Is There More? Earlier, I was shuffling through my music playlist as it has been a while I listened to music playlist and I was feeling a bit nostalgic about my playlist. So many different genre make up my playlist, from country music to indie to dance to pop to RnB to Rap to alternative music. Really one h*ll of a playlist. I remember when I had my first internet-enabled phone many years ago (2011) I used to download songs one at a time, master every lyrics and after playing it over a thousand times over, I delete, download another and repeat again. Not until I got my first phone with expandable memory did I stop deleting songs. Over the years, My playlist have grown in numbers as it has diversified in genre. I can say that I am a music lover, and I can say that I have a song for any mood you can think of. I remember years back I had just come out of the bathroom and getting ready for my morning exam and singing to the lyrics of a song blaring from the speaker of my phone I said to my roommate about how easy it is to remember the lyrics of songs and not what you have read in preparation for exams. I suppose it is usually so because of how many times you hear a song play over and over. Music has been therapeutic for me over the years, whenever I feel down, I'd just go to my playlist and look for Passenger's album (All The Little Lights specifically) and just bask in the poetry that is his music. It has helped lift my moods many times before and has served as a bonding agent between me and friends. I am the kind of guy to download a full album if I like just one track in it. This is mainly because I like my playlist organised and my music with album art cover. Feel free to call me weird. The nostalgia I felt scrolling through my playlist today came with the perplexed thought of how little I have listened to music in recent times, I think perhaps since I am writing more now, I have become less inclined to seek music for therapeutic purpose. At least, not as I used to, could the constant writing of thoughts and emotions be the reason for this or is it that I have had no need for music therapy in recent times? ***I would like to hear from my readers how they feel about music, and what it means to them.*** I came across Drake's *Is There More* and decided to play it for the first time in a long time. This song was often a reminder for me about what more is to life. An excerpt from the song lyrics goes: ***"...What you got? Time on your hands or time on your side?*** ***Is there more to life than going on trips to Dubai?*** ***Yachts on the 4th of July, G5 soaring the skies*** ***Is there more to life than all of these corporate ties?*** ***And all of these fortunate times?...*** ***Am I missing something that's more important to find?*** ***Like healing my soul, like family time*** ***Is there more to life than just when I'm feeling alive?*** ***Is there more?"*** My initial intention had been actually to write about the excerpt above, taking one line at a time so I can talk about the questions and ask questions of my own too. But I got carried away in the first paragraph and started writing about music and my playlist generally. I would like you read the excerpt above and tell me if it sparks any thought or question in your mind. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Intuition As the cool darkness that comes with dusk brings the night on this Tuesday, a new month and day will be born at the stroke of midnight, before dawn shines its light to scare away the darkness that brought the end of May with it. What I thought of just before I started writing this article was the goal I had set for May. Though, I haven't had the time to do my review for the month, I am sure that this is my 30th article in the month of May, which is just one short of achieving the goal of one article a day for a month. I can't help but wonder which month will be the month I get to publish every day for the first time. Oh well, I should applaud myself for what I have achieved as I caught what is relatively excellence chasing perfection seeing as 30 is the most articles I have published in a month since I joined read.cash in December. Enough of that talk, today, I am writing about something I observed while I was at my aunt's place yesterday. It is basically about intuition. Last Friday, I got a call from my aunt to come help her out with her business and also keep an eye on my cousins because she had to rush her helper to the hospital. It was an unexpected call, so I had to get ready as soon as I could so as to go over to her place. It wasn't quite clear to me what the was responsible for the young lady's illness, but, for there to be panic from my aunt, it had to be something serious. Getting to my aunt's house, I asked my cousin what had happened and shortly after got another call from my aunt. I went to the hospital two times that day to deliver some basic supplies for my aunt and also some money which she needed for the hospital bills. On getting there, I saw she was on drip the first time, and the second time I came, they were doing blood transfusion on her. I had to sleepover at the house because my aunt was sleeping over at the hospital. Fortunately, they were discharged on Saturday afternoon then I had to go home because I had some personal engagements to attend to. My aunt had called me again on Monday morning to come help her out as she wasn't feeling well too. I came and that was when she told me her maid was going back to her family. She gave me reasons why she had no choice but to let her go back. Now, what I know is that the maid is going on a one way trip back home, although, the maid had no idea this was the case, or so I thought. I had heard her asking with a teary voice repeatedly if she was coming back. It felt as though I was abetting a crime. I was told she went to her room and was crying her eyes out. My aunt too was emotional about it, and there I was instead of trying to calm someone down, I was selfishly thinking about how the situation was article-worthy. How selfish of me. I thought about the power of intuition, and how often our intuitions are right. The young lady had the gut-feeling she wouldn't be coming back, and she was right. One of the reason I had not advised my aunt against her decision to send her back was because she was following her intuition. I know better than to advise anyone against what their gut tells them. I have often bite my myself for not following my guts I almost always end up regretting it and that is why I have made a conscious choice to always go with my gut feeling more often. Intuitions I like to think is our sixth sense, and it tells us things from our subconscious. I hope my dear readers will start listening to their intuition more often, Let me be the first to wish you all a happy new month, it is the 6th month of the year, which means we are almost halfway through the year. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Truisms That Aren't True (Part Two) About 4 months ago, specifically in January, I wrote about truisms that aren't true, you can read the article here. Today, I'd like to revisit the topic and write about certain things I believe are common *truths* in the society, but are they really? To reiterate the meaning of truisms according to Oxford English dictionary, **TRUISMS** mean *statements that are clearly true and does not therefore add anything interesting or important to a discussion*. https://read.cash/@Aimure/truisms-that-arent-true-604c8121 Let's get on with my truisms for today, shall we? **BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER** In terms of it's physical properties, this is absolutely right, and also in the biological sense because blood can coagulate. As a figure of speech, it means FAMILY ABOVE ALL. I am one who holds family above all. While I believe there are two types of family; the ones we don't choose (those related to us by blood) and the ones we choose (our friends). Sometimes, as a matter of fact, blood isn't thicker than water. You'd hear stories about family killing family and family betraying family. These family related to you by blood can sometimes do the worse things to you, much more than any stranger can. If you think I am wrong, I can point you to reading Kushyzee's **When your own family turns their back on you** and see if I am wrong. https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/when-your-own-family-turns-their-back-on-you-48aa6f12 I guess my point is that blood isn't always thicker than water, not for some at least. **A LEOPARD CANNOT CHANGE ITS SKIN** Have you considered what if the leopard had access to a dermatologist or a Vet Dermatologist, it could probably change its skin 😂😂. Oh well, I reckon we all know this actually means people can't change their behaviour. Permit me to politely disagree. It is a common saying that change is constant, well it is a bit ironic to use that which can be called a truism to prove another truism isn't true. But we can all agree that people can change, good people can become bad people and bad people can be good. A armed robber can change is ways and become repentant. Humble people can become egoistic and egoistic people can become humble too. The point is that if the leopard really wants to, it can change its skin. **ELDERS ARE WISE AND SHOULD BE RESPECTED** I very much think this by no means holds no truth and whomever came up with this was trying to compel younger people to listen to the elderly. Truth is that we often romanticise about how elderly people are knowledgeable and filled with wisdom, but this is not entirely true. Harsh as it may sound, not everyone is wise and even those on the other side of the '*wisdom spectrum'* get old too. Truth is that being older increases your chances of being more experienced as you may have gone through what someone younger is going through when you are that age, but that doesn't make the older person wiser or all-knowing, Not everyone learns from experience, and not everyone will also experience what others have experienced. Perhaps this is a bit unclear, but let me elaborate a bit more. In my country, most tradition forbids you to be rude or for you to question the words of the elderly. While I subscribe to the socially acceptable behaviour, I also believe everyone deserves a certain level of respect for being human irrespective of their age. Until they do otherwise to prove they don't deserve the respect or do something that will further cement that respect and take it to a higher level. This privilege deserved of everyone (old and young) seems to have become an entitlement for the elderly. The elderly can be disrespectful to you as they see fit but you are not to respond to them rudely irrespective of how they have been to you. Else there would be the talk about you lacking a proper upbringing. **CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT** This is a common saying in my part of the world, most especially used by customers to aid their propaganda, whatever it may be. Many customers have taken advantage of the calm and gentle nature of sellers to be all form of rude. I remember when I had to engage some customers about the price of a commodity which goes for $1 as our retail price. I heard one of them say a Spar even sells for less than $1**.** With a straight face I said to him: "That is Spar, we are not Spar. Spar buys directly from the company while we have to go through middlemen. Also, If you were to go to Spar right now to buy this commodity, if you factor in you cost of transportation, won't you spend more than the $1 we sell for?" Everyone present stopped and starred at me as though the answer to my question was in their silence. Although, I could almost hear them processing how a young person like me would be so straightforward talking to an older man. The man I had asked the question became silent as though it wasn't him I was talking to. I have had my fair share of encounter with customers, and if you aren't careful, there is a good chance they my just push you to react unreasonably because of the things they say thinking they are always right irrespective of what they say. I am sure readers have had an experience relating to what I have mentioned above. Also, if you have a thing or two to say with respect to what I have talked about, feel free to share in the comment section. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

FRIENDS : Danika Yesterday was eventful for me, after the morning service, I had to rest a bit before going to the local field to watch the team (a story for another time) play an important game, which we won. So, a good day it was overall. I have decided to continue my FRIENDS series and ladies and gentlemen, this is the last and final part, you can catch up reading the other parts using the links below: https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-mhizutty-86e23a03 https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3 https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-talon-a418134c People were starting to wonder what f I knee everyone on read.cash. Hehehe. Let's get down to it alright? http://read.cash When, where, and how did you guys meet? I don't think I remember exactly, which is really strange 😅😅. But I do know it was in 2018, and most definitely would have been in my faculty. Really finding it hard to remember how exactly as I have lots of memories of us from that time. What was your first impression of them? Again, I don't remember😅😅. This is very strange for me if I am being honest. But I guess a lot of things that happened that time is responsible for my 'amnesia' 😂. **Did you think that you could be friends?** Perhaps if I remembered the first impression of them, I would have been able to answer this perfectly. Although, considering how I feel about it his question, it is likely I didn't think about it at all. s I have said in previous parts of this series, I usually don't think about whether or not me and someone else could be friends to avoid unnecessary pressure and awkwardness. If it is going to happen, it should happen on its own. **What's the most memorable moment you had with them? Or each of them.** Oh this is quite interesting because I had a lot of memories with him especially in my first year in the university. At that time, it was almost impossible to see one of us without seeing the other because we spent most of the time together. I remember our conversations on our way to the school library and how we stood in front of the library a couple of times talking about life, Christianity, our academics among others. All these are special memories in my head but I'll choose the time I visited him in his hostel as the most memorable. There was something **What do you think is the thing that made you bonded?** I would definitely say both our zeal and enthusiasm towards our academics was a major bonding agent for us. That was indeed something that made us spend a lot of time going to the library to read, talking about what was easy and difficult to read, among other things. Another thing was the fact that I spoke his language, and he was my course mate too. How would you describe each of them as a person and as a friend? As a person, he is calm and even though he can be erratic sometimes 😂. I think he's more calm though. Also, he makes the funniest facial expressions. He is hardworking too. As a friend, he's dependable. And has come through for me in times I needed someone too. 🙌🙌 **If you could do life over and choose your friends, will you choose them again?** Hehe. The chances are good too, since we bonded quite well when we met, so it is likely that we'd be friends again. **If there's something you can give them, what would you give them, why?** Haha. I am not sure about this one. Perhaps money too, you can't go wrong with giving someone that, can you? 😅😅 So, I guess it will be that I give him. That because I don't know what it is he really wants right now. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Hope and Freedom Today was a rollercoaster of a day for me. I had intended completing the FRIENDS series I have been writing, but it seems that is for another time. My phone has been down for most of the day and I haven't been home too. Came back this evening only to charge as I watched the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid. I must say what a game it was. I really enjoyed it. Liverpool had started the game brightly, but Madrid were calm and composed and stuck with the game plan they came with. In the end, they scored the only goal which was what separated the two teams at full-time. Since it was practically past my writing time and to meet my publishing time, I had to pull out this draft. Got the questions from Olasquare earlier this week and saved it for moments like this. You can read his version here. Let's get on with it, eh? https://read.cash/@Olasquare/choices-b1b648f5 **Intelligent or funny?** I don't know why one can't be intelligent and funny or why there's the impression that intelligent people aren't funny. Well, I would choose intelligent over funny, we can develop the sense of humour later if lacking. Besides, I think you need to be intelligent to understand most of my jokes. **Freedom or hope?** I am a bit confused here 😅. What if I am hoping for freedom? Or my freedom is to have hope? 😂 Don't mind me, I am trying to be philosophical or perhaps trying to convince myself. Hahaha. I think freedom gives me the leverage to do or be whatever I want. So I'll choose Freedom over hope. **Success or happiness?** Aren't both intertwined and completes the other? So I don't want much time, I will like to successfully choose happiness I can't imagine what success is without happiness. Would be bland. Shouldn't success bring happiness too? I guess there is not standard yardstick to measure success, it is subjective from one individual to another. **Money or free time?** 😂😂😂😂 For real, what kind of question is this? Can't money be made in my free time? Oh well, I will trade my free time for money, one million for every two seconds haha. I'd be wealthy isn't it? That is not to undermine the importance of freetime though. It can be spent doing productive things or with family,or just resting after all the hustle. **Handmade gifts or expensive gifts?** Really does depends on who is giving this to me. But I feel one that has been made by hand will be more special to me because of the time and effort that has been put into making the gift. Needless to say, I haven't received much gifts in my lifetime, just a few times when people gifted me things. Believe me, I can count on one hand. 😂 **Hunting or saving?** I remember asking who'd pick hunting over saving. But after further thought, I suppose it depends on the individual. All things considered, I'd pick saving instead. At least, I get to keep something for the future wherein I can afford to go hunting then .😂😂😂 **Trip or staycation?** Trip to where? I have always wanted to travel the world and explore places, see the world and bear witness to Its beauty. Perhaps after living my dream I'd start picking a staycation so I don't have to travel about hehe. Be close to family. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Thanks for the sponsorship renewal @foryoubtc09 I am so happy for your continuous support and really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Friends : Talon This is another of my FRIENDS series, you can catch up with the others using the link below: https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-mhizutty-86e23a03 https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3 Today, I am writing the third part of the series and I know some of you may think *'how do I know so many people here?'* Well, it just so happens word spread and we all decided to try **it** out. Let's get down to business shall we? When, where, and how did you guys meet? I remember vividly the first time I saw Talon or to be safe, let me say that the first time I noticed him was a time in our second semester in 1ooL when we were all in the class talking about the just posted first semester results. I remember some of my classmates talking about all the expectations and reality (make of that what you will) of result. That is a common topic among students, especially when results are out. **What was your first impression of them?** https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#what-was-your-first-impression-of-them I am not sure I remember really. But I do know the day we first met, I was thinking: 'this guy is funny'. I guess rightly so, as it was one of those day Talon is talking and laughing with his eyes opened wide. Haqhaqhaq. That was it really. **Did you think that you could be friends?** https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#did-you-think-that-you-could-be-friends I believe you should be familiar with my answer to this question now. I never meet people and think whether or not we can be friends, if we will be, it just happens. There is no need creating a cycle of expectations and potential disappointment. So, I never have those thoughts. **What's the most memorable moment you had with them? Or each of them.** https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#what039s-the-most-memorable-moment-you-had-with-them-or-each-of-them My sentiments will always get the better of me when it comes to answering this question. As always, I'd pick a private moment it was just the two of us. This moment was more like a weekend together. Hehe don't get it wrong, we are two straight individual. But the weekend was special because of the long conversations we had like Tyrion and Lord Varys in GoT and all the *football event* that went along with it. It was really a weekend we bonding and everything was laid bare. Perhaps, that is what I like to think of it. What do you think is the thing that made you bonded? https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#what-do-you-think-is-the-thing-that-made-you-bonded I think is the fact that we have certain things in common and all the conversations we've had over time among other things. Someone would always say we communicate telepathically. I guess it is sort of a thing of like minds etcetera etcetera. How would you describe each of them as a person and as a friend? https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#how-would-you-describe-each-of-them-as-a-person-and-as-a-friend Really no much words, but permit me to say paradoxical. Explaining it in one word. As a friend, I'd say he has been quite helpful and in a way been like a compass. If you could do life over and choose your friends, will you choose them again? https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#if-you-could-do-life-over-and-choose-your-friends-will-you-choose-them-again Again, I don't think I have much of a choice in this because if I did life again and had the same memories, that would be cheating eh? Also, if I do not have the same memory, wouldn't that mean everything is left to chance and there is a very good chance everything that has happened is repeated the same way? I hope you got the message I am trying to pass across. **If there's something you can give them, what would you give them, why?** https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-kushyzee-f8f3adc3#if-there039s-something-you-can-give-them-what-would-you-give-them-why Most likely... I don't know for sure. Maybe a romantic trip for two in Paris or Timbuktu. Not sure exactly. Maybe lots of money. Who knows? 'Cos I don't hehehe. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` I want to appreciate @gertu13 , @Mictorrani , and @Bloghound for their sponsorship renewals. I appreciate your continuous support for me and what I do. Thank you all very much.

FRIENDS : Kushyzee The day was quite a good one, as I was occupied with what I'll call productive and music to my ears at the same time. This is the second part of my FRIENDS series, you can read the first part here. I'll be answering questions about another wonderful soul. https://read.cash/@Aimure/friends-mhizutty-840524ac **When, where, and how did you guys meet?** Hehe. First time I saw him was in 2018 was at my hostel I'm school. I remember I was outside my room and watching him and his roommate come in the compound and going straight to the room opposite mine. Well, I actually didn't know then that we were coursemates, not until I saw him at the faculty and asking him his course of study. To my surprise, we were coursemates and hostelmates too. 😂 **What was your first impression of them?** I thought 'Yahoo boys' 😂😂 to be honest, as he and his roommate gave off that vibe then. Boy was I wrong? 🌚🌚 But I think it was not hard to see that they are different in a way, and indeed they are. Oh well, that was my first impression. **Did you think that you could be friends?** Again, I don't think this as you can never know how a person is until time reveals more. Even though we were mates in class, course and hostel. Let fate unfold itself. **What's the most memorable moment you had with them? Or each of them.** Hahaha. Again, permit me to be sentimental and choose a personal memory. Oh yes, I'd say the time we were roommates for a week or so 😂. I remember I had to stay in his room because we wanted to move out. Then, his roommate had not resumed, so, I stayed in his room for a while. I even remember we had to go scout for houses too and that day was funny 😂😂. You wouldn't know the value of what you have until you realise what you have is better than what you wish you had. Repairs was done in my room, and after that I moved back in. What do you think is the thing that made you bonded? Oh, I think it is a number of things and it's because we share a lot of things in common. Course, faculty, hostel, sense of humour, sarcasm, not to mention The Big Bang Theory too, as we use to talk about it a lot and cracking jokes only us understand and we laugh to wholeheartedly. In retrospect, those were really special, and I look forward to more of it 😊. How would you describe each of them as a person and as a friend? Unproblematic, really nice and selfless 😂. Chances you see this guy angry is narrower than the road to heaven 😅. Really has been a great friend, and very helpful too. Never a bore and it is so easy laughing and making jokes with him. I love his sense of humour. I think of him as a modern-day Igbo man, always looking for how to make money online. Learnt about read.cash, and introduced me to it. Also, encouraged me to be more active and the importance of patience. He's amazing, really. If you could do life over and choose your friends, will you choose them again? Again, this is another thing I think was destined to be, all things considered 😂. But I think I would. Believe me, there are less than a handful of people who I can laugh with the way I laugh with him. So, yeah, I would. I mean, for me to choose would mean I have met and experienced the same thing too. **If there's something you can give them, what would you give them, why?** Haha, I know something he really wants right now is a laptop and that's what I would give him now. Why? Because that's what he wants and needs too I reckon. Or maybe a VR headset too, not that plastic you got that time 😹😹😹. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Special thanks to my newest sponsor @Ellawrites for the sponsorship. I appreciate the gesture and support ma'am. Thanks go @Tomi-Ajax for the sponsorship renewal I am so happy and appreciate your support sir.

FRIENDS : Mhizutty I had saved this prompt over a month ago from Meitanteikudo's article. Said I would post about it, but haven't done that since then. I had decided to write about my **FRIENDS** who are here on read.cash as I think that would be best. Since they are more than one and I don't want to write about all of them in one article so that it doesn't make the article itself messy, I have decided to split it into parts and take the questions one after the other, answering for one person at a time. Decided to be a gentleman and go lady(s) first. 😏 https://read.cash/@meitanteikudo/squad-goals-db7b213a http://read.cash **When, where, and how did you guys meet?** I would say in class as that would pretty much sum it up😂, in my first year if I remember correctly. I was quiet and more of an observer, and she is quite noticeable 🌚🌚. I am sure she gets what I mean. 😂 **What was your first impression of each of them?** I honestly thought she's a good girl and that she was occupied with things outside school because it seemed as though she was always in a hurry to go back home. 😹 It wasn't until later I got to understand why though. **Did you think that you could be friends?** In all fairness, I never thought about it as that's not exactly what I think about. People and I just end up being friends. I think if I started by thinking we could be friends, I'd want to start doing things to ensure we are friends. That can be awkward for all parties involved, and it may seem forced too. So, instead, let's relax and let nature take its course. **What's the most memorable moment you had with them? Or each of them.** I'd say with her, there are a lot of it, and I can't exactly pinpoint one as the most memorable. In fact, thinking about it is mixing up all the memories we have had together, and there are many. But I want to be sentimental and pick one it was just the two of us. Say maybe I'll go for a time we were teammates at a game of charade, and we got a perfect score. That would be the most memorable for me as it was a time I wasn't the most "accessible". **What do you think is the thing that made you bonded?** 😂😂😂 She'll probably be the one to answer that I guess. But lets say there were times when talking to each other was so easy to do and there's always laughter and teasing and seriousness and we go again and again. Particularly during the lockdown 😂😂. If only we had a dollar for every SMS we sent and received at that time eh? I think she understands my mood the most too. There was also the lockdown period we were conversing like everyday and surprisingly, it wasn't on the internet. 😂😂 **How would you describe each of them as a person and as a friend?** There are many words I can use to describe her. Maybe there's no one perfect adjective I can use. But as a person, she's probably the one I know with the biggest heart (maybe that heart don small). Loveable and well organised too. As a friend, she's a pleasure and pain in my ass at the same time 😁. Can disturb and bug you until you do her bidding. I still love you sha, luckily for you. Keep being yourself as that's the original you. **If you could do life over and choose your friends, will you choose them again?** I think it is no coincidence we are friends, the series of events that led to it is not a coincidence. So I think in another life, we'd still be friends because a series of event will lead to it happening. So I don't think my choice is in this however I look at it. 😂😂😂 **If there's something you can give them, what would you give them, why?** If I could I'd give her the latest Samsung phone and I think we know why 😂😂😂. So she can keep smiling every time sshe poses for a picture, she has the biggest smile at those moments. 😊 `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Winning Mentality: Power of The Mind The mind is a powerful tool, and people really need to start harnessing it's power. Last Sunday, was the last day of the English Premier League for 2021/2022 season win would guarantee Man City winners of the league. I watched the game and saw the team fight from beginning to end, looking for a win. In fact, they believed they would win and that belief didn't falter even when they were two goals behind. They were more convinced they'd win the game than their opponents were. This was what I took from the game that day. Their belief worked for them as they turned a two-goal deficit around and took a one-goal lead in the 81st minute, 9 mins away from full-time. They had scored three goals in quick succession, the first of which came in the 76th minute, 14 mins away from full-time. In essence, they had started their comeback and completed it in a timeframe of 5 minutes. That's how powerful a winning mentality can make you. In the world we live in, it won't be an overstatement if I said that the entire population wants to be successful. Though, I would not be wrong to say a lot of people are doing nothing to be successful, I would also not be wrong to say a good number of people are doing something to be successful. You see, it isn't enough to have the will to be successful, you also have to believe that you will be. ****Cogito Ergo Sum - I Think, Therefore I am**** This is not me saying you stay in your comfort zone and believe you'll be successful and so shall it be. I am saying you put your heart where your muscle is. Even though we may not care to admit it, the state of mind affects one's output. Have you seen someone who is downcast being productive? They are unlikely to be because their mind is not in the right condition. As a student, I try to pay attention to whatever is being said in class instead of writing as the teacher is talking, I grasp and process better when listening, having my full attention in one place. Just so my mind doesn't get distracted, I often try not to lose concentration and not let my mind wander off into the unknown. Because whenever I do, I lose track of the learning process which is easier than getting back on it. The first step to achieving success is believing success is achievable, only then will your mind open up to all the ways in which it (success) can be achieved. This is not me saying be optimistic, as I wouldn't even describe myself as an optimist. But there is a thin line between optimism and belief. Although, I would say that one complements the other. People put the work in to achieve success, but do not really believe that they can achieve it? You may ask; why then are they working for it? The answer is simple; many people put in the effort just so they can have the satisfaction of knowing they did, and not necessarily because they believe their work will yield results. Winning mentality was the difference between Manchester City and Aston Villa. While they both worked hard all through the game, only one of the teams believed they would win and that made the difference between the two sides. So, you believing in your success can make the difference between achieving and failing. The work or effort alone is not enough, conviction is needed too. in whatever you do, have that winning mentality. Winners don't quit, and quitters don't win. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Reminiscing An Embarrassing Experience Earlier today, I was going through some of the books I had kept away and came across one I read in the second semester of my first year in the university. I remember reading a chapter that explained curly, wavy and straight hair a bit. I remember fondly when I read that particular part of the book in the school’s library and how I had rolled my eyes because it made me remember an experience I had in secondary school (highschool). Permit me to share this story with you. I remember this day because it was the most embarrassing day for me all through my time in the school. It was a Monday morning on the general assembly when the school’s counselor had decided to use two males as an example for the entire school. Unfortunately, I was one of these males, and as fate would have it the other make student (who was my classmate) happened to be behind my on the assembly line. She called the both of us in front of the assembly and asked us to kneel down. I was confused as this was the first time that had ever happened to me. More so because I had not done anything wrong which I was aware of. According to her, the reason she called us out was because of our hair. I do know one thing we (the guy and I) have in common is our hair, because it is both wavy and dark. Thus, forming what we popularly call “sporting waves” According to the school’s counselor, we had gone to the barbershop to get the hair done that way (sporting waves and dye) so we could use it to entice seduce naïve girls in the school. 😅😅🤣🤣 Yes, it is funny, but you’d be surprised it is not far from the truth as a reason as foolish as that was something people did back in the day. Also, it wouldn’t be far-fetched if I said girls actually like(d) guys with sporting waves. All we could do was just look at each other in utter confusion and disbelief. We had been in the school since SS1 we are now in SS3 and not once has anyone mentioned this to us, neither had she, because I remember meeting her in the lab a couple of times before that day. She must have seen me or my classmate before but said nothing. It is not uncommon for people’s day to start badly which will make them look for the slightest reason to vent out to others. Neither is it uncommon for people to use the slightest opportunity to show their power as a way of psychological warfare. Well, there was no particular war going on, but doing such a thing to us in front of the entire school can have an effect on the students. We tried explaining to her that our hair is naturally like that, but she wouldn’t hear us out. She was judge jury and executioner while we were just the people who had sinned and had no say. She told us to go cut off the hair, until she was sure we’ve removed all the waves before we can enter the class. I had cut my hair the day before and was on a low cut. Any further barbing would mean I was going bald 🤣🤣. We had no choice, we had to do it even though we were unhappy about it. I remember that was the first time going bald in the school and how ashamed I was of everything that I couldn’t even go out when it was time for break 😅. When I read about how my hair is only genetic and how I was punished for it for in more ways than one as I used my own money to get the haircut, I was disappointed and wondered if the woman knew and still decided to do what she did anyway. Well, that was the story in my secondary school days, and I remember the last time I saw this classmate of mine, we joked about this event and laughed at that moment. I can assure that when we were being crucified, it wasn’t funny at that time. But this is the beauty  of memories and the magic time has on these memories is that they eventually become a funny one.   `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Thanks to @BCH_LOVER for the sponsorship renewal, I appreciate your support ma'am.

LGBTQ Plus or Minus? Recent events in the football world which I can say I am quite current in has caused me and some others to raise some eyebrows. I don't know which came first, but there was some news about some Qatar hotels that has said they will not entertain people in the LGBTQ community. This had lead FIFA to say that they will not patronise such hotels. That is understandable, since the hotels offer services, and it is up to the customers to either accept their terms and conditions. Recently, a player of PSG football club decided not to wear a jersey that supports the LGBTQ+ community. Since the jersey was worn during a football game, that means the player inadvertently missed the game in question. Now, this is understandable, as I have seen cases players decided not to take the knee before the start of a football game as a protest against racism. So, I guess this applies as long as the team doesn't suffer from your absence I guess. What baffles me in this particular case is that the football federation of the country/league had asked the player to apologise to the LGBTQ+ community, not the club he didn't play for, but the community his faith does not support. Of course I have read somewhere that this '*punishment*' was metted to him because he is African. That is not for me to say. While reading an article by Deeepensiverse earlier titled Is Indifference To The LGBTQ Community Being Homophobic?, I had a lot to say about my countrymen. You see, anything under the umbrella of LGBTQ+ is heavily frowned upon in my country. In fact, there is a jail term for homosexuals, so even though there are such people in every society (mine included) they usually do their thing in their own secretive way. https://read.cash/@Deeepensiverse/is-indifference-to-the-lgbtq-community-being-homophobic-11484aa9 Personally, I am indifferent about the whole situation as I really do not think how anyone else chooses to live their life is my business, as long as I am not affected and neither is anyone I care about. I won't be wrong or saying too much if I said that most Nigerians are homophobic. This made me think about a Venn diagram, wherein all homophobic individuals are. Also, the subsets of this universal set are various reasons why people are homophobic. Although one person can be a member of two or more subsets (i.e they are homophobic for more than one reasons). These subsets can be explained as: Those who are homophobic because their religion frowns upon it; Those who are homophobic because their culture and tradition frowns upon it; Those who are homophobic because other people are and they wouldn't want to be the ones who were different from the rest; Lastly, those who are homophobic because they don't understand why people have different taste from them, thus, the best way to deal with the *darkness* is to accept everything bad about being gay. A friend once told me that until we all indulge in homosexual relations, we shouldn't say for a fact that we do not like it, or that we are not homosexuals 😅. Well, I can see the logic behind his statement, but I don't always have to try something before ascertaining that it is not good or that I don't like it. I believe everyone is free to believe in what they want or live how they want to as long as they are not affecting others in the process. Also, my beliefs shouldn't be forced on another simply because those persons don't accept it for one reason or the other and I do. My eyes are starting to shutdown, and I am having a hard time staying awake because I've had a long day and I am very tired too, so I'll just draw the curtain here and maybe do great justice to this topic another time. Feel free to leave a comment and tell me how you feel personally about the LGBTQ+ community and whether or not you accept it or you are indifferent like I am. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Family Time and Bonding Today has been a drag for me. It had started as early as 4am because I slept early yesterday due tiredness and only realised I had not published any article yesterday 🤣. Can you believe me?? Well, don't blame me. My day yesterday was a hectic one as I had a lot of work to do and no rest. Let me not bore you with that details but instead with today's. I woke up 4am with the hope to write an article and post before 6am, but it turns out my phone was not on the same page as me. I tried unlocking it but couldn't as the touch was malfunctioning and doing its own unlocking like it had changed the pattern while I was asleep. After several trials, I decided to let it be and just go back to sleep as it was too early to start quarrelling with the phone.😅 I went back to sleep and woke up around 7am and saw that the one-sided quarrel was still on. Then I knew I was in for a long day. After trying many times and even opening the panel to see if I could solve the problem, I realized I didn't have glue for the screen even if I manage to open it, so I screwed it back and just turned the phone off as it was not useful for anything at all. Seems I had no choice but to Bear the excruciating torture of being phoneless. I decided to go old school, bring back the time when everything wasn't so digital. It was time for bonding. For the past 4 years, I have barely been home except for the lockdown period. And that was the time many of us spent in solituted with our phones and digital friends. Though, people (young males especially) in my community saw it as a time to play all the football adulthood had starved them off. So I spent a lot of the lockdown playing football or exercising. I know you're thinking: that violates the whole purpose of the lockdown. Aside the fact that many of us were unconcerned about the pandemic, some others saw it as a way of maintaining their sanity. Back to the recent past, I decided to use the time to bond with my family, I had first gone to my parents to indulge them in a conversation, after which I just sat there observing them has they changed the our conversation into their conversation. It was good to see that they have grown to become best of friends as that's the only way I can describe their relationship 😅. I also realized that I am a mixture of both of them and not just in my physical appearance, but also in character. My dad I took his wittiness and sarcasm as well as his sense of humour. While my mom I took her penchant for anecdotes, self awareness and her tendency to pick her words carefully. For a moment, it seemed like I was in a game of showcasing your psychological prowess where in I was to be the referee. It was fun watching them tease each other and predict almost what the other person would say next. From there, I decided to have a chat with my little brother, and bond with him man-to-man. He's the last child in the family and my only brother too. So I felt we should connect. We used to be closer when he was much younger, but it seems like adolescence killed and buried the closeness that exists between us. Although, there are times we work together because we have a common goal. He was sent on an errand and I decided to accompany him so we could have a chat on the way. At least I got to hear how he feels about me being around but feels like I bosses him with all the admonishing I do. I made him understand that I do that mostly because of his stubbornness and because I care about him. And asked if he'd rather I was quiet when I saw something going wrong? In conclusion, it was a good day, and I probably wouldn't have had one like it if my phone had not gone bad. Seems to have gotten a bit better late this evening, so I caught up on some articles and will continue with the others soon with my sisters phone. Hopefully, it was only a day thing and I don't have to experience it again tomorrow. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Special thanks to my newest sponsor @Oyinwrites I am sorry it's coming late. Thank you for the support, I very much appreciate it.

Me And My Partner There has hardly been power for today, so my phone has been down for most of the day, thus I haven't really had the time to write an article, so I am pulling this our from the shelf. Go the questions from GarrethGrey's article weeks ago and I liked the question as I found them funny and interesting too. Who knows, maybe I'll find the perfect match for me 😂. If you're reading this, don't be scared to tell me how you feel. 😏 https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f Let's get down to business, shall we? Would you rather your partner be a great cook and messy around the house or a horrible cook but neat? https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-your-partner-be-a-great-cook-and-messy-around-the-house-or-a-horrible-cook-but-ne Okay, I like food and I also like neatness and orderliness so this is a hard one. Thus, my mind is trying to weigh both up with a learning scale. Which would be easier to learn? Tidying up or cooking? Also, it is easier for me to pay someone to tidy up than to pay someone to cook for me. So I'd rather my partner a good cook and messy. I believe we'll compliment each other better that way. Hey, that doesn't mean I am a terrible cook 🌚. But I am more inclined to tidy up and put everything in order than cooking if I am being honest. 😂 **Would you rather be balding but in shape or overweight with a full head of hair?** https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-be-balding-but-in-shape-or-overweight-with-a-full-head-of-hair Well, at the moment I have a full hair, and that is a trait I got from my mom's gene pool. I would definitely choose to be bald and in shape. I hear bald hair is the new cool after all, how would you like to rub my hair, sorry head 😂😂😂. Bald and sexy please. 😌😌 Would you rather be with someone who snores loudly or has bad breath? https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-be-with-someone-who-snores-loudly-or-has-bad-breath LoL. Please be a snorer, there are noise cancellation headphones for this kind of things, menthols are not as efficient. Both are actually what one's senses can get used to, but I'd rather want to get used to her snoring than her bad breathe. The mouth is a very important 🌚. Would you rather be with a partner who never shaves or one who never cut's their toenails? https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-be-with-a-partner-who-never-shaves-or-one-who-never-cut039s-their-toenails Since it's just to nails, I can deal with that. I can't imagine being with someone who keeps bushy hair in all the wrong places. Plus, I find that a turn off and poor personal hygiene. For the toenails, I can cut that myself as I give her a foot rub. Yea, I can be romantic like that. 😌 Would you rather your partner have a tattoo of their ex or have to tell your parents you met in Tinder? https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-your-partner-have-a-tattoo-of-their-ex-or-have-to-tell-your-parents-you-met-in-ti Kindly tell me parents we met on Tinder. After all, I can just tell them Tinder is a seminar organised by one company 😅😅. I am not condemning having a tattoo of your ex, we all do irrational things now and then. It only actually becomes irrational when you two don't end up spending your life together. But of the two, I'll pick Tinder even if my parents know what Tinder is. **Would** **you rather have a partner who hates pets or Love's them more than you?** https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-have-a-partner-who-hates-pet039s-or-love039s-them-more-than-you Well, I am not particularly keen on cats but if she loves dogs more than I love them, I have no problem with that. Simply means we'd likely get a pet 😂. Long as it isn't jealous of our love, it can stay. LoL. **Would** **you rather your partner be dumb and wealthy or a smart broke one?** https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-your-partner-be-with-a-dumb-wealthy-or-a-smart-broke-one First of, who came up with this question?? 😂😂 What is dumb and what is smart? If she is my partner, then I don't think she's dumb. But she can be wealthy or broke, it doesn't really matter. There are speculations that children get their intelligence from their mother, so this is quite a difficult one for me. But I also believe you can raise geniuses too. I believe I'll be rich enough for two, so smart and broke. That she's broke now doesn't mean she'll be forever yeah? So for the sake of answering the question, smart and broke because I don't think I can fall for someone who is dumb. Would you rather share a toothbrush with your partner or have to wear your partner's underwear? https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-rather-share-a-toothbrush-with-your-partner-or-have-to-wear-your-partner039s-underwea Let me start with EWWWW. 😂😂 If I am wearing my partner's underwear, that means it is clean and has been washed. For me, that seems more likely than sharing a toothbrush😬😬😅😅. I know you're thinking: "*but you can kiss her, why can't you share a toothbrush"* let me say that when you're about to kiss someone, hormones in your brain have impaired normal brain function 😂😂. So, you're only concerned about the pleasure and feeling at that moment and nothing else. But being conscious and using someone else's toothbrush. Nah, let me wear your underwear please. 😂😂 **Would** **you always sweat profusely when talking to your partner or constantly forget what you were going to say?** https://read.cash/@GarrethGrey07/choosing-your-partner-is-choosing-your-future-would-you-rather-8b252a5f#would-you-always-sweat-profusely-when-talking-to-your-partner-or-constantly-forget-what-you-were-g Bought could be as a result of anxiety disorder😂😂. Again, who came up with this question?? I am imagining both cases if I have to talk to my partner for 4/5hrs straight😂😂. I'll practically have a change of clothes like every hour if I was sweating profusely. Not sure which is better though as I scale one to be just as bad as the other. But since I have to choose, I will go with forgetting what I want to say. Can just write it down before hand I guess. Or we move to cold places like Norway so I don't sweat?? Hahaha. That would be all for now. It was fun answering these questions. If you find them fun, feel free to answer them too. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Thanks to @MichaelBCH for the sponsorship renewal, I appreciate your support bro 🙏

Essential Apps on My Phone I have said weeks ago in more than one of my articles that my phone had gone bad and I hope to either buy a new one or fix the old one. That depends really on when I get the money for it. While I wait for one to happen, I have been using a temporary phone to do all the basic things I need, thanks to my aunt who gave me one of her old phones which I have been using for a while now, though I must admit that it has been a struggle, but I can't complain. Since I couldn't install all the apps I had on my phone, I had to make do with the ones I consider essential to my daily activities. In no particular order, they are: **WhatsApp** This is my primary texting app. Chances are that if I don't text you on WhatsApp, we don't text anywhere else 😂😂. It is where I chat with people I chat with and also, where I keep in touch with news concerning my school and all. So, it was the first app I installed when I got the phone. **MetaMask** This is the wallet holding everything SmartBCH I own. That's what I primarily use it for since It's the only wallet on my phone that supports SmartBCH. When you see me open the app, just know it concerns SmartBCH 😁. **Telegram** This is where I keep track of new developments in SmartBCH projects I am into. That's basically what I use it for😂😂. I even have a sBCH folder to ease the stress of looking for chats and all. I don't text there, and when I PM anyone, it is related to sBCH or crypto in general. **Trust Wallet** This is for all the BEP-20 tokens I own, and the wallet I use for airdrops too. I specifically use it for airdrops so I don't get hacked, and even if I do, I'd be losing what I got for free so, no much tears there. 😅😅 **Twitter** Haha. One of my favorites. It is basically my news app 😂😂. I go there for the latest trending news and to laugh too at silly trends or threads. Twitter people are crazy 😂. Among other things I use the App for Bilqees told me recently I can make money from it, I am still navigating around that. **MX Player** This is the app I use for watching TV series or movies on my phone, so it is a necessity for me. I like the UI and features. It satisfies all my needs for a media player. **Luno** This is an exchange wallet where I do quick buying and selling from and to fiat if I need to. It's easy to use and faster for me. **V** That's just a banking app for transactions. It is an online bank and I love that transactions are absolutely free, no charges whatsoever. So, it is one of the institutions I bank with. **Moon+ Reader** This is the app I use to read books I download from the internet, especially books downloaded in epub format. Currently have 50+ books in my shelf, Mo of which I have not read at all while some I have read just some chapters. 😂😂 **Brave** I like to call it Chrome Pro. It is a browser that comes with ad-blocking and also, you get to earn BAT token while using the browser. The earning is slow, but what does it matter? Better than nothing eh? I use it for read.cash, fantasy, and surfing the internet too. Basically anything internet. http://read.cash **Xender** We all know what this is for innit? For sharing files between device(s). So it is necessary for me to have it. Can't be using Bluetooth for files larger than 50/100mb. Keep Notes This is one of Google apps, and it serves as my e-memoire or e-diary. I like that it is a light app, and also auto saves everything I 'keep' there to my Google account. Sometimes, I use it to draft and articles and save it there for whenever I want to post them. Multipurpose eh hahaha. It practically one my most private apps, even more private to me than WhatsApp. 😂😏 That's all the essential apps I have installed on this phone. So I can keep track of important things until when I fix my phone problem. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Mutual Attraction As humans, individual differences have played a fair part in our survival and evolution as a species. If we all liked the same thing, that would pose problem which could lead to our very end. But this is no article about evolution; well, not in the practical sense. I am writing this as a way of expressing my thoughts on what has been a topic of conversation. Mutual attraction. Earlier today I was going through conversations in one of the groups I am in on WhatsApp, and that was how I got the idea of writing this. The conversation had started from the talk about a trend on Twitter Nigeria yesterday the '***Bestie***' trend. In summary, it was about a guy sharing his experience about how he wooed a girl for months only for her to turn him down. According to him, he genuinely liked her and did everything he could, but it didn't work out because she didn't say yes. Only for her to be in a relationship with another guy barely a month later. When I asked him if he was sure that he was her type, he had responded in a way that gave the impression he found my question offensive. Well, I had to ask that because I felt he didn't care to ask the lady in question and assumed he was. As ordinary as it may seem, I always ask a girl I have interest in the question because I really don't want to waste my time barking the wrong tree. A lot of people erroneously assume that because so-so and so liked them, they are automatically everyone's type. Or because they feel they are beautiful or handsome, they are everyone's spec. I believe for a relationship to be sustainable, everything including the attraction has to be mutual. I can understand someone and trust them but I don't think I would ever be in a romantic relationship with them if there was no attraction, more so an attraction that isn't mutual. Or can you? You can be the most beautiful person and still not everyone will be attracted to you. In fact, you can be nice and everything good and the person you like likes another person who is probably your opposite. It is absolutely normal. Not just are we different in genetic makeup and its expression, we are also different in preferences: likes and dislikes. I wouldn't expect a girl to accept the advances of a guy who isn't her type. It is true a lot of people believe that you can grow to love someone or grow to become attracted to them. That is a gamble I don't think I am willing to take. Leaving something so important to chance is too high a risk for me to take. Now, let me quickly clarify that I am not saying with certainty that it is impossible to become attracted to someone you were never attracted to, that is possible. There are times you see someone for the first time and you feel attracted to them. There are also times that this attraction takes time to form. Perhaps you just caught them in your line of sight and the angle made them look good and attractive. Or you started having conversations and you realise that they have qualities you find attractive. What I am saying with certainty is that I cannot start a romantic relationship with someone I am not attracted to or that the attraction isn't mutual. That is why I believe two friends can become attracted to each other over the course of their friendship and even start to develop feelings. But this is often kept a secret because they don't want to ruin the friendship or maybe the other person is in a relationship wherein they are genuinely happy. I honestly think you shouldn't be friends with the opposite sex if they are not someone you could spend your life with, I don't mean you must be sexually attracted to your friend or have romantic feelings for them. What I mean is that for you to be friends with someone, you two must share a mutual understanding, trust, and affection the difference between a romantic relationship and friendship is the romance. But that is a talk for another time. In conclusion, always be sure you're your spec's spec 😅 instead of just assuming. That you're attractive doesn't mean everyone is attracted to you. Neither does someone being nice to you mean they are attracted to you. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Follow me on noise cash https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie

Shared Memories I had woken up unusually late today and that was mainly because I was diving in and out of sleep all through last night. Really don't understand my sleep pattern these days. But that is a common occurrence especially when I am at home. My friend and I were reminiscing about some memories yesterday on WhatsApp messenger and we were laughing really hard about some of the funny memories we had. It was good to hear all the laughter through our voice notes. I was going through my gallery earlier today after remembering the conversation from yesterday and was laughing at the different memories I had captured. Came on read.cash and while I was reading FarmGirl's article I Definitely Wanna Fly wasn't so surprised when she stated that she'll choose memories over money. That's to tell you how important memories are. I am not really one to take pictures/selfies randomly. But I am big on taking pictures to save memories. So that I can bet most of the pictures on my phone represents one memory of the other. You'd be surprised I have pictures from 5/6 years ago on my phone and they are still so gorgeous😅😅. Perhaps they'll become classics in the future. Memories are good, but what are memories that are not shared? I have come to accept that people are invaluable and building relationships is essential to a fulfilling life. Friends, families and sometimes strangers are an important part of our lives and the memories we make are usually cherished. I remember having a female friend years ago, she was someone I met on Facebook then she was living in another state in the country but we were very close. I was so happy when she came to my state of residence one holiday and even though I was occupied with work then, I had to squeeze out time to meet her. Till date, that time spent with her is one of my most cherished memories. I posted the pictures we took on Facebook and someone said we looked alike 😂😂 (that's not wrong though). We had the same dentition and we share a resemblance too. You'd think we were siblings. One of my life goals is travelling the world and visiting all the places I want to. I really can't fantasise about this dream without thinking about who I'd want to share the memories with; a friend? A partner? A family member? Surely a happy experience or adventure will bring us joy, but it is even better when it is an experience or adventure we share with someone. It does not feel the same. Reminiscing about such memories alone with no one who can relate and talk about it too is no fun. I am not the most social person, neither do I have many friends. But I do have people I have made special memories with, and I have friends I'd want to make beautiful memories with too. So, @Mhizutty start making those plans for the group picnics, outings and friendates. You name it 😂. http://read.cash https://read.cash/@FarmGirl/i-definitely-wanna-fly-8c00b2bf It is no news I have been home for over a month because of the ongoing strike. Things haven't really been busy for me, except for the occasional stroll to the community football field where I watch local games. Most of the people I converse with are either not around or have moved to a new location. So, all days are the same and not so exciting because I am mostly indoors. One of my old friends did text about three days ago to ask how I was doing, I told him I have been home for over a month and he was surprised to hear that because he thought I was in school and I also thought he had gone off for his Masters programme. He works in a vet clinic 3 times a week, so I will try to meet with him whenever he is free this week so we catch up. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Follow me on noise cash https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie

Impatience. Yesterday had started quite early for me. I had to escort my sister to the park where she would board a bus going to the state her school is located. At least the ongoing nationwide strike doesn't affect them and for a moment I wished that was me going back to school too. Family members would always tease about how she'll probably graduate school with me even though she only started last year. Meanwhile, I have been in the university since 2018. And the future is bleak if I am being honest. There have been several news about the ongoing strike action of university lecturers, so one can't be sure which is genuine and which isn't. Truth is that I usually find it difficult whenever the academic staff union is on strike as one is uncertain about when it will end. The problem is that it leaves one stuck in a limbo. Or do I speak for myself and say me. Since I can't do anything meaningful because I am not sure when the strike will end. This impatience is what my article borders around today. I had experienced a situation recently when I stepped out wherein there was an unusual traffic at a particular part on the road. There was no reason I could think of that could have caused the traffic. Perhaps an accident had occurred and that was the reason for the hold-up. Well, it turned out that wasn't the case, thankfully. From what I saw, it had been impatience from one, two or three drivers that was responsible for the traffic. I thought about how easily the flow of vehicles was disrupted by the impatience of others and how much our personal decisions can affect the lives of others in ways we never thought they would. Patience they say is a virtue, and a lot of people nowadays lack the virtue, no one is interested in working hard and waiting patiently for things to take their natural course. Everyone wants to '*facilitate*' the process as quickly as possible, so they can get the desired results they want as soon as they can, after all, time waits for no man. I remember as a child my when my mom is preparing my favourite food, I'd always be there, impatient, hovering in an out of the kitchen, restless and anxious to eat the food she's preparing. She'll tell me that as I have scented all aroma of the food, when it is finally ready, I will be full and have little or no appetite😂😂. Just keep of course but there is some truth to it. I remember my aunt watching a video sometime last week on her phone and I could hear the audio. It was about two Nigerian women on who were in another African country (not sure which). They are prostituting, and it could here the other woman who was in Nigeria advising them to stop what they are doing and come back to their home country to settle down with a decent man and do something decent too to provide for themselves. According to her, she's familiar with a lot of women who had prostituted before and when they finally marry or settle down, they start having uncontrollable urination 😅. I read about it years ago, so I can't really remember. But I think it has something to do with the muscles down there. Anyway, her point was that men who didn't value them for the women they were had gotten '*the best*' of them for nothing at all. For the same money they will end up spending on pampers 😂😂😂. Couldn't help but laugh at that point. A lot of these women had gone into those activities because of impatience and the urgency to make money in their youthful age. I think this impatience stems from the belief most people have about when the right time to make money is: in your youth. I could easily categorise it as your first 20 years is one to learn the basics about survival in general. The second 20 years is to make money, while the last 20 years is to enjoy the money you've made. In conclusion, I'd say that I believe in time, and just as every individual have their differences, so does everyone have their different timeframe. Just put in the hard work and be ready to take advantage of the opportunity when it comes. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Follow me on noise cash https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie

FPL GW36 Review And GW37 Preview: Chips Down and The Arrow Down If you have been on the platform for a while now, you must have come across the fantasy mini league competition courtesy of Club1BCH. It is also sponsored by @Empress the KONRA queen. I joined the competition shortly after opening my read.cash account, and it has been planning and strategising week in week out top finish as high as possible. Double Game week 36 just ended last night and it was the biggest game week of the season. I had saved my 3/4 of my chips for days like this. I had started my strategy by playing my wildcard in game week 35 and brought in players with double game week in 36 but looking back in retrospect, it seemed like a bad idea as I got less point than if I had stayed with my original team. I activated another chip (bench boost) before the start of game week 36 for all my double game week players to reel in the point. as that was the initial plan I had, and why I had played my wildcard the week before. It started really poorly with captain Salah blanking yet again while some other of my players had not made any appearance for their respective clubs. The second part of the game week was better than the first, as I got over 70 points to take my total for the game week to 105. This could have been better if my captain hadn't blanked in the first of his two games and rested for the second perhaps it would have been better. Better 6 than 0 eh? As it stands, there are two game weeks left, i am miles away from where I'd hoped to be at the end of season. I dropped two slots down to 13th with almost 300 points away from first position. It is virtually impossible to win the competition as it stands, unless my goalie scores 5 goals in each of the last two games 😂😂. Even I know how ridiculous that sounds. Even top 4 seems very unrealistic, as I am 100 points behind 4th place too. Seems someone isn't going to Europe next season. 😂😂 As it stands, it is really difficult to predict who cops the top prize, as the top really looks like a fierce competition. The Premier League race ain't got nothing on this race. With two GWs left, I hope to climb up the ladder and at least finish top 7. That seems realistic, the Conference League next season isn't so bad eh? LoL Until the, I look forward to seeing who comes out top of the league. Game week 37 is scheduled to start 3pm on Sunday, and with it being a double game week, I have six outfield players who double and I am caught between using my Triple Captain chip or saving it for the last day. Maybe a last day magic may be what I need. Although, I have made a transfer to bring in in-form KDB for Salah. I hope I do not regret it as it seems I have been making all the wrong decisions lately. The next week will be crucial in my quest for finishing top seeeeeeee....ven. My decisions and choices has to be spot on if I am to have any chance. Who to transfer in, who to transfer out, captain choice, who to leave on the bench and when to use my Triple captain chip. Although, I feels I should have used it 10 GWs ago when Salah was the headline. Oh well, I hope I don't end up regretting all of it when the season ends. You can get updates from @PVMihalache , @HappyBoy and @bmjc98 . A week to go! Also using this post to cover up the one day I had missed earlier this week, so I can meet my 31 articles goal for this month. Until then, wish me luck, because I will need it. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Follow me on noise cash https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie Special thanks to @Theblackdoll for the sponsorship renewal, I appreciate your unending support.

Breathing Under Water Got these questions from @Kushyzee the other day, you can check his out here. Well, it has come to the rescue for me as I have this terrible headache since morning which I think is because I haven't been sleeping well these past couple of days and couldn't eat anything all day until this evening. So I decided to pull this out of my draft. These prompts always come in handy in times like this. https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/random-article-to-the-rescue-aa16e11a Here it goes: Get even or get over it? Really laughed hard at this question and it's because I was a plotter of revenge the only problem was that I usually don't enact the plan. So it is sort of an in between thing. But ultimately, I get over it eventually after being mad for a while. So, let's just say getting over it. Have no internet or no phone? https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/radom-article-to-the-rescue-51abeea2#have-no-internet-or-no-phone This is tricky though. Because I know if there's no internet on my phone, I feel the phone is useless. It is funny how much we have attached everything we do to the internet. Well, that is not to undermine the importance of a phone itself. At least you don't need the internet to call people or text them and it is possible to do money transfers using USSD. I will pick having no internet instead of having no phone. For the fact that I am trying to imagine the internet without a phone. Only computers and tablets. Would be boring 😂😂😂. The comfort and portability of a phone makes iy invaluable. **Be invisible or read minds?** https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/radom-article-to-the-rescue-51abeea2#be-invisible-or-read-minds I would rather be invisible. Reading minds I believe is a tedium, and I feel it will be invasion of people's right to their privacy. People should have rights to think what they want to in their mind 😂😂. Long as they keep all the evil locked inside, there isn't much to worry about. Invisibility I like. You can be there, and no one sees you but you're just there doing your thing and free from all the hassle. Also, I can go anywhere I want even sleep in a library if I want 😂😂😂. Being able to rewind time or being able to pause time? https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/radom-article-to-the-rescue-51abeea2#being-able-to-rewind-time-or-being-able-to-pause-time Basically, this question is asking how I'd like to manipulate time. Is it rewinding and forwarding or just pausing? That's unclear. Isn't rewinding every 1 sec back the same as pausing time technically? 😅😅. Unless I can't do other things because I am rewinding 1 sec back. I think I'd prefer to pause time though, all things considered. Breathe underwater or be able to fly? https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/radom-article-to-the-rescue-51abeea2#breathe-underwater-or-be-able-to-fly This is hard for me because of my field of study 😂. If I can breathe like a fish under water, there is a lot of things I can use that ability for in my field. But I also like the ability to fly. I can just fly around the world, no need paying huge money for flight tickets and all. Just vzooooommm and I am in the Bahamas 😅😅. But because I feel I'll do more with breathing, especially in my field of study. So Breathing under water it is. Have one wish granted today or 3 wishes in ten years' time? https://read.cash/@Kushyzee/radom-article-to-the-rescue-51abeea2#have-one-wish-granted-today-or-3-wishes-in-ten-years039-time This is a no brainer, as I can just wish to have three wishes in 10 years. Ten years time isn't guaranteed, today is. So I'll pick one wish today over 3 in 10 years. One wish now can change everything. I will call it a night here as I have decided to go to bed early today as I have to wake up early tomorrow. Have a great day readers. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Follow me on noise cash https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie

Taking Advantage of The Bearish market In the past month or so, the price of BCH been up and down like it a rollercoaster. This week has been a red week in the Crypto market. Word on everyone's mouth is HODL HOLD HODL. Surely that's the best thing to do in times like this, or if you want, count you loss and move on. The choice is the yours really. They say that every dark cloud has a silver lining. That is to say that there is ADVANTAGE in disADVANTAGE. This morning, I was going through WhatsApp and saw a message someone posted on one of the groups I am on. As a response to why Binance removed LUNA from futures, he said: ***"People were using $200,000 with 50X to short it on futures*** ***I even used $2 to do 70x short on it."*** I am not a Crypto trader, so I don't really understand what he was saying but I do get what he meant was that people were making huge profits even as the price of LUNA was falling like domino. Truth is that the bearish market does provide opportunities. I believe to be successful in the Crypto market, you don't need patience only, but you also need to be smart and know when to take advantage of the market situation. As holders, earners, adopter and users of BCH, it is always bring great joy seeing the price of BCH go up. But have we ever wondered if the price of BCH continue going up, what effect that will have? Assuming as a man that works and earn salary in fiat currency, and at current price of say $200, I can afford to buy 1 BCH. Should a bearish run move the price of BCH to $100, that means I can afford to buy 2 BCH for the same $200. Which is greater? 2 BCH or 1 BCH? But should the price of BCH go up to $400, the $200 can only afford 0.5 BCH. I ask you: which would you rather have, 1 BCH or 0.5 BCH? My point in all of this is that the bearish market serves as an entry point to buy crypto currency. It is time to convert fiat to crypto, and not the other way around. This is the time to get more value for the same money. Right now, it would cost you less to buy 1 BCH than it would some weeks ago. The person who bought weeks ago for more money has 1 BCH, while you who is buying now for less also has 1 BCH. Should the price of 1 BCH be $1000 next month, you and that same person will have $1000 worth of BCH. Another way people take advantage of the bearish market is by converting BCH to a stable coin early and converting back to BCH after it dips. Although, this requires foresight and is somewhat risky, so it has to be done when you're sure of a dip in price. To further explain this, if at the beginning of a bearish run the price of 1 BCH is $200 I convert my $200 worth of BCH to a stable coin, that gives me $200. If after a while the price of 1 BCH dips to $100, and I decide to convert my stable coin back to BCH, I would get $200 worth of BCH which will be 2 BCH at the price of $100/BCH. I have read articles on the platform about how some of users have used this method to gain more and increase the value of their portfolio. The risk involved is that the price may not dip as expected, but instead go up an that would give you less BCH satoshi should you decide to change back to BCH. Both ways actually works on the same principle of getting more value for your money and it only need you to take advantage of the dip by buying more for less. Like I said, these are basic principles, and it just requires you being smart and seeing the green in the red. ***Disclaimer: The aim of this article is for education and by no means is it a financial advice or a push to invest in crypto. If you must, do your own research and invest what you can afford to lose.*** `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

A Night of Dreams So, I saw this from @Princessbusayo when I read her version and decided to save it for the rainy days. Well, today is one of the rainy days. Let's get on, shall we? https://read.cash/@Princessbusayo/which-do-i-prefer-9d494af2 **Light on or Light off?** I have said in one of my previous articles that I find it very difficult to sleep when the light is on, so I will always prefer the lights are off. My eyes just seem to be very photosensitive and I honestly have not researched about it though. Perhaps I will do that eventually, don't know when. **Light or Heavy sleeper** That depends on a lot of factors if I am being honest. Sometimes, I am a light sleeper and the slightest noise will wake me up, other times, I am a deep sleeper. It really depends on how stressed and tired I am. Though, any time I nap during the day, I am always a light sleeper. I think daylight has something to do with that. Other times, I start heavy and end light. What do I mean? I may not be conscious of what is going on in the environment, but as soon as dawn is near, I become conscious of everything going on in the environment. **Fan or no Fan?** Even if it rains snow and everywhere is cold, I would always put the fan on and snuggle under a blanket, that feeling is glorious and it improves the quality of my sleep too. Apart from the fact that fan cools down everything, it also helps keep mosquitoes away, so it is basically serving two purpose. **One or Several Pillows?** This is an on and off thing for me, there are times I don't use pillow, especially when I am in school, as I read sleeping that way is better for your spine. Same way they say bathing with cold water is better for your skin. Anyway, if I do want to use pillow, i prefer more than one, as it is usually much more comfortable as I can set it to my comfort. **Early in bed or Late sleeper?** I swing between both. When it is the holiday and I am at home with family, I am a late sleeper, almost always the last to go to bed. But when school is in session, I usually sleep early. Even when we plan to read overnight, I'd always be the first to fall asleep in the group. LMAO @Mhizutty would always say night reading is not for me. The only good thing is that I compensate for it by being an early bird. Morning reading is more my thing, because you feel rejuvenated after waking up plus the cool and quiet around that time helps me understand better. **Thin or thick blanket?** Thick. Apart from the reason that it is very comfortable, it is also not easily kicked off. The only problem is that it is only perfect when the whether is really cold so you don't start sweating under a blanket. LoL. **PJ or Comfy Clothes?** Comfy clothes definitely! But PJs are comfy clothes too. When I sleep, I like to leave most of my body exposed so I don't feel heat but that can leave me vulnerable to mosquitoes, that is where blankets come in. I use blankets to cover myself for protection against mosquito bites. So, I often sleep with just boxer shorts, and at most wearing singlet (vest) too. **Drink Milk or Water?** Why would I wake up in the middle of the night to drink milk? When it is not like I want to stay awake for something else. Always water for me, I noticed that it is common for me to wake up in the middle of the night to drink water when I am in school, but not when I am at home. I suppose it is probably because I drink enough before going to bed when I am at home or I am usually more dehydrated because of stress when I am school. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Cheating and Whatnot Today has been quite the day I had gone to bed quite late and woke up this morning with a headache, one that I still have even till this moment. The reason I couldn't publish any article two nights ago was because there was no power supply which I had not anticipated, else I would have drafted something. I know that had derailed me from my one-article-a-day target for the month, but I do plan to make up for it before the month comes to an end. As the light came on, I had to put some things in place before deciding to draft my article for the day. I was already two paragraphs into what I intend writing for the day when the movie my aunt and sister was watching on TV caught my attention. To summarize, there is a going through a rough patch financially, two of the husband's friends will always taunt him about his condition by insulting him with what they think is motivation. Another of his friend is quite sympathetic and doing what he can to help out. Even as far as helping him send his CV out to people. A woman the wife is close to, someone I would say was her confidant had asked the husband to go for an interview with one her friends in an hotel. Getting there, the husband realised that his job interview was actually an offer to be the woman's lover. He refused, saying he loves his wife and that he can not cheat on her. The woman had replied him saying that it isn't cheating as long as there is no emotional attachment involved. That really caught my attention it is a weird perspective about cheating. The woman had used prostitutes as an example and asked him whether he would call them cheaters. When it comes to romantic relationships, being intimate with another is cheating, as long as you did it consciously. It doesn't matter whether or not that was any emotional attachment involved. As long as you've committed yourself to another, then anything you do that is a violation of that commitment is cheating. I personally believe that it takes a lot more than being in love with someone and not cheat on them. It takes discipline too. Love is not enough in its emotional sense. It is possible to love someone and still cheat on them if you are not disciplined enough to resist temptations and abide by your commitment. If you have a counter/contrary opinion, feel free to share in the comment section. Another random question for you my dear readers, and I would love your response in the comment section still. ***IS CHEATING ON A CHEATER CONSIDERED CHEATING?*** As humans, we try to justify our actions to clear our conscience. I remembered a time I had a conversation with an internet fraudster and why he is into such. He had blatantly told me that it was because white men had stole a lot from us (Africans) during the colonial era and also before that, they had perpetrated an unforgivable sin to Africans and to humanity by enslaving Africans and shipping them of to America and Europe to work as slaves and endure the pain of animalistic treatments and inhumane conditions. ***P.S: Those were not his exact words, I was just being extra. Hahaha.*** I was taken aback when he said that to me, the only question I could ask him was whether it was the people he was trying to fraud that had done the deeds. It is strange to think that could even be a reason. If you ask an armed robber why he is into such, he would say that there is no job, and since the government has not provided any, he has no choice but to take up arms and make one for himself. Cheating on people is cheating, there is truly no justification for it and we really should stop making excuses just to make ourselves feel better about what we have done. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

A Little About The Major Ethnic Groups in Nigeria I was born in Western Nigeria, Lagos state to be precise. I have often caught myself wonder if my life would have been different had I been born in any other part of the country. Bearing in mind the effect of the environment in one's development. Lagos state is not my state of origin, but I have spent most of my life in Lagos, so you can practically call me a Lagosian; since I can contest for The Lagos State House of Assembly according to the law 😂😂. Don't mind all that talk about politics, I am not a politician. There are three major ethnic groups in Nigeria, they are: Hausa Yoruba Igbo Even though I have spent most of my life in Lagos - a Yoruba state - I have heard stories and observed people from different ethnic groups as Lagos is a land for all. HAUSA They are the most populous ethnic tribe in Nigeria. Also, their states occupies most of Nigeria, extending from west to east of northern Nigeria. They are known for their simple life, they are hard working, and most of all often dark in complexion. Arguably the tribe with the highest number of wealthy people. Well, that is no surprise considering their population, you'd expect them to have a lot of people on both sides. It is worthy of mention that most of the food consumed in the country is produced in the north. Also, there is a common belief that to win election in the country, have the northerners vote for you. Islam is the predominant region of the Hausas. Although, there are many tribes and cultures in the north, southerners tend to see them as one and the same. This sentiment is shared by then too, it is a common thing here in the country. Haha. Food such as Tuwo shinkafa, suya, Kilishi, among others belong to the northerners. I have always considered the Hausas to be honest people, and always take their word for it. But, times are changing, it would seem one can only trust themselves these days. It is popular to hear people say that they are the brutal, and their sense of communism is like no other. If you can speak the common tongue, you may get cheap beef when buying from an Hausa man. I would liken them to the Chinese people become a similarity they have in creating mini villages for themselves. Think of Chinatowns in different cities in the worId, that is how we have Hausa communities in different parts of the country. Although, I must say that I often see then like the Nigerian Indians because of the similarities in their cultures. **IGBO** Mostly known for their eyes and keen sense for business and love for money. In their defence, I don't think anyone hates money. Their states occupy the eastern part of the country and they are considered the smallest of the three major ethnic groups. Well, one can argue that the civil war which took place between 1967—1970 wasn't kind to the Igbos. Some people have described it as genocide, but that is not the topic for today. I had mentioned them in my article We Rise By Lifting Others and how their strong sense of community has been one of their biggest strength. They are known for food like African salad, okpa, fufu among others. https://read.cash/@Aimure/we-rise-by-lifting-others-e1e49a5b There is a common joke that to identify an Igbo woman, just look at her children for beards or the size of her leg. LoL. **YORUBA** Arguably the most educated tribe in the country, there are known for their love of party. Believe me, I don't think any of the other ethnic groups party like the Yorubas. Known for their respect of the elderly, their states span across the western part of the country, from the Northwest down to the Southwest. It is said that the tribe spreads across West Africa, from Nigeria down to the far away Ghana. Their most popular food is Amala, and ewedu with gbegiri. Even though I don't find it appetising or even appealing to my senses, people from different cultural backgrounds have confessed to the magical taste of it. They are considered the lazy tribe and the loudest too. They say the strongest Yoruba person is the one with the loudest voice. There is often a common joke in Lagos that if you want an elaborate wedding ceremony without spending a dime, just get a Yoruba girl pregnant and watch her family members sponsor your wedding. One may wonder which of the tribes I belong, well, my tribe is one of the minor ethnic groups and found in the southern part of the country. There have been different stories about which of the major ethnic groups we can identify with, but I am not here to bore you with the details. I will put my pen down at this point and call on my fellow countrymen and women to add or subtract a thing or two from all I have said. ***DISCLAIMER: This article was merely for entertainment and learning purposes, aimed at tickling your sense of humour, particularly my fellow compatriots as well as sharing a thing or two in the process.*** `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

The Gift of Life So, before I left for church this morning, I had about two topics to write about and one I remember but the most important one I have forgotten, I guess it will come to me sooner or later, or not. Until then, I pulled this out from the shelf. Got to know about this prompt from ARTicLEE, you can read his here. Without further addo. https://read.cash/@ARTicLEE/keep-going-you-got-this-6faaa93b **Who do you sometimes compare yourself to?** Comparing myself to others is one thing I don't do. It can be the beginning of jealousy when you put yourself and another person on a scale of comparison, so I never do it and sure do not like when other people do it too. But to be fair, there are times some TV characters resonates to me and it would seem like I am watching my self on TV. Like Chandler in Friends, Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory, Niklaus in The Originals among others. I hope you understand this was no comparison by any form. **What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago?** Perhaps reading or learning a new skill. 5 years ago I was working and earning relatively good bucks all things considered. I had time on my hands too, so I wish I had spent it reading books more or learning something new too. **Do you ask enough questions or do you settle for what you know?** I do ask a lot of questions, people who know me know I can wear you out with questions especially when I am trying to understand something that isn't clear or learn something new. What do I know for me to settle for that? Though, I have learnt to settle for what I know or what I am told when it comes to people's personal life, especially people close to me. **Is it possible to lie without saying a word?** Silence doesn't necessarily mean a lie, I could decide not to answer a question because I don't want to lie neither do I want to say the truth. Not saying the truth doesn't mean you lied. But, it is very possible to lie without saying a word especially if your silence or body language is suggesting otherwise. So, next time you want to be silent about something, be sure that you are not sending the wrong message. **What makes you smile?** A lot of things ,makes me smile, in fact, nut often times you catch me smiling to happy memories that pops up in my head, or maybe I remember something funny. Or sometimes when somethings happens and I remember what my mom would say in that same situation. Or maybe look at the girl I fancy and she's looking so cute hahaha. A lot of things actually make me smile. **If you had the opportunity to get a message across to a large group of people what would your message be?** Hmmm. I am asking myself what group of people would this be as that would determine what I say. But generally speaking, what I would tell a large group of people would be: Life is a beach, play in the sands and enjoy the wave. Do what makes you happy and live every day like it is your last. It is never too late. **What do we all have in common besides the genes that make us human?** We have a lot in common. Most important is the freedom to make our own choices. We have that freedom in common, so we can do with it as we wish. I want to use this opportunity to chip in one of Chuck Lorre's witty vanity card #231 Image Source http://chucklorre.com/ **Which is worse failing or never trying?** Never trying is actually worse because you live with the constant uncertainty of whether or not you would have been successful or not. Failing on the other hand teaches you something, at least you'll never try again and fail the same way. **What gets you excited about life?** The beautiful things of life, Love, Nature and the very uncertainty of what the future holds is exciting. **What are you most grateful for?** Life, family, friends, good health. I am grateful for everything really. But most of all, the gift of life. Feel free to jump on the train, would like to read your version of it too. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Money and Love ≠ Happiness Today had started with a lush coolness that comes with the rain. I love the weather, as a matter of fact, I thrive in this weather. The only downside is that I get to cancel my plans of doing laundry. Oh well, it is the weekend, so I'll push it to tomorrow. Today I am writing about some things I often find my self talking about. Three concept **HAPPINESS, LOVE** and **MONEY**. Was reading a post the other day by Ruffa **Which one Wins: Reality or Imagination?** I told her I have got a topic to write about from what I read. Though let me warn that it may turn out to be free writing, and I'll try to organise my thought in a way that the message is passed across, and if not, I apologise in advance. https://read.cash/@Ruffa/which-one-wins-reality-or-imagination-e3c90381 I remembered one of the profile pictures I used on Facebook years ago had a quote by John Lennon: ***"They asked me what I wanted to be in future and I answered 'HAPPY'. They told me I didn't understand the question, I told them they didn't understand life".*** These are words but they resonate deep meaning to me. Questions I often ask myself are: *What is it you want most in life?* *Would you rather be rich and unhappy or poor and happy?* *Does having lots of money guarantee happiness?* *Can one have it all?* I am sure happiness and money are two things everyone want in life. Some have found one at the expense of the other but I am sure we all strive to be one of those at the point where both intersect. The harsh truth is that not all of us can be there. But if we are presented with a choice to choice one or the other what would be our choice? I think I am now more inclined to do things that make me happy above all else, as long as I am not hurting anyone in the process. Fair right? I remember a friend of mine posted : **Money isn't everything, but it ranks up there with oxygen.** Surely I cannot undermine the importance of money. It is very important and honestly, it is the solution to many problems. Or do I say most of my problems? Every day people wake up and head out to find their daily bread so they can put food on their table and keep a roof over their head. Somewhere between all the hustle and bustle, we forget what true happiness is and we don't even have the time for it. Our life is programmed to follow daily or weekly or monthly or yearly routines. Oftentimes, we find ourselves working jobs we don't enjoy just because we have responsibilities and bills to pay at the end of the month, so we are stuck doing what provides for us and not what we enjoy doing. Let me switch it up. Would we all agree that love is synonymous to happiness? It is almost impossible to be in love and not be happy, well, that is not to say love doesn't have its own challenges but you do get what I mean don't you? Now this is another question to you: **Would you rather find true love or be wealthy?** Before we proceed, when I say love, I speak not of unrequited love, finding love doesn't mean that you would be a wretch, also, because I am trying to steer a middle ground here...or not, let me quickly say that money doesn't guarantee happiness or love (at least that is what I think). In fact, it is popular opinion that showing love to someone after money isn't true, or is it unpopular opinion? 🤔🤔🤔. Of course that is fallacious but one can see the point. Real love is unconditional (debatable) but for the purpose of this article, let's all agree it really is. That it is unconditional is why you can be the wealthiest man and still find love. When people love you, they are supposed to love **YOU** and not your possessions or your features or even your accent. That is why one can be wealthy and still experience genuine love. Besides, love doesn't have to be in romantic form only, it could be your friends or your family that show you the genuine love you need. They say money can't buy happiness and the best things in life are free, but are they really? My answers to aforementioned questions I often ask myself What I want most in life is happiness and peace. Really, that is all I want This is a no brainier, I will choose happiness over all if I am being honest with myself. What's the point of having money and not being happy? No, it doesn't. But having money does make one happy in not? 😂😂 Yes, there is a possibility one has it all. But what is ALL? MONEY,LOVE HAPPINESS? Yes, one can have it all. Let me leave you with a lyrics from Drake's Weston Road Flows *"But money can't buy happiness, Jellee talkin' truthful* *But I'm happiest when I can buy what I want"* NOISE CASH https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Arranged or For Love? Today had started with a lush coolness that comes with the rain. I love the weather, as a matter of fact, I thrive in this weather. The only downside is that I get to cancel my plans of doing laundry. Oh well, it is the weekend, so I'll push it to tomorrow. Growing up as a young boy, I was only familiar with things I was exposed to. That's basically how it works, children learn from what you expose them to. Anytime I saw a marriage on TV, it was usually a traditional kind of marriage or a a white wedding (Marriage in church). As a naive young boy, I always saw these marriages as *happy ever after*, two people, in love, joined in holy matrimony, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in the presence of their family and friends as they bear witness. Little did I know. It wasn't until I grew older that I understood that some of marriages happen due to circumstances, while some were even arranged. Although, arranged marriage isn't common in the southern part of the country; where I have spent all my life, I have heard it is quite common in the northern part of the country. What is even more distasteful about that is that a lot of the brides are usually underage. For some reason, I get the impression that northern men have eyes for teenage girls. I remember last week I had gone to the market with my cousin to buy some of the things she needed for school resumption. We had an encounter with a northern man and I remember him saying to my little cousin who is just 14 years of age that he wants to marry her. before I could give him a perplexed and disapproving look, my cousin shouted **"God forbid"** which made me burst into laughter instead. Can't say I blame him for saying such inappropriate thing to a young teenager as I have heard their culture allows adult males to take girls as young as 13 as a bride @Bilqees , correct me if I am wrong. What is even more weird about this culture is that it is usually thee parent who arrange these marriages. Surely it is not like a 13-year-old has much to say in such matters. I also have sisters who watch Zeeworld (A TV station that deals only in Indian shows and movies) a lot, and I can't help but notice that arranged marriage is also common in their culture. I think I have even read some posts here that suggests the same. Although, in those movies, couples in the arranged marriage usually end up falling in love with each other as that is almost always the story line. For how long can the happiness of people be left to chance? How many of them does find happiness eventually? Bearing in mind that it has to be a two-way thing. I won't be wrong to say that arranged marriage is dying out day by day unlike the old days when it is common even in the southern part of the country. All a suitor has to do is make his intention known to the bride-to-be's parent through his own parent and of course if the families agree, it is most likely the girl agrees too. Growing up, it is common to say that the easiest marriage happens when you get a Yoruba girl pregnant outside of wedlock, rest assured the parents don't mind footing the bills of the marriage if you are not financially buoyant. These things are dying out slowly though, and more marriages are happening these days out of love. I personally feel it is either that or no marriage at all. Cannot imagine my parents picking out a bride for me and I agreeing to it. What would be the happiness in that? On another news, I have opened an account on noise, you can connect with me there using the link below. https://noise.cash/u/Aimurie Hope to see you guys there and extend our relationship across both platforms. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤` Special thanks to @Talecharm for the sponsorship renewal, I appreciate the unending support you give to me.

Love Stories... or Not Today is a love story of a young man, hard to say if he's been unlucky or finding the right thing at the wrong time what does this story tell? **Tolu** was his first highschool love, well you can't really love since they were young. But is it impossible to fall in love at such a young age? Everyone referred to them as husband and wife, he would even visit her on weekends so they could spend time together. He would go to her mother's shop at the market and played with her and her siblings. Should her mother send her a quick errand home, he would follow her home just so they could be alone together. It was an innocent affection unsullied by lust and sexual desire. When it was time for senior highschool, she was transferred to another school and that left him alone with his feelings which metamorphosed into the fond affection you'd feel for a friend. Time wasn't kind to his feelings, but time isn't kind to anything at all. **Peace** was his senior highschool love, or so he thought. It would seem she only agreed to be his girlfriend so he could help her forget her last love. Oh she was a damsel, his damsel in distress. Her cleanliness was probably what he liked most about her. Her friends used to say they were a perfect fit. The very fact that they will definitely be among the top 10 neatest students in the entire school was something they at least shared in common. That wasn't the only thing they shared though, they shared a kiss too among other things. It was his first kiss, he would be delusional to think it was her first kiss. Highschool was over and so was the relationship they shared, it seemed like what was for the time being. Last he heard, she was a mother, a child born out of wedlock. He still had a soft spot for her, as she was the first person he exchanged saliva with. **Rita** was his third love, she was the kind of girl that makes neck turn when she is in sight. He was her first, rest assured that it wasn't the same with her, again. The relationship was short-lived, that has always been the case with his relationships. You would think third time is the charm, but that wasn't the case. They had gone on a date a day before she broke his heart into a million pieces. Well, that is an overstatement but whether it was a million pieces or two uneven pieces, it was still heartbreak. He would later found out that she already had eyes for another and that was why she ended the relationship. At least she was decent enough not to cheat on both guys by dating the both of them. **Ngozi** was next, after almost a year of healing and enjoying the single life. They had started as friends and decided to give it a shot when she confessed that she had a crush on him. He was skeptical, but he knew it was only a matter of time before he was head over heels in love with her, a gamble, but did it pay off? Things happened and he gained admission into the university, that would take him away from her and change their relationship into what one might call a long distance relationship. Communication declined because he had less time on his hand. Months passed and it would seem she had had enough of the sour taste that is now the relationship, distance wasn't helping too. Nothing was helping. For him, distance made his heart grew fonder, he was truly in love with her and was serious about the relationship since he saw her as someone he could spend the rest of his life with. Unfortunately, she didn't share his sentiment, she felt the odds were not in their favour and since they were age mates, it was unlikely as age doesn't move the same for males and female. He was of the impression love knows no bounds, but it would seem that she strongly disagrees. There it was, another end to another relationship and another heartbreak. He had thought this was the last straw, was he right? **Anna** came, she was his classmate and although their relationship had started as friendship, there was a special connection, safe to say he had never felt such a connection with any of the other before. The twist here is that Anna wasn't the only one, There was **Phoebe** too. It was a classic case of mind in one place and heart in another. He was in constant conflict of making a choice, an important one yet. Who does he choose? The one he loves or the one who loves him? Surely everyone has a choice they'll make should they be in that situation. But he made his choice though, for the very fact that he could see that being torn between two places has made him nowhere at all. To make anyone happy at all, you have to be somewhere. What is worse than unrequited love? **Would he rather be the one who causes pain or the one who endures pain?** Your guess is as good as mine. @Tomi-Ajax I have bestowed on you the task to sieve out what is from what isn't. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Favourite Holiday I decided to write my version of this after reading Olasquare's version, you can read his here. Found the questions interesting and thought: why not? So, shall we? https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29 **What sport would be the funniest to watch if the players were drunk?** I was going to say basketball, then I remembered rugby. Hahahaha. Drunk people playing that would be funny. Even the though of it is already cracking me up. Basketball will be funny too though. **If animals could talk, which would be the rudest? Why?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#if-animals-could-talk-which-would-be-the-rudest-why I agree with Olasquare on this about it being a giraffe. Their height is so intimidating and I feel they would look down on even humans and be very rude if they could talk. **Would you rather sneeze for an hour or have hiccups?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#would-you-rather-sneeze-for-an-hour-or-have-hiccups This is easy, as sneezing always makes me feel like my nasal canal wants to come out of my nostril with some sort of vertigo feeling afterwards. So, I'd pick hiccup for an hour without any doubt. That isn't exactly easy, but for me it is better than sneezing. **Who do you wish to run for president? Why?** Well, I honestly don't who who I'd like to be president but I do know it is someone who is willing to do what it takes to make a change and usher us into a new era of progress and prosperity. **If you were a dog, which dog would you be?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#if-you-were-a-dog-which-dog-would-you-be A malamute because I like that they look like wolves and have lots of hair too. Designed for the cold. I like the cold so it is either a malamute or a German shepherd. Which ever is fine by me. **What's your favourite travel destination?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#what039s-your-favourite-travel-destination Can something be my favourite if it has never been my destination? However, I will want to visit the Caribbeans hear they know how to have fun perhaps @Trifecta could give me a tour hahaha. **What's your favourite holiday?** Christmas, simply for the sheer fact that it has always been with family and new year is only a week away. Other holidays I have spent away from home. Christ,as has always been the one that I would say is special to me. **What's your favourite ice cream flavour?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#what039s-your-favourite-ice-cream-flavour Two years ago I would have answered strawberry, but right now I don't even know. Any goes for me as I am not really that into ice creams so I am not picky with it. Something plain and special about vanilla though. **What's your favourite media platform?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#what039s-your-favourite-media-platform Hahaha, Tricky, A year ago I would have said Twitter, but at the moment, Twitter doesn't pay me, so it is safe to say read.cash. It is a media platform I get to interact with people from different parts of the world and earn some money in the process too. What can beat that? **How do you like your coffee?** I like coffee, but I do not drink it often because of health reasons thus, I drink tea only. But I do like my coffee creamy. Don't know how people drink dark coffee as it tastes bitter. **How do you sleep?** https://read.cash/@Olasquare/11-questions-this-isnt-50-cents-4ef7aa29#how-do-you-sleep This question is ambiguous. I am not sure how to answer. Let me just answer in terms of sleeping position. I sleep either on any of my sides or on my belly. That is how I sleep. Today is one of those days the weather is just cool and calm. Was supposed to post something else, but I was typing on a PC when it went of and I had not saved the draft. I guess I'll wait for power to be back on so I can restore it on the page. One of the perks of read.cash. I didn't want to miss today's article so I had to pull this one from saved draft. Hopefully I can replace it tomorrow. Hahaha. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

The Road Less Traveled Today, I have decided to take a road less traveled by writing about things I don't like even though other people do them (knowingly or unknowingly). We all have our likes and dislikes as well as our individual personalities and habits, No one is perfect. We must understand that and learn to live with it and accept each individual as they are. Even with all my shortcomings, imperfections and bad habits, I have always found some things weird or inappropriate when other people do them. Perhaps, other people find it weird or inappropriate when I do certain things I may find normal or is my habit too. What can I say, I believe one thing the university has taught me is how to co-exist with people from different backgrounds. In this, my patience and tolerance level has increased quite significantly, as I have been exposed to different people with different habits and personalities. Some time ago, I saw a post on Instagram and I remembered it today as I was watching a movie on TV earlier. So, for fun purpose and perhaps, an opportunity to know me better, I have made a list of common things people do that doesn't seem appropriate or that I am not used to: **Soap Lather on The Bathroom Wall** For as long as I can remember, I have always found seeing lather on the bathroom wall or anywhere in the bathroom irking. Anytime I go into a bathroom and see soap lather on the floor or on the wall, I usually just wash it off before I start bathing. when I am done bathing I wash off any lather I set my eyes on, as I usually make the conscious effort of looking around the bathroom before I go out. Lather has a way of staining the wall when it dries up. So, cleaning it off is better, don't you agree? Hahaha. Cleaning it off too can make your bathroom look clean for long too. **Using Toothpaste** I absolutely have no problem with using toothpaste, as I use one every day. What I do find strange is people not pressing it from the bottom. Growing up, there is the impression that those who press toothpaste from the bottom are probably poor and want to use every paste they can squeeze out. But, I can't imagine pressing toothpaste from the middle or close to the opening of the tube and seeing it go in two different directions. I guess now that there is a toothpaste dispenser, it doesn't matter right? **Taking Things From Crates** It is usually weird when I want to carry eggs and see that someone else didn't follow the order with which the eggs have been arranged. I usually follow the other when taking eggs or drinks from a crate and if I meet that the order has been disrupted, I arrange the eggs back. Hahaha. Not just eggs though, I like to follow patterns in which things are arranged taking them one after the other. Someone once said that I am showing symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) what can I say. **Leaving The Volume on Even Number** I must admit that I find this very weird. Whenever I need to increase or reduce the volume of anything, as long as I can see the number, I always leave it in even numbers. I am just uncomfortable leaving it on an odd number and I really don't know why. **Sleeping With Light** My eyes are very sensitive to light, so I tend to squint a lot when I am out and it is bright. It is probably why I like the room dark and the brightness of my phone is almost always at the minimum. I find it hard to sleep whenever the light is on, even if there was no power and the bulb switch was on, if the power comes back on, I will wake up because of the light. It is also one of the reasons I find it hard to nap during the day. So, when I came to the university to see that my roommate was my opposite there was a problem. He always sleeps with the light on, and even if there was no power, he turns on the lamp or his phone torch. Oh well, Over time, I have learnt to adapt to sleeping with low light compared to complete darkness. **Conclusion** Adaptability is one of our characteristics as humans and we eventually become tolerant of others too. As I said, no one is perfect and we all have our differences, likes and preference. It is this variation that is key in our evolution as humans and also what makes us unique in our own way. Perhaps this can become a new prompt, as I'd like to know what it is that ticks you off but it is normal to some others or they have issues with it. Not sure if I should mention anyone, but feel free to participate if you feel it is worth writing about or you want to let us know. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`

Multiple Income; Recycle The Profit The article I published yesterday **A Baby And The Thoughts After** talked about my thoughts about becoming a father. Another thought I dived into afterwards led me to ask WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE? I remember making a comment on FarmGirl's article **Plowing Must Go On** talking about recycling money. https://read.cash/@Aimure/a-baby-and-the-thoughts-after-cbf08e50 https://read.cash/@FarmGirl/plowing-must-go-on-fddd4595 Just the other day, I was thinking about a Eva toilet soap I used to buy for 100 naira in our local currency, after a while the price went up to 120 naira and then 150, 180 and later 200 naria. I remember buying it for 200 naira in 2020. Now, I tell you the current retail price in my area is 400 naira, double of what it was barely two years ago. This is one of the many things which their price has almost doubled in a space of two years. That led me to think about the salaries of salary earners and whether it had doubled or even increased at all within this time. Your guess is as good as mine. Does the price of anything ever go down when there is a significant rise in the price? For instance, what will need to happen for Bitcoin price to fall back to what it was in 2020? Can it just happen overnight? Again, your guess is as good as mine. One thing is certain though, the cost of living is in a constant rise, how can one keep up when the income is constant or not increasing at the same rate as expenses. People will always say cut your coat according to your size, in other words: budget within the limit of your earnings. We all know things are cheaper when you buy in bulk. How many people can afford to buy in bulk? A lot of people earn little or nothing at the end of the month and really can't save anything because of their expenses. I can't blame a lot of these people as they are now family people and are burdened with the responsibilities that comes with having a family and children. Some of them don't help matters too as they often have more children than they can provide for. Saw a joke one time about poor people spending most of their time having the cheapest pleasure they can get with their wife and that is why they usually have so many children. Well, that is not the point now. If I ever had any hope that the government of my country will provide jobs and improve the life of its citizen that hope has sailed out the window and out of our galaxy. One of the conscious decisions I made last month was how to invest more and take advantage of what I perceive to be an opportunity to build wealth. It is now, now is the time to build a foundation that wouldn't crumble when responsibilities come crashing and I say now because you have little or no responsibilities except for may be yourself. A way to keep up with the constant increase is to have multiple streams of income. Have your hand not in every pie but in every bakery so you can make pie for people to put their hands in. One means of income doesn't cut it any more, unless that one means brings in a lot. But even at that, I would still advise you diversify. You don't necessarily have be a master of all skills or trade, people can do the work for you long as you can pay for their services. It is a common saying that little drops make an ocean, when you have multiple drops if income, when accumulated becomes something substantial and can perhaps keep you afloat (not sure about my choice of words). In conclusion, it is not too late to start planning and you can always find a way to recycle your profit to making more profits with it. You can be the jack of all trade as it might just be the essential trait needed to survive. `Thank You For Reading 🖤🖤`
