𝑻𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒌 𝑫𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒎 𝑻𝒂𝒌 𝑺𝒖𝒅𝒂𝒉 (or The Headgear of Unrelenting Revenge in English) This style of headgear was chosen as the royal head dress of the Kings of Malaya / Malaysia. It was worn by the first King during His Majesty's installation ceremony in 1957. This Tengkolok monument is found in the middle of Chukai town in Kemaman, Terengganu, Malaysia. To travel from Ipoh to Terengganu is a looooong road journey of at least 9 hours! I have visited this East Coast state at least ten times, the last being in mid-Feb 2020. I remember during one trip, I was so ill, that I fell asleep in a homestay that I was supposed to just drop by and have a look at the facilities they offered. Well, guess I took it a step further by checking out their bed. 🤣 #Travel
