Have Fun... It's Okay.
It's only one life you have and you've got to live it. Of course, everything is in moderation and I told @Jane how much I love her simplicity yet she is always looking absolutely dashing. She is modest and I absolutely love that.
Most people by now know that I am an indoor person and it would take extra care for me to step out of my comfort zone to do something but I got to understand that it's okay to ease up a little and just enjoy. Life is about fun too, you know and we have to strike the right balance because you can't be all about fun and forget that you have to do something worthwhile just as you can't just keep working and then allow life to pass you by. Life is meant to be lived and you shouldn't be left behind.
Speaking of balance, I can't make it all about fun and there were three events already o declined this early year after this fun moment I am about to share with you all. A wedding...which I couldn't go because something important came up and two other events of such; a party and a beach gathering. It's okay to have fun and when you have time to spare, by all means, do but don't let important things suffer all because you want to have fun. It's about finding the right balance and sticking to your ground.
The place I went to before the year ended last year was called Upbeat Recreational Center and what a place it was. I had fun that I haven't had in a long time since I last went to the beach and the swimming pool. I never knew a place like that existed until I got a hint about it and I asked what they do there. I actually went there because of the Bouldering and that was the attraction for me. I've always been seeing a lot of people climb that wall and some are scared. I was curious as to why anyone would be scared of climbing walls but then I know some are really scared of heights.
That place is amazing and quite affordable too compared to some other places. With 4,000 Naira (around $8) you will get yourself busy with the Trampoline and Bouldering for an hour. We went late last year and I could tell you that my back still hurts because I've never stressed myself with jumping and climbing in a long time. This is more reason I want to register in the gym right away. I should do that before the end of January and I know @fantagira would laugh at me because this isn't the first time I've said I wanted to register in the gym and haven't done anything about it, yet.
There are a lot of things to be done there but nothing quite much for less than 2 years old. Oluwadarasimi couldn't do much because she is still under 2 years of age but she managed to do a free ride as shown above and the slide down thing (I don't know the name haha). She seemed to enjoy both as she didn't want to stop any of them. She would climb by herself, adjust her legs herself and then slide down the plastic alley. It was fun to see and she is too smart for her age. She couldn't ride the image shown above and she had to be helped and she enjoyed it. With so much of her energy, when we stopped, she still went to carry it herself, trying to adjust herself for a ride π€£π€£π.
I knew the Bouldering would be easy but what I didn't know it that the view from the top can be a bit scary. I've never been afraid of heights but seeing things from the top sure made me doubt myself hahahaha. I climbed up with ease... In matter of seconds but I took my time well before I jumped down hahahaha. I did it more than thrice and it wasn't that easy to jump down every time even though I knew I won't get hurt because of the cube foams packed under.
It wasn't so easy to go through the cube foams too. They would drain you and drag you down no matter how fast you think you want to go. I learned how to go through it after I fell a few times and I just dip my feet in and then use all my strength to lift them back up.
Another one I enjoyed was the Trampoline. I was a bit reluctant to try it out until I did and I didn't want to stop. I jumped with a lot of people because I used the one where two people can share and I tried to jump as high as I could which sometimes affected my footing and I fell a few times too hahaha. It was fun just having that rush of excitement. Imagine how it feels when the road is free and you are just racing like there was nothing to fear. That was how I felt... Just soaking it all in...
I also tried out the Trampoline Basketball even though I am embarrassed to share this one hahaha because I think this one was designed for children or adults who wants to do slam dunk. I just bounced around it a bit and then easily dropped the ball into the hoops. Height advantage helped me and of course I moved slower enough not to miss my shots. Don't judge me haha.
This is a fun place to be...you see it as double treat; exercise and fun and this renewed my interest in even going into the gym. There are a lot of things to do there; playing Virtual games, playing football on PS5; FIFA 21 to be precise, playing actual football in a mini field same with actual basketball in another mini court.
There is an open space too, close to the water where you can sit down, order a meal and enjoy the look as well. I wasn't able to do as much as I wanted because we got there late but this is surely a place I would love to visit again.
For those in Nigeria or if you ever find yourself in Nigeria, this is a place to be. It's around Lekki Phase 1, Admiralty way. I saw a lot of foreign people there too and I was thrilled that place could be a center of attraction for many.
Thank you for your time.
