Today, I reminisce about my pre-COVID-19 life, when I used to take the first train out of Ipoh: 5am South-bound train to KL or 5.05am North-bound train to Butterworth. When I needed to make such runs, I hardly got any sleep as I would work a full day, then pack my luggage at midnight and hop to bed at 1am. Then I'd get out of bed at 3.30am, shower and everything and make my way to the train station. It was physically taxing but I was enjoying every minute of such a life. Iโฆ

Fuyohhhh!!! This is my Shopee 4.4 shopping haul. Paid on 4.4 and received on 5.4. They can't be any faster! Ninja Van is super efficient. Every time I opt for Ninja Van, I need to be extra alert and be at my gate as soon as the van arrives. The kingfisher comes visiting this morning, so this is a shot hot from my camera. There is this kingfisher that lives in my area. Sometimes, it sits on my fence, at other times, it hangs out at some other houses in the neighbourhood. I love seeing it in my area because it adds colour to our day. I visited ๐ฑ๐๐๐ ๐๐ back in Summer 2017 and spent about five days in Amman and other cities. What stood out for me was that almost 99% of the buildings in the places that I visited are of the same colour โ light brown / cream. The houses here are built with limestone and not painted over. Apparently, the limestone helps to keep the interior of the building cool during summer months, and warm during the cold winter. Every few years, the exterior needs only to be washed withโฆ

Last evening, I had the opportunity to attend the wedding of a Nile Hippopotamus couple. Yup, you read right and your eyes didn't play tricks on you. My friends here would remember that I posted about my mother's birthday meal a week ago. Well that was the English date. Today is according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. I visited Lake Toba only once, because frankly, once is enough. I took a flight from Ipoh to Medan, and then a bus from Medan to Lake Toba. After my trip, I showed a friend some photos from it and she told me, it was exactly the same as when she was there for her honeymoon back in the 1970s. DOH!!! And, just like during myโฆ

A little late today but breakfast is a MUST, even though lunch is just around the corner, hence it's just a light portion of bread toast and coffee. Hope the 2 cups of coffee can keep me alert at work until at least after lunch. Yup, double doses are required today. ๐ #Food
๐ด๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ Lunch is this jumbo burger. It's an equally large mess eating it as everything falls apart. My mouth is not large enough to take one bite from top to bottom layer, that's why. So, I ended up eating bits and pieces of this and that and not eat like a "burger", if you can imagine. Yes, super messy but finger licking good. Yup, have to eat by hand. ๐ #Food
