Be there for each other
January 10, 2021
It's only the tenth day of January but why does it feel like we're already in the tenth month of the year?
It feels like a lot has already happened, it feels like a lot of people are already tired when everybody is supposed to be excited for the months ahead. I know it is hard to be optimistic nowadays but let's keep on trying, let's keep on supporting each other for the betterment of each and every one of us.
A block of wonderful people whom I always wish to be healthy.
Let us show support to each other especially to those people who are infected with the virus. They are just sick, they are not turning to be a zombie, yes what they have is contagious, a very contagious one that everyone around them might get infected but also remember that there are certain health protocols that will help protect us from getting the virus.
A simple text asking how they are would mean a lot to them, you don't have to show up at their doorstep just to let them know that you care for them. There are so many ways to let the person know that you care for them, that you think of them if you really want to.
It's hard to get sick nowadays, the covid19 changes the way we handle each other when we are sick. Before the pandemic when you get sick everyone around you is there to ask you what you want to eat, they are always there to check on you if you have a fever or even check what you want, but everything has changed. Now when you get sick no one is allowed to be with you, no one is allowed to get in contact with you, or else they will also undergo a 10 days quarantine period just to be sure that no one is spreading the virus. But, It's hard to be alone when you are sick, it is when you are sick that you are longing for some company. You are longing for someone that will give you some attention.
Let's try to be there for our loved ones, not physically but emotionally and mentally. Let us shower our sick family members or friends with love and care even if we cannot go near them.
A simple basket of fruits, a pack of milk, a bottle of juice would mean a lot to them. Remember it's the thought that counts not the price of what you sent. Those are simple acts of kindness that can go a long way especially when you are sick. Let us be generous in showing that we care, that we think about them and always try to have time to check on them even on messages. Let's not give our sick loved ones any reason to be lonely. Let's not give them any reason to feel alone.
So if you know someone who is infected with the virus go and send them a message now, check on them, make them smile, it will help them get through this.

Totally agree with you! I have a poster in my work place that says "viruses don't discriminate and neither should we". Everyone needs compassion, care, love and support!
