Jijisaur's Learning Journey -Blog #13
Happy Thursday! Wow, today is sure hot, glad that I have a cold iced tea on my side. By the way, how are you coping with the heat? I think the cold season is not over huhu.
But nonetheless, we still should be grateful whatever the season is. Some people are craving the heat, some are craving for the winter. I will just be grateful whatever the season is.
Thank you, sponsors! Always grateful for the extra push for me to write almost every day.
1) A 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit Japan.

The earthquake is from the region of Fukushima almost midnight when it happened. It has a depth of sixty kilometers. The earthquake killed four people and injured 94. Some parts of Japan have a power blackout because of the earthquake.
I saw many videos about the recent earthquake in Japan. I saw this video where a girl is casually and then the house starts to shake violently. She reconfirmed to the viewers if it was an earthquake. Another video is when a bell figurine starts to make a sound violently at the peak of the earthquake.
Since Japan is in the fault line, the people were asked to always be ready of earthquakes and tsunamis as well.
Also, I am also worried that The Philippines might experience an aftershock since we are just near the fault line also.
2) PHP 200 ($4) monthly aid for the poor class but the fuel tax will remain.

The government announced that they will subsidies people who are struggling in the rise of oil prices. The tax on it will stay though. Other than the PHP 200, they will also aid in different forms. This was then said by President Rodrigo Duterte in a meeting with the cabinet members and other officials present. The proposal of DOF was approved immediately by the president, which provides PHP 200 per house of indigent families for a year.
The oil surge is giving me a heart attack. Just kidding. Yeah, it is shocking and everyone is not happy with the oil price. People start to demand more salary because they cannot afford the basic necessities because of it. Some are quitting driving their cars because of it. The oil surge affects us in different ways.
I always tell to my family that we should save even if there is nothing to save up for because one day, we might regret not saving.
3) Adobe supporting NFT.

The popular editing company Adobe has expressed its support to Non-fungible Tokens. NFT's in my own understanding is an assets that is on the blockchain that can be traded or transferred. Behance, a social media platform of Adobe, is supporting creators who mint on the Polygon network.
This news makes me happy since I have been in the NFT verse since September. More and more people are discovering the potential of NFTs today and in the future. People are embracing the value of art is a form of digital. I am so happy that the world and the biggest companies are slowly recognizing NFT!
Final Thoughts
The news that really struck me is number two. I am happy that the government is making a move for the people who are struggling. I am happy that President Duterte is very fast in approving the budget for this.
I still consider myself lucky even though I am not that rich. I still eat a decent meal three times a day and that alone makes me lucky. I try to save and earn in whatever platform I can earn. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. We should always be ready for whatever the world may bring in our life. Bottom line is, be ready before the storm ALWAYS.
That is it for today. Thank you for reading!

If this oil crisis continues, I wonder how long our economy can endure. Mabuti na lang kahit paano bumabalik na tayo sa trabaho, pero nakakalungkot talaga, ang mahal mahal ng gas, at ramdam na ramdam natin kasi domino effect :(
