Personalized payouts from the fund
Today we're rolling out one more update - personalized point price. Previously, all points were paid equally. An author that spent hours doing great work creating an exclusive article was paid the same for her points as someone who basically copy-pastes articles and comments all day long. Starting tomorrow, good high-quality original authors should receive better pay than others. You will still see your actual projection for the next day. How to get better pay: write original articles or comments, use proper English or use grammarly.com to fix your spelling mistakes. **P.S.** We also look at other languages too (so it's not only English). We're using Google Translate, but we don't consider proper language use there (since we can't), but only originality and engagement (comments, upvotes, views, etc...)
@Read.Cash and how will you tell if an article or a comment is original or not? Are proper english and spelling mistakes the only criteria?
Using CopyScape and manually. We look at quality, whether we can find the article. It's not so much proper language, as general quality, so if an article is written like this: "this great days , this is good! i like. this", it has very few chances to get better pay. We also look at other languages using Google Translate. Other factors include views, comments, upvotes (total amount and who actually upvotes the work), subscriptions, etc... there are many factors at play.
Interesting. Yeah this will increase the quality of articles and comments. I have a question not related to this: I can't see all the new comments on my articles. The comments counter says there are new comments but i can't see them and didn'ti received notifications. Also i can't say i'm 100% sure but i think i didn't receive 50 points when i got 10 thumbs up for this article https://read.cash/@hamedbkh/the-dancing-city-dance-until-you-die-8be0b1dd but like i said i'm not very sure about it.
Our comments counter is a bit off recently. We'll fix it soon.
> i think i didn't receive 50 points This rule is not yet active, see "(items in bold will soon be active)" - this is not yet in bold. But you'll get your points when the rule becomes active.
Sorry i didn't notice that it said "(items in bold will soon be active)". Thanks for your replay!
We have released the final rules and your article got 50 points.
Thank you very much! I also have another article which reached 14 upvotes in the past. Will i get points for it too?
Que bueno, que se siga mejorando la plataforma read cash cada dia, incentivando a los autores que escriben publicaciones originales.
It is a good idea to improve the quality. It would be important that authors would see somewhere that with the increase in quality the price of points increases and with the deterioration the price of points decreases. I think that the algorithm behind this should not be disclosed transparently, because it will lead to abuse again.
Totally agree with this! Let great content creators earn more and make them wonder why they are earnings more :)
Great news. Thank you for continuing to improve the platform. My appreciation for your efforts!
This is so refreshing to see! Great job adding grammar and spellings into the mix, definitely adds to the high quality content factor!
Thank you for this. I never plagiarize ever. 😌
This is quite nice and a great addition to this great system. This was much required. Thanks to the team. Well done guys.
thank you.. keep updated the platform. Hope so it will make this a better one.
Thats so good..I appreciate this.
Questions arouse: How you control which part is original or not? Would a mispell down your paid points significantly? If so, how much? While we expect better rewards for the good authors, is not clear what to hope for the newbies, or even for those that misspelled, intentionally or not. Think this need further explain.
This is a paradigm shift in the points awarding system of read.cash. It is a good development, but kindly work on originality as promised.
This is a step in the right direction, as this will attract quality content creators to read.cash and encourage the whole community to stick to high standards.
Please kindly introduce weekly writing or art contest with little tips to keep us engaged whilst having fun here on. Cheers
this is a nice idea!
This is great, nice one Read.cash
This is huge and really addresses a big problem with writing sites like Read Cash. Hats off to the team!
Terrific development! Long live the creatives! Originality will allow read cash to thrive in the blogistphere!
Wow! That is incredible. Seems like it would be complex to design a system to score originality, comprehensiveness, and effort. Great news though. Can't wait to see how it manifests.
This is great. That would ne more fair to those who spent time writing. Can you please explain to me about the notifications system? I have been replying the same person twice and I believe I miss out some comments too. I am new to this platform and got quite a lot to learn.
I am interested in hearing more about how this works too. What do you mean by "missing out some comments"?
How you are making the site grow is great. All of the changes and improvements are perfect. No complaints here👍 keep it up
Thank you for focusing on novice writers, and for our seniors who have provided input and knowledge. This is really a good step made by the Team specially Read. Cash
I enjoy your articles 👍
Wow! this is great. Keep it up. I like your article.
If you manage to do this you are the first and only one who proves original, good content is worth writing. It will be a huge task but for sure it will benefit this platform. 👍💕
"Starting tomorrow, good high-quality original authors should receive better pay than others." Well, that has always been a fruitless debate on Steem. what is a "high-quality" content/author?
What's high-quality is rather subjective. But you can still have an idea by checking on how much activity a post raises. If it is a lot, is an offensive post or a very good one. 😄
Yeah That's really a perfect idea. Thanks..
Writing a good blog takes time, much more a quality one. It can take a day or three for an average blogger to produce a high quality and original content.
In average a day or two, yes. But if the content is good enough you'll be fairly compensated on that. Or not. Depends how your audience receive the article.
Read.cash got a lot worse. Remove the fund, remove the boosted, remove the upvoting and change the hompage back to the tiles please, thanks
Well... before the fund we were heading towards zero activity. Like full zero. That's the current state of honest.cash and yours.org. I don't think you'd be happier in that universe.
Also, Medium doesn't have any point systems, has 80 employees, 8 years in development, but [the spam is still there](https://www.google.com/search?q=buy+viagra+sildenafil+prescription+site:medium.com). I explained a bit more in my [today's article](https://read.cash/@Read.Cash/why-arent-we-doing-something-about-spam-d96df7a5).
The only thing preventing authors to move their original content elsewhere is the fund. Removing that will have a negative impact that can turn the web into a 🏜️.
I gotta say, since it is active, I get around 1$ every day. I just realized how nice this is, not just because I get money, but because I am now able to tip every contribution and article I like, without having to pay on my own dime. This way, even when I am not writing articles, I am incentivized to come here daily and tip and vote as a curator to make this site even more attractive. I am essentially a community mod and everybody else can be as well. I will try to pay into the fund again periodically to keep this going. I really like the transaction backend of this thing, it opens you up to be an 'emergent mod' on this platform. I'd love to see some improvements made with the functionality of the community section to match the usual polished user experience here.
That os really nice of you, I got it same, ot is great to tip valuable articles and do not spend money in these hard times, I love RC because its like closed society with its own currency and I feel really independent here, not mention the great people to write with💜
Am taking time to understand how this platform works, just getting to know this now. But my question is this, how do you decide on content originality? Does the system has anti- originality detector? Again how do do you rate an article to be of good quality, is it based on the content subject or topic?
Basically (from intuition) is like this: The OC detector comes in. If your article is an original you get some more value to your points. After that things like the amount of likes and comments you receive in that article also add to your value. Is a good system, just you can't know *exactly* how much will you be earning.
Wow! That is incredible. Seems like it would be complex to design a system to score originality, comprehensiveness, and effort. Great news though. Can't wait to see how it manifests.
I'm happy to read this article. Okay now I'm fired up to write again.
Wow great tips, I noticed under the heads of my articles there is like small window saying excl, like my articles are exclusive content and I didn’ t kniw what that does mean, now I know🙏🏼
