Love over Lust
Love, laughter, and happily ever after; a usual representation of people when they talk about marriage. When they think of marriage, the very first thing that came into their minds is the idea of having a relationship that would last for a long time. People would somehow think that when you had reached that stage, a new chapter of life as married couple is about to begin. Nonetheless without others knowing, what marriage really is?
***Marriage is a commitment of two individuals to one another and to each other’s family, affixed by holy matrimony.*** When both of them plans to settle things up, they think of raising a family together, dedicating their life to each other. ***Marriage is not something to be planned in just a short span of time,*** it is a serious thing that should be decided seriously and so along with prayers.
However, due to the inconsistency brought to us by the civilization: a new era that we are currently living, there are a lot of changes happened which create a huge impact on human’s way of thinking. One of the highly contentious issue in society is the ***“premarital sex”***.
Premarital sex is something that most of the people around the globe knows about. Sarcastically saying, there are some people who proudly proclaims that they already involve in while others do it secretly. Additionally, there are also people who engage such but appealed to be ignorant or unaware. People viewed differently about this issue, some would say it is now acceptable while for some it is a sin.
Probable Reasons 🤔
Apparently, people have various reasons in engaging premarital sex .
Some people/couple might just have a problem financially; they cannot afford to have their nuptial so that is why they just set aside it and indulge to sexual intercourse.
Some could just be doing it to boast in order to build up an image in front of their friends.
The influence of media could somehow be an avenue for all the people to be in touched in premarital sex. Most of the target are the teenagers for they are more exposed to sex from television, movies, magazines, and the most triggering factor: the internet. They learn these things yet they do not know how to manage.

As a youth of today’s generation, it is just so upsetting to know that cases of premarital sex is very rampant in my country; the Philippines despite the reality that our country is said/known to be a Christian country.
Christianity and Islam are dominant religions in my country. Both put value on sex as part of a married life thus, Filipinos are conservative in nature and they put value on morality. ***However, it is a huge slap for us (Filipinos) that we have not given justice all of these assumptions.***
We cannot deny the fact that ***premarital sex is an alarming issue***. It has grown so fast and it is kind of shocking that ***people involved in it are mostly juvenile*** and possess little knowledge of the risks they may face. It's undeniable that everyone has various say about this matter but such reasons may be as shallow as pleasure.
We just have to put in our minds that we must not let ourselves be indulged into something that might lead us to deviance. We should be wise enough to think that ***everything has a corresponding consequences*** which means that what you have done would have a boomerang effect to you.
And since people have varied views toward sex, people should be careful also of their reactions because after all, one can only criticize the phenomena of high prevalence of premarital sex but he or she can never condemn a person because of his/her different perceptions about this matter.

A kind of weird dinner

A pleasant day to my awesome, beautiful, and handsome readers on this platform!
Yesterday was Friday which means, it's the end of the weekdays. A wave of relief always come upon me whenever it's Friday. Perhaps because I get to free myself from all the things that keep me feel anxious like my academic tasks. I always see to it that I accomplish all of my school works for the reason that I desire to begin my weekend without any stuff to mind about. Anyway, for this blog entry, I want to share my unusual food for dinner last night.
Friday
I woke up at around 6:53 in the morning for the reason thay I had to attend the Pre-Service Teachers' Congress 2021 (PSTC2021) virtually via facebook live video at 8:00 am. Of course, I had to prepare for our breakfast, took a bath, and do other stuff to be done before I attend on the said event. Actually, the event ends at 5:00 pm however, I decided to leave at 3pm because I couldn't afford to finish it so late. To tell you frankly, I was kind of bored and uninterested to listen to the talks of the speakers. Be that as it may, it doesn't mean they are inefficient speakers. Maybe because i find their topics boring. I am so sorry if i felt that way maam and sir.
On the contrary, going back to the main subject of this blog entry, I could say that we had an unusual dinner last night. Instead of eating rice and a viand, my brother craved for burger and siomai. With that said, we had to go out to buy these foods. So, we had to walk for 10 minutes to be at the burger station. If you are from the Philippines, I am sure you are familiar of this burger station--"***Minute Burger***."
I believe the *Minute Burger* is one of the most popular burger station in the Philippines. Likewise, I believe that every city has this burger station. The good thing about this burger station is the fact that they offer their product by means of "Buy one take 1."
Since my brother is craving for this particular food, he bought 3 classifications of burger; the black pepper, double minute burger, and the regular minute burger. All in all, we have 6 burgers. In addition, he did buy steamed siomai. The siomai is sold 5 pieces for Php 20 ($0.97) And so, he bought 10 pieces of siomai so that's Php 40 ($1.94).
After we bought everything, we head straight home. We ate all of it in one sitting. Actually, as much as possible we dont eat too much in the evening, especially if it's passed 6. HAHAHAH. On one hand, even though I desire to drink a coffee but Im afraid that I might not be able to sleep well.

I just want to flex my Kuya (brother) here. He is the most amazing, kind, generous, and the best brother I could ever have. I admire how he puts us (his family) first before himself. I just thank the Almighty for blessing me a brother.

To be honest, Im not in the mood to write today. Thus, I dont have any interesting topics to write about in my mind. However, this does not mean that I am being unproductive.
Actually, what I did today was read both the old and new articles that you fellows have published here. I'm indeed a sluggish reader. As I already said before, I am not accustomed to reading. So, if i havent been able to read your blog entries yet, please bear with me. Dont worry because I already saved your articles in my "saved articles." menu. Good thing I discover it recently.
Despite the fact that I don't want to write a blog articletoday, I can't stop myself because my mind is restless.In fact, my mind keeps pushing me to write right now andnot waste time scrolling through your phone watching other people's ***mydays*** on Facebook.
Anyway, for today, I'm going to use this blog entry as my personal journal.
One of the things that worries me as a graduating student is our technological research project. It's similar to a thesis, but on a more technical level. Our school obliged us to design and develop a technology despite the status quo our world is constantly experiencing. In order for our invention to be put into realization, we will need to invest a significant sum of money. Even though the first semester will end in December, we haven't yet to develop the technology.
In addition, our project's design must be computer-aided design (CAD). I have sent the design to my friend's pal in a long time. Actually, her friend is a CAD expert. However, what concerns me is the fact that he has not yet to finalize the CAD design of our project. We have barely two months to develop our technology and other things related to our thesis.
I cant help but feel anxious provided that thesis is not the only subject we have for this semester. We also have Field Study 1 and 2 where we are required to observe classes while also participating in teaching assistantship. For sure, we will be bombarded with a lot of tasks during finals week.

Sometimes, I feel like giving up. I'm starting to lose the passion I once had. Is it because of this online education setup? Or is it just me who changed? As a future educator, I am terrified. What if I couldn't give my learners the best learning experience possible? What a shame for me if that happens. Although im feeding myself with negativity, I always find a way to get my senses back. I don't want to torment myself.

Whether we admit it or not, we all have a favorite color. Sometimes, it is evident through the things we have. For instance, our clothes, bags, accessories, and etc. Well, to tell you what my favorite color is, I love color blue.
Since I was a little kid, whenever we have drawing sessions, I always like to draw and color the oceans and skies. Maybe, because of that, I have started to like color blue as I was always exposed to it. Besides, everytime my parents tell me what color of clothes I want, I always say to them, "I want it to be color blue." It's like I am so addicted to this color. HAHAHAH
Anyway, the main reason (a no brainer reason) why I create this topic for my blog entry today, it is for the reason that a while ago, as I was doing the laundry, I observed that all of the things that I looked at is color blue. The towel is blue, the basin and pail is blue, and the walls are painted with the color blue. I could see the dominance of blue in my surroundings.
In this blog entry, you will discover of what blue signifies. Likewise, I will give my own insights about it. And so, enough with this intro and let's get straight into the topic.

*Peace*
As somebody who loves this color, I always wanted to have deep sense of tranquility. As much as possible, I dont want myself to be in a situation where my peace is at stake or compromised. I guess you can all agree with me that we always want to aim a peaceful heart, mind, life, and family. This world would be a better place if we all have the same goal and that is to attain peace.
*Professionalism*
As a future teacher, it is a must for me to possess professionalism. I have to become a responsible teacher and be a good example to my future students. Teaching is not an easy profession as it requires you to use your knowledge and skills to inflict learning to your students. You have to be someone who can give impact to their lives. In contrary, confidence and dedication are some of the major professional qualities that I must have.
*Loyalty*
I can say that I'm a loyal person not because color blue represents loyalty but I know to myself that I am one the many people who possess this quality. Being loyal doesn't only focused on intimate relationship but it also applies to other aspects like relationship to your family and friends. Being able to be with them through thick and thin is only a manifestation that you possess loyalty. Aside from that, part of being a loyal person is you must value the significance of honesty.
*Reliability*
I mean when I say to my friends that they can count on me. If they need me, I'm just here for them. When they want someone to console them, I will always present for them. I really aspire to be somebody who can be trusted. Certainly, friendship entails respect and trust.

To my fellow readers on this platform, I wish you a pleasant evening!
Guys, how was your day? Have you had a productive day today? Well, if you ask me, I think I had a productive day today because I was able to publish two blog entries.
Anyway,I'd like to share with you the responsesof my friends to the question,"What does being beautiful mean to you?" After seeing the soap opera "***Lavida Lena,***" I was able to come up with this idea in my head. Just to give you a quick rundown, it's a Philippine television drama vengaeance series aired on Kapamilya Channel.
Madgalena also known as "***Magda***," was born with a huge scar on her face. Although she had a good heart however, she is being discriminated because of her physical appearance, telling her she is a "shrimp;" (a form of discrimination) when you eat a shrimp you only eat the body and just discard the head. Likewise she is being discriminated because her scar on her face looks like candle tears.

According to their responses, the majority of them believe that being beautiful entails having an authentic heart and I agree to them because having an attractive face is useless if you have a cruel heart; a heart that's full of hate and jealousy. I do believe that in order for you to become holistically beautiful, it is essential that you are beautiful inside and out. Believe me when I tell you that each of us is attractive in our own way. What we lack is the self-assurance and belief that we are beautiful. Don't ever think you're ugly since the only thingthat's ugly are the social constructs of society.
On one hand, for me, being beautiful means being able to empathize others. You will see the beauty of that person if he/she knows how to put themselves in other people's shoes.

Due to the sheer blackout, I was unable to publish a blog entry last night. I was irritated since the blackout lasted about three hours and, to make matters worse, my phone was dead at the time. Apart from that, I'm at a loss for ideas to write about, possibly due to the circumstance. My mind is also experiencing a blackout. HAHAHAH. Fortunately, my brother was able to charge his phone sufficiently enough so we could use the flashlight to read a magazine while listening to my brother's Spotify playlist.
Anyways, let’s get straight into the topic!
Memories play an integral part of a person's life. Memories somehow drive us individuals to move forward in life; seeking new experiences and live with it. All the moments we have today are tomorrow's memories. Without a doubt, a life without memories to keep is like closing a particular app on our phone and instantly opening it again—futile. It seems that life is behind you instead of being ahead of it. Indeed, memories are like treasures—worth keeping. On the other way around, the thing is, how will you bring back all the memories you have lost? How will you live up with the memories you desperately want to remember only to lose it the moment you wake up?
A 47-year-old mother and a fiction writer by the name of Christine Lucas has been suffering from the neurological problem due to a terrible accident that occurred over two decades earlier which causes her inability to form new memories. Every morning when she wakes up, it appears as if everything is strange to her. It's as if she's inhabiting an unusual body, sleeping in an unfamiliar bed with an unknown man. Her spouse, Ben, is the weird man she's referring about. Christine works hard every day to re-create her past. The closer she comes to the truth of what happened in her prior life, the more unbelievable it appears.
What I have learned after reading the novel of S.J. Watson entitled "Before I go to sleep", is the very fact that for every action that we do may it be decent or immoral, there is always a corresponding consequence. This novel serves as a reminder not just for me but also to everyone that we should be mindful of our actions. We cannot deny the fact that most of us if not all, tend to be so spontaneous with regards to our decisions in life without having careful consideration of what might happen in the future ahead. With that being said, we should now start changing our ways for the betterment of ourselves and those people around us. This novel also reminds us to choose the people we can trust. We must know what their motives are or how genuine they are in establishing their relationship to us so that they will not going to take advantage and ruin our lives. And so, decision making is highly crucial. Having surrounded by people who truly care for you is something that you should be thankful for because not everyone has the opportunity to experience this act of love from someone.

Life is full of surprises. We do not know what will happen in the following days, weeks, or years to come. Life somehow educates us through the experiences we encounter along the way. Whenever we face challenges and difficulties, the more we learn most in life.

I've been on Read.Cash for three weeks now. Although I am grateful for being able to make it to this week, I am saddened and disappointed by my performance on this platform.
Have you ever felt as if you dont want to continue being active here? I realized that when you get to be inactive for just a day, you will feel uninterested to write blog entries and likewise interact with other writers.
In my case, I lose my focus provided that my attention was divided this week. I wanted to enjoy every single moment together with my family but my mind kept on telling me to write and read articles.

How's Yesterday?
Greetings to my fantastic readers on Read.Cash!
It's the end of the the weekend which means it's Sunday. Besides, it's the end as well of my stay together with my parents and my youngest sister for I am going to leave for good and stay to another city with my brother.
I am typing this blog entry outside our house because my youngest sister is doing her facebook live video outside as she is performing various folk dances; requirements for their dance group.
Anyway, for this blog entry, I am going to describe how i spend my Saturday with my youngest sister. Actually, I planned to post this blog entry last night but because I am not in the mood to write, I decided to just make it today. And so, enough with the introduction and let's get straight into the topic!
Yesterday|Saturday
It was around 4 in the afternoon when my manghud (youngest sister) has gone back home. She went to her classmate's house since she needed clarification on the dancing steps she was unsure of. She will have to perform folk dances via facebook live. These are the following dances: Pitik Mingaw, Jota Quirino, Lanceros de Lingayen, Pasikat na Baso, Lampay Bantigue, Arigay, and Kumintang. Good thing I already readied myself.
*4:20pm*
We went to Simply 28 Shopping Center. We roam around the place to buy some random stuff. The things that we bought are: wet wipes, tooth brush, socks, wooden spoon, and mask. I was so fascinated with all the stuff inside the shopping center. Nonetheless, most of the stuff costs 28 pesos (0.55$). That's when i thought of the name of the shopping center (Simply 28). It took us almost 40 minutes to go out of the establishment.
*4:45 pm*
The next thing we did was go to the public market and look around in some thrift stores. It has been a while since the last time I purchased some cool thrift outfits. If anyone would ask, most of my clothes are thrifts. To be honest, I got most of my clothes in thrift stores considering that it is inexpensive to purchase. I prefer thrift clothes over branded clothes. I desire to have many clothes even though it's not branded. What I noticed about branded is that you have similar outfits from other people which I dislike. Whenever I wear thrift clothes I feel like I have no clones. HAHAHA.
By the way, these are the clothes that I bought for myself.
***5:30 pm***
Since my mother wants to eat a burger, we decided to buy two orders of burger at Minute Burger. Since there are a lot of people who were buying burgers, we couldn't help but wait for our turn. Perhaps, we waited for 15 minutes. After we got our orders, we then looked for a vehicle so that we could go home.

What's up, dear readers on Read.Cash!!!
I am spending my weekend together with my family. Since my brother has a work, he has to go back home (in another city). I feel worried about my brother leaving because he's all alone but, he gave me tho the assurance that he's going to be fine.
Aside from being fine, I feel glad because the weather here in my end is fine because it's a sunny day. I thought that we would experience a gloomy or a rainy day but fortunately it didn't happen. I hate when it's raining actually.
By the way, Im still trying to read all the previous blog entries that I have saved last time. I feel like Im so left behind to all of the happenings on this platform but ill do my very best to catch up with you guys.
Anyway, let's get straight into the topic!
As I happened to finish reading one of the masterpieces of Dan Brown entitled ***The Lost Symbol,*** I cant help but be amazed by how the story ended with something that you can ponder after which I failed to guess. If I were to be asked, I should say that there are a lot of things you can learn from the aforementioned book.
However, what struck me the most or what gives me the chill feeling is the reality that i felt guilty, i am guilty for the reason that it is like through this book I am being reminded to always be humble.
Thus, I am being reminded that for every success that I achieved or will be achieving in this world, may I always not forget to give praise and honor to the Supreme being who is the reason of my existence in this world-- my God.
I cannot deny the fact that sometimes, I forget to express my gratitude for what He has done for me, and that what I have become and/or what I have possessed may it be tangible or not, is all because of Him for He is the source of everything. Sometimes, i unintentionally brag things without recognizing the grace He has given me.

Why is it that we people, as we head ourselves towards success, we tend to be arrogant and think highly of ourselves when in fact we are too far from being highly. Besides, even though God never fails to provide us in whatever ways He can, we still are ungrateful and insatiable. I must say that there are so much negativity residing within ourselves that we haven't yet to discover. Indeed we are sinners and that is the nature we cannot deny of having. However, we have this so-called 'free-will,' and it is our own decision if we go against our free-will or resist from doing wrongful acts.
It's funny how we are detaching ourselves to God yet He did nothing but to stay close to us. He really is a faithful God despite of our inconsistencies and shortcomings as His children.

First of all, I just want to say sorry for I was not able to post a blog entry yesterday. As you guys may recall on my previous article entitled "Why's October a special month for me," I shared in that specific blog entry of mine that October is my natal month. At the same time, I stated there that my birthday is on the last day of 3rd week. And that day was yesterday. **Yes! You read it right!**
My 22nd Birthday✨
Last night, we celebrated my birthday together with my family. That's the reason why I wasn't able to make an article yesterday. I tend not to make one provided that I want to make the most out of my day, 'cause why not? Right? My heart is filled with so much love considering that I felt very blessed because I was able to celebrate my birthday together with the people I cherished the most.
Of course, we ate, we talk and laugh to our heart's content. Even though I did not receive a birthday present from my family but, being with them in my special day is a gift that Im thankful for having. Having a complete and healthy family is enough. I thank the Almighty for allowing me to exist in this world even though I'm a sinner. I thank Him for staying with me as I step on another chapter of my life. To my Friend, Father, and King, I owe my life to You. You're the best!

**Morning [October 21, 2021]**
I woke up at 6:00 am. As much as I desired to extend my sleep however, I have to go out of bed because my youngest sister wanted me to be her personal assistant as she is going to have her performance task (midterm exam). What a nice day for me to be her personal assistant. HAHAHAH. If it's about school stuff, Im always on the go. By the way, she is currently 3rd year education student major in Physical Education. So, most of her tasks involve performing. As for her midterm exam in INTERNATIONAL DANCE subject, she was assigned to present and teach the SEGA DANCE via facebook live.
What is SEGA DANCE?
Just a brief information about Sega Dance, it is a dance that evolved from Madagascar's and Africa's ritual music, and it is the musical representation of the Mauritian manner of life. In most cases, the Sega is sung using the mother tongue of Mauritians--Creole.
Around 8:30 am we were already set and ready to head to the Coliseum here in our locality. She planned to perform there because according to her, the location has a tranquil atmosphere; free from the noise of the dogs, chickens, vehicles, and the like. Well, I agree with her decision for I know it's for the best.
It took us almost 30 minutes to go at the Coliseum. Her classmate together with her cousin were already there when we arrived. They prepped their costumes and put their make-ups on. As I wait for them to finish what they're doing, I checked on my social media to see if my friends and relatives had greeted me a happy birthday. To my surprise, my Aunt made a video call just to greet me and what's more overwhelming is that she gave money to me so that I could buy for my cake. The thought of her giving me something makes my heart warm. It's so sweet of her tho.
It was 10:30 am when they finished things out. The first presenter was my sister's classmate and her name is Princess. She was assigned to present and teach one of the dances in Spain (I dont know the dance tho). At exactly 10:55 am, she started to go live on facebook. Although there are certain mistakes still, she nailed her performance task. I must say that there major (P.E) is extremely exhausting.
Anyways, Princess ended her live video at around 12:35 in the afternoon. Even though my sister and I was so hungry that time still, my sister managed to proceed to go live on facebook. It took her almost 40 minutes to finish her presentation. I would have to say that she nailed her midterm performance task exam. As her brother, I am so proud of her.

We're together, At last!
Greetings to my amazing family on this platform!
Well, for this blog entry, I decided to describe my "day" today for the reason that this is not just an ordinary day for me. Besides, this is going to be my free writing exercise.
**Anyways, let's start!**
I woke up at exactly 7:20 in the morning. Good thing, i woke up 10 minutes before my set time to wake-up which is supposed to be 7:30 am. I just had enough sleep tho. I just felt ecstatic considering the fact that my brother and I are finally visiting home. As you may recall on my previous article, we're 62 kilometers away from our family since we live in another city. I just couldn't help myself but feel the adrenalin rush.
After I did my morning prayer which I usually do everyday, I did arrange everything that's unorganized in our little room. While my brother was doing his thing (working), the next thing I did was to pack our stuff (t-shirts, towel, shorts, pants, and the like). I did make sure that I packed all the necessary things to bring. I think that's what I'm good at--prepping things. HAHAHA
I told my brother that I will not cook rice for breakfast provided that we are going to leave in our place for days. Good thing he approved not to. I just dont feel like washing our plates. Apart from that I hate left-overs. With that said, we just ate "Pancit Canton" (Canton noodles) for our breakfast. After that, I sipped my favorite drink; black coffee with no sugar. I just love coffee. I drink coffee whenever I want to. I already took a bath and put my clothes on at around 9 am.
I always prefer to read 10 articles every morning just to start my day but unfortunately, I only read 1 article due to some unanticipated call from my Aunt. We did talk for almost 2 hours. Be that as it may, don't worry guys for I already saved your amazing blog entries so that when I have my spare time, I will read all of it. I promise!
Fast Forward
We arrived at home at around 1:45 in the afternoon. For how many months of being away from our family, we got to see them in the flesh at long last! Actually, they waited us for lunch so that we can eat together as a whole family. After we have eaten our lunch, my mother was caught bybsurprise because she did not anticipate to receive a super very late birthday present. I could see in her eyes that she liked my present. My heart is filled with nothing but love and happiness. This day was indeed, the RIGHT TIME.

I can say that this day is just one of the best days I have. I cant contain the happiness that I feel right now. Finally, we are reunited. I just love my family so much it hurts. 💕

Greetings to my Read.Cash family! How are you guys? I hope you guys are having a fantastic time together with your loved ones! Anyway, I'm back with a new blog entry for you to take time to read and reflect on!
My brother and I are super fond of watching movies. Majority of the movies we watch are hollywood. The reasons why we watch hollywood movies is because we get to expose ourselves in the english language, the stories are extremely awesome, the cinematography is just so breathtaking. Indeed, Hollywood films have influenced us in such a way that we are able to empathize with people or characters. My brother and I, on the other hand, came to come across a Hollywood suspense film called "***Old***."
**M. Night Shyamalan** wrote, directed, and produced this film, which was released earlier this year. It's inspired on Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters' Sandcastle, a French-language Swiss comic novel. The story follows a group of 12 people who find themselves quickly aging on an isolated beach. Something about this beach accelerates cell aging. Worse, they're trapped and can't seem to find a way out. (Well, that's something you'll have to find out!)
I'm not going to reveal all of the details about this film because I want you to enjoy the excitement if you have the opportunity to watch it. Just imagine, when you are in that beach, 60 minutes is equivalent to 2 years. So, if you are already in your adulthood stage, for sure you have a lesser chance to survive.
Anyway, there are two crucial things I’ve learned after watching the film entitled “OLD.”
1. Enjoy your childhood
Have you ever enjoyed your childhood? Well, I am confident of myself that I did enjoy every single moment of my childhood years. The scars I have with me is a manifestation that I had a wonderful childhood and I hope that you all here enjoyed your childhood as well. Childhood is, without a doubt, the happiest time of our lives. There comes a time in your life when you are completely unaware that the word "problem" exists in the human language. A time in your life when all you can think about is eating, sleeping, playing, and going to school. It is undeniably a time of life in which you have lesser responsibilities. Childhood is, above all, a period of life in which one learns. The two children (Trent and Maddox) in the film, on the other hand, have failed to complete their childhood stage (especially Trent). What's worse is that they continue to grow without gaining new critical knowledge.
2. Open Communication is important in a relationship
It is critical that couples communicate openly with one another on a regular basis. When I say open communication, I mean being completely honest with your partner. Couples' disagreements, I believe, are common because they serve as a test of how solid their love for each other is despite the challenge they are facing.
There's no disputing that having clear channels of communication with your partner increases your trust in each other. Couples should not be hesitant to speak openly about their feelings. Maybe the mother and father of Trent and Maddox (their two children) are at conflict because they appear to overlook the importance of open communication.

I believe that the most important lesson I've learned from this film is that I should strive to live each and every minute of my life as if it were my last, because I'll never know how much time I have left on this world. I have no control over my time, so I should make the most of my time here by doing something that can make a significant contribution to the world.

When boredom strikes, I normally entertain myself by going to one of these three platforms: Youtube, Facebook, or Netflix. These platforms, I'd have to say, have been my source of entertainment. Ican't help but feel excited and entertained whenever I visit these three platforms. I can't deny that we all have different ways of dealing with boredom.
I enjoy viewing numerous vlogs on YouTube which includes Alex Gonzaga's vlogs. Catherine Gonzaga-Morada is her real name. She is well-known as a Filipina actress, host, singer, comedienne, businesswoman, and an influencer.
Without a doubt, her self-titled YouTube channel is one of the most recognized channels in the Philippines.
When I watch her vlogs, I can't help but chuckle uncontrollably. She's incredibly humorous, and her ability to make others laugh comes naturally to her. I must say that she is at her authentic self. That's her strength. So, if you are bored and you want to make yourself feel ecstatic, then watch her vlogs or might as well subscribe to her youtube channel.
On one hand, whenever i feel bored, i also visit Facebook. Facebook is a social networking site where I consider as well my source of entertainment. I've been in this platform for almost 10 years. Through this platform, i get to cope up with boredom provided that I can also watch entertaining videos, interacting with my friends or loved ones through commenting their posts or videos, and so much more. Facebook was established on February 2004. This platform is now on its 17th year.
On the contrary, Ive been visiting Netflix for almost 2 years. This platform has given me the opportunity to watch films, series, dramas, and etc. Before, i used to watch movies on television but now, i can easily watch thru my phone. When I'm too lazy to accomplish something, especially something that involves thinking, I try not to force myself to do it right away; instead, I watch at least one movie to reinvigorate my interest. When you're bored, you should come up with creative ways to deal with it.
Local
The renowned Calle Crisologo in Vigan City, Ilocus Sur is the number 1 local site that I wish to visit if given the chance. Since this location is noted for having well-preserved Spanish houses owned by well-off families, it makes me desire to experience the ambiance of the Spanish era. Over the years, it has been well-maintained. Tourists can ride a kalesa or simply join a delightful walking Vigan tour and see the magnificent historical houses. If anyone would ask, Spain colonized the Philippines for over **333** years.
International
The top international destination that i want to visit if given the chance is the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. The Louvre is the world's largest and most prominent museum, and it includes one of the most magnificent museum displays in history, for everybody's information. Many of the world's most famous works of art, including the Mona Lisa, can indeed be found there. It is one of the city's biggest tourist attractions.
By the way, I was intrigued to visit this location since I stumbled across one of Dan Brown's masterpieces, ***"The Da Vinci Code."*** The setting was mentioned in the first chapter of the novel. In fact, the novel was made into a film in 2014. I'd like to see the beauty of the museum's exhibits. When I think of Paris, I immediately think of the Eiffel Tower, despite the fact that there are many other lovely places to visit in the city, including the Louvre Museum.
The most difficult aspect of being me, I believe, is that I constantly doubt myself for no apparent reason. Even thoughthis platform has forced me out of my comfort zone,I'm still worried that I won't be able to stay on this platform for long. I'm still thinking that, like everyone else, I'm just good in the beginning.
But, guys, you know what? I always try to fight this feeling. I know i shouldn't doubt myself, yet it's impossible for me not to. It's as though it's a part of my system.

*A friend of mine is hard to find*
*Like a gemstone, so rare I couldn’t deny*
*A precious one I’ve been yearning to know*
*For so long, I buried myself beneath,*

*But You came and gone to such lengths to dig me out*
*The thought of you moving mountains for me is somehow inconceivable—couldn’t even begin to imagine*

Well, to me, God is not just a Father but likewise a friend—a great friend I would have to say. He is a companion of mine who never fails to give His all-out support. Whenever I’m in pain, He’s always there to console me. He's always there to defend me whenever I'm in danger. Although sometimes I forget Him because of other things that keep me busy still, he is a loyal one. What I love about my friend is that He is caring and compassionate. I can’t help but admire His goodness. Like my parents, He also loves me unconditionally. My friend has always been there for me ever since day one. Good thing I have found a friend like Him. With that being said, as His friend, I want as well to be just like Him. I love you, my dear friend.

Yesterday marks the **2nd week** of my stay on this platform. By the way, I promise to myself that every week, I want to share my small achievements so that other newbie writers here will also be challenged to do well with regards to making their blog entries and likewise be motivated to continue staying on this platform.
I still couldn't believe that i was able to create this milestone not only for the purpose of earning, but also trying my hundred percent best to share what i can offer to this platform through writing articles. This week has been a tough week for me knowing that my academic dealings are starting to appear on the surface. Apart from that, i have other matters to do. I just hope that on my 3rd week, I can still able to provide articles for you to enjoy and reflect on. With that being said, I really have to balance my time efficiently.

Break Free
Greetings to my favorite hoomans! How are you guys? I hope you’re doing well. Don’t forget to drink a lot of water so you will stay fresh and hydrated!
Today, I woke up at quarter to 9 in the morning. This is not my wake up time. I usually wake up at 6 in the morning. I just did an exception for today. I woke up with a grateful heart provided that God has given me another chance to continue living. I know we all have a similar feeling every time we wake up in the morning. My brother has already awake considering his job. I always feel sorry for my brother because if I were in his situation, I don’t think I can handle it knowing that I’m a morning type of person. I feel most energetic which means, I can easily finish my tasks if I do them in the morning.
Going back, I intended not to touch my phone so that I could prepare first our breakfast before going straight to the comfort room to take a bath. The reason is that I tend to consume time scrolling through my cellphone. I said to myself that even if I woke up today late, I still need to be productive. Apart from that, my brother is awake for 8 hours, so I know he’s already hungry. Eating biscuits are not enough to satisfy his hunger.
Around 9:15, breakfast was already prepared and I am also done taking a bath. We satisfyingly ate our breakfast. After eating, that’s when I checked my phone if someone messaged me about school stuff. I just checked all of my social media accounts because that’s what I always do every morning aside from reading articles on Read.Cash which has now become part of my everyday activities. Before, I used to dislike reading as it makes me bored but now, I feel the need to because it allows me to gain insights from other people. I get to see the world from a different point of view because of reading. I have realized its significance when I joined this platform. Luckily, I came across Read.Cash. Huge thanks to my friend!
Anyway, at 10 am, I decided to write something. So, I get my pen and paper. I suddenly thought of this word, “break free.” And so, I started to collect my thoughts, and here’s what I wrote.

*When? When will I get over you?*
*I know I shouldn’t feel this way.*
*But why? Why are you still clinging to my mind?*
*Still thinkin’ of you each night and day,*
*you’re as if a favorite music of mine—I always keep playing over and over again*
*But how? How could you play with my feelings?*
*Feelings that I regretfully entrusted onto you*
*You left me fragmented—scattered along the pavement*
*I’m broken, and it is you who caused it*
*How could I fix and pull my senses together now?*
*I could have escaped from the bittersweet reality I am into*
*Yet I chose to live in fantasy; a whole new world where you and I only exist.*
*Funny how I still believe in you though it’s quite impossible*
*But that doesn’t bother me to care for I’m so into you*
*I could have, but I failed, and now fear has taken hold of me*
*I’d loved you and that was true yet you just stealthily played a joke on me*

What Urged me to get myself vaccinated: My first dose journey

What's up dear readers!
For this blog entry, I'd want to describe my experience receiving my first dosage of **SINOVAC-Coronavac** vaccine. Likewise, you will know why I chose SINOVAC-Coronavac and why I want to be vaccinated.
As you happened to read my previous article, I was not able to give my mother my birthday present for the reason that I was bothered by dark thoughts. I wasn't vaccinated at the time. So, I went on Facebook and looked for various vaccination clinics around my location that might accommodate walk-in clients. Fortunately, my brother sent me a screenshot message from his coworker informing me that my school had decided to allow walk-in clients. SINOVAC-Coronavac was the only vaccine available at the time. I was curious about the SINOVAC-Coronavac vaccine. And so, I visited google and search this vaccine’s name. Honestly, I researched about this vaccine to the point that I also visited Youtube just to gain more information.
I discovered an article from **World Health Organization (WHO)** that SINOVAC-Coronavac vaccine is manufactured by Sinovac—a Beijing-based pharmaceutical enterprise. Thus, it is a validated COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use which means it has met global safety, effectiveness, and production guidelines. Considering that the article is published by the World Health Organization, I trust it to be credible.
However, I also found out that the effectiveness of this vaccine only has an overall of 51% against symptomatic COVID-19 unlike in Pfizer-BioNtech, the effectiveness rate is 95%. Of course, I felt hesitant because I thought to myself, why would I choose a vaccine that has a low efficacy rate? Why not go for 95%? Instead of being thankful, what I did is to question the people who created it. What an ingrate! It took me 5 days to finally decide to go for SINOVAC-Coronavac vaccine.
September 17 |The Day of my first dose
I woke up at 7am in the morning (I make sure to sleep 8 hours). I prep things for breakfast and do some simple chores. After I ate my breakfast at quarter to 7, I wait a couple of minutes before I took a bath. I fixed myself and everything and headed out of the house at 9am. I took a 10 minute commute to my school.
At that time, the weather was so freaking hot! Although i brought with me my light blue umbrella still, i cant seem to endure the scorching heat of the sun as it somehow penetrates my inner flesh. So, I hastily go to the main entrance gate (gate 1) of the school. However, one the guards of the school told me that he would not allow me to pass through because the institution allowed people to enter in the campus through the gate 2 (located at the back of the school). I was kind of disappointed that time considering that I had to walk for atleast 10 minutes just to reach the gate 2. Before the walk begins, i did manage first to go to the nearest convenience store to buy a bottled water.
Fast Forward
I was inside the campus. I couldn't help myself but be amazed with how my school had metamorphosed. I just missed everything in this school. I couldnt help but to recount those beautiful memories ive had in my school. If COVID-19 did not appear on the surface, I could have made a lot of memories in my school. How i wish COVID-19 never existed. COVID-19 took away everything including my college life!
On one hand, the vaccination site is situated at the gymnasium so i headed inside. I expected to see a lot of people but to my surprise, we did not reach a hundred.
One of the staffs in the first table (step 1:pre-registration P1) gave forms to me to fill out which also includes the general information of my vaccine. After filling out the forms, i then proceeded to the next table (step2: pre-registration P2). What they did was, they get my information on the forms that i have filled out and wrote it on my vaccination card. After that, i head towards the other table (Step 3: counselling). I was given a minute of councelling. He did manage to explain everything tho. Likewise, he asked us if we would continue the next process which is getting vaccinated with SINOVAC-Coronavac. Well, there's no turning back so I said, YES! The nurse did check my blood pressure and interviewed me about getting vaccine on the next table (Step 4:screening).
I headed on the next table (Step 5: Vaccination Area) where had a minute of chitchat with the nurse. Honestly, Im afraid of needles [lol] but the nurse told me not to be afraid because the pain that I would feel is tolerable. I gathered my courage and gave the nurse the go signal to inject me. I just closed my eyes and take a deep breath and...DONE! I really thought it was painful but you know what, i felt nothing to be honest.
One of the staffs told me to sit and observed myself for 15 minutes. Fortunately, 15 minutes had passed and I still felt good. I did not feel any side effects. The nurse on the next table (Step 6:post-vaccination area) did some post check-up on me (she checked on my blood pressure and the result is normal). Instead of going straight home, I decided to just stay for another 15 minutes just to make sure. Luckily, i did not have a headache. I only felt that my left arm was heavy.

I felt completely fine for I was able to do household chores and other stuff. I only did simple tasks tho.

I desire to be vaccinated provided that i want to protect myself from getting severely infected with COVID-19. Thus, I desire to protect my family by getting myself vaccinated. I desire to encourage everyone to have their vaccines because after all, it's beneficial to us. I hope this article serves as a motivation to those who are hesitant to get vaccinated.

The gift I failed to give to Mom

I've been away from my home for eight months. I currently live 62 kilometers away from my family in a different part of the city. My brother and I, in fact, left for good. My brother works for a BPO company, as you may recall from my previous article. He doesn't have a choice but to work in order to support his family. In my situation, I made the decision to leave home because of my education. In the university where I attended school, I am currently a fourth-year education student.
My brother chose to rent a tiny room near his workplace and my school so that we could live together, as he had previously lived in my Uncle's house during his early years of working. As for me, I used to rent a small room close to my school, which was around 2018 (January) -2019 (December). During those years, we were apart even though we lived in the same city. I believe we had a fair and valid reason for leaving our parents and my younger sister.
2020
The worst year, I must say, considering that we were unable to travel due to the arrival of COVID-19. In addition, an Enhance Community Quarantine was implemented by the government. People are strictly restricted from going outside if they do not have a valid Food and Medicine Pass (FM Pass). Due to the circumstance, my brother had no choice but to work from home.

Anyway, going back to the main point of this blog, my mother's birthday was on September 12th of this year. So, because the travel restriction has been lifted, I decided to give her a birthday present when I return home. I pondered what the perfect present for Mom would be.
Is it better if I just give her a bag? Is it better if I just gift her a necklace? Maybe a bracelet? My thoughts were clashing in my head at the time. I had been thinking about it for days until I eventually came up with an idea for a gift for my mother—a personalized gift.
It was this ⤵
At the mall, I did purchase a plain white canvas tote bag. I also purchased two permanent markers. I scribbled the phrase **"Best M❤M Ever"** on the bag because I know how to do calligraphy. Instead of the letter **"O,"** I intentionally made it a heart since it symbolizes love, and I love my mom. I also used my colored markers to add shading to the letters to make them more appealing to the eye. However, I thought it was a little too boring for me. So, I crocheted a black ribbon with a white flower and stitched it to the side of the tote bag.
I was ready to go home; I already prepared everything. It had been on my plan to arrive at home before her special day but I was suddenly hesitant. I asked myself, should I go home knowing that I have not yet been vaccinated? What if I'm infected with the virus? What happens if they become infected?
I have a lot of bad thoughts in my head, so I chose not to go home, and this gift of mine will remain a secret for her, not because I don't want to give it to her, but because I will give it to her when the time is right.
We celebrated mom’s birthday through video calling. Even though she missed us terribly, she understood the situation. That's when I realized I needed to get myself vaccinated. I need to protect myself and my family. **COVID-19 is not a joke**; it is a serious matter that we must not underestimate.

***“Why remain to be a third-wheel?”***
Whether we admit it or not, I know we get to come across with these nonsensical questions. Like abcdefg, why being single is big of a deal? Is it really necessary to have one? Is that a requirement for us to comply? Is it necessary to join the bandwagon? Do you think we have a boring life just because we are single?
People have reasons why they choose to be single and the best thing you can do is to respect their decisions in life. They have reasons that you do not know so better shut your mouth or just support them. I just want you guys to know that there is no problem with being single and it is not even a big issue, to begin with. As someone who's single, here are my reasons.
**It's a big responsibility that I can’t manage for now**
The reason why I choose to be single is that I prefer not to indulge in a relationship. Being in a relationship for me is a big responsibility that I must put into consideration. Truth be told but being in a relationship means you are going to invest your time, effort, money, and energy to your partner. I believe in the saying, ***"You can't give what you don't have."*** How can you play your part as a boyfriend/girlfriend If you don't have these? Getting into a relationship is a serious matter. With that said, you need to consider a lot of factors before you can finally say you're ready and committed.
**There’s a perfect time to indulge in a relationship**
I believe destiny will play its part if it's a perfect time and this perfect time will lead me to the right person who will completely accept me for what and who I am. Someone who truly sees my worth and substance as an individual. Someone who will bring out the best in me. I don’t want to settle for a temporary relationship. I used to know a lot of people who are fond of having a temporary relationship. I don’t know what they are trying to prove but you know what, who am I to judge them anyway? I’m in no business to mind their lives.
Maybe, they are doing it because they are giving themselves more opportunities to meet the best person for them. Nonetheless, I do hope that there’s no lust involve in their relationship. In my own opinion, I think a temporary relationship exists because of cheating. A lot of relationships have been destroyed due to this act of insatiability.
**I prefer to have a peaceful life**
When you are in a relationship, it is very common to experience conflicts with your partner. But, when it comes to a point where you are always fighting for some shallow reasons, well it’s a different story. And so, being single enables me to keep away with this circumstance. Indeed, words cut deeper than a knife, and so as much as possible, I don’t want to inflict pain on someone thru my words. I want to avoid having arguments that will surely lead to heartaches. I want to stay emotionally healthy. Staying single means being away from the pointless drama. Life is already stressful, I don’t want to add more problems to my life.
**I can focus on “ME”**
One good thing about being single is that you have all the time for yourself. As a result, you begin to love yourself even more. Apart from that, you have more chances to develop a new skill or practice your existing skills. You get to discover and know yourself even more. Truth be told but when you are in a relationship, you tend to spend time with your partner to the point that you will realize that you have not spared a little time for yourself.
You realize that instead of chitchatting to your partner, you could have just learned a new skill that would be beneficial for your personal growth. Don’t get me wrong about my assumption guys. I'm just having the best time of my life because I have this so-called “freedom.” I don’t have to ask permission from someone. My parents are enough for me. I believe it is not selfish to focus on myself because what I’m doing is an act of loving myself.
**I can focus solely on my academics.**
To me, academics is life. With that said, being single is a big advantage for me. Being single means, I can improve my productivity since my focus is solely on my studies. I get to improve myself as a student and as a teacher in the future. Being single means, I can’t experience being pre-occupied while taking the exams just like what my friend experienced. I can’t experience crying knowing that my remarks are being affected by my emotional instability. Being single means, I have so much time for my studies.

It is okay to be single What is not okay is when you force yourself to be in a relationship just because peer pressure is taking hold of you. If I want to, I can be in a relationship however, this is not one of my priorities. On one hand, it is imperative that you allow no one to influence your life choices. Lastly, I feel that you can never truly love someone if you don't know what it is to love yourself.

This book entitled "**If I Stay**" gives me something to ponder about. The story is a matter of life and death situation in which your decision is literally in your hands whether you choose to stay even though the moment you wake up, you no longer have a family—a life you did not suppose to turn out so bad and painful or just let come what may rule over and just accept the fate you are destined to encounter.
Apart from that, this story made me believe that there are people who still are genuinely concerned about you, that love overflows in their hearts like Kim (Mia's best friend), Adam (her boyfriend), her Gran and Gramps, and the rest of Mia's relatives. The story captures my heart for the reason that it made me realize that life surprises us with an unexpected turn of events.
Indeed, life is so unpredictable that we do not have any idea—it is like it is a question of How long are we going to live in this world? How long are we going to have to bear with the adversities? What mission do we have to accomplish before bidding farewell? These are just questions that even we cannot answer precisely. It's funny how life takes us into the path of the unknown.

Perhaps, if I were in Mia's situation, I would rather not stay alive only to feel every day as if I am gradually digging my own grave. Knowing you lost the love of your life is extremely agonizing. This will surely leave a hole in the core—the feeling of emptiness that even no one could fill up. It is like you hit rock bottom. It is like you are dwelling in the dark; never wanting to come out.
Choosing whether to stay or not is difficult to decide. It is between you and the Almighty in heaven who can sort things out. I always believe that if it is your time, well it is your time.

Tonight, I decided to visit google and search for random questions to answer and make this content for my blog. I don’t know why, but my mind is refusing to cooperate today although I don’t have any school works to do. To be honest, all I did today was read a few articles and chat with my co-writers. Apart from that, I watched **Mr. and Mrs. Smith** (featuring Brad Pitt and Angelina Joli) on **Netflix**. I enjoyed watching the film because it is an action film with a touch of romantic comedy. There's just something about their chemistry that's so beautiful.

1. What's on your bucket list this year?
One of my goals for this year is to practice my writing skills. Considering that I joined this platform, I've been able to find a way to improve my writing skills. I can't deny that I'm not very good at writing. To tell you the truth, I can't help but suffer this so-called "mental block" whenever we have an essay test. I can’t seem to focus and collect my thoughts right away. Perhaps this is due to the fact that tests are being timed. And so, as a result, I am always the last one to submit my paper. I’m just so fortunate that this platform has given me the chance to write at my own will. Thus, what I love about this site is that the writers here are very nice. They motivate you to write and give you positive feedback. I will definitely do my best to improve this skill at all costs. [HAHAHA]
**2. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?**
If I had the chance to obtain a superpower, it would be the ability to teleport. Why? I'd like to have this superpower so that I can teleport to wherever I want. I want to be able to go to different locations with just a flick of my finger.
South Korea, Japan, Thailand, the United States, and France are all on my list of destinations to visit. Apart from that, I may utilize my power to transport my family to whatever destination they desire. I really want to bring joy to my family. I only have one life to live, and with that, I want to make the most out of my stay in this world.
3. What do you like most about your family?
The closeness we have as a family. I am blessed to have a family whom I can talk to regarding my problems. I am blessed to have parents who are so supportive of my endeavors. What’s good about our family is that we can directly display our affection. Even if I am a grown-up man now, I am not shy to express my love to my family through hugs and kisses.
As much as possible, we should demonstrate our love to our family especially to our parents because it’s not all the time that we get to be with them. Without a doubt, quality family time, connection, and mutual respect are the foundations of a strong family relationship.
4. Do you ever sing when you're alone? What songs?
This is not to brag, but I can sing fairly well. Singing has been my most used talent ever since when I was a little boy. At a very young age, my parents have seen my potential. When I was in kindergarten, I used to be the y if there is a singing contest in our school. I last participated in a singing competition in 2016. (Grade 11).
So, to answer this question, I have to be honest and say that I rarely sing when I'm alone, but when I do, I usually sing Ariana Grande's songs and songs from The Script. I also sing a variety of other songs. I suppose it all depends on my mood.

Last night, I decided to finish watching the last episode of Clean with Passion for Now; a romcom South Korean television series that aired in 2018. The story was about Jang Seon Kyul (Yoon Kyun Sang), the CEO of the cleaning company called “Cleaning Fairy” suffers from germophobia (fear of bacteria and contamination) and this optimistic girl that goes by the name of Gil Oh Sol (Kim Yoo Jung) who is the absolute opposite of Seon Kyul, winds herself working for him one day. The story was good considering that it is a story of love and forgiveness.
Owing to this k-drama, I had been able to formulate content that I believe you all can relate to after all. Without further ado, let’s get to the main topic of this article.
What is **CLEANLINESS?**
Cleanliness is the state or condition of being pristine, as well as the practice of maintaining one’s self or surroundings hygienic. Cleaning is, without a doubt, a standard means of achieving cleanliness. I know you are all aware of this proverb, ***“Cleanliness is next to godliness.”*** I first came across this proverb when I was in primary school. This phrase is commonly found in comfort rooms or sinks. My teacher used to tell us that cleanliness is really important and that God will be very proud of us if we know how to maintain cleanliness. And so, at a very young age, I was able to know what it means to be clean. Being clean means, you are away from germs. Being clean means, you are making your body healthy. Being clean means, you get a reward from your teacher (I can't deny this one tho! HAHAHA)
Anyways, here are my **Top 3 positive benefits of cleaning**
Cleaning helps to maintain a healthy immune system.
Considering that we are still in a pandemic situation where our health is at risk of getting infected with the COVID-19 virus, having a strong immune system is a must for each one of us. With that said, we really should prioritize more in cleaning our surroundings to combat this traitor virus. In addition, the virus can be effectively removed from household surfaces with regular cleaning and disinfection treatments. Aside from that, we should also practice to frequently wash our hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. However, if soap and water are not accessible, you can just use alcohol (for hands).
Cleaning can improve your mood
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), cleaning is a good way to alleviate stress, anxiety, and mood disorders by combining physical activity with the final result of a cleaner home. Whenever I clean the house, my mood brightens up. It provides me with a deep sense of tranquility. Hopefully in the future, If I ever have my own house, I hope to avoid having too many possessions that take up a lot of space. In my house, I intend to establish a minimalistic atmosphere.
A clean space helps increase your productivity
This is so legit! Maintaining a clean space increases my focus, and I know that most of us if not all, prefer to complete our tasks in a comfortable environment. I mean, who would prefer the other way right? Personally speaking, when I notice things that aren't in order, it's easy for me to become distracted. As a result, I lose interest to do my tasks which leads me to become unproductive.
There are a lot of positive benefits however, these 3 are the most legit benefits that you can get from cleaning.

There is no denying that having a clean environment gives a positive atmosphere to people. Nevertheless, it is vital as well that you are clean from within. Who among you here wants to learn a new skill? I guess everyone here is always up for learning. Just like what we are doing here, by creating articles, we get to enhance our skill in writing. You know what, it’s a privilege for me as a newbie writer to make articles at my own will because to tell you frankly, I only write something whenever there are requirements needed to comply in the academe.
Considering as well that I am not used to reading books (reasons: I easily get bored, feel drowsy, and my eyes sore), it is a challenge for me to be honest. I have to admit that I do have a weak vocabulary. Of course, it upsets me because if only I immersed myself before in my younger years to read, my vocabulary could have been nurtured.
Anyways, here’s this skill I want to learn aside from writing—**AutoCAD.**
What is AutoCAD by the way?
To those who have no idea of what this thing is, it is a software application (computer-aided) produced by Autodesk that lets engineers, architects, and other highly skilled individuals construct two-and three-dimensional layouts of hard substrates and meshes. The good thing about AutoCAD is that it benefits them in avoiding errors in their product as well as issues in terms of the warranty. Besides, design teams may control the quality of the finished manufactured product by using CAD. Before any models are built, it's simple to examine a fault, troubleshoot, and fix it all using the application. Indeed, to learn AutoCAD is to learn visual styles, 3D modeling and visualization, solid surface and mesh modeling, and the like.
I am currently a graduating education student and one of the issues that I am so worried about is our educational research (thesis project to be exact) because, despite the prevalence of a pandemic, we are still obliged to develop a particular technology. We could not help ourselves but accept this challenge. Since we are developing a project, we are necessitated to CAD our project.
This is one of the reasons why I want to learn this skill because I know it is beneficial now that we are constantly dealing with technology. If I have this skill, I would make this a career. With that said, I would use this amazing skill as a way to earn money because CAD jobs are not easy, it is time-consuming and I do appreciate those CAD specialists.
Careers in CAD are both gratifying and rigorous. You will have the privilege to engage with a passionate group of professionals and serve as a source of something remarkable. In addition, CAD jobs are continuously existing; every engineering and architecture team requires skilled CAD specialists and design professionals. There is no question that this career is extremely high in demand.

I believe that you are more advantageous if you have a lot of skills to offer provided you are not only a knowledgeable person but likewise a competent person. Having a lot of skills allows you to have more choices in terms of what career you are going to pursue. Aside from that, you are more close to opportunities. However, you should still at least find ways to continue practice your existing skills. Even though I am neither an engineering student nor an architecture student still, I want to indulge myself in this particular skill. I am an educator soon so I must strive to become a well-versed individual.

As you happened to read my previous article [**The Unexpected Discovery**] I joined this amazing platform on the 2nd day of October this year, so basically I am five days old on this platform. In my five days of being active on Read.Cash, I can say that I did the best decision. Leaping of faith is so worth it. Owing to this platform, I was able to connect with people through commenting on their write-ups and vice versa. Besides, the good thing is that I get to be closed with reading. If I am not mistaken, I was able to read 20 articles and It is progress for me. Through this platform, I get to be an empathetic person day by day. I just like how this platform gives me an avenue to bring positive vibes and motivation to other people. Even though I do not know them, however, I feel this sense of belongingness. I feel like I am one with them; having the same goal and that is to lift and inspire others. I feel special here.

Here in the Philippines, we celebrate Teacher’s month starting from September 5 to October 5. In addition, every year on the 5th of October, World Teacher’s Day is celebrated across the world to memorialize the approval of the ILO/UNESCO statement about the standing of educators in the year 1966. This is a special day for all the teachers around the world. We owe so much to our great teachers because aside from our parents, they are the persons who mold us to become better people equipped with knowledge and skills. They are the people who always believe in our capabilities. They are the people who also see the potential in us. We can all agree that teaching is the only career that produces and teaches all other careers. Indeed, the mother of all professions is teaching. Teaching is close to my core knowing that I will become a teacher soon.

I can say that this month is a holy month deeming the fact that it is the Holy Rosary Month. As a catholic person, praying the rosary is part of our religious exercise. The Rosary is a prayer that is based on the Bible. It starts with the Apostles' Creed, which encapsulates the Catholic religion's biggest mysteries.

The world celebrates World Smile Day annually on the first Friday in October. Harvey Ball, a business craft worker from Worcester, Massachusetts, conceptualized and popularized the idea for World Smile Day. He is known for creating the Smiley Face in 1963.
Endorphins, other natural pain relievers, and serotonin (happy hormone) are all released when you smile, according to research. These brain chemicals make us feel great from head to foot when they work together. They not only improve our mood, but they also make us feel better and relieve discomfort. Certainly, smiling is an all-natural anti-depressant to which we are allowed to become addicted. I must say that my biased month never fails to impress me.

Here we are [HAHAHA]. I am being biased about this month considering that October is my birth month. I don’t know but I think you can all agree with me that we get to be biased with our birth months ‘cause why not? So, my birthday is on the last day of the third week of October. [guess it! HAHAHA]. And so, just to let you know, my zodiac sign is Libra. As a Libran, I have noticed that while I appear to be strong on the outside, I'm quite soft on the inside. I’m the kind of person who will go to such lengths for my family and friends. I don’t care about other people’s judgments about me because I know myself more than them. Moving on, even though I celebrate my birthday in the simplest way, it is still worth the appreciation; I am grateful and blessed enough that God has given me another year to live. That’s what matters to me and the rest is just a bonus.

I became aware of life's inequity at a very young age. To be honest, I came from a low-income household. Even though my parents are present to support us in whatever way they can, but I know they experience the so-called “struggle” just to raise the three of us. Undeniably, sending the three of us to school makes it more complicated for them because of our close gap years. In spite of that circumstance, they do not bother to care about it and just take the challenge.
With that said, because of my parents, attaining education has been my primary focus. My parents often remind us the value of getting an education, despite the fact that they themselves did not obtain one. They always emphasize to us the importance of education in achieving success in life. And so, I made a promise to myself that I will not let them down; that I am going to do my very best to finish my studies in order for them to be proud of me. That really was, without even a doubt, the most important lesson I learned from them. Owing to my parents, I was able to decide what career path I would like to follow in college, and that is to pursue the field of teaching.

If you would ask me; I consider this statement of Nelson Mandela as one of my constant reminders to not give up on my studies especially now that I am in my last year of schooling. Indeed, college life is extremely challenging and thus it is the toughest stage of a student’s life I must say. I know that some of us, whether we admit it or not, would tend to say at the back of our minds or even say it straightforwardly that we were so fed up with getting an education but still doing school works. It is funny how we always rant and rant about how stressful school life is yet we still are determined to graduate and pursue our chosen career.
My Doubts :[
As an education student, equipping myself to become an educator in the near future is quite worrying. I often think about what if I fail to do my duty as a provider and a facilitator of knowledge? What if I found out that I am not good enough as a teacher? I do have a lot of what-ifs in my mind that sometimes I get to doubt my capabilities. My worries get even worse because of this so-called online education. Due to the pandemic situation, my way of learning has changed dramatically but I have no choice but to deal with this alternative educational setting. Even though I am not used to this kind of circumstance, however, I need to adapt to the changes and move forward as if nothing happened. I must say that nothing beats a face-to-face class.
Honestly, online classes are unexciting and stressful. Aside from that, it makes you feel unmotivated to learn. I am aware that I should not be feeling this way, but I could not help myself. However, it is just a temporary feeling, whenever I feel like giving up, I always remind myself what is my purpose—why do I want to become an educator. Just by constantly reminding myself, I get to pull my senses back together.
I know I have something to offer to the world. Teaching may seem challenging, however once you know your purpose, surely you will get ahead of the challenges. Besides, I want to instill in others the value of education so that they can achieve success as well. I understand that everything I learn at school is crucial to my future career, and that if I do not give my best in class, I will be disappointing my future students. I always believe that every child deserves the best education, and I should aspire to be the best educator I can be in order to give it to them.

I always believe that it just takes one person to make a difference in somebody's life. A single person can make a difference. It only takes one person to turn around a life that has become unmotivated and broken. Those individuals are teachers. Being a teacher, you should always encourage your students to do their best, you assist them in achieving success when no one else can, and also be a listener to them. Thousands of students' lives can be changed by a single teacher and I want to be that significant someone who can able to touch other’s lives.

I would have to say that this article that you are about to read is very close to my heart provided that it has been for ages since I considered myself a Korean drama fanatic. With that said, if you are an avid fan of ‘k-dramas,’ then I am sure you can relate to this article. What is K-Drama?
For the information of everyone, Korean drama or K-drama is defined as a broadcasted drama wherein the language used is Korean. In addition, k-drama is proudly made in South Korea and thus, it is typically set-up in miniseries. Furthermore, I must say that this type of drama has this kind of unique aspect that undeniably sets apart from the usual western soap operas.
Is K-Drama widely recognized across the globe?
Due to this so-called “**Korean Wave**,” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_wave Korean dramas are very well-known in all parts of the world favorably in the Philippines. One good thing about the entertainment industry in South Korea is that their dramas are accessible and can be watched through cellphone, laptop, or television provided that they offer subtitles in various languages.

I get to know their culture
One of the values I observed in Koreans is they are family-oriented. They are very devoted to one another. I may relate to this culture in my country because we are also family-oriented. We put our family first before anything else. On the other hand, every country has a different culture. I can say that there is no superior culture. All cultures are valid and equal. What we need is to respect and understand each other’s differences.
I get to learn their language
I really do believe that the more we are exposed to a particular language, the more we learn how to practice it. This is not to brag but I learned some common Korean words like “annyeonghaseyo” [Hi], “joesonghabnida,” [I’m sorry] “gwaenchanh-a,” [it’s okay] and of course, the “saranghaeyo” [I love you]. I learned as well how they sound when they speak so whenever I pronounce those above-mentioned Korean words, I feel like I speaking it right. I can also sing some korean official soundtrack songs.
I feel motivated to finish my studies
One of the reasons why watching Korean dramas motivates me to finish my studies is because I want to go to South Korea and experience the Korean vibes. In terms of tourist spots, South Korea has a lot of places to offer. I want to go to Namsan Tower, Bukchon Hanok Village, Itaewon, and so much more. I just have to make a lot of money after I graduate but before that, I should do well in class.
I get to appreciate Fashion
I cannot deny that through watching korean dramas, I was able to be acquainted with their fashion sense. I learned how to dress like a korean men (just exclude the face hahaha). Good for the country of South Korea because they experience 4 seasons (winter, spring, summer, and autumn) unlike in the Philippines, we only have wet and dry seasons. In addition, I love how simple (but with a touch of fashion) and neat they are on screen. When it comes to their complexion, I really admire how healthy their skin looks like. Aside from that, I admire how they achieve a skinglass face. They really give so much importance to their skin. [Sana All!]

As someone who is so fond of watching K-dramas, I can say that I did not just watch k-dramas because I want to be part with the growing trend, I watch k-dramas because it gives me positive effect which is good for my well-being. I get to appreciate myself and the people around me. Thus, I get to have this sense of empathy. Without a doubt, love, acceptance, kindness, resiliency, familyhood, and all other positive values are being promoted in Korean dramas. However, i'm not closing my door to other dramas tho.

It was just so amusing to recall when I came across the title of the novel for I assumed that the story would be about searching for someone else's whereabouts, only to discover that it is far more than that. Anyways, enjoy reading! ❤

The life of Miles Halters or known as “Pudge” becomes different after he decided to leave Florida for good to study in a boarding school particularly at Culver Creek Prep. He is a high school boy who is so obsessed with last words from different famous personalities. Staying at a boarding school seemed to not bother Pudge at all.
In fact, he was able to meet new acquaintances and apart from that, he gets to experience something he never thought he could not do. The friendship he invested had flourished as time passed by. However, there is this one friend of him that steals his heart, and her name is Alaska.
Alaska Young is known for being a great prankster in their school. She is smart, funny, and a stunner. Despite the positive attributes she possesses, still, she thinks of herself as a person having a fucked-up life. This is due to her experience in the past when her mother was in great anguish and literally was in a matter of life and death situation. Instead of calling for help, she did nothing but stare at her mom lying before her eyes. She was juvenile when her mom passed away. She thinks that her father blames her for her mom’s death.
On the other hand, to cut the story short, the whole community of Culver Creek Prep was saddened by the news about the death of Alaska Young. Pudge, Colonel, Takumi, Lara and the rest who have been an acquaintance of Alaska couldn’t begin to believe that their friend had died so soon. It pains them to accept about what happened to Alaska most especially to Pudge since he was all along with her the night before the unanticipated occurrence happened.
Realizations
What I have learned after reading this novel is that life seems to overwhelm us in a way that we get to be clueless—unaware, and so is death. Whenever we hear this word, it seems like there is this dark force swallowing the totality of our being to the extent that we cannot help but to accept the mere fact that we are somehow trapped in a labyrinth of grief and loss. Whenever we hear this word, it feels like fear is taking hold of us. Death is just so weird to begin with.
Although we cannot deny the fact that we humans or other living organisms are destined to perish, however, what makes it more thrilling is the fact that we do not have an idea as to when are we going to succumb in this world for good. Im sure you all agree with me that death arrives in the most unexpected circumstance. Certainly, death is an inevitable situation that we have no control over.

I don't believe that we only live to die. I believe that the reason why we exist in this world is because we have a mission to fulfill. What mission? Well, that's for us to find out. However, one thing's for sure, and that is the very fact that we only have one life to live and so with that being said, let us cherish and not waste every single moment of our lives. I hope that may we use our time doing things that can positively benefit ourselves and others as well. May we always choose to do what is right despite this cruel world we are living today. May we all choose to stick closer to God no matter what and thus, may we strengthen more our relationship to Him. LOVE, COMPASSION, and UNITY; that's all we need in this world.

Hello dear readers! 👋🏻How’s your day going? I hope you guys are safe and doing great. Well, if you have some time, I have prepared an article for you. This article mainly talks about my experience before I finally decided to join Read.Cash.
So, here's the thing...
It was on October 2, 2021 (Saturday) when I happened to discover a platform where you can earn money but at the same time allows you to hone your skill in writing. Apart from that, you can have the opportunity to mingle with the other writers by commenting on their articles and short posts. I believe you probably already knew what I am talking about— Read.Cash.
But wait my friend!
Before digging into the reason why I unexpectedly discover Read.Cash, let me share with you what had happened that day.
O C T O B E R 2, 2 0 2 1 | The Day
October 2 was a special day I would say, considering as well that one of my colleagues was having his birthday. Of course, he invited me through chat the other day to go to his house to celebrate his day. Yay!
3:40 am
I woke up so early for the reason that I could not stand the noise my brother was creating at that moment. My brother had a meeting together with his team. If anyone would ask, he works at a BPO company. He kept laughing to the point that I felt so annoyed by his voice. I tried to go back to sleep, but unfortunately, I failed to do it. And so, what I did was scrolling through my cellphone.
4:30 am
I decided to stop scrolling because I felt bored. And so, I thought about what I should do next. After seconds of contemplation, I finally thought of preparing our food for breakfast. I first washed the dishes and cooked rice. For our viand, I just simply heated the corned beef, and voila! Breakfast is ready hahaha.
5:15 am
I did wash my face and put on a facial mask after. I felt the soothing sensation of the mask. I decided to listen to some random songs and intentionally close my eyes hoping that I would feel drowsy, but again I failed.
6:00 am
We ate our breakfast. Likewise, I prepared milk for my brother and as for myself, I prepared a cup of coffee with no added sugar. Personally speaking, I prefer coffee over milk. Anyways, are you a coffee lover too? Well if you are, then I guess we are allies. 😁
----------->> Fast Forward <<----------
I arrived at my friend’s house at quarter to eleven. It was indeed an exhausting trip for I sat in the jeep for almost two hours and the weather was so hot. However, that feeling was gone after I saw my friends welcoming me with a look of surprise and cheerfulness. The feeling of euphoria has enveloped the totality of my body. We apparently talked and laughed about some stuff and eventually sang to our heart’s content.
On the other hand, I remember my friend @Sequoia asked me if I do have a part-time job. I said her that I don’t have one. Due to that instance, that is when she discussed with me about this platform—Read.Cash. Honestly, I felt overwhelmed by how she was able to balance her life as a daughter, a student, and as a writer. What she has achieved right now is all because of her hard work, dedication, and passion but above all, it is all because of God. God has always been and will always be the source of everything.
What i realized after knowing the platform
I cannot deny the fact that whenever there are opportunities for me I always say that I cannot do this I cannot do that. I always doubt myself, however, not this time!
When will I grow as an individual if I always stay in my comfort zone? When will I know if this thing works on me well if I won’t try? When will I achieve something greater if I always think I can’t make it? I don’t want to regret the things that I haven’t tried. I don’t want to be stagnant and not be able to develop a skill just because I am afraid to take a leap of faith. I don’t want to say “I could have done it.” And so, I decided to take on this journey towards knowing the other version of me. I want to start expressing my emotions through writing. I want to be good at this field that I am pursuing right now. And I thank my friend @Sequoia for sharing this wonderful platform where I can be someone I thought i couldn't be.

Writing may seem so hard for me right now but I know someday I will become an amazing writer (im claiming it now) who is not only a writer but someone who can inspire and touch other people’s lives.
