Who would love to go fly with me to the beach? Well, we're not going to fly in a real sense. We will go travel at an Airplane-Themed Hostel. You heard it. And of course, you can find that again in my town - San Juan, La Union. Winner!
There it is! The plane is the hostel itself.
It was on a weekend when my daughter and I decided to go on a beach walk. Before the pandemic, we used to do weekend beach walking and bar/resort hopping just to go eat and take photos. It's like a weekend breather routine for us just to get away from an exhausting week of work, school, and all. So that time, we agreed to go to the airplane-theme surf hostel. They call this Charlie's Hangar Surf Hostel.
Charlie's Hangar is located in the heart of the surfing town, Urbiztondo. A 5-minute ride from our house. The hostel offers some cozy and inexpensive rooms with electronic keycard access and wifi. They have an 8-bed dorm, a 6-bed dorm, and a 4-bed dorm.
They also offer bunk beds inside the plane. Each bunk has its own blind to be drawn for some additional privacy and protection. It is also an isolated beachfront away from the groups and crowds but close enough to get into the core of the Elyu (L.U. - La Union) activities.
If you are a backpacker or a solo traveler, or a digital nomad this is perfect for you guys. Actually this pandemic, they offer rates to those who are working remotely. read.cash bloggers are absolutely welcome.
Updated rates below:
Daily rate is Php1,150.00/head per day
Weekly rate is Php4,599.00/head for 7 nights

In-room and roof deck working space
Weekly linen-change and room disinfection
Assigned bathroom stalls
Scheduled used of the communal kitchen
Close to Transit
Parking is available on the premises
Hammocks & hammock space for rent on the property
Just outside the hostel door is the beach
You can surf right outside the doors
Camping grounds & outdoor showers on site
Picnic tables and grills are available for guests
Communal showers and toilets are available on each floor including a bidet
Each bunk has its own charging port
Drinking water faucets are available throughout the hostel
So if you're planning to visit my town San Juan, this is another unique spot for you. It is located just after Roca Villa (The Santorini-inspired resort I posted yesterday). The photos above were taken 2 years ago and at that time, it was under construction and they were intending to make this plane as a resto-bar. Taking photographs here is totally free.
Another plus point of visiting the place is the perfect sunset view and it's pet-friendly. Fur babies are welcome as long as you care for them throughout your stay. Your pets are also welcome to share your bunk or your room with you. How nice, isn't it?
What are you waiting for? The waves and the sunset are now waiting for your presence. Try some beach and surf things out. Dip your toes into the sand, feel the salty air that touches your skin, take your load up out onto the waves, or simply chill, relax, unwind and just be in one of their DC-3 planes, taking in the ravishing perspectives on the seashore.
So, see you soon!
There are a lot more awesome hostels, resorts, and restaurants near Charlie's and here in the surfing area. Next time, I'll take you on another virtual flight for more amazing fun getaways.
I am getting off early today because I am going to fly next town early tomorrow to enroll my daughter for this coming school year.
Good evening to each and everyone of you, my friends. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Stay nice and awesome. Live and let live. Xoxo.
One love

I wish this pandemic will be over tomorrow. So I could travel there. I love the ambiance. It feels like it is where will I find peace and who knows a potential. "The one" hehehe
