The link between a broken heart and creativity. 💔 My brain have been overthinking both relevant and irrelevant stuffs lately and I thought maybe it would be best for me to retreat even if it's for a while, that's why I haven't been visiting y'all articles for sometime now. You know we all get to thus point in life where we just hit the wall and we just need time to do some little detoxing, well sometimes it's more than little. I have been studying the works of some really creative and intelligent people in history and I realise that a good number of them gain their inspirations after they lost their beloved, either by a break up or death of the beloved. I tried to find the link between them but I couldn't. I find the story of Rumi and Shakespeare particularly intriguing. These two sages dived into arts and became the best in their times, the latter gained his inspiration from a said breakup while Rumi gained his inspirations from the death of his Beloved. I will take Rumi's situation as a case study, here is a short account of what happened: Muhammad Jalaluddeen Rumi was a scholar and cleric in the golden age of Islam. He was a native of Konya a place now located in present day Turkey. He was a very respected Imam and a very revered scholar of Islamic Jurisprudence until he met his beloved, Shams-et-tabriz. After rumi's encounter with his beloved shams, his life changed, changed so much that he abandoned his duties and responsibilities as a chief Imam just to be with Shams. Unfortunately along the line, Shams was murdered by rumi's own son due to the fact that he was jealous of how freely shams had all his father's attention while he had little or none. Rumi was distraught and heartbroken after the incidents and he became a master poet. He organised poems and quatrains that were mostly about singing praises to his beloved shams and God. His works are still very much available and people ook up his works to learn the secrets of love. If shams hadn't died, I don't think he could have produced such amazing works. People like Edmund Mush and Rodin have similar stories. They channelled their heartbreka into their works and they became masters in their chosen fields! Does that mean that a broken heart could have something to do with creativity. I guess so... When we look closely, people whose hearts have been broken countless amounts of times are often the wisest set of people. They are those with the most empathy and those who feel connected to almost everything in the world. Do my message for those with broken heart is to always see the opportunity in the situation they find themselves in and make the best out of it. Life is too short to spend it in grieving. That feeling you feel may be a source of inspiration for you and for others if you examine closely thanks for reading.

When the church is family Hello my beautiful and ever loving friends. 💗 First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you all for the love, care and support you have all given to me yesterday. I reply appreciated. You all gave me the courage and inspiration I needed and Gos knows I am very grateful I feel so blessed to May God continue to bless you all. Wishing you all a splendid Sunday and a awesome new month ahead in good health and happiness So, today after service, Mom and i went to see our bishop. Mom have ben having some nightmares for a while now and she decided to go see the bishop for some spiritual guidance and counselling. After the bishop jad Finished praying g for us, he offered to giv us a ride home, we were about to leave when a young lady from a distnce beckoned on us to wait for her. I sathe look o distress written all ver her face and i immediately knew that she had something very important to say to the bishop.. she was with a very young child that couldn't be more than a week old. As she came close, She obviously looked sadder and I thought. Nevertheless, I was very fascinated at the sight of the baby she was holding and I thought that anyone that had such a beautiful child should be full of smiles instead. But the young woman who wouldn't be more than 20 looked very worried. She began to cry as soon as she opened her mouth to speak. She inadvententy got pregnant when still a student at the college. As soon as she realized that she was with child, she became very scared and thought that her poor parents would be very disappointed in her. She managed to hid the pregnancy from them all this time while at school even though she regularly communicated with her parents through phone calls but never told them about it. She thought her father would find it hard to forgive her when he learnt that his only daughter got pregnant at the middle of her education, so she decided to keep the pregnancy a secret . And now that the baby have arrived, she wanted the church to help her look after it while she further in her education. The bishop really felt for her and promised that the church would do her best to take Care of her child while she's away. . Afterall, God is the father of the fatherless. If the biological father of the child deny him, then God will never deny the child. I Felt really sorry for the little child. I have always thought and believed that a child brings joy and happiness to a home. There are a lot of couples out there who are praying and trusting on God for a child everyday, but this young lady had been blessed with a most beautiful child but she wanted to do away with it because she thought that the child would be an obstacle to her happiness. How strange. The bishop commended the young lady for not aborting the baby during its pregnancy as some other girls would. He made her realize that every child have the right to live and survive. "God has great plans for this child", the bishop said to her. he would live in the glory of the lord. The bishop prayed for the young mother who had now began to sob. He assured her that she could always come to visit her child any time at the orphanage in the church. Our church is a big organization. It also had an orphange and a school within its premises. The orphanage have really been a blessing and had touched the lives of a lot of orphans who were hitherto hopeless after the death of their parents. My best friend victor is an orphan and had lived in the church orphanage for more than ten years. His parents had died from a strange illness called tuberculosis. Victor and I were very young at the time of his parents death. Mother had told me that victors parents were really good people. Mom said that Victor's father have been a very dedicated servant of God who had given alot to the church . He was not exactly a rich man, but the little he had, him and his wife never hesitated to share with the needy around him. After his death, the church never looked back on his two children: victor and Mary. Mom says that victor and Mary are as kind and good as their late parents and I totally believed her. Through the help of the church's foundation and the donations of a lot of well wishers who were also church members, victor and his sister were able to live a fairly comfortable life without passing through the many pains associated with losing a parent at an early age. Victor and his sister had both completed their high school education and would hopefully get admitted to the city's university later this year. I forgot to mention they victor is really a brilliant boy who's very good in maths. Mom also said that he took after the brains of his late father. Thanks a lot my dear friends for giving me another chance to express myself. Love you 💗

Pls I'm sorry I'm so sorry my dear friends. I so sorry that I left the way I did. Believe me it wasn't on purpose neither was it because I didn't find Tue platform interesting. For the past two weeks ta I were absent, I have always had you all in mind. I still remeber the warm el one you all gave me in my first articles. I remember the love, care and sympathy that you all showed me when u lost my tango. I am so sorry that I disappointed y'all by leaving the way I did I remember that ma'am @gertu13 said that she was looking forward to my next article. I remember @GarrethGrey07 when she said that I reminded her of her cute lovely son. I hope your son is doing well ma'am. I also member the encouraging words of @FarmGirlr @Theblackdoll and many friends had made at the time A very unfortunate incident happened to me, friends. My device was snatched away from me by some mischievous fellows. On that fateful day, mom sent me on an errand to get some foodstuffs for the house. I thought it was going to be a wonderful experience for me as this was my first time going to the market on my own. Mom had always disapprove letting me go to the market on my own. She feared that i might lose the money or it would be stolen away from me. Mom had already taught me how to cook. It wouldn't be a bad idea if she starts allowing me to go buy stuffs from the market on my own, I persuaded her. I was excited when she finally agreed. I couldn't wait till the time I return home from the market and tell mom how I had successfully bargained the prices of items. Several times, I have seen mom winning an haggle with a seller and I have always been impressed by this. I thought I could learn how to do this too. I thought she would be proud of me if I could do it too. At the market, after I had made the purchases, I decided to get something to eat at an open restaurant close to the main road before taking a trip back home.I bought a modest meal and sat down on a wooden bench. Minutes after I had began to eat, two young men came to sit at either of my sides. I thought they were customers who also came to eat. Never did I know that they were smooth criminals. I felt the body of one of them brush my sides awkwardly, and in that brief movement, my phone and money was lifted off from my pocket without my knowing. They quickly excuse themselves as they stood up and announce to the food seller that they have to leave immediately, as their attention was immediately needed somewhere else. They told her that they would come back for the food, then left. I thought how strange this was but didn't think much about it. As soon as I finished my meal, I dipped my hands into my pocket to produce my wallet. But to my wildest surprise, my phone and wallet were gone. My heart missed a beat, then continued to bang violently against my sides and I swallowed hard. With tears eyes, I informed the food vendor that my phone and money had been stolen. She immediately declared that they were stolen by the two men that just left. I felt very devastated and miserable that I could hardly walk. The food vendor tried to console me but I couldn't help crying uncontrollably. I couldn't even imagine that I would be without a phone for sometime. What increased my pains was the fact that I just opened a new account on readcash have already started making wonderful friends.... Thank God, I still had my "seed phrase" which was writing clearly on the back of an old journal ofy dad. I returned home feeling dejected and mom became very sad too when I told her about the incident. She promised to get me another phone as soon as she had the money. Mom was able to get me a new phone yesterday from her savings in the month of January I have been very down and depressed, knowing that I had missed alot of fun here. I hope you all will accept me back. I pray @TheRandomRewarder would accept me back. Thank you dear @Talecharm for the sponsorship, I only got to see it this money after all this while. So sorry my dear friends 💔💔💔

Me and my Tango. Hello every one, trust y'all are all having a nice day. Really glad to be here and I pray I enjoy the time here. Well I am just 20 and I hadn't much experience about life. But I am quite optimistic that I d gain a lot of lessons from the wonderful friends I would hopefully make here. I remember those days while i was still a school boy. It feels real good when you got a question asked by a teacher correctly when the other classmates are unable to answer. For a moment , you would feel as if you were on top of the world, what's more spectacular is the applause that would be given to you by the rest of the classmates on the teacher's order. It becomes more wonderful if it were a new teacher cause you would immediately make a good first impression on him. Trust me, it really feels cool when a new teacher gets to know your name first in the class especially when he believes you are the smartest. I remember when i was in junior seconday school 2, I did so well in my exams and I emerged the overall second position in the class when the results were out. Mom was so full of joy that she bought me a very special football called ***tango*** whose type was very rare in our city. The type that was seen in the screens of our television during international competition between nations. I think that was one of the most happiest moments of my life . I became a very famous kid both in the neighborhood and at school. Every other boy would want to be my friend so that they would have the opportunity to play with my tango. I can remember vividly how I would always clutch my "tango" close to the side of my chest everywhere I went. At night, I will place it by my side while sleeping and it would be the first the I saw in the morning when I woke up. Mom was quite worried at my over attachment to the tango. She became very concern when my grades began to drop as I stop taking my books as serious as before ever since she bought me the tango. Mom was very furious with me when she saw my results and found out I have performed poorly in the new term. I wasn't really bothered as my whole world revolve around my tango. Of course mom knew the tango was the bane of my embarrassing results and she took it away from me the following day. she siad that she would only allow me to play with it on saturdays and Sundays as I wouldn't be allowed to have it on weekdays. Mom insisted I should focus more on my studies on these days. This came as heavy blow to me and I felt like fainting. My tango had become part of my life and mom was about to take it away from me? I cried and was depressed for days. I refused to eat mum's meal for three days as a form of revenge. I knew mom would be very worried and would never allow me to starve. And of course it worked. Mom came to sit beside me and continued to plead with me to eat. She explained to me that it is more important for me to focus on my education now that I was young, rather than fooling around with a leather ball. I disagreed with her and told her that my tango is what makes me happy. As a matter of fact, it gives me ten times more happiness than the pages of paper. Mom was utterly shocked to hear this and I quickly realize my mistake. I really have got to win her over rather than make her more adamant on releasing my ball. So, I promptly promised her that I wouldn't allow my tango affect my performance in class any more. I would from now henceforth dedicate more more time to my studies and would only play with my tango when its necessary to play. Afterall "All work done, no play makes rehi a dull boy". I told my mom. Mom was quite convinced and she let me have my tango again. The bell rang and it was time to go home. I majestically walked out of the classroom, with head proud and my tango by my side. My friends were already eagerly waiting for me outside. In the class, we had already decided that we would play one more game of football with my tango before going home. The game started and we had a lot of fun as usual. None of us realize that it was fast getting late and our parents might be worried already. Out of nowhere, Sam the class bully emerge on the field. Sam was actually the biggest boy in our class and he really had an intimidating frame. But since we were already far gone and lost in our game,we didnt even notice his presence . Then all of a sudden, a friend of mine kicked my tango too high. As we all stopped with our heads raised high ( including sam) to watch as it flew, eagerly anticipating it landing position, it landed directly on Sam's big face. And that' was when we realized that we had company. Sam screamed in pain and held his bloodied nose. The rest of us were horrified and couldn't move as blood continued to drip from Sam's nose. Then, the biggest horror greeted me. Sam grabbed my tango from the ground and picked up a nearby nail. With a brutish force and aggression, he furiously stab my tango with the big nail. He continued to jab at it with the nail, and with each thrust he made, I felt a stabbing pain in my heart as it continue to pound as if it would explode out of my chest. I stood there looking at him with tears streaming down in my face in torrents. My head felt dizzy and my legs began to quake and one of my little friends rushed to my side to support me. When Sam had finished, he threw a battered and shredding tango at me. I felt my heart broke into a thousand pieces as I fell on my knees and began to wail uncontrollably. Sam nose have since stopped bleeding and he gave me an ugly grin and ran away towards the main road. With my crushed tango in my right hand, I manage to walk back home in severe pains. Mom was already coming out of the house and was about going to look for me at the school. As soon as she saw my tear-stained face, she became alarmed and frantically began to search me from head to toe to check wether I was hurt. When she was convinced I was unharmed, she breathed a sigh of relieve even though after I told her what has happened to my tango. She took me into the house and went straight into the kitchen to bring my meal. I burst into fresh tears and lost my appetite when i remembered how Sam had tore my tango to Pieces. Mom took me in her hands as i cried on her chest and she did her best to console me. For a moment , i wanted to ask her to get me a new tango, but I knew she wouldn't. Maybe she was pleased that there were no more tango to distract me from my studies again. Thank you so much for reading this little story of mine. Being Single and unhoused. Hello everyone. Irrespective of the a number of advantages to comes along being single. Sometimes I wonder if its a crime being single. Hello dear readers. My name is Abdulrahman and I have been searching for a modest accommodation for almost three months now without success. After I completed my university education, I began to live with an elder cousin who has a two room apartment and its almost three years now. No doubt my cousin is generous and he was actually the one that brought the idea of us living together since he had been living alone for a long time . By the way, he's a banker, he leaves for work very early in the morning and comes back home around 9:oopm. So I usually have the whole apartment to myself. My cousin actually have a fiancé who studied at a university in a neighboring city. She had just completed her education this year. Any moment from now, she would return to my city where she would definitely be staying with her fiance. As soon as I became aware of this fact, I have been desperately searching for my an apartment within the city but to no avail. I must say, securing an accommodation in my city is very difficult particularly, when you are an unmarried young person. I dont just know why, but alot of landlords and landladies have this mentality that you would be irresponsible. Two weeks ago, I saw a decent apartment and I paid the rent upfront. I came around the following day to have another look at the place before I finally move my things in. As I was still observing the room, the landlord walked in. He was obviously an elderly man. I greeted him and I engaged him in a light discussion. We talked about this and that, then he threw an unexpected question towards me. He asked me about my wife and weather I had a kid. I smiled and replied that I was single. His contenance immediately changed and he left me without saying a word. Later in the evening when I had returned home, I got a message from the housing agent that the owner of the house have returned the money I paid for the accommodation. According to him, the landlord does not admit single men amd women into his property. I later learnt that he had series of bitter experiences with former tenants who were also bachelors . I was told about a former tenant who always come late at night drunk after spending hours at a club. In this drunken state, he would puke all over the compound and sleep in his vomit till day break. The landlord found this very disgusting and had to send him away in less than a year. I also heard of another unmarried tenant who was a chronic womaniser, he had different ladies visiting his room almost on a daily basis. he literally turned the house into a mini hotel which of course made the landlord very furious. He couldn't tolerate such level of immorality so he send that one parking too. No doubt, he would definitely be a bad influence to his young kids. He probably thought that, as a bachelor i had the same way of living but God knows that I am totally different. I was well brought up by my late parents and would never live a corrupt and dirty life like the rest. Although , I don't blame owner of the property for nursing such thoughts about me..... As the saying goes.. **Once** **bitten**, **twice** **shy**. The following week I got another accommodation which was just a few streets away from the previous one. The owner of the house was an elderly widow. no doubt she inherited the property from her husband. As soon as I mentioned that I was a bachelor, she started listing some stringent rules that I should always adhere to if she were to allow me to have an apartment in her house. Do you smoke? She asked me. Of course i am not a smoker and I gave her a No. She also said that consumption of alcohol won't be tolerated in her house and I agreed. She warned me that wherever I go, I should always return back to the house before 10pm, I readily agreed to this too. She also said that she wouldn't want me to be bringing too many friends to her house. I readily agreed to this, by the way I am an introvert who only have a handful of friends. Finally, she insisted that I would always join the other tenants in cleaning the environment around the house every weekend. As a matter of fact I agreed to all her terms and she was surprised by this. Two days later, I came around to the house again. Ladies and gentlemen, I was once again discriminated against just because I didnt have a wife. The old lady told me that she had given the house to another person ( obviously a married man). According to her, he was willing to pay twice of what I was offering for the property. I knew this was a lie but there was nothing I could do. Maybe she thought that I wouldn't stick to the terms and conditions she gave earlier . she thought that i might later disappoint her after she let me in. I walked back to my cousin's place feeling dejected and cheated. Just yesterday, I was directed to another apartment which was up for rent . This apartment was also owned by an old lady. I introduced my self and as expected she too had her reservations about single people. But this time around I was determined. I tried my best to make her realize that I was far more decent than most kids in the area. By the way, I wasn't born or bred in this hood, so it would be very wrong to judge me based on what you see other young people around you doing. I further asked her weather she had any children and she told me her grown up son was about the same age as me. Then I asked her how would she feel if her son was in the same predicament as me. Would she be Happy if her son was always being cruficied or denied opportunities because of the sins of others? She considered this for a long moment. She told me that her son was a good boy and wouldn't want him to pass through difficulties. Then, immediately, i told her that she should see me as her son and I would treat her as my mom and I Meant it. I promised her never to cross my boundaries. I would also pay my rent on time, even earlier than the other married folks living in the house. This made her laugh. She looked at me for some moments then smiled and handed the keys of the apartment to me. ******************************* Thank you so much for taking your time to read my story. I am actually new here and I pray to make as many friends as possible. Pls do like and subscribe to my account if you believe in me. Thanks o
