Risk Awareness is an advantage. It can make every organization work together towards managing a risk. They are usually ready for it and has enough knowledge on how to handle it. The organization with this culture will have an advantage because they have been aware of the possible risks or they are trained to be ready for them.
First, what role is important in an organization? Let's take a look on that...
In my own perspective, the most important role in an organization is Staff. According to my research and understanding, they are the people employed in a company or firm. Meaning to say, they are the manpower and the people behind every works well done within the workplace. We all know that we cannot do things alone, that is why companies are hiring staffs for their manpower. They put people in position based on their skills and abilities.
Among the six roles in an organization, staff was the most essential because Supporters, Players, Financiers, Sponsors, and Suppliers will be nothing if a company has no manpower or has no someone who works with them. The backbone and support system of every organization, business, and companies are the people working with them – the staffs.
Also, risks are happening in them or they handle the risks too. Some of them should have awareness and follow guidelines for their own good and for the organization's goals and objectives.
What are the Risk Communication Guidelines? How are they working?
The Risk Communication Guidelines are simply the things that every people in the organization or the stakeholders must understand and follow. The first guideline is knowing the stakeholders, which means that they should be aware of who owns the company or who have contributions on it. The next is simplify the language, and this must work for better understanding. It is the guideline where the language that they should use is simple and can be understood by everyone.
Setting objective is also a great way to have a better risk communication. Being objective means appreciating everything in the process of risk management. The next guideline is to communicate clearly. It is obvious that communication can solve conflicts and misunderstanding so it should be done clearly. Lastly, deal with uncertainties. Never let little details get through. It is about facing the consequences one way or another.
What are the roles that people in an organizations must be aware of and understand?
Leadership - it is important in Risk Management because it gives people the discipline and good attitude towards managing risks.
Involvement - it can be a great opportunity to contribute on handling risks in your organization or company. Involvement can play a role in managing risks, and also add efforts as well.
Learning - in handling risks, there should be lessons learned at the end. Learning is very important because it can be applied in future risks. Also, this aspect is the best part in managing risks — where you learn from them and take advantage of that in the future.
Accountability - a person must know when to be accountable at something. It should be an essential role of anyone.
Communication - communication is the key to everything. A clear and better communication with one another is very important in every organization or company.
