Mask Off!
It's been days since our Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved a recommendation to end the mandatory wearing of face masks outdoors. Some may be happy about it, but still, some people are worried about it.
Sometimes it can be described as our life.
Sometimes, we feel happy about hiding and covering ourselves to others. We are comfortable in what just others can only see as having a mask. But deep down in our front, there is something that we hide that others cannot see.
We hide our pain
A smile in our eyes cannot deceive the hearts in pain.
Some are good at hiding things, but sometimes they prefer to cover them anyway for others not to see their weaknesses and pain. Maybe there are situations when others choose to hide it constantly, but it can only help us live in pain forever. The time will come that we will hate ourselves because of this pain that is hiding beneath our mask because pain can poison our hearts and change everything about us, and things turn into negativities.
Hiding emotions will never give satisfaction in our lives; it will just let us end up with regrets about not letting them out. Hiding these feelings will not provide us with contentment because it will always lead us to hatred.
We hide our true selves.
Mask gives us the confidence to pretend.
There are moments in our life when we hide the truth for ourselves just to let others see that we are capable of something that we are not. We try so hard to pretend that it may cause us to forget everything about ourselves.
People used to pretend to make others see them as vital, and some people act to make others believe that they are rich; some people choose to pretend to manipulate and control others' feelings.
But pretension can only make us miserable for not giving ourselves to live for the truth and nothing but the truth. Too much pretending can only make us sad that we cannot be able to express ourselves the true things about ourselves that sometimes make us unloved ourselves even more.
We hide in our comfort zone.
Masks discourage us from going out in our comfort zone
Sometimes having a cover can also destroy us from going out of our comfort zone. Giving us too much comfort, we find contentment under the mask without even knowing that this can make us stagnant and unproductive at the end of time.
Masks can also hinder seeing ourselves in the mirror to see things that we are more capable of that we can do better and that can live happier than ever. It blocks us from realizing that we can be the best version of ourselves outside the box and live more happily and comfortably.
But let me remind you. In the end, we will take off our masks. Everything is just temporary. And some situations and circumstances will lead us to reveal the true things about ourselves.
Before getting it worse, let's express yourself for who you are and what you can be. Express yourselves, and let others see who you indeed are. This way, you could love yourself better and live at peace.
Never hinder yourself to things that you are capable of. You can do more, and you can be more. Never let your comfort zone will beneath your mask.
Rip it off, be confident to show others how we are beautifully made with love, and be proud that you don't have to wear a mask anymore.
Live freely, and be happy!
I want to take this opportunity also to thank @Coolmidwestguy for his generosity and support. You made my day. Thank you for making me feel special, that there is someone who appreciates me. It will always be my pleasure knowing you, and I will treasure and make sure to cherish this day to remember your kindness all the time. God bless you, and again, thank you so much!
We were different masks for different people. We only take off our masks and be our real selves to the right people.
Maganda pa rin naman tuloy ang face mask. Protection na din sa pollution hehe.
