In every tasks, there are techniques behind the success of doing them. Behind a better and improved management of organization or risks, there are strategies in the shadow. Sometimes, we are dealing with our techniques, etiquettes, strategies, or any term we call it to survive. And it happens in every firm, business, and organizations. They need techniques to survive and be stronger for a longer run.

In this article, we will talk about how enterprises deal with the risks they may be facing every day, month, or year. Whether they are long-term or short-term, it does not matter as long as we learn from how they handle them. Let's start!

Corrective (Treat)

This technique is focused on reducing the losses and impacts. In every risk in an organization, there is an impact and considering this technique will lessen the possible worst impacts.

For example, the location of the organization’s workplace is prone to fire hazard. To reduce the possible losses once the fire happened, the people in higher position will have to make a decision regarding the matter. They will put fire extinguishers everywhere, and sprinklers will be around the workplace too.

Preventive (Terminate)

The word itself “preventive” meaning it is a risk control technique that sees a risk before it happens. In this technique, organizations or companies tend to set preventive controls to avoid worst impacts.

An example of this is when a company is producing another product and they need to use flammable materials which is a risk. To prevent something worst to happen once they start their operation, they will have to make preventive measures like how to properly use the flammable materials and the environment they need in able to prevent fires and explosions. They already terminated the risk of starting fire and explosions in the workplace.

Directive (Transfer)

Under the Directive Risk Control Technique, it more on detecting possible risks and trying to transfer them in a place or situation where there will be less impacts.

An example of this is giving your employees the training days and give them some guidelines to follow. Imagine giving your employees a training on improving their skills in the field they work at, they will work better and it will contribute to the organization big time.

Detective (Tolerate)

The Detective Risk Control Technique is working on literally detecting possible risks in the future. The term tolerate means this technique can say whether the organization can tolerate the risk or not.

For example, the inventory says that they lack on some important materials and the supplier cannot supply as soon as possible. In this risk control, it works on studying whether the organization can use alternatives or not. Another example is checking overall reports.
