A students and Others
It’s convocation week and the whole school is bubbling with parties. You will see so many parents smiling with pride, happy to see their children make them proud. The students graduating all dress up in suits and other beautiful dresses with their gowns well ironed, posing for pictures and the students still in school look at them with admiration and dream of when they will also graduate from the school. But the biggest worry of the present students is how to get food from those celebrating.
Everywhere you will see people celebrating their friends or former roommate graduating but something peculiar about what everyone was posting is that everyone wants to be recognized with those that finished Top of their class or with a first-class. The way the toppers are celebrated by all while those that finished with a pass or lower credit are neglected is something that got my attention yesterday.
People celebrate those that are successful. I can’t help wondering how those whose grade isn’t nice will feel with the way people aren’t celebrating them well. It’s not an easy task to spend over 5 years in school. Over 5 years because of the constant strike by the teaching staff. And for some 6 years to 7 years due to different circumstances.
The winners are celebrated in this world we are in. People don't appreciate what you're doing but what you've done, keep pushing and always give strength to others.
No matter how big your dream is, you can achieve it if you put your heart into it. You are the one who decides how your life will play out, good grades or no good grades. Don't worry about what people think of you, care about what people think of themselves after they meet you. If a man blames his failures on others, he will never achieve success. If a man blames his failures on himself, he will be a winner someday.
The funny thing about life is that the grade doesn’t determine how successful they will be in life. Someone once posed a question at me. He said, “Why do A students work for the Government while B students work for C students”. This isn’t to say all A students end up unsuccessful, just that being an A or B student won't get you far if you don't have that entrepreneurial mindset or that hunger to succeed in this country we are in.
Success to me and what I want out of life is not about the syllabus or the grades I got on my report card. Success to me is how successful I am at doing what I love and being driven by my passion and drive to do more and more in life.
"So many people are so driven by this competitive nature, this need to be at the top of their class and be better than everyone else. But, after high school, you realize that grades don't matter. It doesn't determine how successful one will be in life." Education shouldn't be competitive but inspirational.
Hearing the unfortunate announcement that one would not be graduating with one's mates can be so devastating. But one shouldn't let that
Sharing the news with one's group, friends, family and trusted advisers or Parents is another issue. The best thing to do is to talk to those who experienced such before.
In conclusion, Good grades or Bad grades don't matter in life. It's the mindset that matters the most. So no matter what grade you graduate with, your future is in your hands. How you will turn out to be in future is left to you, take a step today.

Remembered in Secondary school after we finished writing our exams the parents made cakes and organised parties for their kids and at the end we all failed, it was really heartbroken
