Value Your Worth
Do you know your worth?
What is your worth?
I mean to ask, "what are the values of your knowledge and skills?"
Who do you think knows your real worth?
Who do you think knows you the best?
The answer to the last two questions is "you."
So, do you know your real worth?
If you don't know your real worth and value yourself, how can you expect others will value you, and pay for your service/solution/product?
Therefore, it is a must that you have a clear idea about your real worth.
You create your worth and decide the value.
Consumers need a service, solution, and product. They know what they want.
As a solution provider, you create a service, solution, and or product.
As the creator of the solution, product, and service, you decide how much value (cost) you have to ask for providing it to the consumers.
The consumers may let you know about their funding position. But, they can't dictate the value (cost) of a solution, service, or product.
You must stick to your value and quality.
The value (cost) of a product or solution is decided by the creator/provider and not by the consumer. Still, in today's crashing market, value is so relative and fragile.
The value proposition is in our hands, but the consumer philosophy is not in our hands. Consumers are ready to go for a lower-priced product and compromise on quality.
Let the consumers know about the quality of your solution, service, or product. Show them a comparison of equivalent solutions, services, or products. Highlight the uniqueness and superiority of your service, product, or solution.
Stick to your value proposition and its worth.
Concluding thoughts
Recently, I received an email to deliver an online lecture on the topic of cybersecurity. The person simply asks in the email, "What are your fees, sir?"
I remembered my consultant friend from Bangaluru who once told me to increase my fees for services on anything, be it ghostwriting, product development, software consultancy, or any other things.
I thought that I must share it with the blogging community with a general discussion on evaluating our real worth.
You must know your worth and don't hesitate to value yourself accordingly.
Postscript
I wrote a reply to a comment, and it is so cool to understand our worth.
"Evaluating ourselves (from the inside) is always tricky.
For example, the BTC and its hard fork projects may think differently about their value propositions. It is the users who can judge their real worth!"
