In Singapore, which is mostly inhabited by citizens of the People's Republic of China, the New Year holidays are celebrated according to the Chinese calendar. During the period I was in Singapore, January 2020 was the Year of the Rat. Of course, animals assigned to specific years are repeated and there are as many of them as months, i.e. 12. Thus, the year of the rat in recent years has been 1996, 2008, 2020. Of course, each of these zodiac signs has its own characteristics, and people born in a given period have appropriate character traits described in a similar way as in zodiac signs known in Europe.
