had been an eternity, I felt like I was going to die.
When I got off the stage and went to help the kids, I didn't have a song to play but within 2 more songs, my couple took advantage of the time we were together and said to me:
***"What happened to you, why did you stop playing?"***
**I said.**
***"I don't know, I guess my brain thought it was the best time to stop working."***
The other songs went well, I didn't make a mistake, I didn't get lost and my brain didn't go blank again. I was very sad, I just hope they didn't notice it so much hahaha that the parents were only looking out for their kids and not me.

The threat of carnival

The threat to the carnival...
I don't understand what's going on, the weather has gone a little crazy, maybe it's a product of climate change, I don't know. These days are supposed to be days of drought, not rain. I understand that in many countries there is winter, summer, autumn and spring, but in my country that does not happen, we only have rainy season and seasons where it does not rain.
We are currently in a dry season, it could rain, of course it could, but it is not very normal. Since Thursday the sky has been full of very gray clouds, yesterday it rained but very little. The sky was totally gray, there was no sun, the clouds threatened rain, the breeze was really strong, you could not walk well, the breeze pushed you, at night it rained a little, but what we had more was lightning and thunder.
The threat of a big storm started today...
From dawn until now (it's 6 pm) **the weather has been totally gray**, threatening heavy rain, lots of breeze that shakes the windows and lots of thunder.... Oh, oh, I don't want it to keep raining so hard, the power might go out and that means **I'll be alone and in the dark in the house,** I really don't like this, even less if there's a lot of thunder still outside. At the time I am writing this there is no internet, the rain has cut off all communication, making it difficult to send messages, call or write on read.cash.
I am also very worried about Luis, my couple. He left early with his brother because they have to play today at the carnival parade, but with the rain, I don't know what happened... There is not a very good signal, so I can't communicate with Luis. They were supposed to play around 4 or 5pm, but they left at noon to meet and rehearse with the other musicians.
I'm not really worried about them canceling the carnival because of the rain, I don't think so, I'm worried about Luis, my brother-in-law and the musical instruments, which can't get wet and they were not assigned transportation, meaning they have to go by public bus and they have to play pretty far away. So it's really dangerous to go by bus with instruments on top of them and it's raining
What has happened at the moment
Right now the rain has stopped a little bit, and I think I hear some comparsas in the distance, or maybe it's my mind making me believe that, I don't know... Has the carnival been ruined by the rain? I don't know... I saw that in several places where I live the comparsas would start at 5pm, but the rain didn't let that happen.
Despite everything that is going on I would have liked to see the parades and costumes even from afar. I just hope everyone is ok and that the concert goes great and ends early, because if they don't have transportation to come it will be really risky to take the public bus back.
Right now the sky is still covered with **big black clouds,** saying that it may keep raining later, I don't like those threats.
**Why is rain a threat?**
Well even though many of us like the rain, when it comes to an event it's a bit of bad luck that it rains, because it can make the effort that someone has gone through come to nothing, they can cancel the event and it's really sad. As a musician and artist I feel really bad if I have spent a lot of time preparing for an event and then they cancel it because of heavy rains, it's like the time I had invested didn't mean much, that's why it's a bit of bad luck, or we could also be in the middle of the event and get caught in the rain.
Finishing this article Luis has called me, he told me that he is fine and that he was at the house of a friend of the group, waiting for the rain to pass, but he doesn't know if they will play or not, he also told me that they will talk about the transportation since it was risky to leave like this.
**It is 1am,** the internet has just arrived, I had not been able to publish the article before because of this, a few hours ago Luis called me and told me that he was going to play at 11pm, they put his group last, all the events were moved because of the rains, I just hope that tomorrow this does not happen**. Luis just arrived, he had a lot of problems at the concert, but he is fine.**

What is calypso?
It is a musical genre that is usually played in the carnival, accompanying the comparsas, this genre is quite cheerful, colorful and danceable. The origin of this rhythm is **Afro-Caribbean,** originally from **Trinidad and Tobago**, but over the years, in Venezuela they began to adapt this rhythm and began to use instruments such as the cuatro, the bell, the drum called bumbac, the guitar, the electric bass, the charrasca and different voices. One of the most important things about calypso is the lyrics, since its songs tell different stories, which can be a fact of daily life or mischievous stories.
Calypso as it is known today began **more than 100 years** ago in the areas of El Callao, at this time it was accompanied with palms, then instruments made of bamboo, these instruments were used to accompany the songs that were made in the different farms. As time went by, steel drums began to be used, these drums were used because of the need to create a percussive instrument.
In Venezuela, calypso began to be played in **El Callao**, then advanced throughout the state of **Bolivar**, until it spread to the eastern part of the state of **Sucre, Nueva Esparta, Monagas and Anzoátegui.** Nowadays calypso is traditionally sung in English, but it has been adapted to be sung in Spanish or in both languages.
One of the main characteristics of calypso, apart from the music and the dance, is its theater that includes the madamas, the mediopintos and the dancing devils.

Origin
The origin of calypso goes back to the 19th century, where there were large migrations to Venezuela, where African slaves worked in the sugar cane plantations of the island of Trinidad and Tobago, and other Caribbean Islands. These slaves were brought to Venezuela to work in the gold mines located in El Callao, Bolivar State, creating a mixture of different cultures, which brought with them their music and traditions. The mixture of these different Caribbean genres known today as Calypso became popular in El Callao, then spread throughout the state of Bolivar and finally became a fundamental part of Venezuela's festivities.

Dances and Theater
Like any other Venezuelan festivity, there are different characters that are the protagonists of these celebrations. These characters are full of joy and colors. In the case of El Callao, the protagonists tell the story of the transculturation that was going on at that time. Among the characters are:
**The madams:** they are the most representative women of the festivity, they tell the story of the ladies who were brought to work as teachers, teaching English, French, they transmitted the costumes and customs. These characters are dressed with very colorful clothes, colorful scarves that are knotted on their heads, colorful turbans on their skirts and on their waists they wear ribbons on the sides that gather their skirts, if they are married they wear one ribbon, if they are single they wear two ribbons.

**The medio-pinto or negro pinto:** they are characters that are totally painted in black, this paint is prepared with a base of ground charcoal, papelón and water. Since my niece doesn't have many friends in the new place where she lives, she has decided to play carnival with us, but she didn't know how to tie the balloons, so my couple and I helped her. Many people on read.cash use a personal photo, a photo of their family, a photo of their pet or an image they have downloaded from the Internet that they like. This topic was started talking by my friend @Unity and it is the truth, it is normal, also in our social networks like *Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram or Twitter*, we use a photo that identifies us or a photo that we like, maybe this image has to do with us or not.
I remember that for me one of the main social networks I used was *Messenger* and there you could put a picture of yourself, a downloaded picture or a default picture from Messenger, since there they also gave you different options of images to put like a horse, a duck, a landscape, a cat, etc. I remember that I would put butterflies or pictures of me and my father would put one of the default images that came with the application, I remember that he would put the image of two horses. The same thing happens with Hotmail or Gmail, we use a picture that identifies us or simply a picture that we like.
This type of image represents us, even if we don't want it to, **but this is the visual way for other users to identify us.**
Maybe my father likes horses and that's why he left that image, maybe he didn't want to put a real picture of him. But maybe we don't really want to say who we are and we put any image, whether we like it or not.
It is common to put images that we like or just not pay much attention to the image we use, but as my friend Unity says, **a profile picture for a blogger is important**, since it allows others, ie readers, to identify who we are. Let's imagine we are reading a book, in many books there is a picture of the author on the left side of the first page with his biography and some books, or on the last page, this allows us to get an idea of what the author is like, but of course this does not happen in every book, but with the help of the Internet, we can look for an image of the author and we can see if he is male, female, blond, dark, etc. and we begin to have a visual image of the writer.
I remember that before my friend Unity I identified him by the image of his previous profile, now that he has changed his profile, I can't distinguish his image, now I distinguish him by his user name. The profile picture of my sponsors are their pictures, the same as their sponsor image, except in my sponsor Gertu, but this image I identify it very well, this image are some pink flowers and has his user name, unlike my father's profile picture that still has the default image of read.cash, so I can't distinguish him by his image, but by his user name.
**I repeat once again, the profile picture for a blogger is important** because it is the visual way to identify the writer. As humans, the visuals or images have always been a bit more important than the name or the writings.
What do I mean by this?
In my case, I distinguish actors a lot and I know in which movies they have acted, but I don't know the name of the actor, I only know who he is because I have seen him several times, the same happens with the creators of a movie, maybe we don't know who he is, but if we have seen many of his movies and we have seen many times his name, we can identify which movies he has made. Maybe we like an artist and we know their stage name, but we don't remember the name of their songs.
Where does this visual ability come from?
We have developed this visual ability over the years. Our ancestors used visual identification a lot, detailing all the people in their tribe to know who is friend and who is foe based on their features.
Over the years we continue to use this visual ability to distinguish other people and remember their features, to know if a person's features are from our country or from another country. As a Latin American, for us the most characteristic features to distinguish are from Asian people and it is normal, they are the people we see more different from us and maybe we can not distinguish between two Asian people or maybe yes, but among them if they can distinguish perfectly because they have lived with these characteristics in their environment and can distinguish. Perhaps for them it is difficult to distinguish a Russian from a Spaniard, because they consider that the features of these people are similar, since their visual environment is different and they are used to distinguish people similar to them, the same happens with us.
With this I mean that the visual part, the features of someone we are meeting are very important for us to distinguish how the other person is, with respect to the profile pictures, with them we can identify or know a little of how the person is, of course, there are also many people who put happy photos with their couple and maybe they are not happy, so we can not know everything about the person, maybe with the photo what we think we know is wrong, but when it comes to a blogger should be something, I think, that identifies them as best as possible.
As I said before, I recognize my sponsors because they come out with a photo that I have already identified very well and not with the default photo of read.cash, Rebeysa comes out with a photo of her both in the sponsorship image and in her profile picture, Gertu has a photo of her in her profile and one of pink flowers with her user in her sponsorship, Coquicoin has a photo of her I think in a cafe.

I have also seen a person whose user I don't remember, but I know he has a picture of a white cat with glasses, so everywhere I see his sponsorship I know who he is, but I don't know his user, so the picture of a blogger is as important as his user name and his biography describes a little bit about what he likes, so with that you can know what he writes about and if you will like his writings or not.
History of my photo
My profile picture is a real picture of me. At that time I was starting with illustration, but I was also looking for students, the pandemic had already started, so the list of students was decreasing, the work in the academy collapsed completely, the kids didn't want to see virtual classes because they were already used to see face to face classes, so they didn't feel comfortable, and I understand them, I didn't feel comfortable to give classes over the phone either.
So little by little the students started to decrease, they started to leave the academy because they were not going to pay for online classes, and the private students stopped paying us for the same reason, they didn't want online classes, but it was too risky to give them face-to-face classes, so we ran out of students...
My profile picture was created for publicity, in order to get more private students who wanted to see online classes. First I took some pictures of Luis to create the publicity for the online classical guitar lessons. Then Luis took some pictures of me.
Of all the pictures Luis took of me, I liked this one even though it shows a lot of light, but I decided to draw myself as a practice of what I was learning in illustration, I was just starting, it was one of my first drawings, so I liked it a lot and I decided to use it for publicity and make myself known, even though it's me, it doesn't really show who I am and I liked that.
At that time I had just had my hair cut and it had turned into an afro, which I like. Yes, I cut my hair by myself, but it doesn't always look like an afro, so it was one of the few times that it looked like that.
So... Why do I use a drawing instead of the original photo?
Well, as I said before, the picture has too much light and I feel it doesn't show up well. I love the way my hair looks in that image, but the same thing, it has a lot of light, so I decided to make it as a drawing and it turned out well, I liked it.
