Electrical Controls at Home Before you proceed in this article, you might want to first read my previous articles Advance Electrical Controls for Smart Agriculture and Limit Switch (An Electric Control) for you to further understand electrical controls. https://read.cash/@noisytoothie/advance-electrical-controls-for-smart-agriculture-0ea97221 https://read.cash/@noisytoothie/limit-switch-an-electric-control-cf563d45 Basically, what I will present to you are some of the electrical controls I found here at our home. Sometimes, we also need to apply what we learned for us to better understand the concepts of certain topics. Hope you enjoy reading! USES, FUNCTIONS, AND INSTALLATION/ASSEMBLY PROCESS OF ELECTRICAL CONTROLS AT HOME **Uses and Functions** In its simplest form, a circuit breaker is an automatic circuit protection system. Breakers are installed in an electrical panel (breaker box) and each circuit is attached to a singular breaker. The breaker will monitor the circuit and in the event of a complication such as an overload, the breaker will immediately shut off that circuit. This is often colloquially called a “breaker trip” or “tripping a breaker” and it commonly happens when appliances or equipment acts up or too many high-power draw  tools  are placed (plugged into) a single circuit. **Installation/Assembly Process** 1. Turn off the power supply to the electrical panel. 2. Inspect the circuit breaker arrangement for unused locations. 3. Remove the electrical panel cover. 4. Test the panel to make sure the power is off. 5. Find an unused space next to or between existing circuit breakers. 6. Make sure you have the correct circuit breaker. 7. Set the circuit breaker handle to the OFF position. 8. Align the circuit breaker with the bars in the panel. 9. Firmly press on the circuit breaker to seat it onto the bus bar. 10. Connect the circuit wiring to the electrical panel. 11. Remove knockout plates from your cover as needed. 12. Clean all foreign objects out of the panel and reinstall the cover. 13. Turn on the main breaker and test your new circuit breaker. 14. Label the circuit breaker. **Uses and Functions** A fuse box sends the right amount of electric power to each circuit connected to it. The device can also switch off power supply to a specific circuit. Fuse boxes play a crucial role in protecting your home from electrical fires. ... Usually electrical circuits require a 15 amps fuse or circuit breaker. **Installation/Assembly Process** 1. Determine the Amperage Load. 2. Purchase Correct Fuse Box. 3. Disconnect power from Main Meter. 4. Remove fuses. 5. Disconnect Wires. 6.Remove fuse box. 7. Install and Wire the New Fuse Box. 8. Install new fuses **Uses and Functions** A light switch is a switch most commonly used to operate electric lights, permanently connected equipment, or electrical outlets. Portable lamps such as table lamps may have a light switch mounted on the socket, base, or in-line with the cord. **Installation/Assembly Process** 1. Purchase a new light switch that meets your requirements at a local home repair or hardware store. 2. Disconnect the power to the light switch at your home’s electrical service panel 3. Test the switch. 4. Remove the switch plate cover. 5. Unscrew the switch's mounting screws. 6. Remove the switch. 7. Pull out the switch. 8. Check the wires inside the wall box and identify each wire. 9. Disconnect the wires from the old switch. 10. Begin connecting the wires to the new switch. 11. Attach the white (neutral) wire to the silver screw terminal. 12. Attach the copper (grounding) wire to the green screw terminal on the opposite side of the switch. 13. Double-check that the switch is properly oriented. 14. Carefully push the wires back into the box and then push the switch up against the edge of the box and tighten the mounting screws into place. 15. Replace the switch plate and tighten the screws into place. 16. Return to the breaker box and turn the power to the light switch back on. **Uses and Functions** An electronic device used to operate another device from a distance, usually wirelessly. In consumer electronics, a remote control can be used to operate devices such as a television set, DVD player or other home appliance. A remote control can allow operation of devices that are out of convenient reach for direct operation of controls. They function best when used from a short distance.  **Installation/ Assembly Process** The signal between a remote control handset and the device it controls consists of pulses of infrared light, which is invisible to the human eye but can be seen through a digital camera, video camera or a phone camera. The transmitter in the remote control handset sends out a stream of pulses of infrared light when the user presses a button on the handset. A transmitter is often a light emitting diode (LED) which is built into the pointing end of the remote control handset. The infrared light pulses form a pattern unique to that button. The receiver in the device recognizes the pattern and causes the device to respond accordingly. Did you learn something? Now it's your turn to do the same. Try to analyze and discover something you usually use in your house. Happy Learning!

Limit Switch (An Electric Control) So for tonight's article, my content is about limit switch - one of the electrical controls I've presented before. All the images and information was based on my report and video presentation. These pictures are screenshots of my ppt report. I hope you will enjoy and learn something here. Thank you! A limit switch is an electromechanical device operated by a physical force applied to it by an object. The limit switch is used to detect the presence or absence of an object. These switches originally used to define the limit of travel of an object, and as a result, they were named "Limit Switch". There’s probably not a day that goes by where you don’t use or encounter a limit switch at home, or at your workplace. There are 4 general types of limit switches: whisker, roller, lever, and plunger. Depending on the application, a limit switch may be a combination of 2 of the general types such as roller-lever. When you open the fridge door, a light comes on inside? How does that happen? Yes….you guessed it! A limit switch is used to detect if the fridge door is open or closed. Let’s look at another application of a limit switch that you may encounter at home. On many overhead garage doors, there is a limit switch that stops the movement of the door when it reaches its fully opened position. Alright….now that we’ve looked at a couple of limit switch applications where you might see them in action at home, let’s have a closer look at the device itself. A limit switch is an electromechanical device consisting of an actuator mechanically linked to an electrical switch. When an object contacts the actuator, the switch will operate causing an electrical connection to make or break. Limit switches are available in several switch configurations: Normally Open, Normally Closed, or one of each. Depending on the origin of the electrical schematic, you may see limit switches drawn in different ways. The International Electrotechnical Commission or IEC and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association or NEMA have slightly different symbols. Let us have a look inside a microswitch that is a type of limit switch. A micro switch has 2 limit switches operating together and sharing a common terminal. One limit switch is normally open and the other is normally closed. To be technically correct, the switch configuration is Single Pole Double Throw, or commonly referred to as SPDT. The dashed line indicates that both switches are mechanically connected and will operate at the same time. All right, let us connect the micro-switch to a lamp circuit. In the inactive state, the Red lamp is on as the device is not being operated by an object pushing on the trigger. When the Trigger is pushed the device will activate, and the Green lamp will come on. Now that you've seen the limit switch in action you are probably thinking about some of the applications where you have seen them in action. For example, you might see a limit switch operated by a container on an assembly line, or operated by a rotating machine part or by any number of other moving mechanical objects. A limit switch could be used to count passing objects, or determining the position of a hydraulic cylinder. Limit switches are slowly starting to disappear from many industrial applications. They are being replaced by proximity sensors. Unlike a limit switch, a proximity sensor has no mechanical moving parts. A proximity sensor performs the switching action with "electronic" switches. Limit switches will not completely disappear any time soon as they outshine their proximity switch counterpart in their ruggedness and reliable operation in difficult environments. Generally speaking, limit switches are capable of handling much higher current values than proximity sensors.

Electric Motors for Agricultural and Biosystems Systems ELETRIC MOTOR AND THE PRINCIPLE APPLIED IN ITS OPERATION An electric motor is an electric machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Mechanical energy is used to rotate pump impeller, fan, blowers, drive compressors and lift materials. It is used extensively in such diverse systems as household appliances, automobiles, computers, printers, and automatic cameras. Electric motors involve rotating coils of wire which are driven by the magnetic force exerted by a magnetic field on an electric current. HOW DOES AN ELECTRIC MOTOR WORKS? CLASSIFICATIONS OF ELECTRIC MOTORS AND ITS FRAMEWORK **According to type of source:** **DC MOTOR** A DC motor is a mechanically commutated electric motor powered from direct current (DC). The stator is stationary in space by definition and therefore its current. The current in the rotor is switched by the commutator to also be stationary in space. This is how the relative angle between the stator and rotor magnetic flux is maintained near 90 degrees, which generates the maximum torque. **Two types of DC Motor:** Ø  **Brushless DC electric motor (BLDC motors, BL motors)** also known as electronically commutated motors (ECMs, ECmotors) are synchronous motors that are powered by a DC electric source via an integrated inverter/switching power supply, which produces an AC electric signal to drive the motor (AC, alternating current, does not imply a sinusoidal wave form but rather a bi-directional current with no restriction on waveform); additional sensors and electronics control the inverter output amplitude and wave form (and therefore percent of DC bus usage/efficiency) and frequency (i.e. rotor speed). **Ø  Brushed DC motor** is an internally commutated electric motor designed to be run from a direct current power source. Brushed motors were the first commercially important application of electric power to driving mechanical loads, and DC distribution systems were used for more than 100 years to operate motors in commercial and industrial buildings. Brushed DC motors can be varied in speed by changing the operating voltage or the strength of the magnetic field. **AC MOTOR** An AC motor is an electric motor driven by an alternating current (AC). It commonly consists of two basic parts, an outside stationary stator having coils supplied with alternating current to produce a rotating magnetic field, and an inside rotor attached to the output shaft that is given a torque by the rotating field. **Two types of AC motor:** **Ø  Induction Motor or Asynchronous Motor.** The magnetic field on the rotor of this motor is created by an induced current. **Ø  SynchronousMotor**, which does not rely on induction and as a result, can rotate exactly at the supply frequency or a sub-multiple of the supply frequency. The magnetic field on the rotor is either generated by current delivered through slip rings or by a permanent magnet. The induction motor is running slightly slower than the synchronous motor because its speed is reduced by the slip. Therefore, it is also called asynchronous motor. **UNIVERSAL MOTOR** Universal motors are small series motors up to 3.73 kW rating which are commonly designed to operate on either direct current or alternating current. According to intended use or special characteristics: **Ø   Gear motor** – is a motor that has a gear train built into the motor housing to reduce the output shaft speed and increase the shaft torque. **Ø  Synchronous motor** – type of motor in which shaft rotation is in exact synchronization with the frequency of the power source. These motors are either single phase or polyphase (usually three phase)ac motors. **Ø   Multispeed motors** – are motors with two or more fixed speeds. Its operation is often obtained by having either a tapped motor winding or a separate motor winding for each speed. **Ø   Variable Speed motors** – motors whose speed is continuously variable and is typically controlled by varying the voltage and/or frequency of the power source. **Ø  Torque motors**– motors designed to provide maximum or near maximum torque when the motor is stalled and still be able to operate for an extended period of time without overheating. According to power rating: **Ø   Sub-fractional horsepower** –motor ratedlessthan1/20hpor usually expressed in mill horsepower . **Ø   Fractional horsepower** –motor rated from 1/20 hp to 1 hp. **Ø   Integral horsepower** –any motor rated above 1 hp. **TYPES, CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICATIONS OF SINGLE-PHASE AND THREE-PHASE AC AND DC ELECTRIC MOTOR**

Electrical Wiring Practices THE BASIC METHODS TO BE LEARNED ON HOW TO INSTALL WIRING (WIRING INSTALLATION) **Joining Box** In  this  installation  method,  connections  to  any appliances  are  prepared  through  joints.  The  joints  are made from joint boxes using appropriate connectors and joints cutouts. This method of wiring doesn’t consume cable sizes.   Electrical   experts   have   to  take  note   that  this installation might be expensive in a few cases. Structure for this    system    will    be    made    easier    using builder trends software. It’s  a trend that  must  be  considered  by electrical contractors. **Looping System** This wiring installation method is universally used in any electrical method. Other appliances and lamps are connected in a parallel position so that every appliance can be separately controlled. When the connection is required, the feed conductors are being lopped in by getting it directly to the terminal and then fetching it forward again to the next points. The light and switch feeds are carried around the circuit by a series of loops. It will be carried around from one point to another until the last on the circuit is reached. The line or phase conductors are lopped either in a box or switchboard. 4 BASIC ELECTRICAL WIRING TECHNIQUES **CASING AND CAPPING WIRING** In  this  wiring  type,  the  cable  will  run through a wood casing with parallel grooves appearing at regular intervals. The case is expected to be fixed to either walls or ceilings using screws. It will then be fully covered with a cap to protect the wires. This system is considered to be considerably expensive, yet there is a huge possibility of short circuit risks resulting in some fire hazards. Electrical contractors need to trace possible hazards earlier. The best way to handle bombarding issues is through the application of construction scheduling software. **Listed  below  are  the  materials  used  for  casing wiring:** ·  PVC or VIR insulated wires ·  Capping (wood or plastic made) ·  Capping or casing joints ·  Casing enclosure (wood or plastic made) **Advantages of this type of wiring scheme are:** ·  Strong and durable wiring ·  Inexpensive and easy to install ·  Any wiring customization can be done ·  Safe from dust, rain, smoke and steam **CLEAT WIRING**  Here, cables that are PVC insulated are being used. The cables will be fasted directly to the walls using wood, porcelain or plastic cheats. Everything will be installed at different intervals, usually 6km. apart. This wiring is affordable but usually good enough for temporary applications. It isn’t even suitable for residential electrical wiring. **Listed below are some of the common materials used in cleat wiring:** ·  Weatherproof cables ·  Lots of screws ·  PVC or VIR insulated wires ·  Plastic cleats or porcelain cleats (2-3 grooves) **This type of wiring has some advantages:** ·  East for detecting faults ·  Easy to repair ·  Addition and alteration is easy · Easy and Cheapwiring **BATTEN WIRING** One  of  the  most  important  wiring  methods applied  today  is  the  batten  wiring.  In  this  wiring, insulated wires will run through the wooden battens. The battens are fixed on walls and ceilings using either screws or plugs. The cables are fitted directly onto the battens. Link clips are used as well and it will be fastened with rust-resistant nails.  **Basic  materials  used  for  batten  wiring  are  the following:** ·  TRS or CTS cables ·  Tinned brass buckle clip (link clip) ·  Brass pins **Advantages of this type of wiring scheme are listed below:** ·  Installations are way easier ·  Appearance is much better ·  Cheaper material costs ·  Easy and flexible customization ·  Lesser chances of leakage current **CONDUIT WIRING** PVC cables are often used in conduit wiring. If the pipes are running through the ceilings and wall surface, surface conduit wiring is the best term. On the other hand, if pipes run inside the wall surface and it will be covered with plastering, it is termed as concealed conduit wiring. Surface wiring is used mainly for industrial applications in order to interlink heavy motors. Lastly, concealed wiring is utilized for residential purposes. **Materials used for conduit wiring:** ·  Metallic conduit (class A and B) ·  Non-metallic conduit ·  PVC or VIR insulated cables ·  Coupling ·  Screws ·  Rigid offset FEATURES OF AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT **THE ENERGY SOURCE** In an electrical circuit, the power source provides the voltage (the force that pushes electrons through a conductor -- measured in volts) and current (the rate of flow of electrons -- measured in amperes) to energize a device attached to the circuit. A voltage power source provides a constant voltage level to the circuit. Examples of voltage power sources are batteries, like the ones in your laptop computer or car, the energy from the solar panels on your roof, your car's alternator, or the energy coming from your local power plant or hydroelectric dam. On the other hand, a current power source which is measured in amps, provides a constant current of energy regardless of its voltage. Typically, constant-current circuits are included in a system to protect the device providing the electrical load on the circuit. For example, an LED requires a constant level of current to protect it from burning out or being damaged. **THE CONDUCTOR** In a typical electrically powered environment that uses common electrical devices, the conductor is the wiring in a home or device that provides the path of the circuit, on which the energy flows. The conductor (conduction) system interconnects all of the other parts of the circuit. Electrical power flows somewhat like water through a pipe or hose. The conductor provides the piping through which the electrical energy flows from its source to its load and back again sometimes .And like water through a hose. **THE SWITCH** The switch provides the control that closes (continues) or opens (breaks) the electrical energy flow on the circuit. A variety of circuit switches exist, including wall switches, push buttons, key toggles, and many biometric devices. A closed circuit switch can have either a sustained contact or a transient contact. A sustained contact, such as a light switch, maintains the circuit in a state that allows for a constant flow of energy. A transient, or momentary, contact only provides an energy flow to the circuit while a button or similar device is being pushed or engaged. When the button is released, the circuit is once again open. **THE LOAD** Any device attached to an electrical circuit that is activated or energized by the flow of electricity to it, provides the electrical load on the circuit. The load is the amount of electrical energy the device uses to complete its task. This electrical consumption is measured in watts, which equals the current (amps) multiplied by the volts on the circuit. Lights, TVs, motors, heaters and appliances are load devices that consume power. **SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM** A schematic is defined as a picture that shows something in a simple way, using symbols. A schematic diagram is a picture that represents the components of a process, device, or other object using abstract, often standardized symbols and lines. Schematic diagrams only depict the significant components of a system, though some details in the diagram may also be exaggerated or introduced to facilitate the understanding of the system. Schematic diagrams do not include details that are not necessary for comprehending the information that the diagram was intended to convey. For example, in a schematic diagram depicting an  electrical  circuit,  you  can  see  how  the  wires  and  components  are  connected  together,  but  not photographs of the circuit itself. For example, if you are taking the subway you may see a “map” showing you all the  stations  along a subway  line,  but that map will not show all the roads and buildings you may pass along the way. In this case, the entire subway system can be represented as differently colored lines depicting the different subway routes, with dots indicating the stops along the lines. WIRING DIAGRAM A wiring diagram is a simplified conventional pictorial representation of an electrical circuit. It shows the components of the circuit as simplified shapes, and the power and signal connections between the devices. A wiring diagram usually gives information about the relative position and arrangement of devices and terminals on the devices, to help in building or servicing the device. This is unlike a schematic diagram, where the arrangement of the components' interconnections on the diagram usually does not correspond to the components' physical locations in the finished device. A pictorial diagram would show more detail of the physical appearance, whereas a wiring diagram uses a more symbolic notation to emphasize interconnections over physical appearance. A wiring diagram is often used to troubleshoot problems and to make sure that all the connections have been made and that everything is present. **20 EXAMPLES OF ELECTRICAL MATERIALS** **1.       ELECTRICAL CONDUITS FITTINGS** Electrical conduits are metal, plastic or fiber pipes designed to protect electrical cables and wires. They’re used in just about every residential and commercial establishment, especially for wiring that is either exposed, or fitted outdoors. Since they are essentially a safety feature, you should select the material, size and fittings based on the environment of the installation and the type of wiring it’ll be housing. **2.       EXPLOSION PROOF ENCLOSURE** Explosion Proof is a product design to contain an electrical short so that it doesn’t ignite a hazardous atmosphere causing an explosion. Refineries, gas stations, paint booths are examples of where these products would be used. They are heavy duty steel or aluminum by design, or can be fiberglass as well. **3.       CIRCUIT BREAKERS** Circuit Breakers are devices that automatically interrupt the follow of an electric current to protect against a short or overload. Electrical grounding is a backup pathway that is generally only used if there is a fault in the wiring system. One of the most important reasons for grounding electrical currents is that it protects your appliances, your home and everyone in it from surges in electricity. If lightning was to strike or the power was to surge at your place for whatever reason, this produces dangerously high voltages of electricity in your system.   REASONS FOR GROUNDING **Protection against electrical overload** One of the most important reasons for grounding electrical currents is that it protects your appliances, your home and everyone in it from surges in electricity. If lightning was to strike or the power was to surge at your place for whatever reason, this produces dangerously high voltages of electricity in your system. If your electrical system is grounded, all of that excess electricity will go into the earth — rather than frying everything connected to your system. **Helps direct electricity** Having your electrical system grounded means you will be making it easy for power to be directed straight to wherever you need it, allowing electrical currents to safely and efficiently travel throughout your electrical system. **Stabilizes voltage levels** A grounded electrical system also makes it easier for the right amount of power to be distributed to all the right places, which can play a huge role in helping to ensure circuits aren’t overloaded and blown. The earth provides a common reference point for the many voltage sources in an electrical system. **Earth is the best conductor** One of the reasons why grounding helps to keep you safe is because the earth is such a great conductor, and because excess electricity will always take the path of least resistance. By grounding your electrical system, you are giving it somewhere to go other than into you– possibly saving your life. **Prevents damage, injury and death** Without a properly grounded electrical system, you are risking any appliances you have connected to your system being fried beyond repair. In the worst-case scenario, an overload of power can even cause a fire to start, risking not just extensive property and data loss but physical injury as well.

Advance Electrical Controls for Smart Agriculture **SMART FARMING** Smart Farming is defined as a farming management concept using modern technology to increase the quantity and quality of agricultural products. Farmers in the 21st century have access to the Global Positioning System (GPS), soil scanning, data management, and IoT (“Internet of Things”) technologies. Smart Farming is an emerging concept that refers to managing farms using modern Information and Communication Technologies to increase the quantity and quality of products while optimizing the human labor required. Among the technologies available for present-day farmers are:         Sensors: soil, water, light, humidity, temperature management         Software:  specialized software solutions that target specific farm types or use case agnostic IoT platforms         Connectivity: cellular, LoRa, etc.         Location: GPS, Satellite, etc.         Robotics: Autonomous tractors, processing facilities, etc.         Data analytics: standalone analytics solutions, data pipelines for downstream solutions, etc. **AGRICULTURE 4.0**           Agriculture 4.0 is a term for the next big trends facing the industry, including a greater focus on precision agriculture, the internet of things (IoT) and the use of big data to drive greater business efficiencies in the face of rising populations and climate change. In 2018, the World Government Summit published their report called **AGRICULTURE 4.0 – THE FUTURE OF FARMING TECHNOLOGY**, in collaboration with Oliver Wyman. The report addresses the four main developments placing pressure on agriculture in the near future: Demographics, Scarcity of natural resources, Climate change, and Food waste.   **AGRICULTURE 5.0** Agriculture 5.0 (Ag 5.0) is the next revolution in agriculture. Under Ag 5.0, precision agriculture technologies are harnessed to simultaneously boost production and enhance environmental sustainability.   **Goal of Agriculture 5.0 from Elora Research Station:** *“The goal is to help create food systems that are carbon neutral, resilient to extreme weather, and capable of distributing culturally appropriate nutrition in a profitable way while respecting the environment.”* **WHAT 21ST CENTURY SKILLS DO YOU POSSESS  THAT YOU CAN APPLY IN ELECTRIFICATION?** **21st Century Skills –** These refer to the skills that are not directly related to the sector, but are seen as vital for any prospective worker to thrive in the 21st Century. Usually these “soft skills” do not necessarily involve manual labor or physical activity. 21st Century Skills are a major feature of TESDA’s 2018- 2022 National Technical Education and Skills Development Plan (NTESDP), integrated in the agency is training programs and other initiatives. Such Skills include:               **Entrepreneurial Skills**, as with the amount of autonomy small-scale farmers are afforded because of smart farming, it should be no surprise if they wanted to promote and sell their produce on their own. Such activities are made even easier with digital technology thanks to smart apps and social media. By using these technologies, farmers can gain a better understanding on market trends, allowing them to forge business opportunities on their own.            **Marketing Skills**, since entrepreneurship and marketing tend to go hand in hand, but the latter is particularly seen as one of the areas where the tech-savvy youth can play a part in. The Philippines’ Digital Farming Program imparts video editing, photography, and other similar skills to rural farmers for this very reason.   **Communication Skills**, seeing as smart farming has the potential to bridge farmers and agriculture experts together, it is vital for both parties to understand each other clearly so that they could address any issue that may arise in the farmlands. Writing and numeracy are key topics in this regard, but interpersonal communication also goes a long way in improving farmer relationships.            **Critical Thinking and Problem Solving**, given that farmers will likely face complex situations that require them to formulate effective solutions, especially when there is no outside help available. **WHAT TRAINING REGULATIONS (TR) ARE USEFUL AND ALIGNED IN ABE ELECTRIFICATION?** Section 19 of Republic Act No. 10601, also known as the Agricultural and Fisheries Mechanization Law, obliges other government agencies like TESDA to assist in all efforts to mechanize Philippine Agriculture. The agency performs this function by implementing and regulating various training regulations (TRs) that produce a highly skilled, internationally recognized workforce for industries. Through these TRs, TESDA annually produces certified workers for the country’s various industries, which include the agriculture and fisheries sector. As of February 2020, TESDA offers the following TRs are directly related to this sector:      Agricultural Crops Production NC I      Agricultural Crops Production NC II      Agricultural Crops Production NC III      Agricultural Machinery Operations NC II      Agricultural Machinery Servicing (4-Wheel Tractor) NC III      Agroentrepreneurship NC II      Agroentrepreneurship NC III      Agroentrepreneurship NC IV      Animal Health Care and Management NC III      Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II      Animal Production (Swine) NC II      Animal Production (Ruminants) NC II      Artificial Insemination (Large Ruminants) NC II      Artificial Insemination (Swine) NC II      Aquaculture NC II      Bamboo Production NC II      Bamboo Processing (Engineered-Bamboo) NC II      Drying and Milling Plant Servicing NC III      Grains Production NC II      Fish Capture NC I      Fish Capture NC II      Fishport/Wharf Operation NC I      Fishing Gear Repair and Maintenance NC III      Horticulture NC III      Landscape Installation and Maintenance (Softscape) NC II      Organic Agriculture Production NC II      Milking Operation NC II      Pest Management (Vegetables) NC II      Pressurized Irrigation System Installation and Maintenance NC II      Rice Machinery Operations NC II      Sugarcane Production NC II      Seaweeds Production NC II      Rubber Processing NC II      Rubber Production NC II   In addition to these, a TR for Solar Powered Irrigation System (SPIS) Operation and Maintenance NC II was also developed during the first quarter of 2020. Of these TRs, only a handful such as Agricultural Machinery Operations NC II, Rice Machinery Operations NC II, Drying and Milling NC III, and Milking Operation NC II are directly related to mechanization, which is a prerequisite for smart farming technologies. Despite this, the agriculture and fisheries sector consistently see a high student enrolment rate every year. **ELECTRICAL CONTROLS** Electrical controls have made a tremendous contribution towards mechanizing and automating many agricultural and food processing operations. In many cases better accuracy and reliability are obtained by the use of electrical controls compared to manual operation. Because of their ability to safely and accurately control equipment, use of electrical controls is continually increasing. Electrical controls are particularly well suited to work with computer-controlled systems. **ELECTRONIC SYSTEM** An Electronic System is a physical interconnection of components, or parts, that gathers various amounts of information together. It does this with the aid of input devices such as sensors, that respond in some way to this information and then uses electrical energy in the form of an output action to control a physical process or perform some type of mathematical operation on the signal. Equipped with such tools, farmers can monitor field conditions without even going to the field and make strategic decisions for the whole farm or for a single plant. The driving force of smart farming is the “Internet of things” (IoT) - connecting smart machines and sensors integrated on farms to make farming processes data-driven and data-enabled. IoT Solutions to Agricultural Problems Many believe that IoT can add value to all areas of farming, from growing crops to forestry. Two major areas of agriculture that IoT can revolutionize include:   Precision Farming Precision farming, or precision agriculture, is an umbrella concept for IoT-based approaches that make farming more controlled and accurate. In simple words, plants and cattle get precisely the treatment they need, determined by machines with superhuman accuracy. The biggest difference from the classical approach is that precision farming allows decisions to be made per square meter or even per plant/animal rather than for a field. By precisely measuring variations within a field, farmers can boost the effectiveness of pesticides and fertilizers, or use them selectively. Precision Livestock Farming As in the case of precision agriculture, smart farming techniques enable farmers better to monitor the needs of individual animals and to adjust their nutrition accordingly, thereby preventing disease and enhancing herd health. Large farm owners can use wireless IoT applications to monitor the location, wellbeing, and health of their cattle. With this information, they can identify sick animals, so that they can be separated from the herd to prevent the spread of disease. Automation in Smart Greenhouses Traditional greenhouses control the environmental parameters through manual intervention or a proportiona l control mechanism, which often results in production loss, energy loss, and increased labor cost. IoT-driven smart greenhouses can intelligently monitor as well as control the climate, eliminating the need for manual intervention. Various sensors are deployed to measure the environmental parameters according to the specific requirements of the crop. That data is stored in a cloud-based platform for further processing and control with minimal manual intervention.   AGRICULTURAL DRONES Agriculture is one of the major verticals to incorporate both ground-based and aerial drones for crop health assessment, irrigation, crop monitoring, crop spraying, planting, soil and field analysis and other spheres. Since drones collect multispectral, thermal and visual imagery while flying, the data they gather provide farmers with insights into a whole array of metrics: plant health indices, plant counting and yield prediction, plant height measurement, canopy cover mapping, field water pond mapping, scouting reports, stockpile measuring, chlorophyll measurement, nitrogen content in wheat, drainage mapping, weed pressure mapping, and so on. Importantly, IoT-based smart farming doesn’t only target large-scale farming operations; it can add value to emerging trends in agriculture like organic farming, family farming, including breeding particular cattle and/or growing specific cultures, preservation of particular or high-quality varieties etc., and enhance highly transparent farming to consumers, society and market consciousness. These efforts would prove useful for smaller farms, as technology could therefore be used to make them even more self-sufficient and competitive in the market, while employing less labor themselves.

Historical Antecedents of Science and Technology **Pre-History** **Ancient Times** **Middle Ages** **17th Century** **18th Century** **19th Century** **20th Century** **21st Century** **WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO STUDY THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY?** Technology, knowledge and science are fundamental in modern contemporary society. The understanding of how social, cultural and material elements influence the production of new practices, new ways of understanding and new institutions is vital in our understanding of contemporary postmodern society. Studies of technology and science provides students with insight into how different processes of knowledge are initiated and progressed, and how innovative technological processes are developed, employed and increase in importance. Studies of technology and science gives insight into the understanding and knowledge of technology, science and knowledge from the viewpoint of the humanities and the social sciences. Throughout the course of study students will become familiar with amendments of social and cultural analyses of modern science and technology in interaction with social, political, economic and cultural processes of change. In this manner, students will be provided with the academic basis for working with detailed analyses of different forms of technologies and processes of knowledge, within business life/industry and commerce, research and research-related work, political development, management of knowledge and innovation. **WHAT IS THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TO THE SOCIETY?** Science and technology have had a major impact on society, and their impact is growing. By drastically changing our means of communication, the way we work, our housing, clothes, and food, our methods of transportation, and, indeed, even the length and quality of life itself, science has generated changes in the moral values and basic philosophies of mankind. **WHAT PUSHES PEOPLE TO INVENT DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGIES?** According to the well-known saying, "necessity is the mother of invention"; in other words, people invent things because society has difficult problems that need solving. We are now living in a modern world, thanks to the inventors who made this possible. We live differently among others. We have our own necessities which sometimes triggers us to create something new that will help us in our daily living. **I will share to you something that I "MIGHT" invent in the future. Hahahaha (Char) Well, there's no harm in trying and dreaming.** I will invent a new version of a typical contact lens. We know that Like eyeglasses, contact lenses help to correct refractive errors and perform this function by adding or subtracting focusing power to the eye's cornea and lens. However, my new invention has some added features such as the photographic/pictographic memory. It allows the system to store data that have photograph by the lenses, like what’s our mind when we talk about photographic memory. This will help those who have a difficulty remembering things. This may be a cheat especially for students, but why not try it in the future? This is my SIMPLE DRAWING about the contact lens I will invent soon HAHAHA (Don't bash me, I'm not good at arts -_-) Just like what I said, it is similar to the typical contact lenses, but also similar to some people who have special ability to photograph information just by their naked eyes. However, this is different because we use now technology in order to achieve this kind of system. I don’t know if there is a possible way for people to have a pictographic memory using some operations or treatments. I think there is a high need for this invention and YES! This will make the world a better place to live in. We may think that some people may took advantage of this invention, like they can use this in a bad way. But come to think of it, if everyone has the ability to remember things, then the probability of improving our world will increase as the contributors will also increase. Good Evening! I'm back! <3

Good Morning read.cash! So, yeah, I haven't been updating here 3 days ago. School was so hectic!!! I will try to update later. I have lot of things to share with you <3 Have a nice day! <3

@noisytoothie

Why read.cash? Why BCH? At first, I was hesitant Should I join this platform or not? Okay, let’s give it a try Maybe just for an alibi.   Oh, I found new friends Sharing thoughts and experiences I’m starting to love this Support me, please?   A week has passed. Yes, and I never expected I would be this far. BCH Family didn’t just help me earn, but teach me how to learn camaraderie and humane family. And YES! I’ve already put myself into here. **REASONS WHY BCH IS A WAY OF BUILDING CAMARADERIE AND HUMANE FAMILY** (this is all my experiences in relation with the BCH and readcash blogging platform) 1.       It allows us to express ourselves because we are free to do anything you want. But remember that freedom comes with great responsibility. You can share everything as long as it doesn’t concern or hurt anyone in the family. You can interact by commenting, posting, creating games and such. There’s no limit as long as you don’t violate the rules, and become a spammer. You just need to respect everyone. 2.       There are no qualifications or standards for you to achieve in order to join the BCH Family. ANYONE can join, especially those who are unfortunate. Everyone is welcome and no one will judge you. Even if we came from different countries, different races or different norms, BCH Family will always treat you with equality and equity. 3.       You don’t have to lose any monetary unit because BCH needs your education, experiences, and enthusiasms that will urge and motivate other users too. We also have @MarcDeMesel who is willingly contributing and funds this platform. Thank you Sir! 4.       BCH became the way to solve and ease our problems (by posting and having someone who’s concern about you) which also became a way of uniting people independently and voluntarily, with no pressure and forcing to join. 5.       For a student like me, I was able to earn monetary basis as well as I found a family who will not judge my piece. Honestly, I’m happy to join here in readcash family because of the money I earned. It helped me a lot in my studies especially with my online class as a result of this pandemic. But not just the money, I also found a family who will support you even though we came from different families and cultures and I finally found my passion and on what aspect I’m good at. **REASONS WHY PEOPLE SHOULD** ****STOP**** **DESTROYING BCH FAMILY** You're not just destroying the BCH family, but also the dreams of those people like us who finally found a way to make our dreams come true. Members of BCH Family includes different sector like students, mothers, fathers, investors, worker, and those unemployed individual. They are all depending on the little amount BCH puts in their wallets. And for students like me, I used my earned money in loading my simcard that will be used during researches and online classes. It's a small way but it means a lot to us. BCH family will always accept us, though we have different culture and languages. You will be treated equally. We all have different experiences in this platform. Feel free to share it with us! Happy Tuesday. Keepsafe everyone!

Hindi tayo nabibigyan ng karapatan upang ating masabi an gating saloobin or opinyon.

My Music Journey For the past 13 years, I’ve become a church servant in our barangay. My family is musically inclined, so maybe that’s answers it all. It started when I was in my 2nd grade in Elementary. At first, I really don’t actually take it seriously. But as I grew up, I started to open my heart and decided to accept my mission to be a forever servant of God. I used my talent to share His wisdom and words.  It was May 2, 2015 when I started playing guitar as accompaniment during holy masses. I was so nervous back then, but with the grace of our Lord, I survived that day, until I became the official instrumentalist. I was so happy.  In 2015, my mother enrolled me to a piano lesson in a Catholic school. I finished my 1-year lesson and even held a recital on March 17 2016. December 26, 2017. This is in Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. I’m still not confident with my skills in keyboard so I still use my guitar here. December 30, 2017. I started to try playing keyboard during a mass wedding in our chapel. I was anxious that time that’s why Ate D-Yan, (the one beside me in the picture), accompanied me with her guitar. January 4, 2018. A fellow choir member started to taught me how to play the songs during holy mass. We have a lesson once a week. I can say, he really helped me a lot. But, sad to say, we became strangers for some reasons. January 20, 2019. The day I conquer my fear and took the courage to play the keyboard for the first time in front of the crowd. I’m anxious back then. Eventually, I got used to it and even try to improve myself. I was quite unhappy when the Covid-19 spread all over the world which made all the mass gatherings be prohibited. There is no face to face holy masses for almost 3 months. But thanks God, we are back in service. Until now, I’m serving holy masses every Sunday. I promise to be the servant of God until my last breath.   Good Evening! What I've shared to you was some of my memorable moments in music industry. I was quite proud of my achievements. I'm still looking forward for more experiences in the future. Happy Sunday! Keepsafe.

Miracles do Happen! A group of soldiers are mocking their buddy for believing God. They always notice that he prays before eating, before going to training, or even before going to bed. They said that he is a fool for believing God. One day, their head officer asked that soldier. "Why do you believe in your God when He doesn't even help you? If He is real, then why are you here? You should have been in a comfortable life, not sacrificing your life for our nation.", then laughed. The soldier didn't answer. "Is there really a God? Idiot. Just go and park that car" said the officer then gave him the key. "But Sir, I don't know how to drive", said the soldier "Then ask your God to help you". Then they all laughed. Before starting the engine, he prayed first. Then, after several minutes, he successfully parked the car. To his confusion, after he had parked the car, he saw the officer together with her co-soldiers. "PRAISE YOUR GOD!". They all said. "Why did you suddenly changed your mind?" he asked in confusion. "Look. This car has no engine. It is impossible for it to work. But I saw you prayed to your God, and this miracle happen." answer the officer. "PRAISE GOD!" They all said in a joyful voices. Miracles do happen! :) Even in a simple way, we might not notice, but there is always a miracle that we need to be thankful for. I hope this will impart something in your heart like it did to me. Blessed Afternoon!

Lola Mama I still remember back then You were waiting for me in the terrace Holding a paper and pen It's another game, I guess "Answer this, I'll give you a penny" Words that triggers my young mind "You can do this, my baby" Ooh, words of you, that was so kind I hope you were still here Watching me, as I keep growing Encouraging me as I conquer my fear Be with me in every battle I'm fighting I was 21 years old today Yet, your memories will never fade away I will always be your favorite granddaughter And you'll be my greatest Lola Mama forever

Agriculture Let's start giving value to agriculture By doing this, we can preserve our nature Agriculture itself is a huge thing We can never imagine what it can bring This is the key to our success This way, we can never be oppressed In agriculture, there is something we can gain Not just food but also our whole life it sustain Let us not forget what agriculture gives us From every single grain, it contains our pulse Nothing can beat what it brings us I guess a poem is too short for it to be discussed.

HODL: Crypto Likely Tops Around 7T In Only 3 Months **What is cryptocurrency or crypto?** "Crypto is a digital currency that can be used to buy goods and services, but uses an online ledger with strong cryptography to secure online transactions. Much of the interest in these unregulated currencies is to trade for profit, with speculators at times driving prices skyward." "Cryptocurrencies work using a technology called blockchain. Blockchain is a decentralized technology spread across many computers that manages and records transactions. Part of the appeal of this technology is its security." **Why are cryptocurrencies so popular?** Cryptocurrencies appeal to their supporters for a variety of reasons. Here are some of the most popular: Supporters see cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin as the currency of the future and are racing to buy them now, presumably before they become more valuable. Some supporters like the fact that cryptocurrency removes central banks from managing the money supply, since over time these banks tend to reduce the value of money via inflation. Other supporters like the technology behind cryptocurrencies, the blockchain, because it’s a decentralized processing and recording system and can be more secure than traditional payment systems. Some speculators like cryptocurrencies because they’re going up in value and have no interest in the currencies’ long-term acceptance as a way to move money. I found out that he is one of the top generous person who gives donation in this platform. As an amateur in the world of crypto, I manage to get some info and be familiar with this type of digital currency. I've read several articles, watched documentaries or interviews just for me to know this better. As a matter of fact, I just recently watched the video of Mr. @MarcDeMesel in his youtube channel. It was about crypto aiming to be the top, with around 7T, in just 3 months. It was a 19-minute video. In crypto, I'm quite familiar only with BitcoinCash as it is what read.cash and noise.cash is using but not with some cryptos. HODL: Crypto Likely Tops Around 7T In Only 3 Months by @MarcDeMesel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZFnUWms8xE This video was uploaded 20 hours ago in his youtube channel. These are his caption in his video. "With Trololo Trendline / Fair Value #Crypto Market Cap currently at 600B, and actual price at 2.2T, we are around 400% vs trendline that stands at 100%. Top likely around 800% / 7T but locking in profits starting at 600% / 5T likely the right move." https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/crypto "Since parabolic growth curve so typical to asset bubbles means doubling takes less and less time, we likely go from 2T to 4T in not 3 months but maybe 2 months and do the last doubling in just 1 month, giving us the top already in just 3 months from here. " "#Bitcoin BCH still has lots of catching up to do to reach it's Trololo Trendline / Fair Value that still stands 10x higher around 120B / 5k BCH, and would go to 1T or 50k per BCH if it goes also 800% vs it's trendline, not a probable scenario but certainly a possible scenario given the law of reversion to the mean, the higher it undershoots the mean, the higher it will overshoot too. I can only warn not to lock in profits too soon. Market already excited and we are not even at $1000, most will cash out strong before $10k, likely to see it go up to $30k but sell little there due to selling too much too soon and greed and FOMO overtaking them. " https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/bitcoin "My portfolio now 70% exposed to crypto, will likely go over 95% exposure before we reach red trigger zone at 600% vs trendline / 5T CMC / 15k $BCH / 5k $ETH, where I plan to start sell strong. while most are frozen by Greed & FOMO. Until then, hodling like a MOFO." - @MarcDeMesel For more information, you can visit the following links: Youtube: HODL: Crypto Likely Tops Around 7T In Only 3 Months https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZFnUWms8xE read.cash: @MarcDeMesel https://read.cash/@MarcDeMesel

Close your Eyes After some long-wide years, a retired teacher met his student along the way. His student greeted him and they chatted for some minutes. “Sir, do you remember me?”, asked the student. “Yes, I do remember you.” said the teacher. “I also became a professional. I am now a teacher like you. And you know what Sir? You are my inspiration and that’s the reason why I also choose to be a teacher like you.” said the student “How did I inspire you?” confused ask by the teacher “Don’t you remember Sir? When I was in grade 1, I was so envy of my classmate’s pencil and I stole it from her. Later, when my classmate found out her pencil is missing, she cried and told you the situation. You stand in front of us saying, “Who stole your classmate’s pencil?”. Sir, I was so nervous that time, and didn’t know what to do. Then you said again, “Okay, if no one will tell the truth, I will be the one to find the truth”. Okay, close your eyes. One by one, I will search your pockets and bags.” When you reached my place, you found the pen, but still continue to search my classmates. I was so terrified, and I don’t know what to do anymore. But to my surprise, you didn’t reprimand me. Then from then on, I told myself that I want to be like you. And now, I reached my dreams.” explained the student “But I actually don’t know that it was you who stole the pencil”, said the teacher. “But why?” asked the student. “Because, my eyes were also closed when I searched your pockets. In that way, I can’t know who the thief is, and I can’t make himself be embarrassed.” explain the teacher. **"Open your eyes to see your admirations; close you eyes to avoid the temptations"**

Happy 1st week, Noisytoothie! I joined this platform 7 days ago. I was hesitant if I will pursue this or what. I am not confident enough, I admit. I am not good at writing but I know a part of it. So, I tried it actually. It all begun with a simple introduction about me, then I posted poems I composed, and some random articles or experiences. I am slowly gaining my confidence when I saw that the @TheRandomRewarder is appreciating my works. I also have my Ate here, Ate @bheng620 who supported me eversince my start here. I gather enough courage to write and share some articles to you because of their support. I even set up my goal, - my 1 BCH Goal. As of now, I earned about $10 in a week and I know I still have a long way to go. https://read.cash/@noisytoothie/1-bch-goal-e5abd728 As you can see, every upvote makes my day. From $0.01 upvotes to $0.2 to $1.0+. I didn't expect this to happen because I also know myself and my capacity - but these upvotes changed that perception. I never believe I can be what I am now. Now, I am earning with my own works and talents. It was a big help. Being able to save my earnings here and planning for something big in the future, it takes a lot of courage. This is just the 1s week. I hope I can still pursue this all through the days. I hope I can still think of what I can share to you because sharing makes me happy. Happy 1st week of being a read.cash member and I am looking forward for more weeks and months with you all here! :)

The Holy Seven Sacraments we practiced in our Municipality A sacrament is an outward efficacious sign instituted by Christ to give grace. Jesus Christ himself is the sacrament, as he gave His life to save mankind. His humanity is the outward sign or the instrument of his Divinity. It is through His humanity that the life of the trinity comes to us as grace through the sacraments. Jesus Christ alone mediates the sacraments to allow grace to flow to humanity. The three sacraments of initiation are baptism, confirmation and Eucharist. Each is meant to strengthen your faith and forge a deeper relationship with God. Baptism frees you from original sin, confirmation strengthens your faith and Eucharist allows you to taste the body and blood of eternal life and be reminded of Christ’s love and sacrifice. **A. Baptism** This is the basis of whole Christian Life as all of us born of the water and the Spirit. This is necessary for salvation and conveys a permanent sign that the new Christian is a child of God. **B. Confirmation** This is the sacrament of the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent. The right of confirmation is anointing the forehead with chrism, together with the laying of the Minister’s hand and words “Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit”. Persons whose age are 12 years old and above are the one who can receive confirmation. Before the day of confirmation, they first attend a 3 consecutive days of seminar to enlighten their minds on what they are going to receive. **C. Eucharist** This sacrament means thanksgiving, and the “source and summit of the Christian life”. The essential signs of the sacrament are wheat bread and grape wine, on which the blessing of the Holy Spirit is invoked during the Sacrifice of the mass, and the priest pronounces the words of consecration, spoken by Jesus at the Last Supper: “This is my body… this is the cup of my blood…” The first Eucharist usually starts when the child reaches Grade 3 in his elementary level at the age approximately 9 years old. **D. Confession** This is the sacrament of conversion, forgiveness, penance, or reconciliation. This sacrament involves 3 steps: the penitent’s contrition or sorrow for his sins, the actual confession to a priest and absolution, and them penance or restitution for your sins. The experience leads one to an interior conversion of the heart. Jesus describes the process of conversion and penance in the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24). Confession can be done always. This is with the guidance of a priest inside or outside the church. **E. Anointing of the Sick** This is the sacrament given to the seriously ill Christians and the special graces received unite the sick person to the passion of Christ. **F. Holy Orders** This sacrament began with the Last Supper, when Christ Jesus commissions His apostles to continue the Eucharist celebration. This is the sacrament of Apostolic ministry. As in Pastoral Epistles, the rite consists of the Bishop’s laying on of hands on the head of the priest-candidate with the consecrating prayer asking God for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit for the gifts of the ministry. **G. Marriage** This is the union of a man and a woman. This sacrament gives the couple the grace to grow into a union of heart and soul, to continue life, and to provide stability for themselves and their children. Children are the fruit and bond of marriage. There is a tradition that before getting married, a 2-day seminar is done by the bride and groom. In addition, the night before their wedding, there is what they call “Saminlag” where a party is celebrated and the family of the bride and groom cheers a wine for the best future for their children. **REFERENCE:** Daniels, E. Always be Thankful There was a teenager who believes and worship God with all costs. She preaches the words of God and never been ashamed to do it. One night, she went to her bed early because she went to an orphanage to share the words of God. But, it's not just an ordinary night. This is the night that motivated her to do more preaching and let everyone know how great our God is. She was in a place where she can't see anything. It's all white that even the ground is nowhere to be seen. Then an angel came to her. "Please follow me." the angel said. She followed the angel. Upon entering the huge gate, she saw a large group of angels, they are all busy. "What are they doing? They seems to be very busy?", asked the girl "They are receiving and reading all the petitions and wishes of man. There is really a lot everyday." angel said. While walking, they passed another group of angels, but almost only half the number of the first group. "What about them? they are also so busy? " Asked the girl. "They are responsible for the fulfilling of the petitions and wishes received by the first group. They can be called the wish makers." answered the angel. At their last stop, she saw only one angel sitting and doing nothing. "Why is there only an angel here? And she's not doing anything?" asked the confused girl. "This is the section for THANKSGIVING. It's just so sad that after people asked for their need, and after receiving their wishes, they always forgot to give thanks to our God. That's why, that angel is not doing anything." sad reply of the angel. IT IS A DREAM. She was dreaming. She immediately get off her bed and prepare herself. "I will help them to change, in Jesus name." Let us always be thankful whenever we receive blessing or even if we don't have anything. Be thankful because you woke up today. Be thankful because you it's another day for you to help others Be thankful that your family and friends are safe Just... ALWAYS BE THANKFUL.

Problems in mechanizing Philippine farms and its possible solutions As a student of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering course, we are more focused on the agricultural sectors especially with the uses of machines in farms. One application is the mechanization of farm equipment and machines. Like other applications, mechanization has also its advantages and disadvantages. Today, I will be focusing on the disadvantages or problems we face in farm mechanization. **Mechanized agriculture or farm mechanization** is the process of using agricultural machinery to mechanize the work of agriculture, greatly increasing farm worker productivity. The effective mechanization contributes to increase production in two major ways: firstly the timeliness of operation and secondly the good quality of work. The requirement of power for certain operations like seedbed preparation, cultivation and harvesting becomes so great that the existing human and animal power in the country appears to be inadequate. As a result, the operations are either partially done or sometimes completely neglected, resulting in low yield due to poor growth or untimely harvesting or both. In G. D. Aggarwal’s words, “**Farm mechanization** is a term used in a very broad’ sense. It not only includes the use of machines, whether mobile or immobile, small or large, run by power and used for tillage operations, harvesting and thrashing but also includes power lifts for irrigation, trucks for haulage of farm produce, processing machines, dairy appliances for cream separating, butter making, oil pressing, cotton ginning, rice hulling, and even various electrical home appliances like radios, irons, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and hot plates.” **Here are some of the problems and possible solutions in Farm Mechanization** **Financing as the imported machines are expensive** Planters are complaining that interest rates for financing machine acquisition are high (LBP interest rates are higher than private banks). Mendoza et al. (2004) argued if the interest rates go beyond 6%, the added yield or income is not enjoyed by the farmer as the added income goes mostly for debt servicing. It means the banks enjoy more the return from the efforts and investments made by the planters. (Suggested interest rates – 3 to 5%). Prices of machines are high which made the principal + interest on loans high. Prices of machine are high because they are imported. Immediate Solution: tax-free imported machine. This could be done through Cooperative (Castillo,2015). Block farms, ultimately, should be organized into coops. Planters/farmers are doubly jeopardized due to our inability to manufacture our machines/ high prices, high principal + interest on loan) and imposing tax add to greater burden for the planters. Result: many machines are of museum type (>40 years old) are still being used. This leads to the following : frequent & costly repair which delay field operations; Less-efficient; increasing the energy/money cost of operation; Delayed operations affect the productivity (quantity + quality) of canes produced; Old machines could not be used for deep tillage (vertical tillage/ chiseling) which delayed operations and also affect quality + quality of operations. Moreover, speed of work is slow. **Immediate Solution: upgrading of machines** Machine are assembly of parts consisting of engine (main part and many more >20,000 parts), tires, plus the attachment or implements. We may not be able to manufacture locally the engine within the next 10-20 years. But the tires and attachments/ implements/ plow, chisels, platform base, etc. can be manufactured locally. There is no “rocket science” involved. They can be manufactured locally. Importing them penalizes the users as the price increased excessively. Example: 1,000 kg disc harrow set is priced at P350,000 - The raw metal part at P50/kg is only worth P50,000. The metal value increased 7 times. **Machine types suitability in relation to farm size and farm operation** Also, many imported machineries and their implements are not directly suited in our local farming conditions. Most farms are small, in turn, they need small machines. Farms are on slopes. Big machines are not suited and tires must be adjusted. Farm implements/ attachments must be re-adjusted to suit farm operation as follows: ***For Primary Tillage/ plowing, disc plows/ mold board plows*** are no longer suitable to soil condition. Plow clods must not be inverted. Chiseling the soil (crisscross) to avoid losing soil moisture, disruption of organic matter, soil carbon on the root zone is now the adapted primary tillage technique. Developing hard pan must be broken with extended ratoon to improve water infiltration, aeration. ***Trash farming*** is necessary to re-build soil, increase soil organic carbon, improve water retention and other benefits (Mendoza et al. 2004). This requires trash shredder tractor attachment (but blades get dull easily). In turn, this needs disc harrow blades that can cut the trash. ***Interrow cultivation for Plant crop and ratoon****.* Mechanical planters, fertilizer, composts and other liquid concoctions applicator all in 1 pass. But adjustable to suit planting/ furrow distance. In the Ratoon canes, trash shredders must also be designed. Ridge busting/ cut-away blades (adjustable to suit planting/ furrow distance 1.5 m single row, double rows, triple rows) should be locally prepared to suit the soil conditions and farm operations. There are many details to be considered in the design and manufacture of specific farm implements. **Machine brand/size (Hp) in relation to farm size, affordability, choice/ preference** There are many brand/ manufacturer of machines (Japan, Europe, USA, and recently South Korea and China). China made products 5 years ago are believed to be of low quality. But recent developments show that they are catching up quality-wise or improving quickly. They are cheaper (1/3 to ½ the price) of known time-tested brands (P1.5 Million vs P3.5 Million) Time value of money or interest expense and other equally important factor for the farmer dictates that cheaper brand will be the planter’s choice. - Recommended by the government for financing are the expensive but time-tested brand. Action: need to liberalize the government policy. ***Mills to adjust milling trashy/mechanically harvested canes*** Mechanically harvested canes could have up to 20% trash. If this will translate to 20% yield deduction on the part of the planters, then, no planter will be motivated to harvest their canes mechanically. But what are the effects on the part of the mills when they mill trashy canes. Can they remedy the trashy-canes problems during the milling process? Adjustments may mean added costs on their part. Moreover, in the field, fully mechanized harvesting (using big combine machine) need to adjust or consider the following :1. Smaller farm/lot sizes; 2. Rugged to sloping terrain, 3. Soils becoming slippery when wet or becoming in accessible to the combine and hauling trucks when the soil becomes soft (clayey soils) when it rains heavily (it’s climate change!). ***Labor displacement/ livelihood for displaced workers*** Labor displacement is one major concerns raised against mechanization. Will this be an issue now when pressures to mechanize is due to the declining availability of harvesters or farm workers? In any country where mechanization had been introduced, this issue was raised. But how did they counteract or address it. Initially, there was livelihood or the work activities designed for the displaced farm workers. There should be actual survey listing workers who would be displaced. Mechanical planting Cultivation (in furrow) Weeding Mechanized harvesting only very few, large, farmer is suitable for fully Mechanized harvesting or combine harvesting. Only cane loading is currently being entertained. Grab loader is very expensive (P3.5 M/unit). By the time locally assembled and affordable grab loader are available, the difficulties of harvesting and loading could have intensified. Mechanize cane loading will open more work for female women in cutting canes. Trash farming to be effectively done requires detrashing. This shall replace the other displaced work. Integrating carabao and cattle will open livelihood (dairy-based for women). Diversifying Planting fruit trees, less suitable to sugarcane, will provide more income and livelihood due to processing. Food processing that make use of sugar shall open more jobs/ livelihood for men/ women. Local manufacture of parts for the equipment, tools, machineries, shall generate/ require labor across different stages. **REFERENCE** Mendoza, T. C. (2016). Farm mechanization is the solution. what are the problems? International Journal of Agricultural Technology 12(5):947-954.

Happy 6th Death Anniversary, Tatay. Is it really a happy day? It was a nice day yet a memorable one. The weather didn't join me today. I having mixed emotions as of now. I don't know what to feel - either be sad or be happy. Being left behind was one of the most painful event in our life - leaving without any notice. It's shocking, hard to accept, and there will be a time where we even question God's existence. "Is He real?", "Why did He let this happen?", "What did I do wrong?". Lots of questions but no one can answer. So today is my grandfather's 6th death anniversary. He is my mother's father. It's been 6 years but the wound is still fresh. I still remember before, I am still in elementary, he used to give me 20 pesos as my "baon". That time, 20 pesos is already a huge amount for a student like me. During lunch time, he will wait for me in the terrace and I will have lunch with him. Before I go to school, he will put a towel at my back to avoid getting perspired too much. In the afternoon, he will prepare our meryenda and will have it together. It was his everyday's routine that's why I really cried a lot when I knew he was nearly facing death. So, today I decided to visit him in the cemetery. The weather was so nice which I think made me cry a little more. It feels like he is watching me from heaven and want me to know that he is already fine and that I should be fine and happy too. I can feel him and I badly miss him. He might not be a perfect tatay, but he's the best for me. From our house, it will be a 20-minute drive using a motorcycle. I was accompanied by my partner because my family is busy doing their works. This is the cemetery. I don't know but I feel solemn when I am here. I want to greet every grave I have passed on. Saying "makikidaan lang po" and such. Remember that they might not be your relatives or you might not know them, we shall still give them respect as we walked along their graveyards. The sky shines so bright today. It lessened my pain and made me more relaxed and comfortable. I know Tatay is guiding me all the way. These are my grandparents. My grandmother (Rosario B. Rodulfo) and my grandfather (Alfredo R. Rodulfo) are now in the same graveyard. My grandmother died first because of her illness. I called her "Mama Saring" - my second mama. I am also a spoiled child because of her maybe because I was the youngest granddaughter that time. Mama Saring and Tatay are my best buddies. They may fight sometime but they tried to avoid it. Their house is just closed to ours that's why we can here if they are fighting again HAHAHAHA but I know we are a happy family. :) I offered their graveyard 3 candles and a prayer. I miss them so much but life must go on. I asked for their guidance and I believe they will. I am thankful to the both of them for letting me experience such childhood with them. Their are the pieces who are puzzled in me but I am slowly trying to solve it again. I Love you Mama Saring and Tatay <3 To everyone who's reading this, give your love and attention as long as they're still here. Never miss you chances. You might woke up without them so grab your opportunities. Never let any single second be wasted because of your insecurities, childish acts and angriness. Every second counts. Happy Evening!

If this pandemic continues to occur... Can you still imagine or remember the way we used to live? No threats, no social distancing, no face masks/face shields, enjoying gatherings, comfortable learning methods, etc.? Until now, I'm still dreaming of a brighter future - having the peace and orderliness of this society. Can this pandemic can still be stopped? If not now, then when? Nakakalungkot lang isipin na we didn't expect this to happen, but I know God has reasons for this. Hindi man natin alam but we should trust Him in this. I feel like our life now is a zigzag puzzle. We are being reprimanded, we are being concluded and dictated of what we should do. Even the vaccine now are still not trustworthy even though many frontliners have gotten their vaccines. Because the fact that we don't trust the government anymore makes us more distant on their actions and governance. If this pandemic continues to occur, the life we used to live will not be the same anymore. We will be filled with fear, stress, stigma, minimizing social networks, etc. Population will eventually decrease as the death rate increases every day though biomedical frontliners has made an enormous effort. It is not just the health that will be affected, but also the education of the students. There are disruptions of schools, universities, and other vocational education segments where they have to seek certain optional strategies to cover up their educational goals. Especially, they may face some irreversible gaps in their education. But for now, as we can see, Elementary and Secondary Education are having modular classes while College Education has online class. This is not healthy anymore! Another thing is that, there is no guarantee that the students can learn while they are in home. Honestly, sometimes, we just do and submit our outputs for the sake of completion.             This pandemic has brought lots of positive and negative effects in our daily life basis. We cannot avoid the fact that this pandemic has changed everything. From wearing masks, social distancing, and proper sanitation, we are now being controlled and monitored. There are people losing their jobs and incomes will suffer more. The developing and poor countries may get more loans and grants for their economy to survive. However, if we compared this pandemic to several historical experiences in managing pandemic situations, this pandemic can be used as a development to enjoy much higher take-off with a new set of attitudes in the process of development.

1 BCH Goal Four days ago, I joined this platform read.cash. I do not have a huge expectation upon joining. I just want write again and bring back to life my hobby of doing poems and such. Yes, I have a little expectation - to earn money, for my studies and for my family. I know I'm not the best when it comes in creating contents but that little hope pushed me forward. I told myself, "There are no harms in trying and just do your best because you do not hold your destiny, if it's for me, then it will just come". So yeah. The first thing I did was to read contents and analyze their topics well. Most contents are about BCH which I am not so familiar with. But I also saw some articles regarding their lifestyle, experiences, "mga ganap sa buhay", and it comes with different genres, and style of writing which includes poems, essays, dairies, etc. So I tried also to write my first content. I searched for a community where the contents were poems, and I saw this community SYT:Poems (bd19). But as one of their rules, I first need to write an article about myself in another community named Introduce Yourself (c32c) and that became my first content here. After several hours, I suddenly received an upvote from @TheRandomRewarder . I am so glad after I saw the notification. After a day, I wrote again an article which is entitled “Journey with Bumblebee” which has 3 parts as of now. That first upvote made me confident to write again another content and that goes on until now. https://read.cash/c/syt-poems-bd19 https://read.cash/c/introduce-yourself-c32c https://read.cash/@noisytoothie/journey-with-bumblebee-part-1-21d148da Just today, I received about $3 and I am so overwhelmed. I never imagined myself receiving such upvotes (because as you know, $3 is already a big amount here in PH). This made me decide to have my own goal – **TO ACHIEVE 1 BCH**. I didn’t put a deadline of time frame because I really never know when will I achieve that goal. All I know is that, I can do this and I believe in myself. Actually, I did some calculations. I think if I will receive atleast $2 per day, I can complete my goal in approximately 335 days which is about 11 months. Yeah, it may take long but, nothing is impossible if you just believe in yourself and I that’s what I’m doing right now. I have seen many articles here that also have that 1BCH Goal and they have really achieved it! So, why can't I? <3 Setting your goal is not easy as cooking an egg. It takes procedures, conditions, step-by-steps, determination and patience. That 1 BCH is now my motivation to do more contents and be active in read.cash. I may not be a great content creator but I know there’s still something I can do. I am slowly gaining my confidence and little by little, approaching the real world outside this shell. I want to find what’s my talents are and where I am comfortable with. Time flew so fast and I know na gigising ako 1 day, I already achieved this 1 BCH. I am starting now, so when will you? Start your goal now!

The Health Benefits of Eggs Good morning! :) So yeah, quarantine has really changed me, not just my personal hobbies but also my physical appearance. For almost 13 months of lockdown, I haven't been doing exercises or such, so I think I need to start doing healthy practices again. Part of this is balancing my regular diet. As far as I know, eggs are good for dieting. So I've searched the internet on what are the benefits of eggs in our diet. Ps. This is just pure information and no copyright infringement intended. Source: Australian Eggs (For Farmers), "The Health Benefits of Eggs" Retrieved from https://www.australianeggs.org.au/nutrition/health-benefits#:~:text=Without%20a%20doubt%2C%20there%20are For centuries, eggs have become part of our diet, but we're still discovering how good they can be for human wellbeing. Filled with nutrients - some of them tough to obtain from other food sources - because of their many health advantages, eggs are also said to be the first superfood. Are eggs good for you? There are a number of advantages to eating eggs every day, without a doubt. Eggs not only have high-quality protein, they also contain 11 vitamins and minerals, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. And this ensures that they will make a valuable contribution to the needs for everyday nutrients. Most of the protein in an egg can be found in the egg white, while the yolk contains healthy fats, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Below, we’ve listed some of the proven health benefits of eating eggs. ***Eggs are nutrient rich*** Let’s start with the fact that eggs are high in a range of vitamins and minerals. Just one boiled egg contains: 40% of your daily vitamin D requirements 25% of your daily folate requirements 12% of your daily riboflavin (Vitamin B2) requirements 20% of your daily selenium requirements Eggs also contain vitamins A, E, B5, B12, as well as iron, iodine and phosphorus.  ***Eggs are high in quality protein*** Proteins are the building blocks of life and a single egg contains about 6.3 grams of high-quality protein. The main functions of proteins in the body are to build, strengthen and repair or replace things, such as tissue. Eggs provide us with very high-quality protein that contains all nine essential amino acids in the right amounts needed by the body for optimum growth and maintenance. Some other foods contain proportionately more protein than eggs but it’s the quality of the protein in eggs that really stands out. ***Eggs raise levels of "Good" cholesterol*** Eggs help increase levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or “good” cholesterol as it’s commonly known. Higher levels of HDL can help reduce the risk of heart disease. It's low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or "bad" cholesterol, that can put heart health at risk. Meals high in saturated fats and trans-fats such as deep-fried takeaway foods will increase levels of LDL cholesterol. ***Eggs are a good source of Omega-3s*** Omega-3 is short for omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. They're a family of "essential fats" that play an important role in the way our cell membranes work. Oily fish is one of the best known sources and eggs contain similar types of omega-3s as those found in fish. This makes eggs particularly useful for people who avoid or can’t eat fish. Omega-3 fats are good for many things, from heart and brain health to protecting our eyes. ***Eggs are filling and help in weight loss*** Nutrient dense and a great source of high quality protein, eggs are one of the healthiest foods you can eat for weight management. Studies have found that eating eggs can make you feel full for longer by: Increasing levels of a hormone that helps you feel satisfied after eating Delaying the rate at which food leaves the stomach Eating eggs can also help reduce variations in glucose and insulin levels which can have benefits for weight management. Eggs are packed full of high-quality protein which makes them ideal as part of many different dietary patterns that can assist people to manage their weight. The high satiety levels of eggs leads to greater feelings of satisfaction, less hunger and a lower desire to eat later in the day, meaning you’ll be less inclined to reach for that mid-afternoon snack. ***Eggs are among the best dietary sources of Choline*** Though many people have never heard of choline, this nutrient plays an important role in our health. Choline is essential for normal cell functioning and is particularly important during pregnancy to support healthy brain development in the baby. Eggs are one of the best dietary sources of choline. ***Eggs contain antioxidants that are beneficial for the eyes*** Eggs may also help counteract degenerative vision as you age. Eggs are rich in the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin, both of which are believed to play a protective role in reducing the risk of certain eye diseases, including cataracts and macular degeneration. Studies show these antioxidants are better absorbed by the body from eggs than from plant sources. Vitamin A and omega-3 fatty acids in eggs may also protect eyes from retina damage. ***Eggs help boost nutrient intake for healthy aging*** It’s important for older Australians to pay increased attention to what they eat to ensure they obtain the right amount of nutrients in food. Increased nutrient requirements and waning appetites can increase the risk of deficiencies in fibre, calcium, vitamins A, E, C, B6, B12, folate, iron, magnesium and zinc. Older people who primarily stay indoors are also at a higher risk of vitamin D deficiency from a lack of sun exposure. Containing 11 different vitamins and minerals, eggs are an easy way to increase nutrient intakes. They’re also one of the few foods containing vitamin D and are economical, easy to prepare and easy to eat.

Heaven-sent I remembered this story way back when I was just starting to serve in church. This was once told during our seminar and it really inspired me. I hope you all enjoy this too. In a building being built, a group of construction workers like to tease their colleague because he is doing fasting and abstinence during Fridays. He is a faithful believer of the One supreme being. But the man did not bother to pay attention to them which made them more eager to tease him. "Why are you doing that on Fridays? Don't you like the food every Friday? Hahahaha you are just starving yourself. There is no God!" they mocked. He is a Roman Catholic believer. Doing fasting and abstinence during Fridays is a devotion of Catholics. He believes God more than anyone else. After several months have passed, the building is finished. The workers then parted their ways. After how many years, the man's devotion didn't change. He can't go to church because of personal reasons but he's faith is deep. One day, he finally decided to go to church. He attended the morning mass. The mass has ended and he is about to go when the priest came to him. "Remember me, my friend?" asked the priest. "I'm sorry Father, but I don't remember you. I think I just met you now." said the man confused "I am also a construction worker before. We are in the same company. I saw you all throughout. I saw how deep your faith is. They always tease you, but that was an eye-opener to me. You gave me hope. You became a good model to me. You are my angel. And as a thanksgiving, I surrender my self to the Lord and be His servant. It is all because of you. Thank you my dear friend!" said the priest with a teary-eyed. The man cannot believe what he just found out. His faith grew stronger and stronger and no one can break it. God works in ways we thought is impossible. He is always here for us. He sent his angels to guide us. How about you? Have you met an angel? Good Evening!

@noisytoothie

What is a "bestfriend" for you? Because of you, I can be the craziest version of myself. Everytime I'm with you, I think of no one else Sometimes, I'm afraid one day You'll leave me To start your journey, and face the reality Fantasies have never been real for me, Right beside you, imaginations became our company In times of troubles, you're always there for me No matter what happen, let's always be happy Everytime I'm sad, you cheers me up Everytime I'm down, you pulls me up Don't worry, I promise, you will always be My friend in crime, in craziness, my forever buddy!

@noisytoothie

Inconceivable Beauty I was once a cocoon, Trapped inside a room I was all alone Trying to see the moon A dark and narrow place I'm afraid I might be forever in this cage Longing for the outside world But hesitate that my life will be whirled Believing one day I will be free I will soar up high not just in a tree Because the power of dreams strengthen me To wander this world, no matter unsure I can be And now I am ready, To show the world my beauty I might be in a cocoon before But I won't let you trouble me anymore

@noisytoothie

Unsure feelings There comes a time when I'm afraid to love again I feel unsure and still have this pain That feeling when you give your all, But all you can do is to fall There will always be a moment in our life that we are afraid of the things most people loves to do, No more excuses, no more feelings, no attached strings, no more "I Do" What are we afraid of? Losing? Falling? Hurting? Or realizing that you will experience the same trauma again and again? We always thought of a perfect relationship Not a game, not a trip But what can we do if destiny loves to skip? That's why never assume we can have everything flip!
