It's been a long time. I finally revived this account. I thought I'll never be in touch with you again here. I missed a lot of things. I missed writing and reading your works, hopefully, I could be able to get back on track even with all the changes that happened.

Never Settle for a One-sided Love If you feel like you're the only one putting energy into the relationship, the one coming to compromises, the one who makes a lot of sacrifices, the one who does the effort, I'm telling you, you better LEAVE! If you feel like you're underappreciated or disrespected in the relationship, LEAVE! You don't have to stay in a relationship wherein it's off-balance like you are offering so much more than you're getting back in return. It's not fair to stay while you're feeling unfulfilled and you feel like you need and deserve more than this, or if you're looking for more. It doesn't mean that walking away from a relationship that gives you less makes you someone who has a very high standard, and it doesn't make you greedy. Your expectations aren't too high, the relationship must be balanced. You should feel like both of you are giving the same effort. No one should be trapped in a one-sided relationship, so you shouldn't! Don't force yourself to stay in the same situation just because you're used to it. Never allow your history to hold you in place. Your guilt should not be the one deciding your future. You don't have to feel bad walking away from someone who doesn't even treat you right. Yes, moving on, forgetting, and letting go might be a hard time, but that is not enough reason for you to stay. Your options are not limited. Happiness is always in your choices. Whatever it takes, choose it. You can choose to chase after genuine love. No need to settle for one-sided love. You should leave if the respect is one-sided. Be with someone who prioritizes everything that you have to say, cares about your ideas and opinion and listens when you say no. If problems arise, leave if you're the only one who compromises in the relationship. Don't put too much energy into fixing your problems when it's only you who tries to do it. You're not the only one who's always wrong every time you fought, stop saying sorry every time. You shouldn't be the only one to set things right. It should be done cooperatively. You should be on the same side. The relationship is not worth fighting at all when only want is willing to fight for the relationship. Leave if the relationship is one-sided. You should feel that you are prioritized, valued, and cherished. You should be with someone who doesn't make you think about whether they think about you or not. Be with someone who will give you everything, not only half. Lead image from Google. Hi, It's me, Noelle. Been away for a while, how are y'all 😊
I miss you, but I'm moving on Three months passed since the day I found myself picking up the bits of pieces of my heart on the ground. It's been a while since my eyes sored from crying so much, thinking where have I gone wrong, what did I do to make you leave me? I can't believe that I'm still alive after feeling the stab in my chest a million times. I am so proud of myself, I made it even without you. It's been a while but, I still miss you. I still wish we were still together because I'm telling you until now, the past is still haunting me with all the things we used to do. The day when our farewell was real, I knew already that we won't be talking anymore and that made me save the last voice message you sent me and I still have it now, and it still makes my heart feels small. We've been through ups and down. We travelled bumpy roads together, so it won't be easy for me to forget someone who was with me during the hardest days of my life. Our love was far from perfect, but we were happy in our small crib. We had inside jokes, language and signs that only u know the meaning of and our sense of humour that is so out of this world that only both of us understood. I wonder why the time didn't give me the favor this time. Ninety days is enough to heal, but why does until now, it's still so hard for me to see all the red flags they said you have. I knew you ever since that you wanted me in your life, but not the way I wanted you in mine. You took all of me that I willingly gave to you, but I only receive half of you. There were stories about you and I didn't listen. You had secrets that I didn't mind for your privacy, all your excuses, tales and stories that don't make sense, I didn't mind them all, because I wanted you. I wanted all of you. You and your handsome face, your energy and intelligence, and your best way of making me feel. I look back and blame myself for being stupid in trying to change your mind. You always knew what you wanted, and it wasn't me. Deep inside I knew it wasn't right but I turned a blind eye because I really want to keep you. I'm not going to lie. I still miss you. I miss you every time I go out with our friends because we used to go out with them. It's never the same now that we've separated. I miss you every time I hear the songs you have on the playlist that you said were for me. I miss you when it's raining and it's cold and there's no one to cuddle with. I just miss you every day. I still care about you, and I still do. But I deserve better. I deserve someone who will give the same energy that I give. Not only half of them just because half of them are emotionally unavailable. I deserve someone sure to have me the first time they said they love me, not someone who changes when something triggered them. Someone who will never let go of my hand even if it gets sweaty. Someone who wants all of me because they genuinely love me, not someone who will only take all of me because I was the one there. The day you left, I thought a lot about my future. I thought a lot about the next one who is going to be in my life. I thought about all the things I want and the ones I am missing, and I realized what I was missing was self-love. I need to love myself first before being in love with someone again. I need to be my priority and my soulmate. I need to embrace the person I am with all the scars and bruises in me and then I will be able to identify what I want and how I deserve to be treated. I'm not going to lie I miss you. I miss you every day and night. But, I know this time, I need to move on, walk away, and love myself again. I deserve to move on and live happily again. Lead image from Google. Hi, it's me, Noelle. I'm having a headache while typing the whole text. What's this all about? 😭
Love or Friendship? I have a very wonderful movie recommendation. I slept so late last night because I planned to skip work today just to lie down on my bed. Well, I have those days where I feel like I have to take a long rest and hibernate like a hamster. It's my lazy days and I always give myself the chance to enjoy my laziness for one day, because I think I deserve it, working so hard for myself and my family. Well, anyway, I wanted to share the movie I watched last night. It's an Asian movie. It's from Korea. I heard it's famous because of its amazing plot, probably, you've watched it already. So, have you watched, the "20th Century Girl" K-Movie? If not yet, I highly recommend this. What made me ponder on this movie, is about friendship. I know for sure we all have that one friend whom we are willing to risk our lives with. Someone we considered as our soulmates. The question is, how deep can you swim the ocean for your friend when it comes to love? I will not tell you what happens in the movie so it will not spoil you, just in case you are going to watch it today 😁. But, one main point in the plot is about friendship that could be broken by love because both have fallen in love with the same person. My best friend and I have been hanging out since grade school. We may be separated oceans apart, but still, our bond is stronger than anything else. We are so inseparable before that when the time comes that we need to partway for our careers both of us developed separation anxiety. We wanted to see each other through video calls every single free time we have. I remembered back in middle school, he had a crush on one of our classmates. Like it was not just a simple crush but she was crazily in love with that classmate. I was aloof to everyone except for her. But, I supported her and just make him notice my best friend. We did crazy things together just to make him feel her presence, and not long after, they became friends. JUST FRIENDS. The guy had someone else in his mind. My best friend was brokenhearted and she wanted to know who the girl he was considering as his dream girl was. I didn't involve myself anymore because I might punch that in his face for breaking my best friend's heart. I know my best friend wouldn't allow that. Eventually, my best friend moved on and found someone new. There was a reunion that happened twice already in our school but I never tried to attend because I just don't like it. I don't even have a lot of friends in middle school. My best friend was never absent and she told me that she saw her old crush and was now so fine and is working as a policeman. Well, good for him. I was eating alone in a restau when someone joined me at my table and to my surprise, it was him, my best friend's old crush. I didn't shoo him away because I'm not that rude. We just talk formally, until the meet-ups became casual, then it became a regular basis. Then one day, he confessed, that I was the girl he likes in middle school, not my best friend. I was stunned because all along I am the cause of why my best friend was hurting before. I was the girl. But I didn't know. I admit I started developing feelings for a guy for the very first time in my life and he was already courting me at that time. I kept it a secret from my best friend, knowing that she still likes the guy and she's single probably waiting for him. I didn't know what to do so I turned them down countless times the guy but still, he pursued me. Until, my best friend knew about the real score about us, from beginning to end, and I was labelled "traitor" by my only friend. I was hurt and I know what I did was wrong. I was at fault. After a year, we reconciled, and she told me she was sorry for being selfish, and that she was the one who set me up with him. And until now, we're going strong, my best friend is already married and I am still with him. It must be very difficult to choose between love and friendship. But in my case, I would choose friendship over love. But God is so kind to me, he made me choose friendship first and that friendship lead me to love. Lead image from Google. It's me, Noelle 🥰 How are you today?
Midnight rain https://youtu.be/IRZ9BSg8onw Last month, Taylor Swift released her new album Midnights. Swifties were in awe as they completely heard all the tracks in the album. Taylor Swift never failed to amaze her fans with all her songs. One of the songs in her album called, Midnight rain, became trending on a social media platform when someone posted about how she relates her 12-year relationship with the song. She quoted in her post, "Both of us are midnight rain. Neither of us wanted the comfortable. Marriage was our least priority. We were both busy making our names. Neither of us stayed the same. He is now a doctor. I am now a lawyer. That's how our 12-year relationship ended. We both changed like midnight rain." When I saw the post, I got emotional thinking that a 12-year relationship is not easy to build a relationship that long. I was the one who feel like they only wasted the years that they'd been together. But, on the other side, I understand why they choose to separate ways. Both of them wanted to grow in their chosen careers, and it feels like having each other no longer helps to improve themselves. Probably they become toxic to each other or they just lost the time. I wouldn't like to be in a relationship either that is only for comfort, or something that has become steady because of different chosen careers. I felt every single word she said because I am feeling like, I'm going to be like the midnight rain in our relationship. He was my sunshine, and I was his midnight rain. He wanted simple things, but I wanted more. He loves the comfort while I become addicted to pain. There was a time when I told him that I want to go abroad to study and work there for my expenses. But he didn't allow me. Before we had each other, it was already on my plans to work abroad, teach there, and experience life there. I thought he would support me but it turns out, he only wants me to stay here. I think it's not fair knowing that he's growing in his career while I'm just stuck. I wanted more than the things I have because I know I can do more. I just have to take myself from the place where I know I will grow as an individual. It became an issue for us. Every time we talk about it, it always ended up with a fight. All I want for him is to understand me and support me because that's what I wanted to do. It is the only thing that I could think of that would make me grow as a person. I tried a million times explaining to him that it wouldn't take forever. That I'll come back when I reach my satisfaction. I don't want to have a family yet. I don't want to have children, not even marriage. I am not ready yet. I didn't change. Ever since I wanted that dream. I love him but what about my dreams? I supported him throughout his journey to being a policeman. I waited until he came back from his training centre. Why can't he do the same thing? Support me and wait for me? I don't like to think that one day, we will see each other along the street full of regrets because one went away and changed like midnight while the other stayed the same but has no choice but to let go. If you can't have the two? Which would you choose, Love or Career? Lead image from Google. Hi! It's me Noelle! Happy Sunday Everyone!
I fixed you, how could you destroy me? It's always like this, well I think it's just me. Because we want the other person to be happy because we love them, we help them to get over things that made them broken and somehow things that might've hurt them. We helped them in their healing process. It will never be easy because there are a lot of things you need to give; strength, understanding, patience, yourself, and even sometimes financial support. Because you want the person to be whole again, you are getting some parts of your being just to fill in the gaps in their lives. Unknowingly that as you give them the things they need for their healing, you are slowly spent and broken. But we will never think of being broken. It will never come to our minds that we are breaking. It doesn't matter at all because we love the person genuinely. It's just what we always say, we are just in love that's why we will do almost everything for them. At some point in our lives, all of us have become so dumb because of love. That our sacrifices, and giving ourselves to them are part of loving the person. The question is, why do you want to fix the person you love and make them whole again? First, maybe because of love we can't them to be whole and fixed. Isn't it satisfying to look at the person you love smiling and looking so happy because they got over their past, they have peace of mind? Because we're always like that, we depend our happiness on the people we love. If they're happy with something, we feel happy too. It's a cliche, but it happens when you love someone. It seems like we absorbed the love we are giving despite the uncertainty that not one hundred per cent, will come back to us. Second, we are trying to fix them because we want them to know that our feelings towards them are genuine and valid. We do things that make them feel that they are loved and treated well. We will be with them on their journey of healing and will stay until she gets healed. Lastly, we are trying to give them because we're broken too. We are yearning that after we fix them, they could fix us too. It's in your mind that they will give back the same effort we are giving them, that they will also fix us from getting broken. But it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes, we will be forgotten because they're already healed. That's why we always end up hanging by a cliff, left and broken. Regrets are felt right after. Because we give too much that there's nothing even left for us. And I think it's part of loving. Fixing someone and getting broken. Lead image from Unsplash. Hi, it's me Noelle :)
Am I cheating? My boyfriend and I have been together for six months now. So far, our relationship is getting stronger despite the distance between us. We seldomly see each other only because of the nature of our work. He stays in the city kilometres away from the town where I'm staying. At some weekends we meet secretly in a place where somewhere only we know. Yes, we have a very private relationship. Both of us had a reason why we chose to keep our relationship a secret from everybody. It's not like we are already committed to someone else and we are cheating on them. No, it's not like that. We are not allowed to meet in public places, afraid that someone will catch us and tell our parents that we are dating each other. Yes, it's all about family issues. We enjoy meeting behind closed doors, we play, talking about our workmates, how the week went, doing what lovers do, etc. We enjoyed all of those because what matters for both of us is that we are together even for the shortest of time. All of the time I missed him but what can I do? Time is not ours yet to hold. It's undeniable that sometimes I feel insecure every time I see some of my male friends on Facebook flexing their girlfriends in their stories, tagging, and mentioning them on some random sweet posts. I wanted to experience how it feels when you get a notification that he tagged me in a very sweet post. In our situation, it's impossible. As much as possible, there should be no one that could get a hint about us or else we will be separated. That's the only thing that I keep in my mind so I should stop myself from thinking about bad things. Then, there comes this guy who lives next door to the apartment I'm renting. There was a certain encounter that made me talk to him and be friends with him. He was nice and also good-looking. Ever since that encounter that happened last week, he keeps on sending me random messages. He was funny too. He keeps on inviting me for a road trip which I always decline. I don't want to lie to my boyfriend. I just told him that I don't like going out and that I prefer on staying at home, but I'm just lying because I want road trips and food tripping. Then, one day, I received a notification it says, "Karlo, mentioned you in a post." I got nervous so I opened it immediately, I was too stunned to react to what I saw. He mentioned me in a post that says, "Mention the most beautiful girl you met this year." My name was mentioned with an emoji with hearts in its eyes. I can't deny that I am fluttered. So, this is what it feels like, I thought so. I told him to delete his comment with my name, I'm just being careful someone might see it. He politely deleted it. I'm feeling guilty actually because I'm having a conversation with some other guy behind my boyfriend's back. I know I should stop communicating with him but, there's a part of me that is enjoying his presence. I don't have any intentions but just to make friends with him. But, I think it would be better if I should stop talking to him. I don't want my boyfriend to look at me differently because of some random guy who did nothing but gave a lot of confusion in my head. Am I doing the right thing? Hi, its Noelle! I miss you all! Lead image from Google.
Ex: How are you? https://youtu.be/Ef_Mmevd8dg What will you do if all of a sudden you will receive a notification coming from a person that you have forgotten already and asks, "HOW ARE YOU?" Like, you're already at peace and contented, you have forgotten already the heartaches and the pain you felt ages ago, then one day, someone from your past will come back as if nothing happened and they dare to ask, HOW ARE YOU? When they left you on a cliff-hanging area and now that you've moved on, they are trying to crawl slowly again into your life. They will say sorry casually as if they just tease you and it didn't leave a scar in your heart. There could be reasons why they come back. First, it could be because they are assuming that you will accept them, despite the pain you felt when they left. The replacement didn't exceed your standard probably, and they are thinking that you will be timid and will accept them wholeheartedly. It's like they want to activate the feelings you had once for them so you will take them back. Second, the guilt is probably hunting them for hurting you or he wanted to make things right because he realized that he cannot find someone like you. The audacity! So how to react if your Ex suddenly comes back? 1. This could be risky, but, you should reply without showing any emotions. This is to make them feel that you have no more interest. Or you could make a reply with one or two words only. Just a dry conversation. No emojis. No typical happy vibes. Just let him feel that it's all casual. Don't make it obvious that there's an effect when he messaged you. Send him late replies, unlike the old times when the excitement was still there. But, if you feel something like, nervousness, annoyance, or excitement, you have to control yourself. Take that chance to become hard as a rock to the person who hurt you. Until his presence becomes a burden to you and has no value anymore. 2. You can take that opportunity for closure. It will be the chance you can ask him questions that bothered you for the longest time. Take that opportunity to say the things you want to say to him. It's not like trying to get back to the past, it's just for confirmation and your peace of mind, especially if the breakup is sudden. They said that talking about the past brings peace to the present. Maybe in that way, you both can find the true closure you are looking for. My ex-boyfriend and I broke up how many days after we graduated from college. For some time, we were in an LDR kind of relationship and I was able to bear it. It was for our internship. Both of us are busy and it was the start of all the chaos in the relationship. Until he broke up with me, telling me he can't bear LDR anymore, that he was tired and everything. I tried fixing us. I went to him and he said he doesn't want me anymore. I left his place with a broken heart that day while going back to my place. So a year after, I was stunned to see a notification from him asking for a friend request. I was already fine, I moved on and was happily single. I accepted his request. Minutes after accepting his request he messaged me. I was just going with the flow of our conversation. In the middle of our conversation, he endorsed the product that he and his girlfriend are selling. Isn't it weird to do business with your ex? But, I just thought to myself we're both over it and it's all in the past. I've forgiven him even without his apology. We meet up for the product. I could just tell him to deliver it to my place but I wanted to test myself if I could feel something else like the feelings I had before. But, yeah, nothing left but just memories. It was all clear to me. There was no more pain and anger. 3. Block him from all your social media accounts. It's not bitter. But it could be your way of helping out yourself to move on. Don't let that person enter your way again and make a mess in your head. But if it happens outside social media like he will appear all of a sudden, I think it would be better if you will not talk to him. Don't give him attention. He should feel that you're already okay. That you don't care anymore. Think about the sleepless nights you spent crying and trying to get over that person. Protect yourself, guard yourself, you're old enough and you've been through a lot already. Let yourself rest. You are worthy. Lead image from Google.
Why is it so hard to let go? They said if you are really meant for each other, you will end up together no matter what happens, no matter what challenges you both encounter and even if you let him go. If you are destined to be together, you will end up being in each other's arms. You will know if the person genuinely loves you after letting him go he will come rushing back to you and that will be the start of your lifetime journey together. I don't know if it's right to test destiny but what if you let him go and he never comes back? You just wanted to know if he's someone who comes back around. It's so scary to take a risk on something that you already have and then decided to let them go. So, what if you let him go and he stayed in somebody else's arms? What if the test you made with destiny didn't work out? I think that's scarier. It's scary to think if he would still come back. Would he still want to come back? Or if he will ever wake up one day and realizes that he still loves you a lot. It would be very difficult because both of you have been through so many ups and downs and it's already been a long time that you both spent together that you get used to each other's presence in everything. Would you still decide to let him go? You both surpassed life challenges that almost made you give up on each other but you both promised to work it out and solve the problem. Remember the moment that you do just to get closer to him, to be with the one you love, and then you're just going to let the person go? Are you just gonna tolerate the pain? So, why is it so difficult to let go? Because you made effort to have that person. You were there first. You were chosen first. You were the one who was with him thru thick and thin. And then there comes one person who will try to break you apart and demolish the love you have for each other. Someone whose main goal is to break you apart. Have you heard of this saying that goes, you cooked for the food but somebody ate it? It was you who built an empire of trust in the relationship and then all of a sudden, it will all be gone. But, the most difficult thing to happen, is when you have to choose. Will you still hold on even if he rejects you already, or will you let go even if you still love him? It's so difficult to let go of someone who gave you so much to remember but what else can you do if the other person doesn't like to stay anymore? There will be a lot of what if's and could've been in your heart but just set them aside it won't help anymore to let him come back to you. Some people choose to fight even though they knew already that they are fighting a losing battle. They will endure everything than lose that something they worked hard for. It is too tiring to be in a relationship where only one who's trying to make everything work out, understand every situation, and fight for the relationship. It's too riding to fight and save the relationship when he has already found another love. Mostly, you will choose to let go not because your love has lost its value but because you need to be free. To be free from the pain you felt in your heart, the stress in your mind, and the body pains you felt in your relationship. You need to let go because of yourself, and this time, you will choose yourself first over anything. There are many reasons why letting go is a hard thing to do but, when you know it in yourself, you will realize in yourself that letting go means having freedom. It is scary and painful but you need to. Lead image from Unsplash. I miss you all 😊
You love him, but he's not for you Maybe one day, you will find someone different. Someone who will bring out the different kinds of happiness. Someone who you will think is the one for you. You might just never know that you have fallen already for the person. No matter how many times you forced yourself not to develop feelings but the more you resist, the more you are falling for the person. Somehow you probably thought of having the same feeling with the person. You might have thought that you have already found the one. But unfortunately, what he's giving you is all just temporary. That temporary happiness and feelings that you thought will last for long will be the end of you, you should have not invested your feelings in something that isn't sure about yet. So when the time comes that he will suddenly leave like a ghost leaving with no imprints, you will have to cry out loud and let all your feelings numb because of the disappointment of expecting and assuming too much. Let out. You will think, you should have known better so that you can avoid the losing feeling. He may not be the one for you, but I hope you learned a lesson; that your heart is not meant to give to anybody who just settles for temporary happiness. Learn to value yourself so that you will be able to know what kind of people can love the mess that you are. But if the time continues and you can't still forget about him, I think it's time for you to think that he is someone you love but he isn't the one for you, as you're not the one for him. This is the most difficult part. Trying to accept what we don't want. Overthinking starts the moment you are trying for acceptance. You will always think of why were you not chosen when that person knows that you will choose him over many things. It's difficult to accept the fact that you're not someone for a lifetime for the person you keep choosing. That just hurts so bad. If only you have the guts to tell him one day, that he should have not approached you at first, that he should have not given you mixed signals and other things, then it wouldn't be this difficult. There will always be someone for us. But the question is, how many times do we need to fall and get hurt by different people before that person comes? Will he be able to recognize that you were the one meant for him? Or he's just like those other guys who thought of you as someone for temporary only? What I do really think is that the right person comes in the most unexpected moment of our life. When that time comes, learn from your mistakes. Do not give it all yet. Once he has proven himself to you then that's the time for you to shower him with all the love you could give because finally, after how many losses you have found someone who'll make you win. Love is a beautiful thing. What makes it ugly is when we don't get the same energy from the people we love. Nonetheless, Life's too short not to fall in love. Lead image from Google. Hello 👋
To my constant To my constant, I was glad you approached me first. I don't think we would know each other if you didn't because I am not the kind of person who approaches others just to make friends. I am grateful that you talked to me. It would've been too difficult if you were not good with words. Your humour got me first. I can't forget the first time my heart raced when I saw your smile. Your eyes twinkled like the stars in the sky, they were beautiful, I can't take my eyes off of you. I love the way how you put a smile on my face even just by the simplest joke you make. You were more than that. You always protect me like I'm a precious thing that melted my heart when someone wanted to crush my being but you stood behind me and scare away those people who were doing me bad. You have the warmest hug and I feel so secure in your embrace. I love to have your arms wrapped around me. You're giving me the comfort no one else could ever give aside from my father's. With you, I'm the happiest. I don't think I could ever express myself genuinely like this to other people. You do not judge and make fun of me. I can be me as you bring the best out of me. I am falling so deeply that I am afraid that you might stop showing me all these traits one day and will leave me heartbroken. I don't want the feeling of being left again and being blamed for why I was left. But you're assuring me that I will never be heartbroken if I let you enter my life. And so, I took the risk and I am glad that I did because I never thought that I could be this happy. You brought sunshine to me. I love how you call me beautiful when I keep on looking down on myself. With all my insecurities, you taught me to embrace it all and love myself because you told me you loved every part of me. You have no idea how many butterflies that brought to my system, a whole zoo of it. You love my cracked voice every time I sing for you. You love listening to me even though my voice is not that audible to listen to. So I believed you do really love every inch of me. I love you not because you love me. I love you because of all the things you do for me and what you make me feel. I am thankful for your existence. I never thought love could make me crazy and happy at the same time. I did not know what I did to deserve you. Every day I am missing you. The distance between us cannot stop me from loving you. If God permits, I want you for my whole life. I want to keep you until I get old to see how your hair turns grey and how we will be together after all the years. I can't wait to see you in the first daylight. I can imagine myself fighting with you because you came home late drunk at work and you pleading sorry. You're the only one I'd like to have my fair share of arguments in everything. Not with anyone else. I love you my constant. I love you in every universe ❤ Lead image from Unsplash. How's everyone! I'm back! Hoping to get back straight ❤ Thank you for reading 🥰
My future husband A popular saying goes, "Marriage involves three rings: the engagement ring, the wedding ring, and the suffering." If it is commonly felt that marriage is so difficult, why do most people wish to get married? Probably, the instinct to find a mate is inherent in human beings; and I am no exception. Somehow, I believe that there is someone out there who was made especially for me, and, once I find him, we will fall in love, and get married; and only then will I feel complete. So, how will I recognize my Mr. Right? What qualities should I be looking for? First of all, I am not looking for "Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome". Character is more important than looks. I cannot deny that I am attracted to good-looking boys, but marrying solely for physical attraction will probably lead to short-term pleasure but life-long regret. I have also noticed that handsome boys are often vain and arrogant, which I find most unattractive. One of the main things that I admire in a man is humility. Such a man will not boast about his wealth, intelligence, or achievements, but, instead appreciate other people's abilities and achievements. He will also readily admit when he has made a mistake. Such a man would be a joy to live with. Good communication is the key to any solid relationship, most of all, marriage. I would want my future husband to share his thoughts with me. I want to hear his dreams and share in his struggles. On the other hand, I will also need someone who will be ready to listen to me, and interested to know what is happening in my life. There should be no secrets between us. Life is full of challenges. We can expect to face failure as well as success; heartache as well as joy; boredom as well as excitement. So, the perfect husband should have a positive attitude and a good sense of humor. He should be witty and say things that make me laugh. The perfect husband would also be one who can see the silver lining behind every cloud, rather than focus on the flaws in every situation. With such a man, I will be encouraged to look at life more happily and positively. Above all other qualities, the perfect husband will be faithful. He must be someone who believes that marriage is made to last "till death do us part". He will be committed to our relationship, and willing to stay for the long haul, "in sickness and in health, for better or for worse"; as couples promise in the wedding vows. The perfect husband would not be distracted by other women; not even when I have lost my looks. He would be a "one woman man". In return, I will also promise my total loyalty and faithfulness to my future husband. Many other qualities make a man a perfect husband material. For example, one obvious quality would be the ability to provide; and, though it is not the most important quality, the physical attraction must be a part of the equation for a marriage to work well. However, while it is easy to make lists, finding a man to live up to them will be very difficult. Furthermore, instead of focusing on my requirements for the perfect husband, I think I should recognize my imperfections, and set about correcting them. As Barnett Brickner said, "Success in marriage does not come merely through finding the right mate, but through being the right mate." Lead image from Unsplash. Hi! It's me Noelle ❤
Most Traumatic Experience I had always been proud of myself for my sharp tongue and witty retorts whether in class debates or casual arguments. Thus, when I was selected to represent the school in the national debate series, I was naturally enormously confident of my readiness for the task. Little did I know that this would turn out to be one of the most important lessons in my life. The run-up to the finals was a breeze for my team. We were all good speakers who had the benefit of an experienced teacher who trained us well. But in the team, I was undoubtedly the most excellent speaker. In each of the rounds that I debated in, the judges unanimously selected me as the best speaker. This meant that my conviction was at an all-time high by the time we found ourselves with one week to train before the finals. I had no reason to even think that I would not be voted the overall best speaker for the debate series. Unfortunately, this meant that I began to get complacent about the whole business and started putting on airs with my teammates. I would scoff at what I saw as their pathetic rebuttals and poor debating style. I saw myself as the natural debater who would be let down by their bad performance. As the finals drew near, I became more and more discontented with my team. I began missing practices, much to the panic of my teammates and the frustration of my teacher. They had no choice but to rely on me to pull through on the day of the finals. Much as they would love to remove me from the team, they could not as there was no replacement good enough. The day of the finals dawned bright and fine. I practically skipped to the venue of the debate finals, feeling the rapture of being able to finally show off my debating prowess. But the reality was not something that I had ever imagined. My absence from the practices had created a fissure between my teammates and me. We could not seem to work seamlessly as we did in the previous rounds. Instead, our coordination was so bad that even our school supporters were shamed into silence. When it was my turn to conclude as the last speaker of the team, an expectant silence fell over the hall. Everyone knew that I was lauded as the one most likely to win the coveted overall best speaker for the series. As I launched into my speech, I knew that things were very wrong. I was hesitant in my **elucidation** of the issue, realizing too late that what I was saying sounded incoherent as it did not follow logically from my other team speakers' points. The puzzled looks on the faces of the judges almost drove me to tears. I had to struggle with my speech, trying to hold back the hot tears that threatened to overflow I saw immediately the stupidity and arrogance that I had been. I realized too late that I could have been a really good speaker if only I had not been overconfident. As I sat down after speaking my piece, tears broke their banks and scalded my cheeks. I knew that we had lost the title. Never before had I ever felt so alone, or so rightly so. Suddenly, a reassuring hand clasped mine. I looked up into the kindly face of my teammate, the one whom I had earlier condemned as a moron to her face. She gestured that it was all right and that I should not feel bad. That made me feel even worse. I felt like a scum that the tears now came unabashed. The other two teammates of mine came over and hugged me. Together, they hoped to stem my feelings of regret and pain even though I had rightfully deserved everything and more. I had cost them the title. I kept sobbing the word "sorry" to them, feeling even worse now that they had repaid my irresponsibility and **haughtiness** with their kind words and comforting gestures. Even my teacher came over to give me a tight squeeze on the shoulder to say that all was forgiven. When we were called to receive the prize for the first runner-up position, we went up together as a team and bravely lifted the trophy to salute the cheers of our supporters. I finally realized what it was like to be a team. Till today, I will never forget the trauma of defeat fashioned by my own hands or the sheer joy of knowing that I had support in my lowest moment. I went on to the next debate series and eventually clinched the title with the same team in the following year. I had learned that no man is an island by himself. Lead image from Unsplash. Dear my Lover's Lover Yesterday, I took off near the beach. I wander on the sandy soil under my feet. I feel stung by the heat of the sun so I decided to sit in a shade. I was in a deep slumber as far as I could remember before bringing myself here. I never felt this complete sadness before. I didn't imagine enjoying solitude when I was used to having someone with me all the time. This extreme sadness is slowly eating my flesh. I am more like a corpse floating in the crowd. Well, technically I've been dead. I died the moment my heart was shattered into bits and pieces. Will I ever be able to live again when it kills me multiple times to see the one I love, loving someone else? Jealousy is a very fatal disease. It kills me seeing him holding her hands, fumbling around her waist, kissing her, and I hate it more when I start imagining the things they do behind closed doors. Her beauty shouts perfection. How could I be at peace knowing how lucky he is to have such an angel? I know in myself that I was good enough for him but he's got the best. I don't know where should I place myself in this world when I always found myself beside him. I couldn't take my sight from the calming waves of the vast ocean because it contradicts what is inside my mind, it was full of chaos. Dear my Lover's Lover, *I hope it crosses your mind that you weren't the first one he love. Everything you did together, we already shared those.* *But I hate to think that maybe you're really that special enough to break us apart. My only wish is that you will never make him feel the way I'm feeling right now. Love him more than the love I gave to him.* *For the last time, I hope he remembers me, as someone who made him the happiest once in his life.* Lead image from Unsplash. Summer Love Summer had gone so fast. I didn't even get a hold of summer because it seemed like it flashed like a lightning. I wasn't able to enjoy the summer waves, road escapades, and all of my summer activities when I was younger. I bet it is all because of adulting. I have so many things to accomplish even during summer than soaking myself on the beach. When talking about summer, I also remembered my summer love. Do you have one too? I was so young back then that I could barely remember his face. But, I could remember that he is tall, slim, and has fair skin. I could remember him as someone funny and very talkative that he always talks about his favorite boy band, One Direction. I met him when I was about 15 years old. I was at my father's hometown somewhere in Mindanao for a summer vacation. My grandparent's place is near the beach then there's this boy who always goes to our house. He and my Lolo are very close. We were introduced to each other and he accompanies me to different parts of the town. We go fishing, boating, camping outside with my cousins, and playing online games. We got so close that I felt like I'm having a crush on him. I enjoyed the time I spent with him. I was so young to know what the sudden rush of my pulses whenever he looks at me or he gets closer to me meant. My heart flutters when he smiles because he had the most perfect smile I've ever seen. I feel butterflies in my stomach every time I hear him mention my name. I hated how time flies so fast. I was already enjoying the strange feeling I had for the guy I met on my vacation. During the last week of my stay at Lola's place, I received a message from him, confessing his feelings for me. I was flabbergasted that I rolled over my bed and fell on the floor which made my Lola run upstairs and check on me. We are feeling the same towards each other. I am so happy. The next day, we met on our rendezvous and made promises to each other. I remembered how that day went. It suddenly rained, it was like an opening for the coming of the rainy days. We hurried to the nearest kiosk and talked about the next summer. I remembered the emotions we had. The rain added sentiments to both of us. We are happy, excited, and sad. We promised each other that when I come back, he will officially court me. Well, I was too young to expect and assume that he would keep his promise. I was heartbroken when I saw his Facebook post with a girl which he captioned with a sweet quote. I could describe my summer love as warm, beautiful, and timely. It ended so soon just like how fast the rain fell on the first day of June. I thought there was another summer to come back with, but it will never be the same. I could portray my summer love just like the sunset. No matter how beautiful it is, it still signifies the ending. My summer love ended beautifully, remarkably, and painful. How about yours? Private Relationships What is it like to be in a private relationship? Before I often wonder what does it feel like to be hidden by someone. Hidden, in the sense that the other person wants to keep the relationship in privacy for peace of mind. Not because the other person is ashamed of having you in his life but just wants to keep you for himself. It's just that you are a secret that needs to be kept because both of you are at the wrong time. What does it feel like to be in a private relationship? All your photos and memories are kept only in the gallery with a privacy code to unlock. You wanted to tell the world, who is that person who makes you happy and loved but you just can't. You wanted to post every candid shot you have of him to show off that you have the best guy and how you are being treated so right, but once you do it, the world will go against it. Secret dates on rendezvous are special and always the best. You will feel the thrill and excitement of every place you will both go. Sometimes, you have to be behind closed doors so no one will ever see you. Everybody knows you but they do not know the thing between you. You can't go in public places because there might be someone who will get curious about why are you together. It will always be the place where only the two of you know where it is. The place where you can call your haven and love the person freely and no one judges. Sometimes, being in a private relationship, makes you feel less. You feel insecure about others being flexed by their beaus. You can't be the other person's profile picture on his social media accounts, you can't be tagged or mentioned in posts that your relationship can relate to. There will be doubts in a low-key relationship. When you are together in a public place may it be with friends or just the two of you, you act like just friends. You wanted to share one plate with him but people will wonder. You only take glances at him, so one notices and secretly checks on him without letting the others see. But, I think there will be no problem as long as both of you know the reason and you keep the consistency in the relationship. It will never be easy. You have to trust your partner that is only the key to keeping a private relationship. It's a good thing also, so people cannot meddle and both of you will keep each other peace of mind. So, whatever it is, just stay in love and that makes the love grow. The world may be against it, but both should be stronger to fight for love. I know it because I am in a private relationship. Even so, I am happy and contented. Lead image from Google. Hi! It's me, Noelle. I am sorry for being so inactive for the month of June. I will make it up to you all, guys 💖
How would you help a blind child see the world? Hello, everyone! I am very sorry for being inactive for days. I've been busy with something and gladly I was able to finish what needs to be done. Even so, I've been reading some articles here but, I wasn't able to leave some comments. Anyways, I am trying to cope with all the absences I've made. I remembered when I was in high school, I joined the school and inter-town pageants. Well, that was when my confidence was still high. I missed the feeling of walking on a runway with confidence on both of my shoulders. It was my mother who always pushes me to join such pageantries and my father doesn't like to because he is so conservative. He doesn't like pageants as wearing two-piece clothing and sexy costumes are inevitable. Bet you could tell, it was my dad the reason I stopped joining pageants. Aside from that, what I missed the most is building friendships with the other contestants. It's just funny how audiences think that girls in the pageant are silently bickering with each other but what they didn't know is that girls in the same pageant support each other. I am happy to see some of my competitors that became my friends still pursue the world of pageantry. I could've pursued modeling but I don't want to hear anything from my dad, saying something bad about my passion. So, probably I'm gonna save it for my next life. I have garnered awards and even been crowned several times. Well, in a competition it will not always be on your side. There are times that I win, there are also times that I'm just a placer. My favorite part of every competition I joined is not the runways, the pieces of jewelry, the swimsuit, not even the evening gown. It will always be the question and answer portion. I just liked the challenge, the thrill, and of course the questions that will be thrown to determine one's win. I remembered the final question I answered that got me the crown: How would you let a blind child see the world? The thought of my answer goes like this, We have 5 senses. One of the senses was taken from the child. In able for one to see the beauty of the world is with the use of our sense of sight. For a blind child to see the world, I will use the other senses. I will let the child hear how music can make the world go round. How colorful can it be with its lyrics and tunes, also the loud sounds that make the world disturbed and unrest? I will let the child smell the fragrance of the flowers in the garden to see the lovely side and somehow let the child smell the unpleasant things in the world and tell him that the world isn't perfect. I will let the child taste the sweetness and tasty foods, for him to taste the world is like your favorite dish, you just can't get enough, and the bitterness and sourness of food, for him to taste that life will not be always sweet. I will let the child touch the smoothest and softest things to make him feel that life is comfortable to live with, and also, make him touch the rough surfaces to make him realize that the life we have in this world has rocky and bumpy roads. Life may be imperfect in this world but there are still many reasons that life is worth living. Thank you :) Lead image from Google. Hi! It's me, Noelle. Please Like and Subscribe :)
Shark in Disguise June 23, 2021 Entry #9 Is there a time in your life when you've almost given up? How about those times when adversity knocks you down? Do you still get up on the inside? Do you blame people, circumstances, or even God when something miserable happens to you? More often than not, when adversity knocks us down, we prefer to be alone and sit in one corner crying in self-pity and asking, "What is happening to me?" We start to think of people, things, and situations that we can blame for why such misfortunes are happening to us. We need to understand that no matter how successful we are in life, we all face struggles, problems, and, sometimes, major adversities. Since we live in an imperfect world, we are prone to having some circumstances that come against our will. These are situations, like a student being bullied in school, a mother who lost her baby, a father who met a car accident, a wife betrayed by her husband, or perhaps you received a bad report from your doctor about a serious illness. We have the choice to refuse those negative words that will poison our hearts and minds. As Eleanor Roosevelt said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." If there's one person who should be upset, lonely, and depressed, it should be the American surfer Bethany Hamilton, much known as the "soul surfer." However, instead of feeling beaten up, she did just the opposite. This was a story about Bethany 2003, who was only 13 years old, who went out with her best friend to go surfing. Her friend's father and brother join them as well. While enjoyably lying on her surfboard, out of nowhere, a 15-foot shark suddenly attacked her and devoured her left arm. Yes, the shark ate up almost the whole of Bethany's left arm, leaving just the part from below her armpit. It took 20 minutes to paddle Bethany back to the beach. She had already lost about 60% of her blood when she was brought to the hospital. She stayed there for a week for a full recovery. As for Bethany, she got frustrated for she knew surfing with just one arm would never be an easy task. How can she surf without her left arm? Imagine yourself surfing without your left arm. She was traumatized by the tragic incident, but the trauma didn't hinder her from moving on and getting back on her feet. She decided not to let her traumatic experience rule over her life. In less than a year, she returned to her passion—surfing. No matter how difficult she went through, she stayed standing up on the inside! It took her great courage! With great determination, she went back to surfing and learned the water sport with just one arm. From then on, life was like just how she used to spend it with both her arms. Her story started to inspire many people all over the world. Her life story was shown through a movie entitled Soul Surfer. Instead of sitting in self-pity mourning about what she had lost, Bethany was even encouraged and strengthened that the adversity turned out to be a great blessing. She wholeheartedly accepted her fate. She never had any grudge against anybody else. Above all, she never questioned God. Are you going through a difficult and dark time in your life? Perhaps someone spread bad rumors about you, mistreated you, beat you physically and emotionally, you lost your ability to walk, or lost something Of value to you. Never let that put you down! Get up on the inside and put your armor back! Instead of blaming people or even God for what happened to you, stay in an attitude of faith amid your adversity. Don't wallow in self-pity! Instead, focus on the purpose of your adversity in advancing to what God intended you to be! Instead of being weary and worn down, be encouraged by Bethany Hamilton who, after being beaten by a shark and swallowed her entire left arm, remained in faith and became the source of inspiration to others. No matter how many times you get beaten down, keep standing on the inside and strengthen your faith. Be determined to unleash the highest potential God intended you to be! Problems are not stopped signs, they are guidelines. - Robert Schuller Lead image from Google. Hi, it's me, Noelle. Please Like and Subscribe 😊 Thank you!
Being in a Relationship pt. 2 This is is the continuation of the article I posted "Being in a relationship". Click the link if you want to read the first part. https://read.cash/@Noelle_Writes/being-in-a-relationship-0aa57c48 Unhealthy love is when two people expect each other to solve the others' problems. Healthy love is when two people acknowledge and address their problems with each other's support. The time when I have become single, I always thought to myself that I should choose someone who will never leave me alone when I'm at my lowest. Someone who will stand by my side just to show support. I am truly blessed to have met someone who helps me in all of my troubles and weariness. He also shares with me his worries so I don't have to ask him if he's okay in that way, I could find a way on my own to help a bit with his problems. The best thing ever in a relationship is that you don't have to worry about anything. No cheating, no lying, and no secrets. Find someone who doesn't give you the reason to doubt. Someone who doesn't give you reasons to get jealous. Fighting over petty things such as getting jealous of a colleague could be the start of continuous fights in the relationship. That is so not good. It could be the ice that will bring coldness to the relationship. Don't ever tolerate any form of abuse in the name of love. If your partner raises his/her hand to you and lands on your skin that is already a red flag. Leave the person if you cannot talk it out with him/her. It will never be the last that he/she will do it for you. It could be that the person would think that you will accept him/her even though you were already abused. You are not only physically abused but also emotionally. So, be aware of that. No two minds are molded the same. Don't try to change that person into what you think is ideal for your convenience. If the person loves you, they will change on their own or it could either be, that they will accept the way you are without telling you to change. Let the person grow and love them as the person they are. Surprises, gifts, forehead kisses, and romance are important in a relationship. It doesn't have to happen every day but often, let your partner feel that they are special to you. Giving them material gifts can help you show it or be constant with how you treat them from the start. Keeping the romance in the relationship can make the relationship grow lovelier and healthier. When you love someone and someone loves you, you should never have doubts. You need to trust your partner and you have to make yourself worthy of trust as well. Trust is something that you need to earn. Show that you are worth testing and your partner will not have any reason to doubt your relationship. Remember once you're in a relationship, you hold someone's heart in your hands. You need to always care for it and be careful not to break it. A fragile heart is easy to break and will never be whole again. Try not to be that someone who will cause his/her trauma by breaking his/her heart. This helped me a lot in growing my relationship with my person. I hope this will help you too. For singles out there, this will help you too, save it for the future 😁 Lead image from Google. My Birthday Message to the one I love *To my favorite person,* I have never met anyone who treated me so special in such a way that I felt I am so loved and cared for. Someone who looked at me like I'm the most precious thing they could ever have in their life. The kind of look that is tattooed in my mind. You have given it to me. You were just a friend turned lover, and I got no idea that you would be this important in my life. Other guys came before you in my life, but I never loved them the way I love you right now. You are one of the biggest plot twists in my life this year and I am hoping for more this year (I'm claiming this year to be mine mwehehe). You were at my 23rd and now I'm at your 24th. I hope 24 treats you right. May it be a better year for you. I badly wanted to spend this special day with you, but someday soon, I hope we'll still be together spending the special days in our lives. Please be reminded that I am always at your side no matter what you go through you can always come to me. No matter how many fights, arguments, and disagreements well go through, I will always stay because, at the end of the day, it's still you that I want in my life. My love for you is incomparable to the times I get mad at you. Happy birthday, I love you so much that I cannot even explain why am I so in love with you. You fell for me first, now I fell so hard for you. I don't know when, how, and why, I just realized that it's you I want for the rest of my life. I've known you since childhood and there's nothing to hide between us two. Maybe, if I had known your feelings about me, I would've loved you since our younger years. But, I think God has planned a better time for us. Our relationship might be different from others, but ours is still the best for me 💞 I am so proud of you that I want to tell the world that you are mine, if only I could, I would do it in a heartbeat. Someday, I'm gonna make all of you proud of me too. You do not know how much you give impacted my life, how much you inspired me, and how much you bring out the best in me. Everything is better with you, Everything has been better since you. I wonder how you can easily make my day just by thinking of you, my heart flutters, and butterflies fly around me like a whole zoo of it. I am so lucky to have you in my life. Not only that you're so fine and handsome, sexy, smile, and every inch of you. I know I'm deeply in love with you because when we aren't talking, I just think of you and smile constantly. I miss you, I miss the feeling of your lips on mine. I miss holding your hands and I miss hearing your voice. Happy Birthday, my love 💖 I love you so much 💞
Why Him? June 20, 2022 Entry #7 Whenever I talked about him with a few people I trust, they always have the question, Why him? Like, they would tell me that many men showed interest in me and that are somehow could be a good catch, but why did I still choose him. I just remain silent every time I hear them asking the question over and over again because I think there's no specific answer for that. I would just simply say because I love him. But, I cannot see their satisfaction from them with my answer. Now that I have thought of it, I can name a few why I choose him. I choose him because he never said I looked more beautiful if I wear makeup. He always compliments my just-woke-up look and says I am beautiful with my messy hair. I wonder if he just says that so I will not feel bad but I think his words are true because he's been doing that for the longest time. I choose him because he never tells me to wear sexy clothes and high heels just to look presentable to other people. He always likes it when I wear the clothes I'm comfortable wearing and he never fails to give kind comments about whatever my get-up is. He truly knows how to bring butterflies in me and that makes my heart somersault. I choose him because he supports me with all the things I do. If it's something that he doesn't like, he will help me decide if I am doing the right thing or not. He doesn't tolerate my wrongdoings as well. I loping self-discipline with him. I liked that being with him helps me grow as a person. I choose him because he loves his mother more than anyone else in the world. I was told by someone that one should choose someone who loves his family, especially his mother because you will be able to see how you will be treated by the person. And I can see that I am in good hands. It's just very sad that she passed away so early. She should've seen how wonderful he had become right now. I've seen how badly hurt he was when she died. I choose him because despite that he is not my first love but it feels like he was. It was him who first made me feel like I'm very special. It's the love I've never felt from anyone else before. The kind of love that treats me right and the kind of love that I don't like to end. I've never felt so many butterflies in my system before. I'd never gotten so much love until he came. It makes me feel not to feel love if it's not him. There are countless reasons why I choose him. It's not like every day I love him the way I love him so much like today because of disagreements and petty fights, but I will choose him every day in this lifetime. Hi, it's me, Noelle. Happy Fathers' Day June 19, 2022 Entry #6 Fathers are daughters' first love. They were the first ones to show them love, care, and affection. They are also every son's first companion. Indeed they are angels in the form of our father. Fathers' Day should not just be celebrated today. It means that every day is their day. With all of their hard work and effort just to send their children to school, provide for the family and give quality time after a tiring day at work. My father and I have a love-hate relationship. I am the best photocopy of his face but we disagree on many things. Despite that, he is still my best protector. I have been single for 22 years of my life because he doesn't want boys to interfere with my studies. Now, that I'm 23, I am still finding the right time to tell him that I already have someone. For sure he will reprimand me but I know he will understand and support my happiness. I have learned a lot from him and he is truly an inspiration to me. He taught me things that cannot be learned in school. I remembered how good is my dad in Mathematics and how much I hated that subject. Every time we had assignments in math in high school that I don't understand, he was always my go-to person. The amazing fact is that he had a lot of tricks and shortcuts to solving equations. My teachers would be surprised at how was I able to come up with the correct answer using a strange method (because it's not in the book). I wonder sometimes, why did I only get his looks but not his mathematical skills. It should've been his brain that I got rather than his Japanese-looking face, I should've been an engineer like him. Hahaha... Not only gentlemen who are responsible enough as a father are worthy of this day, but also those mothers who stood as a mother and a father to their children, in short, single mothers. They deserve to be praised and given appreciation for their dual responsibility. It is not easy being the one who supports the needs of the family as well as the one who takes care of the children and does all the chores. I can't imagine living life like that, it amazes me to see mothers being a father also in the family. Weekend Warriors June 18, 2022 Entry #5 Today is Saturday and it is not the usual start of the weekend for me. Summer vacation just started and I will be off from Saturday duty until the end of July. That means I can finally go home and rest. Finally! I will be back only when classes start in August. Last night I had a blast with my colleagues. We had a few shots and we spent the night karaoke. I was glad that I wasn't drunk just a little bit tipsy because I should've been suffering from a severe headache the moment I woke up. I decided to leave on Sunday. As I checked my laundry basket and was shocked to see a mountain of dirty clothes. There's no one else to blame but me hahaha. If only I washed some of those last week, I wouldn't be troubling looking at a big pile of my dirty clothes. Being a weekend warrior is a bad habit. The reason why I was not able to wash my clothes last week was that I got lazy in doing some chores and decided to do it the next day until it piled up on next week. A weekend warrior is someone who does all the chores that could've been done on some other days, but, the "I-could-do-it on weekends" mentality makes the weekend very tight on doing all the chores. The weekend is supposed to be spent relaxing or having a trip with family or friends but instead, you will be staying home to do all the piled chores. There are times when I avoid being a weekend warrior but most of the time, I spent the weekends overworking myself by doing all the chores I did not do on the other days. I admit that I lack time management and organizing skills. Managing time and organizing things well is very important for a person to develop and grow productively. I wanted to be productive but because of my work on weekdays, I feel tired and lazy to do some chores so they end up piling up on the weekends. It is very demotivating to look at the huge piles of chores to do on weekends but I got no choice since I live away from home and there's no one else I could call to do it for me. I hope this will be the last time that I made myself a weekend warrior. I badly want to spend the weekends with friends, family or just by myself relaxing. There should be at least two days that we can take a rest after a long week at work or school. Let us all be fighters and warriors. Just not on the weekends. So, are you a weekend warrior too? Things that turned me on when it comes to a guy June 17, 2022 **Entry # 4** I have been single for a long time before I have this relationship. People would say that I am choosy and make a lot of fuss with every guy I meet. They make assumptions that I have very high standards towards men. Well, Practically that's true but, it's not as high as what others think. There are certain things that a guy can do that turn me on. 1. The Clean and Organized Guy Who wouldn't like a guy having clean-cut, proper grooming, and dressing well? I had seen my boyfriend before when he was younger since we grow up together. He was that shabby kid who wears loose garments that don't make him cute and clean at all. I remembered refusing to play with him as dried snots are all over his face and his dirty clothes. I was shocked to see him after his training all clean and well-groomed. Probably maturity hit him real hard. 2. Photographer is a good shot. When we had our very first date, I discovered something about him. He is so good at taking pictures. I asked how did he learn taking good shots but he just told me it depends on the subject (aweee). He took a lot of stolen shots of me that turns out very nice. I never imagined I would date someone good at photography because I just think of it while watching some people on social media taking poses while their boyfriends are taking the pictures, isn't it very sweet. 3. A band fanatic. I'm a high fan of bands. So, mostly I enjoy listening to the songs of Rivermaya, Eraserheads, Agsunta, December Avenue, and other international bands. And yes, we jam to the same music because he's a huge fan of bands too. Now, I'm starting to think, are we meant for each other? Haha. 4. Books and beer. It may not be a good combination but I love both of them. I want someone who loves to read the book and listen to all my favorite quotations from my favorite books and someone whom I can drink beer with. I like beer because its bitter taste makes me feel relaxed. And to tell you all, he's my library buddy and beer buddy as well hehe... 5. Clear vision of the future. I have poor eyesight, so I prefer a guy with a hundred percent vision of the future. Haha. I'm a blurry type of person so I need a man who knew his plans well. Well, I have mine 😉 6. Foods only. Instead of buying me flowers and chocolates, I'd appreciate it more, if someone will take me out for a food trip. It's not about extravagance, it's about the person who I'm with. So it's not a problem if it's just a street food date, It is still romantic for me. 7. Accepts my poetry. I love poetry, but I will never ask my man to write me poems. My person loves me to send him my creation. And even when not asked, I send him randomly and he never gets annoyed. That made me so in love 💖 8. Loves his mother. I'm attracted to guys who are very caring to their mothers. My boyfriend just lost his mom last year. I remembered, we were not yet together at that tie, just friends and former classmates but I was with him during that time. I witnessed how hard it was for him to go on training and lose his mom. 9. Random weirdness. This one is just a recent characteristic I discovered that can turn me on. Like, the more random a person is, the more I get turned on. He is so unpredictable and it satisfies me and makes me fall harder for a man like him. I have found someone who makes my heart flutter as no one else could do. I hope you all find yours too. What if one day? June 16, 2022 Entry #3 Love, you told me I am part of your universe. That if a multiverse exists, I am still a part of it. You don't know how much it means to me to hear those words. You told me, I am all you could think of to every love song you hear. You showed me a playlist and I listened to it and I figured out how deep is your love for me. You chose specific songs that describe how much I mean to you. I am grateful to have someone like you, to love me beyond expectations. Love, what if one day, you will realize that I wasn't the one? That, you only love me because I came first and now that you have found someone better, you will leave me like you never looked at me with love and care. What if one day, you will wake up and tell me that we need to slow things down as you have felt so much love and think that it is not good for both of us for we might end up hurting each other. You will no longer send me messages that bring butterflies to my stomach and updates that I never even asked from you. You will no longer kiss me in the middle of our argument and you will no longer tame me after a fight. I'm gonna miss that surely. What if one day, you will no longer hold my hand while we walk along the street or when we are with friends. You will drop my hand like it's a hanky you used to wipe your wet hands. You will never check me out because you are having so much fun with friends and gets drunk heavily because you no longer think of driving me home. I don't think I could be able to bear that, Love. Thinking about all of that brings melancholy to me. I loved you too much that I don't want us to end. I loved you too much that I don't want you to change any single detail you do for me. I am already used to having you in my life and I cannot imagine even a day spent without you. You won't allow that, right? Love, I hope you will keep your promise that you will never let go of my hand. Promise that you will never remove your stare at me. Promise that you will never wipe away my kisses and you will always reciprocate every hug I give you. I want to thank you that until this day, since the day I became yours, none of those what if's happened. I never had a hard time overthinking about you falling out of love with me. You never give me any reasons to doubt you and reasons to get jealous. You made me a part of your universe, and I will make myself worthy of it. I love you. Lead image from Google. Hi! Being in a Relationship June 15, 2022 Entry #2 To be honest, I could say that I am overwhelmed with my current status; in a relationship. For a long time that I have been single, it made me doubt and overthink what if everything is just a trial card, then I'll be that person I was a few years back. To all who are in a relationship, you all know the struggle and problems encountered in the relationship. What I realized in my 2-month relationship (I know it's too early to have such realizations) is that being in a mature relationship is a whole lot different story. We could all be in a relationship but it's different when it's well-refined. Saying nice things to your partner is not difficult. Like, saying, "You did a great job!", " I'm so proud of you!", or even saying "I love you". These words can make someone's heart flutter. I always say nice words to him every chance I take. I can feel that he likes it every time I recognize the things he does even the simplest ones. Communication is a very important tool in a relationship. Learn to listen and ask because mind-reading in a relationship doesn't help at all. In my previous relationships, miscommunication is always a problem. It's either I am the one who doesn't open up my feeling or the other person. Now, that I have learned that, as much as possible, I want to be open with my feelings. When I don't like something, I tell it to him as he does too to me, and we discuss things to cope with each other. Giving cold treatment to the other person just because you don't like the thing he does will not help your relationship grow. Always make time for each other. If you're busy, send short text messages to inform him/her. It is very important. I feel lucky because my person updates me on his own. He doesn't wait for me to ask him. No matter how busy he is on his duty, he makes sure to let me know what's he up to. Of course, I do the same to him. Embrace the good and try to fix the bad in the relationship. No one is perfect. Misunderstandings are inevitable. I admit, though we just started, we had disagreements but none of those were left unexplained. I think he is just too careful with our relationship that he chooses always to be calm and give each other a chance to say our sides and afterward weigh things which are good and not. ... To be continued. Lead image from Google. Hi! It's me Noelle, a newbie. Please like and Subscribe. Thank you!
Be A Pusher **June 14, 2022** Entry #1 "Be a pusher." These words seem to have a negative connotation, right? But on a second thought, is it really negative? Maybe it's about time for us to see the positive aspect of being a pusher! Was there a time in your life when you felt irritated each time your parents pushed you to do something? Have you ever felt so annoyed towards them? Say, they insisted that you attend the guitar, ballet, or voice lessons? How about those weekends when you all wished for was to sleep all morning, and then your mother would come in, wake you up so early for an errand or family gatherings you don't have any interests to attend to? Have you encountered a seemingly perfectionist boss who does not want you to submit a report that is not well done? How about spending sleepless nights just to finish an assignment only to be told, "Repeat!" Or how how about your boss asking you to practice a presentation, but you need to practice it over and over again until it becomes a permanent part of you. Sometimes, you found yourself doing something you dislike or a task that you find difficulty because you believe that you don't have the skill to do it, but your boss says, "Just put your heart into it, and believe that you can do it." (Difficult, right?) He tells you that you've got what it takes. Don't say you can't! Then, one day you made it! He'd say, "Very good! Amazing! Excellent work!" In some instances, there are parents who keep on prodding you. You told yourself, "A passing grade is all I can give." But your parents told you, "You can be an honor student!" They encouraged, told you that you were smart, believed in your capability, and challenged you to reach for new heights. Then you become inspired and studied well, achieved something you never imagined. Isn't it amazing? We only realize the importance of their push when we already reap the benefits in our lives! Looking back, most likely you'll find someone who played a pivotal role in pushing you to get you to where you are today. Maybe your parents, your teacher, your boss, your spouse, or a friend who tells you that you can do it! They helped you go to the next level. You are who and what you are now because somebody pushed you. If there were people who took time and made difference in your life and instilled confidence in you, maybe it's about time to return the favor by doing it to others. If you want to have a better life, don't focus on how you can make your own life better. Think of ways and means on how you can improve somebody else's life, as well. Don't be contented that you are the only one who can soar in the journey of life while others are living like chickens. Remember, more often, we can see potential in other people that they cannot see themselves. The push - sometimes we need it. Sometimes we need to give it. It can be the greatest gift you ever give. It will change a life forever. I hope I may have pushed someone today! Hello everyone, My name's Noelle and I am a newbie :) let us push each other towards our goals :) Lead image from Google.
