Living, II.
This is the second part of the series on Living and you can catch up with other parts of these life's series below:
...continued...
Someone once said that he would rather live for just a single day and touch as many lives as he can than to live for hundred years and not be remembered by anyone for having done anything remarkable. Part of living is for us to be able to leave our positive impacts or trail on the sands of time. What indelible mark are you making? Who are those who would comfortably go to bed every night thanking God for coming in contact with you? What are you doing with your life?
This is a call to challenge us to think outside the box and focus on solving problems rather than just getting everything for ourselves. What are you doing with that gift, that talent and those resources?
We need to have a purpose to live for and if we are the only person we are seeing in that equation, then we are not truly living. We have to foresee the future ahead. My heart was drawn when I heard the way iPhone was presented. They said they are not trying to make another phone but trying to make life easier for others. Others might dispute with that but that's people-oriented and when you have people in mind, all that you need would naturally gravitate towards you and here we are, the dream and vision have surpassed even Steve Jobs himself.
We need to write out names on stones and not just on the sand of time. What indelible mark are you hoping to leave on this earth? What can you be known for? It's time for you to start living. Most of us can never forget the amazing impact of @MarcDeMesel and other amazing people who came together to birth Read Cash. That's a massive gift to many of us because we can do so much as a result of this. We shouldn't only be consumers but also givers. What are we doing with the things we have been receiving as well?
Life always gives but what have we given back to life? What would generations to come, look back on and thank you for? We don't have to go for something big, think of the little stuff and if one person can break through from it, you have helped a generation indirectly. We need to be too relevant to be ignored. Most people don't have to like us but we need to get them to respect us.
Most people are also scared of thinking big or dreaming big but someone once said that if your dreams or goals don't scare you then they are not big enough. We are too cautious and wouldn't want to take the needed risks. There are some risks we have to take so we can know better. Some are even scared of falling in love but if you don't get burned how would you truly understand what's meant for you when you see it? To love others is also a risk on its own but most people don't know it. Maybe we meet a few bad people in life so that when we meet the good ones we can learn to appreciate them. Risk is part of life and to fully live, you have to take some needed risks but whether they work out or not shouldn't define who you are.
We need to live and dare to live. Laugh if you must, cry if you have to, hold back when it is necessary, build up when there is an opportunity for it, dance even when you are terrible at it, sing even when the birds fly away due to your terrible voice, just don't stop living. Dare to be different, risk what should be done, pray at all times, help when you see a chance to, just keep living...
We need to be deliberate about taking one day at a time regarding what we want to achieve by the end of the day. Most people try to play it safe and that's why they have remained ordinary while admiring those who decided to step out of their comfort zone. There is an element of madness in risk and we focus too much on what if it doesn't work out when we should have also asked, what if it does? We need to take life by the scruff of the neck and live.
What story would you like to tell when you have no strength anymore? Would you look back with fun memories of the crazy risks you took and even of those who took your love for granted or would you tell people you played it safe and blame everyone else for your decision rather than yourself?
We determine how we turn out in life by the choices we make. We chart our course and sleep on the bed we have chosen to lay the way we choose. We don't have to be a secondary character in our life's stories and I shared some weeks back how we need to make better decisions for ourselves. A lot of people have their major decisions being taken for them while showing zero responsibilities for their lives. Life is meant to be lived and it's okay to make mistakes, stumble here and there and it's also okay to ask for help when you need to. It's all part of life and it's part of living.
Thank you for your time.

I'm leaving some footprints on my students life.. hopefully, I'd be remembered as someone who always considers their mental health. I left a mark I didn't even recall how, and was just reminded about it when my student came to give his thanks. Reaching out to make a greater impact. I love this living series, makes me want to ponder about my life more.
