The closer to late autumn, the sun gets lower on the horizon, the more majestic the sunsets. I often go to a nearby pond and sit for a good hour just before sunset, waiting for the desired effect.
It doesn't always work out, the weather can play tricks on you, but when you get the right weather, you can observe the wonderful play of colors on the horizon. The sunset begins with a color close to purple, but lower above the horizon it changes to orange and almost red.

The day finally came when we decided to change our place of stay. We planned our stay on Koh Rong for 3 days, and it turned out to be a whole week. We do not regret it, because it is a beautiful island for blissful lazing and partying until dawn.

This time the theme is the temple of Ta Prohm, whose original name was Rajavihara. This is another interesting temple in the Angkor Wat temple complex, which was founded in the mid-12th and 13th centuries. It owes its popularity to several facts. The first, very commercial, are the film events that took place there. Because in the Ankor Wat complex as well as in the Ta Prohm temple, scenes for the movie "Tomb Rider" with Lara Croft as the heroine were shot. Undoubtedly a nice attraction.

A brighter day, better mood and a jay's visit to the old place
I must have missed the jay, because it flew to the bench in front of me. And that's just one day off. Of course, she received a dose of Christmas treats, of which I still have plenty.

On my trip to Asia, I took Mavic Air with me and with its help I could see interesting places in Myanmar. This year's mushroom harvest was very abundant. It is true that the season lasted less than a month, but in a short time it was possible to collect a large amount of all kinds of mushrooms.
We were not disappointed, we collected dozens of porcini mushrooms and other mushrooms in less than 3 hours. But the greatest joy was the parasol muschrooms, which, as I counted later, we collected 50 pieces. It's a record. Then, of course, there is the problem of how to process such a mass of mushrooms so that nothing is wasted. We dealt with that as well. Some went to frying, excess fried was placed in vinegar, and a large part went to a dish called "tripe with parasol mushrooms" - it still has frozen supplies for several dishes.

The walls of the huge Red Fort, called Lal Qila, are made of red sandstone, hence its name, like many monumental buildings in India made of this rock. At the highest point, the wall is up to 33 meters high and 2.5 meters thick.

Walking in winter along the park alleys, I never paid attention to the plants that are resistant to cold. One of such plants is "Rhododendron" or Rhododendron Goldfimmer.
There are not too many of these plants in the Silesian Park, perhaps that's why I didn't notice them before. I watched them a week ago during severe frosts, and today, when the temperature exceeded plus 10 degrees.
They practically do not change their appearance. The leaves are still firm, without any signs of frostbite, and the pink buds are just waiting for the right moment to develop.
This variety has unique green glossy leaves with numerous yellow discolorations. It is very pretty even in winter, when it doesn't have beautiful flowers, only buds. The flowers, on the other hand, appear in early spring and have a beautiful light purple color.

The place is unbelievably beautiful, especially in the evening when all the buildings are illuminated. Although there were a lot of tourists, the place captivated.
When traveling around Asia, my destination on the map has always been Burma, now Myanmar, which is the proper name for this country. For many years, this country was inaccessible to tourists, and when it opened up to tourism, people were reluctant to go there. The main reason was military rule, which has a bad image and does not give the impression of security and stability.
Szwendagon is a huge complex of temples and pagodas that are mainly covered with gold paint. Even though several tons of gold were used to decorate the temples, most of the buildings are decorated only with imitation gold, which does not change the fact that it makes an amazing impression.
Virupaksha temple almost like Bagan in Myanmar - Hampi, Karnataka - my journey through Asia
Hampi, which means "champion" in English, is today just a tiny village situated in an amazing place dotted with boulders along the banks of the Tungabhadra River, but in the 14th century it was the great capital of the Vijayanagar empire. When you walk around this amazing place, feel the spirit of history and what could have happened. On the other hand, the place could be a film setting for the movie "Between us cavemen" - it is charming and difficult. Even monkeys have big problems here to move among boulders heated to unbearable temperatures.
The ruins of this magnificent city are spread over an area of 29 km2, and constitute the "largest open-air museum in the world," inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Today Hampi is full of hotels, guest houses and other lodging houses. There are many restaurants serving "European" food, but the proximity of the very popular Goa, which is flooded by tourists from all over the world, made the prices of literally everything sky high.

When we reach the famous India, it is worth having an extraordinary experience and visiting the new capital of this country, i.e. Delhi. One of the popular sites in this area is Humayun's Tomb, which is a perfect blend of history and art.
Humanyun's tomb
This is a tomb, a mausoleum built by Bega Begun and dedicated to her late husband, Emperor Humayun. The construction of the monument began in 1565 and took 7 years.
Humayun's tomb is an extremely interesting combination of Turkish, Persian and Indian architecture. This is the first so-called garden tomb made of red sandstone and built in India. The Persian structure of this monument is 47 meters high.
Entering the tomb from the south, we can see a beautiful lattice. Inside we will see a white dome, and below it an octagonal tomb chamber with the tomb of Emperor Mughal Humayun.

Qutab Minar is a 73-meter-high tower, the construction of which began in 1200, and was started by the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, supposedly as a sign of victory immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu kingdom of Delhi. However, the construction of the last, fifth floor was not completed until 1368. This construction marvel of technology, which stands a bit ruined but intact to this day, amazes many architects and engineers from all over the world.
The iron pillar at the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque - the work of foreign civilizations?
Quwwat-ul-Islam is the first mosque to be built in India, it consists of an inner and outer courtyard, decorated with ramparts, and in its courtyard there is a pillar weighing 6 tons and 7 meters high. The design is over 1600 years old and shows no signs of rusting. Scientific studies have shown that 98 percent is pure iron, and the remaining 2 percent is copper and phosphorus.
