It is said that the practice of music causes a positive effect on our mind, more specifically in the motor region, that is because using an instrument requires control and coordination of our body movements. I believe that most people like music and maybe you are stressed out and suddenly you hear a musical melody. A couple of chords are enough to relax your mind for a while and bring back memories you thought you had forgotten. A simple thing like a melody is capable of awakening your emotions, leaving a smile on your face.
In that sense, I believe that music is a resource that we can use, not only to awaken our feelings, but also to benefit our learning and improve our memory. It reaches directly to the heart of each person. In addition, using any type of musical instrument helps us to educate, to teach and transmit values, benefiting the social, intellectual, moral and spiritual development of an individual. Even if we combine more often education with music would be something very positive, teaching would be easier and each one of them will generate good fruits, because that little seed will germinate producing certain positive or negative actions of what they have sown during their learning.
Music is a power that can influence and promote a constant reaction in the world, which can highlight the moral values of each family. In fact, sharing songs or encouraging the little ones in the house to play some kind of instrument makes our bond stronger and favors their self-esteem. When music awakens their curiosity, they will be able to master different movements and enrich their creativity and communication. Analyzing better, music is part of us since we are born, our first toys such as cradle mobiles, rattles, usually incorporate, sounds, whistles, tones and music that at some point we try to imitate.
As a thing of destiny, it is something that we can find anywhere and within everyone's reach, we find it in nature as for example the clapping we do with our hands. Also, a proof that playing even an instrument comes from years ago since the first musical instruments were the Paleolithic. They were rudimentary flutes made with animal bones and therefore it is very likely that music was present many millennia before. Music offers many physical, cognitive and motor benefits. It increases our ability to respond faster to various sensory stimuli. It helps us with our memory, thoughts, emotions, creativity and imagination. And, in addition to all this, it allows us to know how we feel, so that we can share it more easily with others.
Therefore, it can be said that it also has a positive impact on social and emotional development. Listening to music can help people with cognitive problems such as brain damage, people with addictions or chronic pain, as it allows relaxation, mood improvement and many other neurological benefits. Finally, it is important to note that although we all enjoy music, one in ten people play an instrument, perhaps understandably because of the effort and time it takes to master the technique. Therefore, learning to play an instrument is an intensive training.
