Chill'hustler's: is the name I'll be calling my dear readers starting today.
The hardest part as a family provider is to left home and move away from city to city just to find a job where in we fell valued and contented.
We all know that the COVID-19 third strain DELTA is slowing raging here in Cebu Philippines and the Government is now back on its higher and tighter restrictions to control and contain the number of cases with the hope of it not spreading anymore.
The City of Cebu is now back again to ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine) and MECQ (Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine). As of the moment, It was a hard decision for the higher Government Officials of the Province but they don't have a choice. Most of the Hospitals in the Province wether it is Public or Private Hospitals are out of bed capacities and fully occupied. So let's be observant in this unprecedented times again.
My COVID-19 Fears
Last year, when the first case was recorded here in our beloved Country, Philippines. It was traumatic for me. I'm a family oriented person and a proud Mama's Boy, so the first thing that comes to my mind during those times is that, what if I got Positive and worst, died in the process. It would be nice if I well be home before anything could happen.
As the lockdowns continues during those time and I was working on an essential finance provider company, we are still on duty. Imagine the weigh of fears in those times we are dealing without any hazard pay. I was always bothered by the thought of resigning from work and comeback home, but still my obligations are way bigger than leaving my work and left jobless. So I did survive last year's 2020 lockdown when the first strain reach and spread in the Philippines.
Before we go straight to my Coming Home Voyaged, let me share y'all this word I found on the web that I used on the title of this article chill'hustler's: LIVILENCE
Livilence - is the mix eerie calmness and nostalgia experienced when returning to the home one grow up in long after moving away.
Finally HOME
The pandemic restrictions here in Cebu and Bohol Philippines up until now is still so high and strict when it comes to entering or leaving the province. Personally, my permanent address is in Bohol and during the lockdown I was forced to be stagnant here in Cebu. Going home is way to absurd for the minimum wager and below. Like for the swab test alone, the lowest available rate is Five Thousand Pesos (P 5,000.00) if your not a Phil-health member. Imagine that amount guys, good thing I have my Phil-heath ID with me but still the rate for a single swab is One Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety One Pesos (P 1,591.00) and still a very high amount of money for a minimum wager.
Luckily, I manage to save a little from my salary and got the chance to come home after One Year, Five Months and Three Weeks to be exact chill'hustler's. That's the longest number of days I was away from home.
It happened las June 20, of this year and it was the perfect time coming home, with my Mama recovering from her breast cyst removal. Her whole left side breast was removed last March 25, also of this year. It was a nerve racking experience for the whole family because during the operation my Mama keeps on bleeding too much and instead of a four (4) hours operation timetable, it was all done in six (6) hours. During the operation I was in a state of wanting to fly fast to the hospital or maybe teleport but that's all are in fantasies only. During this moments also I was slapped by the truth of how badly i messed up my life and cause to much pain and stress to my Mama chill'hustler's. So I was beyond happy seeing my cute and beautiful fam back at home and enjoyed the moment because it was also or Annual Barangay Fiesta in celebration of Our Patron, Saint Peter.
Winding Up
All in all, the pandemic and the stress or toll it has given to us is way bigger than we can imagine, only the poor and the poorest of the poor suffer too much from this lockdowns and closing of establishments and other institutions. The Government here is slowly inching it's decisions again to raise the restrictions again back to ECQ, and for sure many are afraid again and in worry of where to find it's next meal because it feels like the government doesn't have enough funds already to provide for the affected areas.
I hope and pray that this pandemic may end as soon as possible chill'hustler's and this all I solemnly pray to Our Heavenly Father above. Amen...!!!
