Modesty: Beyond Clothes and Appearances When the word *modesty* comes up, people often rush to define it as either what you wear or how you carry yourself. For some, modesty is about clothing—covering your body in a way that avoids drawing unnecessary attention. For others, it goes deeper than fashion, reaching into the heart, your attitude, and how you interact with people. Personally, I believe modesty is not just one thing; it is a blend of both the heart and the appearance, because one influences the other. In many cultures, especially traditional societies like mine in Nigeria, modesty is seen in how a person dresses. For example, when a woman wears a wrapper and blouse, or when a man ties a traditional agbada that flows but still looks decent, people often describe it as modest. But if we pause for a moment, is modesty really only about how much skin is covered or what type of clothing we choose? Not necessarily. A person could be dressed from head to toe but still carry themselves with arrogance and pride. On the other hand, someone might dress in a modern, less “covered” way yet carry a heart that is humble, respectful, and pure. This is where the modern world comes in with its categorization of modesty. Today, the idea of modesty has shifted. In many societies, modesty is no longer strictly tied to covering your body. It is often tied to freedom of expression, confidence, and comfort. For instance, in some cultures, wearing short dresses or fitted clothing is not considered immodest; rather, modesty is judged by how the person behaves, speaks, and respects others. The modern perspective leans more on individuality and less on collective cultural standards. But let’s be real—there’s a tension here. Traditional views of modesty often emphasize restraint, humility, and protecting one’s dignity. The modern world, however, tends to see modesty as optional, sometimes even outdated, with people saying things like, *“It’s my body, I can do whatever I want with it.”* While that is true to some extent, does it mean modesty has lost its place in society? I don’t think so. To me, modesty is balance. It is about knowing that how you present yourself outwardly reflects something about your inner self. If your heart carries humility, kindness, and respect for others, it will show in the way you talk, walk, and even dress. It doesn’t mean you have to wear the longest gown or the widest trousers, but it does mean you dress and act in a way that doesn’t deliberately provoke negative attention. It’s not about rules or restrictions—it’s about intention. Another part of modesty that people overlook is speech. You can be modest in your dressing but lack modesty in the way you talk. For example, boasting all the time, using words to belittle others, or being harsh can strip away the grace that modesty carries. True modesty is when your heart is humble, your words are gentle, and your actions respect others. So, is modesty close to what the modern world categorizes it as? Yes and no. Yes, because the modern world rightly identifies that modesty starts from the inside—it’s more than clothes. No, because sometimes modern culture equates modesty with just being “confident,” ignoring that confidence without humility can easily slide into pride. In the end, modesty is not about a checklist of clothes or behaviors. It is a lifestyle that combines humility of the heart with respect in outward appearance. To be modest is to live in such a way that you value yourself, value others, and let your presence bring peace, not noise.

Good morning, friends. Happy Sunday. I don't know why the BCH price is always going down and when then it strikes a little excitement in me when it's goes up then down it goes again. I don't know what to do with my BCH asset, should I sell or should I still HODL

@FashTioluwa

Do you think I should take out my $trump or leave it cause I don't want to have more loss.

@FashTioluwa

Hear me out. I read that Trump is the first president to be charged with funding Lush before being inaugurated. Do you think it will affect its assignment to the office, and how badly do you think this news will influence the crypto market?

@FashTioluwa

If you are a trader or you want to go into short-term trading, then this is for you. The crypto market is currently bleeding, and many people are scared to buy or invest, but I will let you know that this is the best time for you to buy any crypto asset after you have DYOR. There will definitely be a pump in the market after Trump's inauguration because he is a big crypto guy, but that is just the beginning. There will be a massive pump after he is in office; the fact is there might be a drop before he is swearing in, but after he assumes his office, there will be a massive pump before any correction, so this is the best time to buy and make money.

@FashTioluwa

Do you think there will be a significant change in the crypto market after Trump's inauguration.?

Why Do We Celebrate Christmas? Many people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas, but it is still celebrated in most of the world. I was watching an interview and a man in the UK was asked "Do people celebrate Christmas in Nigeria?" and his response was "Yeah, they do but they only use it as an avenue to party. They don't really celebrate Christmas like what christmas is meant to be and they don't understand what christmas is all about" I felt offended by this response because you haven't been to my country and you haven't seen us celebrate so what will you know about how we celebrate christmas? The truth is, I have been eating rice all year but the rice on Christmas day always taste different and smells different. You will feel the joy in the air and almost taste the christmas itself. If you don't know what christmas is all about, relax and take a quick read. [Image source](https://img.freepik.com/free-vector/merry-christmas-decorative-festival-wishes-greeting-design_1017-34907.jpg?t=st=1734625605~exp=1734629205~hmac=46e0fcbc2318d47c4a7946b3e9dfe4c4f6d5467115ba20488287b4df5649ca6a&w=740) Every year, on December 25th, millions of people around the world come together to celebrate Christmas. This festive holiday is marked by twinkling lights, decorated trees, and joyful gatherings with family and friends. But what is the true reason for this celebration? At its heart, Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. According to Christian belief, Jesus was born in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago to bring hope, love, and salvation to humanity. The story of his birth, found in the Bible, tells of Mary and Joseph, who, unable to find room at an inn, took shelter in a stable where Jesus was born. Angels proclaimed his birth to shepherds, and wise men traveled from afar, guided by a star, to honor the newborn with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. For Christians, Jesus’s birth represents God’s gift to the world—an act of love and redemption. The name "Christmas" itself comes from "Christ’s Mass," a reference to the special church services held to honor Jesus’s birth. Beyond the religious significance, Christmas has also come to symbolize values such as kindness, generosity, and togetherness. Traditions like exchanging gifts, sharing meals, and helping those in need reflect the spirit of giving and compassion that the holiday promotes. Even for those who do not observe it as a religious event, Christmas serves as a time to connect with loved ones, reflect on the past year, and spread joy and goodwill. So, whether you celebrate Christmas by attending a midnight church service, decorating a tree, or giving to others, the essence of the holiday remains the same: a celebration of hope, love, and light in the darkest days of winter. We celebrate love and th birth of our saviour. I am wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year In Advance. May this Christmas bring peace, joy, and warmth to your heart and home!

@FashTioluwa

It's almost christmas, what are you excited about. Share it with us, and what are your wishes. Someone out there might grant you your wish.

Things I reminisce about; Crazy things I did while growing up. There are things we have done in the course of our lives that we can never forget. For one, I have done so many crazy and interesting things. Nothing of the sort should make you scared of me. I wouldn't share my adventure outside space, but I will tell you some of my unforgettable memories here on Earth. He hasn't left Earth. Yes, that's me. I will never forget the day I went out to look at people fighting with guns and knives. It was a clash between cultists. When I was young, I did not know how bad clashes among cultists could get. I wore a brown carton over me, which served as a bulletproof. I wanted to see the fight so badly that I snicked out through the kitchen door to watch people cutting and shooting themselves. My mom saw me from the window and started screeching; it was one of our neighbors who came to get me. I escaped death that day, not from the hands of the cultist but from my mom. The beating. I will never forget the day a friend lied to me. Back in the days when we watched movies using DVD players, there was the movie my day bought, "Gladiator." Our neighbor's son was watching it with us that night, but it was so late that we asked him to go home. The disk has some other movies on it, but after one day, we couldn't find the disk again. "Who did you borrow?" my dad asked me while I was feeling threatened. "I did not borrow anyone, sir," I almost cried. A few days later, this boy, "Dami," came to return the movie, and the first person he met was my dad. "Who gave you this movie?" my dad asked him. "It was Tioluwa that gave it to me," Dami said. The look on my dad's face made me lose my voice. The beating. I will never forget when my dad lost his job some years ago. He is a strong man we all rely on. When he lost his job, it was a tough time for the family. My siblings and I stopped going to school for almost two terms because of the school fee issue. Feeding was left to those who had friends, and I didn't have much back then. I was always with my dad, talking and sharing life experiences. I learned a lot back then, but now we are basking in the riches God has blessed us with. I will never forget the day a girl was robbed right in front of me. It was a cross-over night in Surulere Laguna City. We just finished shouting Happy New Year at midnight, and we were on our way home. Just a few blocks away from the church, my parents were in front of me while I was walking behind my sisters to keep them safe. Two girls were walking towards us; one was on a call, while the other was just laughing and happy to have made it to the new year. There were some guys, four of them, walking towards the girls. One of the guys dragged her phone and ran away while the other three blocked them, saying, "You want to die with your phone, bah?" The girls were powerless against those guys, but my Batman instinct told me to face my front and walk faster away from them. If any of the girls are reading this, I am sorry I couldn't help that day. Lastly, I will never forget the history I learned from my grandma. She is a very wise and easy-going woman; she loves it when we sit down together, share tea, and discuss a general topic. I had the privilege of living with her while I was at the university. We have a big family tree, but I didn't know how big it was until she told me the secret of our family. Sometimes, when I share this knowledge with my cousins, they are always surprised at how much I know about our family history. It is history that gave birth to the renowned family of Ifasha-un, now known as Fashanu. Thanks for reading.

Its been raining cat and dog for a long time and it seems it will continue today again. This is the third day rain is falling without any stop. We can't even dry our cloths outside, I wonder how the weather is like in other places.

@FashTioluwa

A kid asked me yesterday "why do people die?" I got confused if it was a deep question or just a random one. So I gave the best answer I could by saying "God wants them to come to him" I hope that was able to answer his question.

@FashTioluwa

Just like yesterday; Currently more than 11k view on readcash Just like yesterday, I remember when reached my first 100view on readcash. It was a great day for me because it was a prove that my contents are being seen by people and I wasn’t getting ignore. I have spent two year on read.cash and this year will make it my third year soon. I started this journey with just a word from a friend “why are you wasting your talent writing on WhatsApp” At first, it felt like an insult because he said I was wasting my talent but he was right. It was after I joined read.cash I knew I was wasting my talent writing on WhatsApp status. I got my first 100 views after months of consistent writing without any stop but today, I’m celebrating 11k+ views on readcash I’m sure, with little time, I would be getting the notification of getting to 12k if possible, cause sometimes some numbers are skipped. Probably the next notifications I’ll be getting is when I get to 15,000 views. Well, I’m ready to give it a shot and with time I’ll make another post celebrating another achievement. If you don’t mind sharing, what view is your current achievement, I’m very sure there are people who has gotten to this place before I did. People like @Pantera@Pantera @Fexonice1@Fexonice1 and many more that I don’t want to mention names. If you’re seeing this, then you should be motivated to keep on writing and doing what you know how to do best. I would like to thank @ewyr@ewyr for your love and support also. God bless you, you’re one of the reason people here keep doing what they are doing. Much love to you. To everyone who left and are back, welcome again to our favorite blogging platform. Let’s make it great again ❤️🫶🏽

This was all possible because of the support I received from my parent and my uncle in the military. Thank you sir. *** *** My year on the blockchain has been great. A happy new year to you all. The year has been so great for me because of the people I met on the blockchain. It wasn’t an easy journey but we made it. @FashTioluwa

In war, I don’t think there should be side to pick. War is bad, the the offensive and defensive sides. I see no reason for war when people can actually forgive and move on. Many innocent people have die on both side. I hope they can put this to a stop on time

@FashTioluwa

Hey guys, hope you all are doing good. How about we start from here we stop. Happy new year from Fash

@FashTioluwa

Feels like everything is out there to get us and us down. But today, I will tell you. You have to be strong for the storm will be over soon and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

@FashTioluwa

Hello fella. It been 2 month but i cant get my mind of readcash. I do miss her and i still love her. anyways i hope you all are doing good

@FashTioluwa

The question of "Can you love someone unconditionally?" was what brought the topic we spoke about at the annual family meeting. We were 32 in numbers including my grandparent and the great-grand kids. My grandpa smiles and said "you all are the prove that the power of love is greater than all other things" it was a bit hard for us the grandchild to understand but after his explanation, we all understood.

@FashTioluwa

Can we get married and forget the ceremonies? Will our parent give us the go ahead? Love is a beautiful thing and when you're in a relationship with some you love, it will look like the world revolves around you.  Can we just get married after we ask for our parents' consent without the enormous celebration and gathering?  This can happen with some control. Where the lady and the guy are in love in a far away place from their parents, once couples visit each parent and find it hard to visit again, they can just get married and start a new family.  Oh I wish something like this could happen in my country. Everything has put a stop to this sweet imagination. I'm not against the party and the celebration. Ok, let me explain further.  It is very rare to see a child that is tagged "Good, educated, well mannered, and so on" start a family without the white wedding. What is a white wedding?  A white wedding is the kind of wedding when the lady will be on white wedding dress and the husband will be in a black suit or any color. And they both get blessed in the church for the new journey that awaits them, full stop. This is one of the best feelings and something that does make parents proud. Yeah yeah. Everyone will want to experience this but what actually prompts my imagination. Inflation is so high. And in my culture and country the wedding ceremony is one of the biggest events that parents can showcase their well brought up kids. One thing about the wedding that baffles me is this. A man that just started his life, I mean he just got a good paying job and was able to save up a lot to get an apartment, got himself a car and started saving to start up a family. I guess that's how it should be but instead he starts saving for marriage. He pays bride price and foots all the bills that come for a better wedding ceremony.  After the wedding ceremony, it might be hard for him to pick up again but he will definitely do that.  But can't that stage be avoided. I mean just get the parents around and some family members, if they have to go to court, fine by me. And after everything is done they can start a family and live fine. Do we really need to go through all the ceremonies? What are the ceremonies I'm talking about in my culture? We have the "Introduction". Here the both families will meet and come with each other's extended family and friends. There will be food and a little party. Then we move to the " White Wedding" . This is mostly done in the church with hardly any food but won't  your guests be entertained. The newly wedded couple will have to get a hall that will convene the guests and there we move to the last. The "Reception". The reception is where the real party is and no one will want to miss that party. There the couple will dance and play all sorts of games.  All this costs a fortune and with the rate of hyperinflation, I salute those that are getting wedded and also building their own house because all these things are done by grace. Now you understand why I say that in the topic. Can't we just do that?. Lead image from unsplash.

@FashTioluwa

The concept of "Judging a book by it cover" I have read many posts and write up about this topic "Don't judge a book by its cover". Sometimes I wonder, if we judge a book by its cover are we really wrong? The concept of don't judge a book by its cover has made a lot of people think when we see people we should just assume immediately. Yes, they are right. don't just assume immediately but make sure you follow your instinct, your instinct can never be wrong. I was on hive reading and I saw a lot of blogs on "don't judge a book by its cover" I saw many people talking about how we should look beyond the dressing or how a person may look, blah blah blah. I have a different opinion. I would say, Judge a book by its cover then study it to be sure if it can be trusted. There is a popular saying >The way you dress is the way you will be addressed now if that's true, why won't people get the wrong information from how you dress? there are two factors to this thing. Either the person you see is really what is on the cover of his/her book and your judgment is written or The person is just a pretender and pretenders are not to be trusted So now tell me. Is judging people by their appearance wrong? the answer is No. Imagine you are on your way home and you pass through a hotel road, by the roadside you saw your little sister dressed in a mini skirt, crop top, makeup, polished nails, and with a fancy small bag. I'm sure you will just drive by and wave at her saying >Don't judge a book by its cover. She's probably waiting for a friend or going to church. right? It is that simple. Before a book won't be judged by its cover, its needs to be studied first then people can say "This book was a great book but the cover doesn't give justice to the content in it" same goes for humans, immediately we see a person, we judge immediately then we move on by studying and getting our final answer. If you see a cranky man in the night on black, wearing a face cap and smiling unnecessarily, Run as fast as you can. Don't wait to confirm the cover if the content is good or not, just run so you can live to tell the story. Thank you Thank you for always. You all are the best. Let us live well and make the world a better place.

@FashTioluwa

Have you ever love someone so much you'll give all for Have you ever loved someone so much You'd give an arm for Not the expression, no Literally give an arm for When they know they're your heart And you know you are their armor And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm her But what happens when karma Turns right around and bites you And everything you stand for turns on you to spite you What happens when you become the main source of her pain

@FashTioluwa

Sometimes I ask myself. Why? Why did Judas betray Jesus ? Didn't he know he was walking with the man who owns the world? After all that miracle, did he still not believe in him? Was the money offered to him that much to feed him and 4 generation to come? Yet I can't get an answered to it. This is just life. They say, "never believe what you ear and half of only what you see" be careful who you call your friend and who you trust. Like is just like that!

@FashTioluwa

A night that should remain a secret. The words of the police were going through my right ear and coming out of my left, I couldn't comprehend the words coming out of their mouth. When they asked me questions or stated a fact. I was just looking into a blank space as the image of what happened kept playing in my mind. **"leave her alone and stop questioning her"** It was the voice of my mother and that was the only voice I could recognize. immediately I burst into tears **"mommy mommy mommy"** was all I could say as she embraced me. I was in her arm for God knows how long and was still in her arms as she spoke with the police. it was then I realize I was at the police station. "**Did they arrest kill? did he run away? Was he killed while running away?**" those were the thoughts in my head as we left the police station. After 2 weeks the police visited our home and I was ready for any question, it was a female sergeant and a young police boy because he doesn't look like a man in any way, I wondered how he even got into the police academy. **"What happened that night?"** That was the question she asked and I started narrating like I was an audio tape player. *It was raining that night after I was done with work. I notice he came into the shop frequently to buy something, he bought the smallest thing of all like candy, biscuits, pen and, and he kept asking when am I going to close. I asked why he was asking about my closing time and he said he want to get something else. I asked him to get what he wants now because I will be closing anytime soon, he said he forgot his credit card at home and ran to get it.* *I waited several minutes but he didn't return so I close the shop. it was just 8:30 pm and the rain wasn't stopping. it was very dark that night and I decided to pass through the ally way so I could get to the bus stop early. I was walking through the ally and I noticed someone was behind me.* *I couldn't walk fast because I was scared, I turned to look who was behind me but there was no one. I tried looking further but still, no one was there. I turned and as soon as I raised my head I saw him standing in front of me. He pushed me when with his might and I hit my back on the wall. I became weak immediately.* *he started muttering words like, why didn't* *I notice him, he loves me and I never wanted him, he wants me to love him the way he loves me. I tried to struggle but he was stronger than me, he held me down and kissed my face.* *I pushed back but he brought out a knife and asked me to stay still. he ripped my polo top into two like a monster and tore my bra, I couldn't struggle anymore as he removed my pants and spread my legs. I started to cry and he stabbed me in my arm and asked me to keep quiet. He was hitting his body against mine and as he continued my strength was being drained away. it was then a heard a man and woman's voices screaming, it was then I felt him stand up from my body and that was all I remembered.* **"Thank you for this statement the policewoman said, and we would do all we can to apprehend him.**" This was said to me 8 years ago Anita said... It was a night I never want to remember. Image from unsplash.com **source** https://unsplash.com/photos/9pdcfEo6124 A short note. Hello readers, I hope you had a good thrill when reading. There are a lot of people this has happened to, the case was never solved and many others didn't talk about it, some did not even live to tell the story. To everyone that has experienced such horror, my prayers are with you. Be strong, if the trauma is too much for you to handle, talk to a therapist or to a person that really loves you. Have a great April.

@FashTioluwa

Read this and know the truth: Both old and new users. The Truth. We all know the truth and deep down we aren't happy with the way things are. Many new users might not understand but most of the old users will. **What is the truth I'm talking about?** We all can't pretend that read.cash is the way it use to be. There is a lot of good change but one of the things that have changed which isn't putting a smile on people's faces is the tips that are gotten from Rusty. **There was a time we use to say** *>I don't write for money. I just enjoy writing and expressing myself, I really don't care if I don't get tipped by the bot.* ***It is all a lie. You know that right?*** I remembered back then if I get visited by the bot 6 times. I would be having nothing less than $1.80 or $2 at most. The situation isn't the same again. I'm not complaining or making any claims but I'm just saying the bitter truth many people know but don't want to say. Last year was a great year. Many people earn more than $15 to $20 in a week from their write-ups. This is to show that the platform has been a great help to many people. I was even able to save up to $150 and many people saved more than that. Oh, our glory days, will the glory days return to the way it is? Yes! Some didn't withdraw their coin or convert to a fiat currency or stablecoin which lead to a great loss. Many haven't even recovered from it due to the currently bearish market. But I want to tell you all, our glory days are coming again. Don't feel bad if you were making $5 or $6 per article before, and now you're making $1. Let's make the platform fun again and spread the love of BCH, the love of Bitcoincash across the world. Currently, in Argentina, there are over 300+ merchants that accept Bitcoincash as a legal tender for the exchange of goods and services. You can be the next great advocate for Bitcoincash in your geographical area. **A quick and funny one**. Since I have returned to read.cash and started my write-ups. I have only been able to earn $3 from all my write up. Like the Big Fash, the greatest Fashtioluwa, the lion in the read.cash jungle. How possible but I was humbled by Rusty😂😂😂. Well, nothing is impossible on readcash, just keep doing what you are doing and be the greatest where ever you are. I haven't said happy new Month this month. So, happy new month lovely people, happy Sunday, a happy new week, and a happy great time here. Let's meet again in the comment sections, either in your article or mine. Hugs.🤗🤗

@FashTioluwa

I haven't seen some people article that I know they write almost everyday. Someone like @pantera the last article from him was like a week ago or maybe I missed it... I just hope you're good. Then @Theblackdoll I wish I had her contact before her disappearance. I still miss her tho. Then @bloghoung just were are you. If anyone knows where @Ruffa is too help get her. These are some of the people that made my stay at read.cash very interesting when I firstly arrived. Now I'm a year older on read.cash wish too see most of them again.
