𝑲𝒆𝒏𝒚𝒊𝒓 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑽𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒆 (𝑲𝑬𝑽) What a busy start to a new week but then I came across this photo that I took at the Kenyir Elephant Village (KEV) a few years ago, and decided to share a little about this camp for rainforest's largest and most magnificent creatures, the elephants. Their size and intelligence really amaze! KEV is also known as Kenyir Elephant Camp and is located along Temelong River in the Malaysian East Coast state of Terengganu. Established by the Elephant Management Unit under the authority of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, the Central Terengganu Development Authority (KETENGAH) and the Terengganu State Government, this elephant camp is the foremost authority on elephant translocation to ensure a healthy elephant population and reduce human-elephant conflict. These elephants live in a natural environment but visitors to KEV have the opportunity to ride, feed and play with them, under the watchful eyes of mahouts. Over the years, I have visited KEV three times.  #Travel
