Because of the pandemic, people are told to stay at home. Some engaged into physical activities such as home workout and exercises, some applied for home-based job, and some also enjoyed being at home through doing their daily routines.
We are afraid to go outside because of the virus, and online shopping became an essential to everyone. You can just check your phone and browse for food or things you want to buy. It will only require one click before you place an order.
On the other hand, some jobs were paused and other sources for finances stopped too. We need to think of the better way to save money without sacrificing our needs. So in this article, I want to show everyone the things I consider and do to save money while shopping online. This might help you or be an eye-opener that you can still save money even if shopping hassle-free online.
Do you love purchasing items hassle-free? Then, you must be a fan of online shopping. Because it offers hassle-free, drive-free, and give us a lot of time in choosing things to buy, there are additional fees that we are going to pay like shipping fees. And, it depends on your location.
I have prepared something for everyone that might be helpful. Here are the list of my friendly tips on how to save money in shopping online:
Check for Discounts or Flash Sale
Some shops are giving discounts to new users or browsers. You can also encounter Flash Sale in some online shopping platforms like Lazada and Shopee, where you can buy items on sale in a limited time frame. Before you place an order, check the items on the Flash Sale section to save some money. They give cheaper prices and big discounts on this daily offer from them.
I am a fan of Flash Sales because you can buy some of your favorite items in their, plus you can enjoy the discount. Sometimes, I am browsing the current items on sale, and also checks the next things that would be on sale. You can see the time frame during this event from different platforms.
All-in-One Shop
I call this tip as an All-in-One Shop but it refers to shopping in one single shop. Sometimes, we want to buy items but they are from different shops. It means that we will be paying multiple shipping fees as well. Admit it or not, sometimes shipping fees are more pricey than the item we are purchasing.
You can check different shops and browse across the products they are selling. As much as possible, look for the shop that sells all of the things you want. In that case, you will only worry into one shipping fee of your orders. Also, you can save money in buying in the same shop because they sometimes offer discounts which depends on the total costs of your order.
Look for A Shop with Cheaper Prices
There are different choices in shopping online. You have wide variety of options to choose from. Make sure that you are browsing to look for shops that will offer cheaper prices. Sometimes they are just around, and you just need to dig deeper. Different shops are circulating online and look for the one with the best reviews and as much as possible have less expensive items.
Use Free Shipping Vouchers
Online shopping platforms are giving free shipping vouchers most of the time. This happens during their mega sale events. You need to be attentive during these days because you can take advantage of the vouchers to save money. Your shipping fee depends on your location but imagine having a less from it through using gift vouchers. I always wait for the notification about them before shopping since the fee is not a joke knowing that I am in a province.
Take Advantage To Cashbacks
Aside from free shipping vouchers, some shops or platforms also offer cashbacks. Sometimes I am getting 10-15% of cashback from shopping online and it helped me to earn points for my next purchases. You can use the money from cashbacks into your next shopping haul. The cashback offer will be useful, especially when you are buying in bulk or the total cost of your order is a little expensive.
