IT'S 2026. THERE SHOULD BE NO ROOM FOR RACISM ON NATIONAL TELEVISION‼️‼️‼️ I have always admired Vice Ganda I admire her courage to speak on social issues. I admire how she calls out injustice, challenges abusive politicians, and uses her platform to amplify the voices of marginalized communities. She has inspired millions to think beyond themselves. That is exactly why Meme, deserves to be called out. When Johaira entered It's Showtime through Sexy Babe Segment, Vice Ganda recognized what many people failed to see. She saw talent. She saw personality. She saw potential. She helped introduce Johaira to the Filipino public and became one of the people who opened doors for her career. When Baby Dolls was formed, I was genuinely happy. Finally, a Black Filipina was part of a P-pop group being showcased on national television. It felt like progress. It felt like representation. It felt like a reminder that beauty is not defined by having fair skin. But representation loses its meaning when the very platform that celebrates diversity also becomes the platform where racial jokes are made. THIS IS WHERE WE SHOULD DRAW THE LINE. We cannot preach equality while laughing at jokes that reinforce racial stereotypes. We cannot condemn discrimination in one space while excusing it in another. We cannot demand accountability from politicians yet stay silent when celebrities make harmful remarks. Our standards cannot depend on who the person is. If we expect elected officials to be responsible with their words because they influence the public, then we should expect the same from television personalities who enter millions of Filipino homes every single day. Being progressive is not selective. You cannot advocate for equality and then dismiss racist humor as "just a joke." You cannot fight discrimination while contributing to it. You cannot ask people to be socially aware while refusing to examine your own words. Racist jokes are still racist, even when there was no malicious intent. Intent does not erase impact. People often say, "Vice Ganda didn't mean it." Maybe. But conversations about racism should not end with intent. They should begin with impact. If a joke reinforces stereotypes, humiliates someone because of race, body shape or normalizes prejudice, then people have every right to question it. Calling that out is not cancel culture. It is ACCOUNTABILITY. And accountability should never be reserved only for politicians. It should apply to everyone with influence. Including our favorite celebrities. I still admire Vice Ganda's voice on politics, democracy, and human rights. But admiration should never mean blind loyalty. Supporting someone also means expecting them to do better. The people we respect the most should be the ones we hold to the highest standards. Because if we only call out people we already dislike, then this was never about principles. It was only about preference. It's 2026. National television should reflect the inclusive society we aspire to build, not normalize jokes rooted in race, especially that there are young viewers. We can appreciate Vice Ganda's contributions while also saying, clearly and unapologetically: THIS WAS WRONG. And yes. She needs to be called out.

We have to understand that what happened in the ancestral land of the Aeta people in Subic, where the LGU carelessly dumped toxic waste in their domain, is that it is not an isolated incident but a material and historical pattern that have been perpetually reinforced throughout the decades. Now, it has become deeply embedded within our society that it is a norm for politicians to neglect their rights because historical patterns will prove that they can enforce their power without much consequences. We have large mining corporations and politicians who used state forces to oppress and arrest indigenous people or locals whenever they resists against their interests. These entities will not think twice to call police officers to threaten locals. Another important thing for us to understand is that for the locals of these areas, they are not simply fighting for "land". We have to remember that for the locals or IPs, their whole culture, their belief system, and their entire identity is derived from their relationship with their land. This is why when they fight back against politicians or mining corporations what they are truly fighting for is their lives, their culture, and their identity because that's what they inherited from their ancestors.

One of the best financial decisions I've made is opening a PAG-IBIG MP2 account. This August, my MP2 savings will officially turn 1 years old, and I'm glad I started when I did. I may not be investing huge amounts every month, but watching my savings grow through compounding interest reminds me that consistency matters more than starting big. It's a simple and low-risk way to let your money work for you while building a habit of saving. If you're looking for a place to grow your extra savings, MP2 is definitely worth considering. Your future self will thank you for starting today. 💰📈

The art of not being ready and doing it anyway will take you so far. Most opportunities don’t wait for confidence. They arrive while you’re still doubting, still learning, still wondering if you’re enough. You don’t have to feel ready to begin. Sometimes, showing up is what makes you ready.

Life is a lot like a garden. Every thought you hold onto, every relationship you keep, and every habit you practice is like planting a seed. Some seeds grow into peace, joy, and love. Others grow into fear, anger, and self-doubt. You can't control everything that happens to you, but you can choose what you continue to feed. Not everyone deserves a place in your garden. It's okay to let go of the things that don't help you grow. Making space for better things isn't selfish, it's how you protect your heart. So choose carefully. Your garden won't bloom overnight, but if you keep caring for it with love and patience, one day you'll look around and realize you've created a life that's beautiful, peaceful, and truly your own. At the end of the day, it's your garden, and you have the beautiful privilege of choosing what grows there.

Gambling should never be normalized, especially when it's promoted by influencers or celebrities with millions of followers. When public figures like Ivana Alawi endorse gambling platforms, it's easy for fans—especially younger audiences—to become curious and think it's just harmless fun. But the reality is very different. Yes, there are real winners, but what we don't see are the countless people who lose their savings, fall into debt, and struggle with gambling addiction. These campaigns are designed to attract new users because gambling companies profit when more people keep playing. I'm not judging anyone who joins giveaways, but we should be more aware of the bigger picture. No amount of prizes or flashy promotions is worth encouraging an industry that has caused financial and emotional harm to so many people. We don't support the promotion of gambling. Entertainment and influence come with responsibility, and I hope more public figures choose partnerships that uplift people instead of encouraging habits that can ruin lives. Let's normalize making responsible choices, not gambling.

Eating Alone, Not Feeling Lonely 🍽️ There was a time when eating alone felt awkward. Now, it's one of my favorite ways to slow down. No rushing, no distractions—just good food and a little time to myself. Being alone doesn't always mean being lonely. Sometimes, it's simply giving yourself the space to enjoy the little things, one bite at a time. ❤️

Simple Meals, Big Comfort 🍝❤️ There's something special about coming home to a meal made by someone who cares about you. Last Sunday, my sister spaghetti for me using purefood canned spaghetti sauce and she topped it with a little with of cheese. It may be simple recipe, but it turned out delicious and comforting. *This was the canned spaghetti sauce she used* Sometimes, you don't need fancy ingredients or hours in the kitchen to make a satisfying meal. A good canned sauce, perfectly cooked pasta, and a sprinkle of cheese can go a long way, specially when it's made with love. Thank you sis, for making my day a little bit brighter, one spaghetti at a time.

“May bisyo ka ba?” “Wala.

🧬 Chinese researchers have reported a promising breakthrough that could reshape the future of type 2 diabetes treatment. Doctors at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital treated a patient with an experimental stem cell-based therapy in July 2021. By growing insulin-producing cells from the patient’s own tissue and transplanting them back into the body, researchers were able to restore pancreatic islet function. Within 11 weeks, the patient no longer required insulin injections, and over the following year gradually stopped taking oral diabetes medications. More than 33 months later, the patient has remained free of insulin therapy. Scientists say the results represent a significant advance in regenerative medicine, though larger clinical trials are still needed to confirm whether the treatment is safe and effective for more people. The development is especially important given the global burden of diabetes. China alone has around 140 million people living with the condition, making it one of the countries most affected by the disease. The announcement has also renewed debate over insulin affordability, particularly in the United States, where insulin costs have been the focus of years of public criticism, lawsuits, and policy reforms. Although recent legislation and manufacturer price reductions have lowered costs for many patients, access and affordability remain ongoing concerns for millions. If future studies confirm that this type of cell therapy can be widely used, it could dramatically reduce the need for lifelong insulin treatment for some people with type 2 diabetes. However, experts caution that the therapy is still experimental and is not yet considered a widely available cure. 📚 Sources: Published clinical research, statements from the research team at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, expert commentary from the University of British Columbia, and reporting by major international news outlets.

Six years ago, an ordinary citizen, a public school teacher at that, was legally pursued for making a TOTALLY unrealistic, 50-million-peso threat against then President Duterte--a threat he had ZERO practical capacity to fulfill. Fast forward today, and the public discourse is divided over whether a sitting Vice President-- another Duterte, a high-ranking official with actual access to power and resources to actually execute such rhetoric--should face consequences for explicitly threatening the lives of the President, First Lady, and the Speaker of the House. When the law heavily penalizes the powerless for empty words but hesitates to hold the powerful accountable for viable threats, it signals a troubling double standard in our legal and democratic frameworks. True rule of law requires accountability to be scaled proportional to one's power, not diminish or be shielded because of it.

@re-joyce

Impeachment is not persecution when the Constitution itself provides the process. Due process is not a costume you wear only when convenient. It is a room you enter even when the lights are harsh, the questions are sharp, and the excuses are finally useless.

Failure has a way of making us feel small. It whispers that we were not good enough, not smart enough, or not capable enough. It convinces us to hide our mistakes and pretend they never happened because we are afraid of what others might think. But the truth is, failure is often proof that you had the courage to step into the unknown. The people who never fail are usually the ones who never risk anything. They never chase the dream that scares them, never speak the words they are afraid to say, and never give themselves the chance to discover what they are truly capable of. You did. You showed up with hope in your hands and gave something your all. Maybe it did not work out this time. Maybe your plans fell apart or your expectations were left unmet. But none of that erases the bravery it took to try in the first place. One day, the weight of those disappointments will no longer feel like a burden. They will become reminders of the battles you fought, the lessons you learned, and the strength you built when life asked you to begin again. So if failure visits you once more, do not wear it as shame. Wear it as evidence that you refused to let fear decide your future. Tell me, what is one setback that eventually made you a stronger person than success ever could? Because in the end, it is not the absence of failure that shapes a meaningful life. It is the quiet courage to keep planting seeds, trusting that one day, they will bloom.

@re-joyce

To live for the hope of it all is to believe that there are still so many things to look forward to. There is still laughter to share, sunsets to watch, and people to meet who will bring light into your life. It is trusting that there are blessings waiting on the other side of your pain and that the chapters ahead may hold healing, peace, and joy beyond what you can imagine right now. So hold on a little longer. Keep planting seeds of faith, even when you cannot see the harvest. Keep taking small steps, even when the road feels long. Live for the possibility that tomorrow can be kinder than today. Live for the chance that your heart will heal, your dreams will bloom again, and your story will inspire someone else to keep going. Because sometimes, the most courageous thing you can do is to live for the hope of it all and trust that beautiful things are still on their way to you.

@re-joyce

The lotus does not wait for clean water to bloom; it blooms where it is planted. It does not spend its days wishing for a better pond, clearer waters, or easier conditions. It grows anyway. Rooted in mud and surrounded by murky water, it slowly reaches toward the surface until one day it blooms. Many people postpone their lives in the same way. They tell themselves they will start once things are better. Once they have more money, more confidence, more certainty, or fewer problems. But life rarely becomes perfect before growth begins. The lotus teaches a different lesson. You do not need ideal circumstances to become who you are meant to be. Growth does not start when everything around you is finally in order. It starts the moment you choose to grow despite where you are. Because some of the most beautiful things in life are not created in perfect conditions. They are created by people who bloom where they were planted.

@re-joyce

It's surprisingly easy to dislike someone you've never truly met. A few words from someone else. A rumor passed around. A story told from one perspective. Before you know it, you've already formed an opinion about a person you've never given the chance to speak for themselves. But every story has more than one side. People are far more complex than the labels placed on them. Someone else's bad experience does not automatically become your truth. Someone's mistake does not define their entire character. And sometimes, the kindest people carry the heaviest misunderstandings because no one ever took the time to know them personally. The people who have changed my life the most were often the ones others warned me about. Not because everyone else was wrong, but because I learned that human beings cannot be fully understood through secondhand opinions. We all want to be seen for who we truly are, not for what someone else said about us. So offer people the same chance you hope the world would give you. Listen before you judge. Observe before you assume. Let your own experiences shape your perspective instead of borrowing someone else's. Not everyone you meet will become a part of your life, and that's okay. But everyone deserves the dignity of being known before they are judged. Have you ever met someone who turned out to be completely different from what others told you? Sometimes the greatest act of kindness is giving someone the opportunity to introduce themselves before the world introduces them for you.

FACTS ABOUT THE WORKPLACE. 1. Your boss is not your friend. Regardless of how close you both are. learn to set PROFESSIONAL boundaries. 2. Walls have ears. Be careful who you confide in at work. A listening ear could also be a flippant mouth. 3. Your employer is now concerned about RESULTS. How you get the JOB done is up to you. No excuses. 4. There is always that one person/group of persons feeding the boss with happenings in the office. Some employees brief go beyond the official (except in work cultures where such act is expressly frowned upon). Be guided 5. When you get withdrawn from PROJECTS or someone is asked to understudy you or you get demoted without cogent reason(s), that may be a cue you'd soon be shown the exit door. 6. As much as you can, keep your private life away from COLLEAGUES. You might be under INVESTIGATION for achieving some personal great feat without you even knowing. 7. Somebody your colleagues may not even like you, it could be the way you LOOK, DRESS, SPEAK, vour capabilities, accomplishments at work, your aura or for some weird reasons and that is fine. Everybody cannot like you, so accept that. 8. Pay attention to body language, tone, pitch and pace of voice from your team members, colleagues or your boss. They may provide important cues to what isn't expressly said. Studies have shown that emotions,likes and dislikes are communicated via 38% para- verbal and 55% non verbal. Only 7% are communicated via verbal communication, 9. There will always be that " exceptional colleague" who gets the job done, gets the recognition and praises. Don't let that feeling of DISDAIN or inadequacy set in. See what that person is doing differently, how they do it and learn. You'll become a better person. Be open to LEARNING. 10. While the workplace should foster POSITIVE VALUABLE RELATIONSHIPS, your primary aim is to get the job done and go home. Don't forget that.

@re-joyce

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆? 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 No matter what happens, never fall for the idea of your leadership saying, “We are a family.” As comforting as it might sound, it is often a red flag when it comes from a boss or a company. A workplace is not a family, it is a professional environment with clear boundaries and expectations. Families support you unconditionally, but companies expect results. When a company uses this “family” narrative, it can blur lines and create pressure for employees to overextend themselves in the name of loyalty. It can also mask toxic behaviors, like unpaid overtime, guilt-tripping, or unrealistic expectations. Suddenly, you are not just an employee, you are part of the “family,” and saying no becomes harder. A good company does not need to call itself a family to show care. Respect, fair treatment, and valuing your contributions mean more than empty words. So, be cautious. Your real family is waiting for you at home, not in the office.

Ano kayang thought process ng taong ninormalize yung AI-generated outputs? AI-art to create logos, posters, and pubmats is very dissapointing dahil kapag nagiging shortcut na lang ang creativity, may mga artists, designers, and experts na nag-aral, nag-practice, at nagtapos ng pagaaral para matutunan ang branding, layout, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling. Tapos minsan, napapalitan lang sila ng output na ginawa in seconds through a prompt. Hindi naman masama gumamit ng design tools. Sobrang ayos lang gumamit ng Canva elements, icons, shapes, fonts, and other resources as long as ikaw pa rin ang nag-iisip at bumubuo from scratch. But when AI-art is used to replace real student artists and designers, doon nagiging unfair. Schools and organizations should be the first to support human talent, not erase it for convenience. Art is not just about making something look good, it is about process, intention, and respect for the people who actually learned, created, and worked hard for it.

@re-joyce

You never truly know what someone is carrying when they walk into a room. The person who barely speaks might be fighting loneliness. The one who smiles the most could be hiding a heart full of worries. The quiet stranger sitting alone may only be waiting for someone to make them feel like they belong. And sometimes, all it takes is one act of kindness. A seat pulled closer. A genuine invitation. A conversation that says, "I'm glad you're here." A moment where someone realizes they do not have to earn acceptance because they were worthy of it all along. We often underestimate the impact of making people feel seen. We remember the promotions we received and the places we traveled, but years later, what stays with us are the people who made us feel safe enough to be ourselves. Be the friend who notices who has been left out. Be the coworker who welcomes the new person. Be the classmate who sits beside someone eating alone. Be the family member who listens without judgment. Be the stranger whose kindness reminds someone that the world is still capable of goodness. You may never know how much your compassion changes another person's life, but they will remember how you made them feel long after the moment has passed. When people think back on their hardest days, may your name be one that brings them comfort instead of pain. Sometimes the greatest thing you can give another human being is the feeling that they were never alone.

@re-joyce

No one really talks about how lonely it can get when you're far from home, living in the city, and chasing the life you've always dreamed of. Because home has always been our safest place. But growing up sometimes means finding the courage to stay, even when home is miles away. Para sa lahat ng nasa malayo, living alone, missing family dinners, missing familiar faces, and carrying responsibilities quietly while pursuing their dreams and helping their families, mahigpit na yakap. One day, all these sacrifices will make sense. For now, keep going.

@re-joyce

It's all been written. Nothing in my life catches God by surprise. Before I ever took my first breath, He already knew every step, every season, and every prayer that would shape my journey. What I call the future has always been in His hands. I no longer have to carry the weight of figuring everything out. God's plans are not rushed, forgotten, or unfinished. Even when I cannot see where the path is leading, I can rest in the certainty that He never loses sight of His purpose. So I will trust the One who has already written my story from beginning to end.

@re-joyce

I know it may not feel that way right now. Maybe you still have so many questions, still facing challenges that seem heavier than you expected, or waiting for something that hasn’t arrived despite all your effort and patience. It’s easy to feel discouraged when life doesn’t unfold the way you hoped it would. But please remember that not every chapter is meant to make sense while you’re living through it. Some seasons are for growing, some are for healing, and some are quietly preparing you for things you cannot see yet. You have already made it through days you once thought would break you. You have survived disappointments, setbacks, and moments when you doubted your own strength. Yet here you are, still moving forward, still trying, still hoping. That alone shows how strong and capable you are. So if your heart feels tired, rest but don’t give up. If progress feels slow, trust that small steps can still move you closer to where you are meant to be. Keep believing in yourself. The difficult moments are not permanent. There is still beauty ahead of you. There is still joy waiting to be experienced and dreams waiting to unfold. Take life one day at a time, and remember: everything will work out. Maybe not exactly as you planned, but often in ways greater than you can imagine.
