Wife Material?

I have to admit that I have used that phrase many times too but mostly in jest when a friend did something, especially a female, I tease them and say they are wife material and their wife material is more than 1,000 yards. Over the years I looked at the phrase especially with the way the world is changing right now and you can flip it both ways. Some might find the word offensive because it means we are only saying that's what women are good for; to be married and prepare meals. If you think about it, you can understand why most people narrow it down to that point because it takes the focus off the woman being industrious, entrepreneurial and smart and it makes it look like the only thing they are good for is, as wives. I pondered on it and I think it depends on the credibility of whoever uses this phrase to explain in detail what they mean. I would say it's not degrading but it shows the amazing qualities our women possess. They are a bundle of amazement and with what looked like unending strength and abilities and being in the kitchen is not all they are about. I would be sharing some of the amazing traits I have known women to have or I would expect most women to display:

They must not answer to every name-calling nor should they offer discounts for their worth. Most people sell themselves short and have shown that their loyalty lies with the best bidder. It shouldn't be. They should be dignity veiled in womanhood; never available on discount and the outward adornment must never exceed the inward development because what matters lies on the inside. When a lady is all about beauty, that's all the men would see even though she possesses more. **She Is A Completer:** It doesn't mean that you are incomplete on your own or she is inadequate on her own too but it's more of how women seem to understand things deeper. They sometimes see a few steps ahead and anyone who owns their heart, they would go through any length to help that person and try to guide that person. A friend of mine told me how she tried to help her ex-boyfriend but the guy wasn't getting it. She took it upon herself to guide him but he wouldn't budge. Women can go to extra lengths if they truly care about you and that's how they complete us. We live in a world where most guys want a finished product but most women are not like that. Whatever you give to them, they multiply because they are enablers. They work with raw materials, understand the rudiments and bring out a finished product that would last better and longer. As a woman, everything should improve under your watch because you are capable of so much more than the limits you place on yourself. **She Is Strategic:** Women are strategic. Some can call it cunny but I call it strategic. They know how to prepare ahead, go the extra mile while also calculating every step that leads to their eventual outcome. They are incredibly smart with proven records of making the most of every situation. Women shifts paradigm and they understand that weakness is never a virtue which is why when you look at them as a weakling, they turn around, surprise you and then replace that weakness with strength. **She Likes Success:** We live in a world where when a woman succeeds we think she slept her way through to the top. As men, we need to think better and do better. It's a shame to any man who thinks this way because it shows we are saying they cannot achieve as much as men but that's a lie. Women are driven and they have lived their lives always willing to prove themselves over and over again. Women strive for significance and not only success. They know how to self motivate when the odds are stacked against them. **She Knows The Difference:** We have always ridiculed women that they don't always know the difference...they do... They just want to take you in another direction before showing your their card of Aces. Women have taste, elegance and poise so they can tell you the difference between seductiveness and attractiveness. You know that when a product is really good, you don't need to spend so much on marketing it. Sadly most women try to market themselves forgetting how good their product is. **She Is A Celebrity:** In every man, there is a kid and in every man, there is a king. Whichever one appeals to a woman is what she fans into flame. She is a celebrity because she seizes opportunities, build a legacy and she doesn't just live and shouldn't just live for today even though she lives today. She understands that fame doesn't mean relevance, just as age doesn't mean maturity. You might be cute but that doesn't make you funny so a woman is sometimes impressed with the simple things.
