Hey guys! Good to see you on my new article. And before I tell you what I want to tell you, I'll offer a couple of examples to help you understand what we're talking about today:

You helped an old lady neighbor to take out the trash - nothing, just a simple human "thank you". Asking her to nail up a shelf is no big deal. No big deal. An hour's work and there it is, a brand new shelf, as it should be: neat and tidy. Or a neighbor bought a new sofa and called me to help him assemble it. Started in the morning and finished in the evening. It is also no big deal. A neighbor. You have to help each other, just like that, in a human way.

And at home waiting for the old crushed sofa and not nailed for several years shelf. There is no time, or no one to help, or those to whom you helped before, they want money. Ungrateful, aren't they? Oh, this mercantile world.

It's about the same at work. Staying late to help a colleague or supervisor finish a job is no problem. Going out to work on your day off without pay is easy. Substitute for a colleague on a shift again for a "thank you" - sure!

But here again, the same rake: colleagues are not delayed for not their work, the changer not on his shift without pay refuses to go out.

And what is interesting: all these people live better, in more prosperity. While some are ashamed to take money for their work, others do it without remorse. Brazenly looking in the face, saying that their help costs so much, or hire professionals. Or as an alternative: suffer yourself.

Surely you have noticed that, holding the same position, employees in one company may receive different amount of money. Conventionally, when one is paid fifteen, the other is paid fifty. In the eyes of his colleagues, he is perceived as smart and talented, but he is not. He's just not afraid to get paid for his work. He is not ashamed to receive it. His conscience does not torment him to estimate himself in that amount.

A man who is ashamed of his wages is seen immediately in the team. He is boisterously active, working from morning till night, taking on extra duties without pay while others allow themselves to chill while minding their own business. All his activity is to justify the amount of his earnings, which seems to be more than he deserves.

They often can't stand it and go to another company for the same position, but with less pay. Where's the logic in that? From the outside there may not be any. But in the heads of these people it is that lower wages are comfortable for them. That is the amount they value their work. And getting more for such nonsense is unforgivable and embarrassing.

While some people justify their poverty with low wages, others earn several times as much and work less. The former are jealous of the latter, but there is nothing they can do about it.

It is not easy to break out of the vicious circle of thinking of a poor person, where the same poor are ready to help without compensation, and then to chew empty pasta and lament how unfair life is. To voice the cost of your trifling services is mind-boggling. No, it's not. To realize that time, effort, and skill cost money is where the abyss of insanity opens up.

In justifying themselves, poor people often complain that wages are low and that there is no work at all. Where can one find wealth if there is destruction all around? And when there are vacancies with high wages, they say it is all a lie and deceit. It cannot be like that.

And they say a lot of other things in the same vein. But they don't get richer from it.

They will remain poor, because they are ashamed to receive money for their work.

some just remain poor because that's what they think they're only capable of. That's the main problem why some people remain poor, just like what Daria said, "poverty mentality"

Dear Belozoriana, you are absolutely right, I have dealt with all these people. Some people are ashamed of getting a high salary, and don't consider it worthy of them, but others value everything they do and sell it at a high price, and interestingly, they also have a lot of customers...

These reasons have really point. I agree with these behind their poverty.

We should do our best to get out of rid for being poor.

A person should be confident of what he can do and make sure his compensation matches his talent and skills. Being born poor might be our parents' fault but dying poor is ours.

This reminds me of what we call poverty mentality. They're doing extra work without compensation and they hope someone will notice and help but when that doesn't happen, they say the world is unfair. It is good to help but when necessary, one should always demand adequate compensation for a job done, it increases a person's value
