Did you add this to your "New Year Resolution?
I was pondering on what to write since I got back from the church, my head seems to be blank and you can confirm it from my yesterday's article.
I was reading through the articles in my notification when I came across the @Princessbusayo post titled "No one can stop him", I felt inspired and got an idea of what to write.
I can count how many days I went to church in the previous year because I was been lazy about it, there are times I end up at the farm on a Sunday morning. Nothing justifies my nonchalant attitude when it comes to going to the place of worship and I know deep my heart that I am ingrate, sparing a few hours to be in God's presence shouldn't be something tasking for us to do.
I respect everyone's opinion about religion but there is something you must understand. Our worship is not what makes God relevant, if the world chooses not to worship God again that doesn't stop him from being God. You can choose to worship at home/alone and some circumstances like the lockdown can warrant you to stay indoor but we must understand that God loves to see us gather and worship together.
Hebrew 10:25a, do not ignore the gathering of thy brethren.
If he has done so much for me despite being lazy, I wonder how much more he would do if I gave my all to him. During the Pandemic, I got to understand that there is nothing we can do in this world that can be equal to God's grace for our lives.
The breath we don't value is what people paid millions to have, imagine if he demanded that we paid for the breath. How many of us will still be alive? How many will be leaving on debt?
During the crossover night, I went to a church near the house to worship because it is something I see as mandatory. It has been a tradition since childhood, we do observe the crossover in the church thanking God for a good year and committing the New Year unto God's hands.
I noticed the church had an extra congregation unlike the usual service and a few minutes before 12 am, we saw lots of people coming in and the church had to put chairs outside. Some were even drunk because there is a club nearby, people from there flocked in and it made me understand something.
A lot of us know the importance of God in our lives but we pretend not to know. If we understand that we should go worship God on a crossover, we should as well know that worshiping God always is important.
There are lots of reasons and benefit in worshipping the Almighty God and we should try to enjoy the benefits in the new year, I want to urge everyone to ensure that serving God should be included in this year's resolution.
If we start digging into the Bible, the Lord made numerous promises for those who worship him in truth and spirit.
The book of Isaiah 40:31 says, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, they shall walk, and not faint".
The scripture above is proof and you know God doesn't fail when he makes promises, he said in Mathew 24:35 that "heaven and earth pass away, but a bit of his word won't go unfulfilled".
Things might not look as good as expected and that shouldn't stop you from serving God, I remembered @Princessbusayo stating that serving God doesn't mean everything will be perfect for you.
I agree with that because he said in John 16:33 that "these things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.
We will face challenges but they will not overcome us, let ensure we move closer to God this year. The Lord Almighty will never forsake us, Amen.
Thanks for reading, Happy Sunday to you every one.

This caught me and you are very right that we should include going to church into our resolution. I also didn´t do much in going to church last year. I used to come up with unnecessary reasons just to sit back at home 😂 but I will definitely try my best this year. May God help us all.
