A little togetherness with lasting memories
Some moments lasts afresh, for a while in our memory. And somewhere we wish for the same moment again, though for sure we know, it can only be treasured.
My son is studying in a high range area. Though it is famous for its mountains, valleys, hills and waterfalls, inshort, a green valley landscape, the peoples there miss something more beautiful and that is the beach. As it is a high range area, there are no beaches around.
My son's best friend wanted to see the beauty of a beach where he wish to spent a day. So one weekend my son decided to get his friend to our place. We have quite a lot of beaches nearby our place. As planned both these boys came home for a two day visit.
As suggested my son and his friend along with my family members decided to go for the beach. On nearing the destination, I could see the excitement in the boys face. Infact, the beach was so colourful with kites flying all over, an Ice cream van surrounded by children, so many food courts laid straight near the beach road and much more.
As the boy alighted from the vehicle, he was blushing seeing the beach and its surrounding. He was so happy like a child running and playing to and fro, in the bank of the sea.
On that particular day the beach was over crowded and coast guards with their whistles were moving around not letting anybody to go towards the sea. Because the sea was rough and the waves were roaring aloud. A warning signal indeed.
The food stalls were laid straightly near the beach road. And hot fried snacks along with tea was available. As the weather near the beach is cold, everyone goes for hot pakoras (an Indian famous snack). We get long green pepper fry which is spicy and apt for such weather condition.
An interesting part was there were lot of eagles flying above these stalls. Unknowingly we took our snacks in a paper plate and sat out but in notime it was vanished. Only when people around us said, we realized that it was the eagles who snatched the snack away from us. It was just a moment of closing and opening your eye.
The toy stalls were also occupied with parents of small children waiting to purchase colourful toys for their little ones.
After enjoying for nearly three hours we left home happily. On the way, we stopped by a wayside restaurant to have dinner.
The very next day, the boys left for their destination and my son's friends thanked us for two memorable days he spent. He even promised to visit again and bid good bye.
All photos are mine captured from my mobile.
For someone who lives in the mountains, going to beach is a treat :) It's good that your son and his friend were able to visit you and had fun.
