Blames, wickedness, misplaced priority, causing sorrow, and many more, these are some of the attributes that have been used to describe humans, but are we really that way? Does civilization make us smarter or we are just bound by our insolent nature?
I'm so angry right now with the news circulating on the internet in my country, how can you do that to a fellow human, what really happened? A girl condemns the act of sending a religious message to their class Whatsapp group saying, it should be a group to send educational information and other academic benefits instead of a religious message. Do you know what the coursemate or classmate did to her? They beat the lady and stone her to death, not only that, they burn her corpse.
What really cause this uproar is that the lady that said this is a Christian and the other party is Muslim. Now I wonder, if it was a person of the same faith as them that said such, would they still beat and kill the person.
The people that did this, said the girl was killed for blasphemy, that excuse is the lamest excuse I have heard for committing a murder, they were proud as they video themselves beating her with planks, and stoning her until she dies.
Human! Human!! Human!!!
There can never be a justified reason to kill for God or gods, if God was really angry at anyone's blasphemy, he would punish the person himself, is the god too small to fight for himself hereby prompting people to do his vengeful act.
I said on Twitter yesterday "If people take up arms and being to fight for their gods or God, no one will be left unharmed".
The fact remains, that the people that killed " Deborah" didn't kill her for blasphemy, they have been taught to kill or they are killers themselves, and no religion will ever support murder. It's like saying, I killed her because I know God can do anything to her, so I help him do his bidding, if the god can do anything to her, do you think there is a god there in the first place.
A time is coming when people will kill because they feel the object compile them too, imagine going to a court and a person was asked "why did you kill him" and he said "The knife was so shinny and shape and it asked me to stab the other man"
This is to show that the human mind can be clouded with various misplaced priorities. To my surprise, I was thinking it was the illiterate that could have done that, but it was the school of college pupils that did that act, are they not educated enough to tell the difference, another thing is that, some sophisticated people came online and wrote they are in support of her death because she spoke against their prophet. If the herbalist takes up arms and kills whoever spoke against their gods, or the Buddhist, or the Christian or other religions do the same, no one will be left alive.
Finally, this set of extremists in religion, no matter the religion, are the kind of people that can be easily lured into any terrorist group claiming it is the will of their gods.
I hope we all can have our religion and humanity together, we can see and behold the things that separate and look more at the things that bring us together and make us one. Love is the first religion, we should always remember that. Selah.
Disclaimer: This article isn't meant to backlash any religion but to show how people are extremists with religion
At this point, I think one needs to be careful with what they say now so it doesn´t implicate us. This world is getting more scarier and terrifying and we need to be careful because there are people who wouldn´t mind doing evil to another fellow. I feel for Deborah and may her soul rest in peace.
