Freedom: The choice is yours!
Being a democratic country, Philippines have been promoting freedom since 1898, after the colonization of the Spaniards. For the past 333 years, we are colonized and forbidden to express our freedom and ourselves. We might not experience it today, but our ancestors did. Moreover, it was something to be recognized and be given appreciation as our national heroes depended our freedom for us. That is why we are thankful to them.

I love the way Mr. Nelson Mandela described what freedom is. As what I believe, **love begets love,** and **freedom begest freedom.** The power of freedom is in your hands, but the courage to respect and enhance the freedom of others will be in your soul.

But, everything we have has it’s own affiliated responsibilities. As the saying goes, ***freedom comes with responsibilities***. We are free to do what we want to do but always take into considerations the limitations of our actions as we perform and execute our freedom. And that’s why we have **laws.** Law is our manipulator and controller. Different laws, different limitations and responsibilities. That’s why we need to abide with it.

We said that we are in a democratic country and we are free. But, in our daily life basis, **are we really free?** There are lots of factors that hinders our freedom even though by state, we are free. It’s hard to say we’re free just because we can roam around and do whatever we want. Sometimes, we are the prisoners of our own destiny.
I’ve got to question myself, **Am I free?** **or I just pretend I am?**
In my 21 years of existence, I’ve experienced different kinds of situation where my freedom is tested. Let’s start with simple situations.
For example, when my age is below 18, I am not free to do everything I want unless otherwise my parents or other relatives accompany me. This was the time I questioned my freedom. I am a high school student that time and we are learning the history of our country and freedom is the main topic.
I asked my parents why won’t they let me do what I want. This is what they said. “My child, you are not still in the stage where you can understand the things around you. You still don’t know how to limit your actions. You will understand us when you grow up and became matured.” At first, I really don’t understand them, but now, what I can just say is “Thank God, I listened to them”. Now I finally understood.

Watching teenagers today vs the teenagers during our years are so far different. I suddenly thought about my past too. My parents won’t even let me ride a tricycle before but now, even a 10-year old child can travel by their own. They are now free to do what they want.
Growing up, I’ve started to think more maturely and more careful because I know now the consequences of my decisions and actions. And by this time, my parents are allowing me to do things I never expected for me to decide. They trusted me to use this freedom in a good way.
How can I say that I am free?
I can say that I am free because I’ve got to do the things I never expect me to do and accomplish. If before, I am not allowed to go on outings, today I am allowed to go. If before, I can’t have a boyfriend, now I can. If before I am not allowed to go outside whenever I want, now I can go. And this is what **TRUST** can do. My parents trusted me, and that force of trust is what I consider first before doing something I might regret at the end.

Being free doesn't mean it's okay to do things even though it's bad. Simple things have its own consequences and these consequences might be the reason for the loss of our freedom.
What might be the consequences if we abuse our freedom?
Your freedom will be taken away from you.
You will face your own consequences or punishment.
You will be forever unworthy of freedom for the eyes of others.
You cannot do the things you are used to do before.
You're life will be miserable.
These consequences are based on what I have read from different sources. Neither of them might be applicable depending on the situation you're in.
What I will advice is that, **never abuse the freedom you have 'cause you will never know when or how it will be taken away from you.**

Being motivated is one of the best feeling we could ever feel. Imagine yourself at the bottom rock, but have the courage to stand and raise your head up again.
Based on Mr. Dwight, motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it. It is your driving force that will give you the powers to do things you needed and wanted to do. It's not forcing yourself but giving yourself the strength to do things on your own. That's the power of motivation.

A person is motivated when he is surrounded by the people he love especially his family. He feel motivated because he knows that there are people who depends on him. Also, he feels that he wanted to make his family proud so he needs to work harder.

A person is motivated when he is in love. Being motivated is not only when it comes to work, it may also come with our personal feelings towards opposite sex. Example, when you love a girl, you will feel motivated to pursue her and make her yours.
**MOMENTS I GOT MOTIVATED**
There are unexpected moments when I suddenly feel motivated to do work. Personally, I don't have that urge motivation but I can still do work with enthusiasm and dedication. But there will always be a point in my life where I want to be motivated to the point that I will immediately do the things I needed to do.
For an example, tonight. I don't feel motivated to publish this article but I always have this **sign** from God telling me I should get works done. As I open this site, I've noticed that I've got a mention from @Ellehcim and was challenged to write about **motivation**. Maybe this was a sign that I need to publish an article tonight.
Going back, this was just some of the other times I got motivated. When it comes to my academic activities, I don't feel motivated anymore. Imagine having lots of activities to be accomplished but you don't understand every single word? I want to learn even in this current situation but unhealthy learning environment is forcing me not to. It's unhealthy and "unmotivational". I got motivated every time I want something to be accomplished or I want to achieved.
Even in the times I want to write here, I asked myself...

Being a writer is not just being a person who writes. I believe that a **writer is a person who shares his personal experiences, ideas and thoughts through writing.** Being a writer needs "hugot" in life, or something that motivates us from within. It's not easy to write just because you wanted to write.
**WHAT SHOULD I DO TO BE MOTIVATED?**
When I can’t feel the motivation I need, what I do first is to ask for God’s guidance through signs. Yeaaah I depend my activities to God’s sign. For example, as of what I’ve said earlier, if not for @ellehcim I wouldn’t have any article to publish tonight. Just another sign.
Another tip I can share to you is that when you want to be motivated, listen to Christian songs. It will make you relax and make your mind calm. You can think peacefully and clearly. Just like what I'm doing right now. I'm listening to this song in youtube entitled "Trading my sorrows".

So, as I browse here in readcash, I've noticed that some users have their own signatory profile image at their every last article in a form of GIF. So, I got envy, really, so I've decided to make one too.
During my academic days, we have discovered this site where we can create our own designs with desired features or aesthetic views. We have discovered this when our professor told us to create an infographic about a certain topic and this has helped me a lot.
**What is Canva?**
*Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content. The app includes templates for users to use. The platform is free to use and offers paid subscriptions like Canva Pro and Canva for Enterprise for additional functionality.*
**How to use Canva?**
First, go to www.canva.com and you will see this interface. https://www.canva.com/
Note: You might need first to sign up using your email, but it's just easy.
I have already signed up here as you can see at the upper right side of the screen.
What you will do is just click the "Search Canva" and input what you desired to do.
For an example, you wanted to create an invitation, just type "invitation".
As you can see, there are lots of templates to use depending on your desired theme or design. Just click anything you want and you will see this interface next after clicking the template.
Here, you can edit the template. There are many choices at the left side of the screen so just explore the settings. When you're finished and want to save it, just click the "arrow down" style at the upper right side of the screen.
Upon clicking, you can choose any format you want.
So, that's how you do it.

Unfinished Thoughts
I've been setting myself last week that I will be productive when this week come. I've made plans and schedules but none of that was followed. This just made me realize that it's not really what we have planned to do, it's what's the plan of the above.
Since it's academic vacation, I really dedicated myself to be active here and even planned out on how many articles I will publish everyday. I want to save money - for my upcoming On-The-Job training and also for my personal necessities. I believe that I'm already at the age where I don't need to be dependent on my family anymore. This platform made me realize that I can earn for myself just by using my talent. Yes, it's not easy writing and creating contents but it's worth the wait and hard work. Nothing comes for free.
Last week, I think I'm not yet in the mood of writing and publishing content. I have here 5 drafts that I just started but never have finished. There are times when I have something to say but I'm just starting the story, but not able to finish it. This is the main struggle of a writer - TO BE RUN OUT OF IDEAS. I'm really having the hard time to manage my time and finish all these unfinished articles.
Right now, I'm planning to start again - zero balance with new articles to see how much I've earned in this week-long vacation. All the savings I will get here will be allotted in my upcoming OJT. Apparently, I need Php. 15,000.00 or approximately $314.06. It was really a large amount of money and I don't know how can I earn that much. Maybe I can just give some to my mother and I know my sisters will help me too.
I will end my article here for now. I am planning to write a bigger and valuable content later after our board exam review for the graduates.
It's Vacay Day!
After all the long days, weeks and months of academic affairs, it's time to move on and let go. Since last week, I've been in a hectic schedule where deadlines and academic stuffs are endless. I've never imagined succeeding all of those struggles against activities and projects. There are moments I've wanted to just give up, or just submit late but my conscience won't let me.
The fulfilment I had after submitting requirements is one of the best feeling everyday. I just got that motivation **"If they can, why can't I?"** and **"After this, I will really free and reward myself".** And the last day came, FINALLY! Yesterday was the last day of our suffering in our thesis and the last day of our semester before our OJT start.
**May 29, 2021.** The best feeling in the morning is waking up with no school requirements to be accomplished. Atlast, naubos din ang nasa gclassroom...
As a reward for ourselves, me and my friends decided to have a good time, relax and just enjoy this day. We've decided to have a swimming with my friend's churchmates. Actually, me and my other friend was just invited hahaha. They treat us the foods while we pay for our entrance fee worth about $2. It was all decided.
Before I went in the resort, I first wash the dishes. (pampalubag-loob para payagan Hahahaha). After, around 9:30, I prepared everything I need including clothes and towel. I arrived at the resort around past 10 since it was just a 5-minute ride from our home. My friend welcomed me and proceed at the cottage.

Unfortunately, I didn't take a lot of pictures around the resort because I don't want to be pre-occupied by phone during the whole time. But I've got here some shots.
After I came, we started taking pictures and those are the result. It was amazing. Thanks to Loi for being our photographer. Hihih
Fast forward, we decided to go to the pool after we changed clothes. Unfortunately, we did not take with us our phones since we wanted to just focus on enjoying the day. We had lunch, we had talks and laughs.
Around 3pm, my friend and her churchmates decided to finally leave the place since they still have some stuffs to do. Me and Cha decided to stay there for a longer time. We just chatted, tour around the pool HAHAHAHA and share our feelings and experiences. It was such a great time!
Around 4pm, we decided to pack things up and prepare ourselves. We took showers, changed our clothes, and clean the mess in the cottage. When we are about to leave, the rain start to pour heavily so we are kinda stranded for about 10 minutes.
When the rain stopped, we separate ways and went home.
When I arrived at our home, my doggy greeted me with his wagging tail! All my tiredness went off. Hihihi my stress reliever and "relaxer". As usual, I told them my experiences during our swimming then my mother asked me to cook rice so I cook the rice.
At the evening, my brother bought chicken wings and we ate all together. After we eat, I immediately turned my laptop on and prepare the assessment exam about Irrigation and Drainage which is due this 11:59pm. This is our one way of helping our co-course who will take their board exams.
And now, I am writing this article. Actually I don't know how to start or how to construct my article but I just let my hand do its thing.
Today is our 1st Vacay Day and still looking forward for more adventurous days next week before our OJT start. We just hope everything goes smoothly as planned!

**1. The first Bitcoin purchase was for pizza.**

But it was until 22 May 2010, when someone purchased something with bitcoins.
Seven years ago on this day, someone bought Piazzas with bitcoins and this purchase was a big deal because no retailer was accepting bitcoins at that time for goods and services.

The Bitcoin blockchain is a **permanent ledger** which is transparent. If anyone knows your Bitcoin public address, they can see how many bitcoins you hold and what transactions you have made.

James Howells, an IT guy, lost 7,500 bitcoins in November 2013. While he was cleaning his desk at home, he threw away his hard disk containing the private keys of bitcoins which he had mined in 2010.
The realization dawned on him when he read the news of a Norweigan man who made a fortune by buying BTC at a low price.
He searched and searched, but could not find his hard disk.
At present, the worth of 7,500 BTC is approximately $19.4 million.
Without the private key, the funds are lost forever no one can use them.
Until this point in time, it is estimated that around 25% of all bitcoins have been forever lost.
**5. Bitcoins don’t grow on trees.**
Just like money, bitcoins also don’t grow on trees.
But unlike traditional paper money, you can’t touch, feel, or print bitcoin.

As a musically inclined person, I use music to lessen the stress I had, the pain I'm suffering, and the happiness I'm experiencing. Different music gives different meanings - depending on how it affects someone's thoughts and feelings. Music can even change a life!
One of the most famous musician/composer is Katy Perry. I bet, most of you know her and her famous songs. Me, too, knows and idolizes her. For the information of everyone. Katy Perry is born in a family of Christian missionaries and those non-religious songs have been forbidden in their household. Maybe, this is one of the reasons why I idolize her. The first album that she released was a gospel-influenced, but sadly, didn’t became famous, which somehow, saddens me.

The reasons of my Inactivity
Everything goes smoothly on my academic journey not until all the deadlines coincide within a week. It was the week that all the students are afraid of. It's what we called **"Hell week"**. Hell as in hell. All the deadlines, final exams, projects and etc.
It's been a week since I last wrote an article here and as you notice, I have published a short article 2 days ago, saying I'm going to return here. Unfortunately, deadlines blocked my schedule. There are some unannounced deadlines that we need to finish.
Let's start last May 18, 2021. My techno groupmates decided to go here at our house and do our project which is the miniature of our machine. We don't yet have the final design so it took as a while before we finalize it. About 8:30, we had our dinner prepared by my Mom. Then after dinner, we proceed on our project.
Every one has their own work to do. One is preparing our advertisement, while the other one is calculating the dimension, while the other one is doing our miniature, while I finalize our design and the powerpoint presentation. After a long discussion, we finally came up with our design and decided to go for it.
If you're wondering what our technology do is that it is a combination of three pili processing machines with different functions namely sorting, cracking and peeling. The word **PiProMac** was a combination of **Pili Processing Machine.**
At around 4am, we just finished the first machine of our technology. Imagine, we are combining 3 machines in one technology and the deadline will be on Thursday so we still have only 1 day to go.
After of almost hours of working, this is our progress. Well, it's not bad. We still have 24 hours to do it that time.
Wednesday, May 19, we have 3 scheduled examinations. First in 9am, second in 1pm, and third is on 4pm. I prepared first our breakfast. hehe
It was amazing taking the exams together with your classmates HAHAHAH **sign language is the key.** We can't freely talk to each other because our camera is on and our teacher might see us.
The exams are done, so we're back in our business. After the long hours of doing the miniature, we finally finished our design. I think we finished the miniature around 3am already. And if you're wondering what it looks like, here it comes...
After all the hardworks, tadaaan!!! It was worth it. We take some rest in the morning and prepare for our pitching in the afternoon.
The presentor of our technology will be based on the wheel of names that our professor have prepared. **AND I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHY I'M ALWAYS THE "CHOSEN ONE". HAHAHA** during our practice, I am also the one who presented our technology, and now, I'm the presentor again hahaha.
Well, after I presented our technology, they asked me several questions regarding our presentation and thanks God, I'm able to answer all of them. And yeaaaah, that's the end of the war hahahaha char. Raos na din sa wakas.
After the event, my groupmates decided to go home since they have been here for 3 days and 2 nights. Hahaha After they leave, my bestfriend, who was celebrating her 21st birthday, went to our house and asked me to accompany her in the church because she will light a candle.
After we have visited the church, she invited me to go to a food place near the church. She treated me with a **tapsilog and a milktea.**
After we ate, I asked my brother in law to come and fetch us because it was already 7pm and it's dangerous to walk outside. After a couple of minutes, he arrived and we safely arrived home.
I take a rest first by playing with my dog and with the other two dogs named **Luna and Cooper** - the blue-eyed puppies. <3
Around 9pm, I started our project again which deadline is on Friday. So, I installed again sketchup app and proceed to our project which is a greenhouse for tomato. I didn't imagine I will finish our project around 3am, AGAIN.
So, basically, for 3 days straight, I've sleep at 3am - 4am. On Friday morning, I woke up at around 11am which means, my breakfast and lunch will be as one. My mother didn't even bother to wake me up because she knew I was so tired. So yeah, in the afternoon, I still fixed our project because there are some errors or mistakes.
Around 4pm, we attended our class.
In the evening, I didn't even bothered to eat my dinner because I was so tired that I rather sleep than eat.
The morning came and my head was breaking!!! I never felt that pain before. It was migraine I think. It lasted until evening, and when evening came, I burning and have a fever. My mother gave me medicine to take and let me sleep. I got hungry so my sister cooked egg and noodles for me, then I sleep again.
Sunday morning came, but I am still not feeling well so I can't attend the mass. Unfortunately, it was also our renewal day. Hays I cannot even attend it. So my sister just prepared the papers for me.
I am not feeling well during the day so I just take some rest. I ate some apples brought by my partner.
And now, I am trying my best to update here as long as I can. Thankfully I reached this stage in my article.
There's a lot of things to catch up here but I think my fever is coming back. **Sana all bumabalik. Hahaha char.** So, I took first my medicine before continuing writing here. hehe

Technology and Agriculture in the 21st Century
The uprising modernization has brought this society an unexpected change. With more and more youths using smartphones and social media, change is on the rise. Technology puts a lot of influence on many youths of today and can cause proliferation of different issues concerning the demeanors and emotional states of youths such as depression, anxiety and even suicidal thoughts. It became effective as a way of changing even the things we loved the most.
Every generation of youths is shaped by the social, political and economic events of the day. Today’s teenagers are no different – however, they are the first generation whose lives are saturated by mobile technology and social media. Life history theory argues how fast teens grow up depends on their perceptions on their environment. If we will talk about youth’s lifestyle before, it partially no different when compared to the youths in the present. They still do the same things that youths did in the past such as going to school, doing their daily routine/ habits, spending time with their family, and so on. However, their lifestyle became different in the way they communicate. If before they always want to chat or talk face-to-face, well today, young people are always with their phones even at home, school and public areas. Even if they are with their circle of friends, devices are always there. I’ve realized so much changes on youths especially with their behaviors.
It’s sad to say that even the behaviors of youths today are also being altered because of technology. Technology has changed the relationships of families. Distracted by their laptops, TV’s, smartphone and video games, families can’t have a friendly attitude towards each other as they used to in the past. Before the creation of these devices, families would sit together around the table and play games together.
But, since the creation of video and online games, home entertainment has changed to games played by yourself and the impact of these games on families is very obvious. An example of was based on my own experience. My youngest sister, around 10 years old, is always with my Mother’s android phone. After doing her homework, she will always grab the phone and play games, watch videos or play music. I always told her how our life was before during our generation that after our dinner, my father and I always play chess, or me and my older sisters play sungka or jack and stone. We also sleep early and excited to go to school. As what I have noticed of today’s generation, their sleeping time was around 10pm and above then will become lazy to go to school.
Another thing is that, frankly speaking, some youths are disrespectful with the elders. They have attitudes that adults don’t like. They don’t respect them because of their age. Also, young people never get along well with adults in any period. They find it clingy or childish. If you’ll ask young children before, they will find it sweet and amazing. Evolution of technology had really influenced youth, even with their studies and perceptions in life.

As what Macolm X quoted, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”. Education have always been our path to success. However, it seems not for the youths today. As what is observed, there are youths who are not attending schools, some are because of financial problems which can be considered. However, they are also youth who “can” financially go to school, but chooses not to.
An example are those youths who are addicted in playing online games. Instead of going to school and spend the money their parents gave for food and school fees, they choose to go directly to the computer shops and spend the whole day playing without their parents knowing. Because of these online games, youths are also influenced to speak harsh or blasphemous words.
One day, I entered a computer shop. The first thing I saw was a group of high school students playing Mobile Legends, an online game that is famous today. What captured my attention was that they are still wearing their school uniforms and that time, it was I think school hours. See? How technology changes youth. It so sad to think that they don’t value education because of influence of technology. I’m not saying technology is not beneficial to students. In fact, is was a big help. But only for those who uses technology effectively and productively.
Another influence of technology to the students when it comes to education, was being a lazy student. Yes! It was also based on my experience and I’m guilty. For an example, our professor wrote something on the board, I will just take pictures of it. If before, I love to jot down notes in my notebook because I can recall again the lessons while I’m writing, however, now I became dependent to my phone as my notes. Then, as a result, sometimes I forgot what have been discussed especially the key words. Technology was really a splash of transformation.
Indeed, the evolution of technology has changed the society in both positive and negative ways. From our life style, behavior, education and social life. it has mostly impact to the youths today. Technology has simplified the access to many aspects needed by people especially in education, work, or daily life. However, we can’t also deny that these devices had somehow changed the way we used to be. We embraced the modernization too much that we overwork ourselves just to join the group. We always want to be involved in even a single issue in social media. One cannot leave house without phone. A day will be incomplete without phones. This became the mentality of youths today. On the other hand, technology doesn’t always focus on youth but also to our agriculture.
As an engineering student, focused on agriculture machineries, technology became a hand. It became easier for us to create machine because of the aid of technology. For example, instead of buying books related to our course, we will just browse in internet then we will find the answers. I remembered what my Aunty (a former Ag-Eng student) told me. She told me that before, around 1980’s, they really struggled with their machines because of lack of resources.
But today, it was just a one-click access. It really became a big help in agriculture because we can now invent or create machines more effective and more accessible that will help our farmers. Technologies was the foundation of everything today. The evolution of technology cannot deny its effects or transformation brought in today’s generation. We are so much engaged in technology that we tend to forget the reality of life. We are now really modernized. We are now really transformed.

The Unspeakable Truth
In Sherry Turkle’s speech entitled “Connected but Alone”, she affirms a lot of factuality about technologies and how it plays a role to every individual when interacting with each other. She also wants to share about a particular effect of technology – that we are letting technologies take us to places that we don’t really want to go. She also insisted that we let these small devices manipulate our actions, where we always depend. They are so powerful that it does not only change what we do, but also change who we really are.
In today’s generation, we are more likely an investor of these devices. Can’t you realize that even in meetings, we were with these devices? In school? Even when having meal times with our parents. We are together but no being together. How ironic that we always want a real conversation but our dependency on technologies always prevails. We don’t realize that we are creating troubles in such a way that, we are used in isolating ourselves from others. What burdens most is that if given an option, we would not mind getting rid of all real conversations like a face to face conversation. Turkle emphasized her idea of “Goldilocks’ effect”, which means “not too far, not too close, just right”.
People like having a lot of someone as long as it is from a distance and they can still control it. As the talk moves along, she expresses how human relationships became demanding, how “conversation” turned into “connection”, and how “connection” turned into “isolation”. We should learn to have a conversation because it is also a way of learning to have a conversation with yourself. She again makes a strong juncture. She contends that we expect more from technologies and less from one another. This is because technology appeals to us when we are at our most vulnerable stage.
People are afraid that no one will listen which leads in spending time with machines because we are tempted by machines that offers companionship. We feel comfort with technology. We are losing our self-confidence to have a conversation with one another which leads us being alone. We are lonely but afraid of intimacy. We covet the illusion of companionship without the demands of friendship. What technologies bring us gives the three (3) gratifying fantasies – attention when we want it, a sense that we are always heard, and letting us know that we are never alone.
The most important thing that we need to do is to learn how to be alone. This is because if we do not know how to be alone, we will just make ourselves lonelier by diving into technology and moving away from reality. Let us not cultivate the capacity to solitude where you find yourself so that you can reach out to people. Let us focus on ways technology can lead us back to reality. They all need us.
The speech "Connected but Alone" by Sherry Turkle made me realized two major points – we need to learn how to be alone not be lonely, and focus on ways technology can lead us back to the reality. They all need us. Indeed, technology had always been a part of our lives. Practically saying, some people cannot go through the day without using devices. However, people should learn how to use technologies in a sensible way. We should not take technology for granted.
As what Turkle said, we are more focused on these devices and less with one another which leads us being alone. Being alone is different from being lonely. Being alone is when you want to be with yourself to find something in you so that you can reach out to others. Meanwhile, being lonely means you have all by yourself, having no one to turn to. Based on my own experiences, I think I never been lonely. Sometimes, I'm alone because I want me to spend my "Me Time", but I never consider myself as lonely or having no one to turn to. I grew up having people who cared so much for me. And I am thankful.
Honestly, my first time having an android phone was 3 years ago, unlike today, that even kindergartens have their own phones. It saddens me to think that they are more engaged with games on their phones rather than playing outside with their friends. My sister was like that. But I always told her not to practice such behavior. As I was browsing on Facebook, I saw someone shared pictures of the kids during our time, when technology was a stranger. I suddenly missed my childhood days. I always came to think of what might be the kids today if phones are not invented? Or rather phones are prohibited to kids? Maybe, there will be no more social issues that triggers teenagers nowadays. Maybe there will be no high expectations or judgements.
As an engineering student, I admit that I am also with technologies because in my field of study, where machines will be invented, come to think that it will be so difficult if technologies weren’t there. Technology makes everything easier for us that is why, as future engineers, we are making a way to develop more our technology by creating machines that will help the majorities. Our field of study is focused on agricultural machineries, which I like most because as an Agricultural country, we can create machines that will help in the progress of our country. However, we are not merely considering technology as a way to just make works easier, but as a way that leads us back to the reality. Reality needs us. We should not avoid it. Technologies plays an important role in our profession. It was, I think, the main “frame” of engineering. When I said “frame”, it was the basic structure, support and shape of engineering. Without technology, there will be no machine. And if there will be no invention of machines, there will be no engineers who will invent machines.
On the other hand, being an engineering student is a pressure which sometimes leads to our emotional breakdown. During these times, technologies were always there. I have some classmates who cried because maybe of a failure in a subject. I can see that sometimes they are alone. I even discovered that some of my classmates are “costumers” in our clinic. Then, I noticed that they are posting on social medias, a product of technology, how they felt. They found a way to lift their burdens, even in a small way. If we come to realize, technology sometimes became the companion of people. If we are having a hard time, we use our phones, play games or do things which satisfies us. The mentality of human enables us to do some things which is beyond the reality. We don’t want realities because it hinders us to be happy. We want to do what makes us happy, and we found a way in technology. We are afraid of having a conversation with example, to your friend, and just chose to be with technologies where we think we can find comfort but still lonely. That is the saddest part – when we chose to be lonely rather than having a real conversation, well in fact, what technologies bring us are just gratifying fantasies.

Remarkable Events during the Copernican Revolution
1. Modern science was born out of an effort over many centuries to understand the motions of celestial bodies.

What happened?!! HE JUST FED MY DOG LARGE BONES!!! My dog is still a puppy and we never really wanted to feed her with bones because it might choke her and cause her death! You never really cared for them! And that act of yours, bring back all the memories we had about you. You started it again - with your endless vice!
You even get jealous because we're allotting more money to her than to you. I guess you are not deserving anymore. How could be your mind so narrow that you think like that?
YOU'RE ALWAYS UNREASONABLE!

Happy Mother's Day (Part 3)

Yeees, we've just done with our celebration and we are now just currently having some nice conversations. I am so excited to share this another milestone in our life - my mom's day celebration.
We really had fun today though it's really tiring and expensive. But the smile from my Mom's face lifted and remove all our worries away.
After my nap, I prepared my self and took a bath. After that, we prepared our simple surprise for my Mom. We prepared the cake, the 18" x 18" size pizza, and the all-time fave pancit sisig. My older sister also prepared some pictures and a tarp papel which she just printed out. That made the ambiance more meaningful.
After all the preparation, we called her and she was like "Ay woooow". Hehehe and then smiled. We hug her and greet her with the widest greetings and hugs. We had our picture taking together with our Baby Fur-Kaki. She was also on-the-go in the picture taking.
Of course, we won't be late for our own picture taking. The 4 sisters with a doggy. Hahahaha. What I love most about occasions is that we really had the chance to be together again. We forget first our responsibilities and just enjoy the rest of the day 'coz tomorrow is another battle day. I wish everyday is like this...
My mom is one of the best mom in the world and if ever given the chance to choose her or others, I will always choose her no matter what. I'm so thankful that she is my mother. <3
Anywaaaays, today is a double celebration for me. It's not just because it's Mother's Day, but also because it's my **1st Month** here in readcash. Waaaah, Time flies really fast!
From this very first article I published, until now, I never imagined I'd be this far. For over a month, I've made 12 subscribers whom I'm really thankful for. I published 48 articles so far, received about $39.65 in total. It's still far from my 1BCH Goal but I think I can still make it. Though I need to start again because of some unexpected circumstances. Thank you for everyone who upvoted me especially to @TheRandomRewarder for believing in my articles.
Life is a circle of happiness, sacrifices and responsibilities but that's what our life is meant to be. We are not always on top. We are not sure of what will happen to the next seconds of our life. That's why, we need to cherish and enjoy if we have the chance to.

Happy Mother's Day (Part 2)
Before anything else, I would like to extend my warmest and sincerest gratitude to all the mothers out there. This is your day, Mom. Happy Mother's Day! <3

It's always in our heart to start Sunday in the church, but I guess it's an extra event today. Me and my sister woke up at 5:30am and with 30 mins of preparation, we managed to reach the church before the mass started. The church was unusually full today. There are lot of mothers who attended and offered during the mass celebration. After the homily, the priest called the attention of all the mothers who attended the mass and gave them blessings through the holy water. We also have 3 mothers in our choir group who also received the blessings.
The mass ended about 7:40am. Me and my sister went first to the grocery store to buy some chicken and cake. Unfortunately, the cake section didn't have the supplies yet and told us that it will arrive at 9am. We couldn't wait any longer because the chicken is already needed in our house to we just decided to go home.
Meanwhile, my sister had an agenda in her office in Ligao City so she invited me to go with her and buy the cake in Graceland. It's all settled now. When we are about to leave, our mother asked us where are we going. Hahahaha soooo, we lied and just told her that we will make some deliveries because my sister has an online shopping business. So yeaaah, with a hidden agenda, we drove to Ligao City.
We went first in her office to get the orders. Her office is beside the church.
After getting the orders, we went first to the landbank and withdraw some money - the money I earned here. It's about $29.46. Thank you readcash for this.
Then we went to Pandayan bookstore to buy some decoration supplies. Unfortunately, the rain poured so hard that we decided to take a rest first there. I think it took us 10 mins to wait 'til the rain stop.
Our next destination is the LCC Supermarket where I bought another chicken and some grocery stuffs.
After in the LCC, we went to Graceland to buy the cake. The line was so long because people are rushing also to buy cake. My sister bought me ice cream for me to eat while waiting for her. Hehe. After of almost 40 mins of waiting, my sister finally got out in the store.
Before we directly went home, we first handed the orders to the costumers since it's just along our way. After the meet up, we finally went home.
About 11:53am, we reached our home. We are so careful about the cake because my mother might see it and spoil the surprise. We had our lunch and decided to take some rest. I feel so sleepy now so I just update the part 3 later for the main event.
As of now, I'm going to take a nap first. Goodnight. :)

Happy Mother's Day (Part 1)
Tomorrow will be the day, we Filipinos celebrate the Mother's Day in honor of our dear mothers. It's a day to commemorate how great they were and how thankful we are 'coz without them, we are not here.
Being called mother is not always by blood. I also consider myself as a mom. Yeeaaah, I'm a fur-mom. Hihihi I have my little baby Kaki here with me. <3 She is a 10-month old shih tzu given to me by my brother's girlfriend.
Going back, I already said that being called mom is not just by blood but also by heart. Your dear friend can be your mom, or you can be a mom if you have a pet. It's such a great feeling being called Mom and have someone to call Mom.
This was last February 4, with my Mom celebrating her 51st Birthday. It was not as grand as we planned because we are short of money, but it doesn't matter anymore. What matters is the effort and the completeness of our family in her special day. We love her so much that we can't afford to lose and disappoint her.
Being Mom is not easy as it seems. One time, my Mother left over 2 weeks to visit her sister in Manila who was hospitalized because of illness. I remembered it was end of February 2020, and the lockdown was March 13, 2020. During their 2 -week stay there, we are obliged to work for ourselves. It's hard to live without the mother's supervision. Example, no one will wake you up in the morning, no one will prepare your breakfast, no one will do your laundry, no one will greet you, no one will care for you. I can't imagine what our life might be is she's not here. Fortunately, they are able to go back here before the lockdown starts, or else, it will take much longer for them to go home.
As part of the tomorrow's celebration, we prepare a coffee jelly. It's our favorite dessert made by Mom. Hehehe Though we also have some plan for tomorrow.
Me and my 4 siblings are going to surprise her with some foods and gifts I think. But as of now, we are short of budget and still have not yet made our concrete plan. As of now, we've decided to order the goliath pizza worth Php 1399 or about $29.28. We decided to just contribute Php 300 or $6.28 which I think is still affordable for me because I made some savings here in read.cash. Thank you @TheRandomRewarder for giving me something I didn't expect to have and also to some users here tips me especially to Ate @bheng620 and @Ellehcim. Thank you so much!
For now, my sister is doing a paper tarp for my mother. We are hoping it will be a success. Before we celebrate the Mother's Day, we will first attend the morning mass as thanksgiving to the Father <3

Inse-CUTE-rities

I always believe that there is something beautiful in every thing we have. Just like the title of this article, inse-cute-rities. Yeah it might sound fun to you, but I find it so witty. Hahaha I just thought of it when I'm inside the church this afternoon.
Let's start with my physical appearance. I'm not tall, I'm just 5'3 in height, have a normal body shape, not slim nor not fat, have a long wavy hair, a round face, a pinkish or reddish lips (?) ( I mean, my normal lipcolor 'coz I'm not used with cosmetics), a "pango" nose (if you know what I mean), 20-20 vision eyes that I've got from my mom and a face that's not a clear skin one.
**Body Shape**
Way before, I'm not really conscious on how my body looks like, even if I have some belly fats or stretchmarks. But as I grow older, I came into this society where everyone "needs" to be body conscious for you to be noticed or be popular. I just don't understand some people who says "no to body shaming" but they, themselves, are shaming other's body. I mean, we all just want to be accepted and be "us". I suddenly want to have a regular diet though I love eating. My friends told me that I'm not getting weight but I still feel it and it made me conscious.
I know that there are no rules saying you need to be thin, or sexy for you to be accepted but it saddens me to think that that's how societies made us feel.
Especially girls, we don't need to be in comparison with others. You are "YOU" and no comments or discriminations should put you down. Love yourself. Keri natin yan!
**Nose**
It's been criticized that every country has their own kind of nose. Hahaha It made me laugh just to talk about this. Filipinos are said to be "pango" or the kind of nose that is not tall or pointed (?) I don't know that right term. I got my nose from my grandma, my mother's mother and my nose became my biggest asset and identity when someone sees me and ask me where family I came from.
My sisters are also teasing me with my nose because of all siblings, I'm the one who's nose is not great (?) or properly aligned? HAHAHAH well, you know it. I also had the nickname "Pangs", short for "Pango" or "Panget". Well I just accepted it as time goes by. HAHAH I can't do nothing about that. But I learned to appreciate it because no one can appreciate it except me. Even my partner is enjoying pinching and holding it. HAHAH well if that's what makes him happy.
But, I believe that it should not define you because you don't belong to those types of noses. As you can see, some foreigners are more attracted with "pango" rather than those who have a beautifully-build noses. But no offense to them 'coz honestly, I envy them sometimes but I guess it's not a bad gesture. What do you think?
**Lips**
I don't know why but I'm not fond of using cosmetics just like my friends or other girls I see. I always find them so pretty whenever they are wearing make-ups but when I tried it on, I look so weird. :D Maybe because I'm not used to it.
Though, I'm fine with what I have now, I still need to learn about this things, just like what my sister told me. In the future, I need to make my self presentable by using these products and I know I still have long way to go before I reach that stage.
**Wavy Hair**
Unlike my 2 sisters, who has a straight hair, I have a wavy hair that goes frizzy whenever I'm outside. And you know what? Sometimes, it makes me mad having these kind of hair because I don't have the chance to lay it off freely just like what others do. I always believe that the hair is the crowning glory of every girl.
My hair is not that frizzy when you look at it, but when you hold and feel it, well, you will be amazed HAHAHAH it always need comb. But whenever I take pictures, my hair is behaving so well. It is photogenic as always and that's one thing I love about my hair. You might think it's beautiful in picture but it's only in the picture, I assure you. Hahahaha I've been planning to cut my hair again, but majority of my friends and family don't agree with me. Btw, my hair is still the natural hair I have. I haven't tried going to the parlor and have it rebonded or what.
**Height**
Waaaaaah This is one of my insecurities as of now. I think instead of growing tall, I'm becoming smaller and smaller. Or it's just that my youngest sister, who was only 12 years old, has almost the same height as me. Hahahaha. I guess the youngsters nowadays are growing so fast.
One of my friend teases me being small but my other friend says the other one. Hahaha I got used to it and I just accepted it. You know, there's a saying, "small but terrible" Hahahaha But I believe I still have a normal height compared to others. Let's just stick to that.
I've mentioned everything I have, physically. Emotionally, I also have insecurities. Sometimes, I thought, "Why am I like this? Why do I have to act like this?" or like "Why don't I have the courage to say no?" or "Why do I have this kind of life, social or emotional?" "Why do I have this illness?", "Why?".
Lots of Why but the only answer is ACCEPTANCE. Why do I need to worry about those things when I have also somethings they don't have? Everyone is unique in their own special way. Accepting the facts that you have these insecurities will make your life inverted the way they used to be.
Example, instead of questioning your life, why don't you just go with its flow? Instead of stressing yourself out because of your insecurities, why don't you just do the things you're good and proud at? Never settle on the things that will make you realize how weak you are. You are just degrading yourself, you are just pulling yourself down.
This world is not perfect so you don't need to be one. No one decides for yourself - only you. Turn these insecurities to inse-cute-rities and make a change for yourself.
Remember, ACCEPTANCE is the key.

Chemical Applicator Sprayers
Another day, another "reporting" day! My content for tonight is about the Chemical Applicator Sprayer which we have reported this afternoon. With the help of my 5 co-members, we have accomplished this report. Actually, I'm the one who insisted to do the presentation and in return, they will help me with the reporting. I also divided them with their corresponding topics. One of the co-members also helped me in creating the handouts. So, here we go. I hope you can learn something in here.
**CHEMICAL APPLICATOR SPRAYERS**
Before we proceed to our main topic, let us first discuss the history of sprayers.
HISTORY OF SPRAYERS
Though methods of chemical pest control have been used for centuries, they were not always spread by machine; before the 1800s, most pesticides were applied by hand.
Early sprayers were most likely first developed to apply fungicides to the vineyards of Bordeaux, France.
Between 1850 and 1860, John Bean of California, D.B. Smith of New York, and the Brandt Brothers of Minnesota ,developed the hand-operated insecticide sprayer.
1874 marked the year that knapsack sprayers first entered the U.S. market.
At the beginning of the following decade, the first commercial spraying machine was introduced. By 1887.
In 1894, the first steam-powered sprayer was produced.
Advancements continued, and by beginning of the 20th century, the first gasoline engine powered sprayer was on the market.
1911 saw , the introduction of a pressure regulator and air chamber; these were employed to achieve smooth, uninterrupted spraying.
In 1914, Moses Rittenhouse began producing ‘orchard sprayers’ for the fruit-producing region in Niagara, later founding M.K. Rittenhouse.
Several years after the development of the row-crop tractor in 1925, tractor mounted sprayers were introduced.
The same year, low-volume, low-pressure sprayers were introduced. In 1945.At that time 10,000 power sprayers were produce.
In 1950, 75,000 power sprayers were produced.
WHAT IS A SPRAYER?
Sprayers are commonly used on farms to spray pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and defoliants as a means of crop quality control. There are many kinds of machine-operated sprayers, the most common of which are low-pressure, high-pressure, air-carrier, and fogger types.
Insects and weeds are largely responsible for the crop destruction. In modern horticulture and agriculture, insecticides/pesticides, a man made or natural preparation are used to kill insects or otherwise control their reproduction. These herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers are applied to agricultural crops with the help of a special device known as a “Sprayer.”
Based on the concept of high or low pressure, sprayer provides optimum performance with minimum efforts. There are several types of sprayers available in the market such as manual or self-propelled sprayers, tractor mounted sprayers and aerial sprayers.
APPLICATION AREAS OF SPRAYERS
Sprayers are not only used in agricultural applications but also in domestic purposes. Below is a few detail of their application areas:
Agriculture
Pest control
Water spraying
Small nurseries
Gardens
Spraying wettable insecticides and fungicides
Orchards
Vegetable gardens
TYPES OF SPRAYERS
Sprayers are available in variety of sizes and specifications, depending on the requirement of the plant / crop.
Following are the main types of sprayers used for insecticide or pesticide sprays:
1) Low pressure sprayer
Tractor mounted
High clearance sprayer
Trailer-mounted Sprayers
Truck mounted sprayers
2) High pressure sprayer
3) Air carrier sprayer
4) Fogger ( Mist blowers )
5) Hand operated sprayer
**Low pressure sprayer**
These sprayers are most widely used due in part to their relatively low cost. Low-pressure sprayer types include tractor mounted, high-clearance, trailer mounted, and truck mounted versions; they are typically operated hydraulically.
Low-pressure sprayers include an air chamber to level out the pump’s pulsations to provide a constant nozzle pressure, as well as pressure gages and regulators. Though booms are common on many sprayers, boom less power jet sprayers, with one to five nozzles on a single bracket, are also available.
Tractor-mounted
In a tractor mounted configuration, a tank ranging with a capacity ranging from 150 to 500 gallons (568 to 1,893 L) is mounted on a tractor. While the pump is attached to the power take-off shaft, it may be driven by a hydraulic motor. The sprayer’s booms can be located in the front, rear, or on the belly the tractor.
High-clearance Sprayers
These sprayers, derived from tractor mounted sprayers, are comprised of a tall frame that can clear corn, cotton, and tobacco, in addition to other tall crops. Additionally, high-clearance sprayers’ boom height can be adjusted depending on the height of the crop.
Trailer-mounted Sprayers
Trailer mounted sprayers, mounted on a trailer and towed by an agricultural tractor, comprise a tank with a potential 1,000-gallon (3,785-L) capacity. The pump, driven by the power take-off shaft or hydraulic motor, is mounted on the sprayer. These sprayers may have a boom measuring from 12 to 50 feet (3.7 to 15 m) in length. In addition, high-clearance trailer mounted sprayers are available.
Truck-mounted Sprayers
This design consists of a skid-mounted sprayer, powered by an auxiliary engine, placed in a pickup or flatbed truck. Flotation tires are included on larger units to aid the sprayer’s operation in wet conditions. These large models, including tanks that hold up to 2,500 gallons (9,463 L) and booms up to 60 feet (18.3 m) long, are most useful on expansive areas, or special applications.
**High pressure sprayer**
High-pressure application of chemicals is employed when spray needs to be driven through thick brush or tall trees. These sprayers, heavier and more expensive than low-pressure models, are able to operate under working pressures as high as 1,000 pounds per square inch (6,895 kPa). Aside from these differences, they are also hydraulically operated and consist of the same basic parts as low-pressure versions; they can be applied to the same tasks when outfitted with a boom.
**Air-carrier Sprayers**
These machines are often referred to as air-blast sprayers or mist blowers. Pesticides contained in air-carrier sprayers are transported in an air stream ranging in speed from 80 to 150 miles (129 to 241 km) per hour. Concentrated pesticides are used in these sprayers, as the air in which they are carried disperses and dilutes them considerably. The use of concentrated chemicals is therefore more efficient, as it takes little time to fill the tank when 80 percent less dilution water is required.
A common type of air-carrier model is the orchard sprayer, used to spray to either one or both sides of a row of orchard trees. One type of air-carrier sprayer used in fields is mounted on a turntable to enable the spray to aim in either direction. Another type used on shade trees can spray up to 100 feet (30 m) high.
**Hand operated sprayers**
Hand operated applicators are generally used to apply small quantities of pesticides both inside structures such as greenhouses or for small jobs outdoors such as on small farms or spot treatment on larger farms.
Hand-held sprayers usually have an air pump which compresses air into the tanks and pressurizes the spray mixture.
The pressure slowly drops as the liquid is sprayed. When the pressure gets too low, the nozzle spray pattern is poor. You must stop spraying and pump to rebuild the pressure. These sprayers operate at low pressures of 350 kPa (50 psi) or less and have small tanks of up to ten litters.
Back-pack sprayers are fitted with a harness so the sprayer can be carried on the operators back. Tank capacity may be as large as 20 litters. A hand lever is continuously operated to maintain the pressure which makes the back-pack sprayer output more uniform than that of a hand-held sprayer. Basic low cost backpack sprayers will generate only low pressures and lack features such as high-pressure pumps, pressure adjustment controls (regulator) and pressure gauges found on commercial grade units.
CHEMICAL CONTROL
Most popular way of applying chemicals in the Philippines is with the use of knapsack sprayers. Sprayers are used primarily for the application of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and plant nutrients.
FUNCTIONS OF SPRAYERS
Break the liquid into droplets of effective size.
Distribute the spray solution uniformly.
Regulate the spraying rate.
DESIRABLE QUALITIES OF SPRAYERS
It should produce a steady stream of spray material in desired droplet size.
It should deliver the liquid at sufficient pressure.
It should be light in weight yet sufficiently strong, easily workable and repairable.
BASIC COMPONENTS OF A SPRAYER
Tank - container that holds the chemical solution.
Pump - used to move fluids.
Pressure chamber - helps for continuous spraying.
Nozzles - the component which breaks the fluid into fine droplets.
Cut-off valve - provided in the delivery line to control the flow from the pump.
Flexible hose - the tube where chemical solution flor through.
Rigid lance - allows a greater reach when spraying.
NOZZLES
Performance is dependent on hydraulic energy as follows:
The HIGHER the pressure, the SMALLER the droplets.
The HIGHER the pressure, the HIGHER the flowrate.
The HIGHER the pressure, the WIDER the spray angle.
**Cone type**
This type produces cone shaped pattern of spray which could be hollow or solid cone.
a. Best suited for spraying crops because it produces a spray in which droplets approach the leaves from several angles.
b. The pressure is high and then orifice is small.
**Flat pan nozzles**
a. These are used largely for broadcast spraying, where foliar penetration and coverage are not essential.
b. The best operating pressure for flat fan nozzles is 15-30 psi, which produce coarser droplets that are not susceptible to drift.
**Double swivel nozzles**
a. This has two swivel nozzles instead of one, capable of independent movement.
**Spray Boom**
a. This design consists of several nozzles mounted on a rod, ideally suited to row crops, and can be operated with foot/rocker/knapsack/power operated sprayers.
**Spray Gun**
a. Spray guns consist of cut-of-valve extension rod and nozzle and can be trigger or hand-operated.
b. The spray pattern is adjustable from solid jet to hollow cone, and are most widely used for tall trees.

Yesterday's Day
So yeaaaah, Good morniiiing my v.diary! <3
I've been exhausted yesterday due to some cramming activities that's why I don't have anymore the energy to update here last night. Hahaha Well, you're not a student if you don't cram, char. Anyways, I've been so "productive kuno" yesterday in short, napilitan gumawa. Nakakapagod na ding gumawa just for the sake of compliance.
I woke up before 7am because I have to go on my classmate's boarding house to lend a help in completing our activities. I browsed my phone first to see any updates. My classmates decided to have a sleep over in my classmate's house but unfortunately, I can't join them because my Mom won't let me. I know she has her reasons that's why I didn't initiate more.
I fixed first my beddings. You can see my Baby BBoss Panda right on the top of my blanket. She's always beside me every night. Hehe. When I got up, my mother gave me a yumburger fresh from Jollibee <3 That was I think one of the best breakfast I had. HAHAHA charotsss.
To match my breakfast, I prepared my morning milk. I don't know why but I love milk more than coffee. Maybe because it makes my heart palpitate irregularly.
After I had my breakfast, I prepared my bag. Of course, don't forget our alcohol.
After all the preparation, I am now ready to go. I waited for a tricycle for over 5 minutes I think. So yeaaah after of almost 20 minutes of ride, I reached my school.
After a few mins of walk, I reached my classmate's boarding house. I borrowed his laptop and went to my partner's house to do it. We have a power interruption that's why classes are temporarily suspended which gave us the time to do this activity.
It's quite comfortable here. No background noises, unlike in our neighborhood. Hahaha. What I will do is a floorplan of Agricultural Machinery Building. I felt like I am a beginner in Autocad. Hahaha we have learned using this app 2 yrs ago so I need to refresh everything I learned. It was so fulfilling whenever I got a command right. This app was best for creating floorplans and other architectural related outputs - convenient and easy to use though it requires a quite large storage on your pc. This app also comes with different versions depending on the Windows version you have.
As you all know, him and I are on the same course but he's already graduated. So, he also have the skills in operating this app, so I asked him for some help and that made all the works easier for me.
Note: I just asked him some commands that I forgot. I'm still the one who have the big part hahaha wag kayong ano jan.
Fast forward, I made some achievements. Yeeeey!
Due to lack of time, I ended my output here. It still needs some lighting and power layout but it's already 3pm and I need to return the laptop to my classmate because he will report at 5pm with my "consideration with minus" professor. Ops! Hahahahaha.
I handed the laptop to him and decided also to go home for the 5pm class. My partner drove me home using Bumblebee.
What I love the most when travelling is the view. This volcano will forever be beautiful but dangerous. I really never get tired watching and looking this nature-made scenery.
After a couple of minutes, we arrived at home. After we reached our home, my mother told me to go and fetch my sibling in the neighborhood barangay so we went for a ride again but now, I'm the driver Hehehe yes! I'm learning how to drive a motorcycle. Actually, I do know how to drive it because my kuya taught me when I was in High school. So yeah, we reached my sister's place to fetch her and go home.
We took a little break and the separate our ways. I attended first our class and ended around 6:30pm. It was indeed a tiring day but productive in simple ways. I browse my tiktok app first and made some videos again ahaha my stress reliever.
After taking my dinner, I started with my acads again. The deadline is 11:59pm so I need to rush. With the help of my classmates, we have submitted all the activities before the time. It's was nerve-cracking but still the best.

Story of the Day
A child picked up a wallet. The wallet has a 100 peso bill. The boy went to the police station to ask for some help to return the wallet. When the owner arrived, he was very grateful to the child. But to his great surprise, instead of a 100 peso bill, he saw that it was full of coins. She asked the boy.
"Son, isn't my wallet a 100 peso bill? Why are there coins now?"
"One day, I also found a wallet with only one hundred peso bill. I found the owner of the wallet but, he said he did not have a coin so he could not give me a reward. Now you have a coin, and maybe you want to give me a prize ", the boy replied.
This is an interesting story, but let us meditate on its meaning. This story shows and proves the saying "Help your neighbor because it is the right thing to do, not because you want comfort in return".
When we help, let us not think that something bigger will come to us. We help because this is the right thing to do and this is our true mission in life.

Instruments used to determine the different properties of food
**Bio – Electrical Impedance Analyzer**

**Viscometer**

**Rheometer**
A device used to measure the rheological properties of materials; rheology being defined as the study of the flow and deformation of matter, which describes the interrelation between force, deformation and time
**Micrometer**
A micrometer is a measuring instrument that can make extraordinarily precise measurements. Most micrometers are designed to measure within one one- thousandth of an inch! That’s a close fit. Exact measurements like this are necessary when even the smallest of space between objects can cause problems or difficulties.
**Polarimeter**
Polarimeters are used in a wide range of applications, from the determination of the purity and concentration of ingredients in pharmaceuticals to the maturity testing of agricultural products to the measurement of the sugar content in beverages and candies.
**Food and beverage grade air compressor**
A food and beverage air compressor is a tool used by the food industry to provide clean, safe air for packaging, processing, and storing products. From cooking, storing, maintaining, and dispensing food, our food and beverage grade air compressors are made to the highest industry standards for safe handling.
**Penetrometer**
An instrument for determining the consistence or hardness of a substance by measuring the depth or rate of penetration of a rod or needle driven into it by a known force. It also measures the force required to move a plunger a fixed distance through a food material.
**Instron Machine**
For testing tensile, compression, fatique and impact on a material
Used to measure the texture changes of food products, for example, to measure staleness in baked goods. It does this by testing the firmness of the bread to measure the degree of staleness by measuring the force needed to squeeze the bread and create a texture profile analysis.
**Succulometer**
An instrument for measuring the moisture content of a fresh or processed vegetable product (such as ear of corn)
Uses compression to squeeze juice out of food as a measure of succulence.
**Textural Analyzer**
It is a double compression test for determining the textural properties of foods.
It is primarily concerned with the evaluation of mechanical characteristics where a material is subjected to a controlled force from which a deformation curve of response is generated
**Texturometer**
It was applied to measurement of the mechanical textural parameters: hardness, cohesiveness, viscosity, elasticity, adhesiveness, brittleness, chewiness, and gumminess. Subjective definitions of these parameters are interpreted in terms of physical measurement characterized by the texture “profile.”
**Three-point bend rig**
The large Three Point Bend Rig provides a base with graduated variable support length up to 240mm and accommodates samples up to 90mm wide.
The small Three Point Bend Rig provides a variable support length up to 70mm for a sample width of up to 80mm.
Typical applications include measuring freshness (by assessment of rigidity or flexibility) of vegetables and the break strength (or brittleness) of bread sticks, biscuits and chocolate bars.
**Pea Tenderometer**
Pea Tenderometer measures the quality and maturity of fresh peas, and works via the principle of cutting shear. It consists of a grid of blades rotated at constant speed through a second grid of blades. As the peas are cut by the blades, the maximum force is measured.
**Dilatometer**
A dilatometer is a scientific instrument that measures volume changes caused by a physical or chemical process. A familiar application of a dilatometer is the mercury-in-glass thermometer, in which the change in volume of the liquid column is read from a graduated scale.

Thoughts of the Day
So yeaaah, I've been writing my articles using my laptop, but unfortunately, it suddenly lagged and turned off. I am so afraid that it might break down permanently so I stopped using it first. Right now, writing this article, I'm using my mobile phone. It was quite challenging and somehow gets my hand numb, but it's still worthy to do this.
The laptop that I'm using is not mine. It's my sister's laptop. I'm just borrowing it for the meantime until I get my own. I'm currently saving for it. Actually, I have earned about $26 in this platform, but unfortunately, I need to use the $12 because of an emergency. So, I still need a long way to go.
I'm not just depending my savings here in read.cash. I am also a scholar in our school, under CHED STuFaps Gender and Development. I'm receiving Php 30,000 yearly, having 15,000 per semester. It was a great help especially during my normal days in school - when there is no pandemic. Financially speaking, I am not stable, but I can still survive this online class because of my sister's help. She managed to purchase wifi and it's a big help. Thanks Sis ❤️
Fast forward, what happened to my day? 😴😂 Well, yeaaaah, as usual, Monday is cramming day. We have 2 deadlines for tomorrow and now I'm cramming for it. This way of education sucks!!! YES! They want us to continue our schooling but it's not healthy anymore. Imagine having atleast 10 working paper from a single subject? We have 9 subjects but he still gives us more than we expected. Yes, it's doable, but it's tiring and not healthy in the mental health of the students. Imagine having to worry everyday for you to have a better internet connection but your prof gives you lot more than you can manage. Honestly, I don't know what to say anymore. Sana all nalang talaga 🙃
We still have 60 plates to do with our Project. IT'S REALLY HARD. Engineering and Architecture students can relate. 😩
So here it goes, in the morning I reviewed some of our lessons in Irrigation because we will have an exam. It's a 30-min exam that will make you realize how time is so fast. It is consisted of 5 multiple choice and 10 problem solving. Time was not enough. We asked for some extension but our prof didn't agreed to it, which made us more tense and mad. He didn't even considered some students. Nakakapagod na talaga. Kung pwede lang magstop na. 🙃
The exam ended and I can't guarantee that I passed it. I didn't managed to answer 4 problem solving, so I guess, goodluck nalang sa GWA. 😩 After the exam, I didn't think about it na, I just grab my lunch and eat - stress eating kumbaga 😆
After I eat my lunch, I played with my puppy, Kaki 😁 He is my stress reliever ❤️
I was about to do my acads again, when I remembered that we will be having the convocation for the upcoming election. I tried to open my laptop, and here's what welcomed me.
I waited several minutes, and finally, it opened. ❤️ Thanks be to God. ✨ Fast forward, I attended the convocation, heard their platforms and projects. It wasn't as good as what I expected it to be.
Being a leader is hard and it requires more attention. Naging leader din ako kaya alam ko ang feeling to lay down my platforms and convince them na ako ang iboto. During the said event, I was laughing because of my classmates responses to every candidate. Hahaha in short, binabash nila, binabash namin 😆 well, maybe we are just traumatized by what happened in the previous governance. They said that promises are meant to be broken. But for me, **promises are meant to be fulfilled, so if it's not fulfilled, it was never a promise.**
I got bored so I browse my gallery and look at some of my pictures and videos. 😁 I suddenly saw my picture having a short hair. 😁 So, I posted it in myday and asked their opinion if I should cut my hair again or not.

Anyways, right now, I am just having some relaxing time. I don't want to be stressed for a meanwhile and since my laptop is not responding to me right now. 😩

Soil and Water Conservation Engineering
**What is SWCE?**
Soil and Water Conservation Engineering (SWCE) is the application of engineering principles to the solution of soil and water management problems. It includes the classification of the water erosion, and the agronomical and engineering measures adopted for erosion control. The design of bunds and terraces are dealt in detail, followed by gully control measures. The wind erosion and measures to control it, e.g., the windbreaks and shelterbelt, are also included. Many examples and problems are included to emphasize the design principles and to facilitate an understanding of the subject matter with the help of computer models where applicable.
**What are the engineering problems involved in SWCE?**
**Soil Erosion**
It is the process by which soil is moved. When soil is eroded, it may become pollution in the water or air. The land where it came from, loses fertility. Not only is soil lost in the erosion process, but also a proportionately higher percentage of plant nutrient, organic matter and fine soil particles in the removed material is lost in the original soil. Erosion control is essential to maintain the crop productivity of the soil as well as control sedimentation in streams and lakes/ reservoir.
**Drought**
It is a reduction in precipitation over an extended period. A deficit of water can lead to the drying out of wetland habitats and the survival of all life forms become difficult. This rain shortfall creates a water shortage which damages crops, livestock and other human activities. This water stress can affect soil chemical, physical and biological activities that are essential for plant and soil health. Also, it can lead to the pollution of surface water since rain and flowing water bodies usually carry away the pollutants by draining the land, a lack of such water resources leads to the contamination of soil and remaining water resources with pollutants.
**Flooding**
Flood is an overflow of water that submerges land that is usually dry. It has positive effects, but mostly, negative. Chemicals and other hazardous substances end up in the water and eventually contaminate the water bodies that flood ends up. Flooding in key agricultural production areas can lead to widespread damage to crops and fencing and loss of livestock. Crop losses through rain damage, waterlogged soils, and delays in harvesting are further intensified by transport problems due to flooded roads and damaged infrastructure.
**Soil compaction**
Soil compaction is the reduction of soil volume due to external factors. This reduction lowers the soil productivity and environmental quality. It has different effects on crop yields (forages, tilled soils, no till-crop production), and in soil and crop health (soil density, porosity, penetration resistance, soil structure, etc.). Soil compaction causes a decrease in large pores (called macropores), resulting in a much lower water infiltration rate into soil, as well as decrease in saturated hydraulic conductivity. It also affects the habitat of soil organism by reducing the pore size and changing the physical soil environment
**Salinity**
Salinity is the accumulation of salt in land and water to a level that damages the natural and built environment. It usually occurs with other natural resource problems such as decreasing soil and water quality, erosion and loss of native vegetation. It can decrease plant growth and water quality, resulting in lower crop yields and degraded stock water supplies. The increased volume or concentration of salinity in creeks and streams affects irrigated agriculture and horticulture. It also adversely impacts on riverine ecosystems.
**What are the roles of Engineers in SWCE?**
The agricultural engineer has a major responsibility in helping to meet problems through development and application of practices that will reduce the unnecessary losses in storage, transmission, and application; and thus provide a higher percentage of the water for actual use by the irrigated crop.
The agricultural engineer has a major responsibility in developing new practices that will permit the entrapment and storage in the soil profile of a greater percentage of the available precipitation. Design of effective terrace systems with special water catchment areas, tillage practices that modify the soil surface configuration so as to retain precipitation and reduce the total evaporation potential, and surface evaporation control through use of mulches and films, are all challenges for the agricultural engineer.
*As a nation with exponentially increasing population, maintaining agricultural productivity to feed its people remains a top priority. Soil degradation of agricultural rain fed areas brought about mainly by water-induced erosion is a major concern. There are challenges from farmer levels to local government levels to national levels in the implementation of sustainable agricultural land management programs and these are mainly funding and value system transformation in nature. Despite these challenges, we are optimistic to hurdle and address the driving forces (indirect causes) and pressures (direct causes) of land degradation to reduce soil erosion rates to tolerable levels.*
