This is the last part of this series and I am sharing the remaining 4 important points in this post. Kindly read the first three editions here:

Laws That Guards Economic Empowerment.
Laws That Guards Economic Empowerment, II.
Laws That Guards Economic Empowerment, III.

I will be doing justice to the last part here, so there won't be any other part after this. I intend to delve into another topic in the next post or probably just share a bit more about myself before I pick up another topic. I haven't decided but I would have to see how it goes first.

Today, I will be explaining the last 4 quick laws that would empower you as humans. There are things we need to put into consideration if we want to do something worthwhile in this life.

7 Quick Laws of Economic Empowerment.

4. Law of Packaging.

I love this point so much because it keeps bringing out the Economist in me hahaha. We all know that we have different kinds of consumers. In simple terms, we have customers that are drawn to how a product is packaged which would make them want to try it out at first and then probably get hooked on that product. I am that kind of person because I like trying new things out and the moment I try it and I like it, I get hooked on it.

For those whose purpose is to meet the needs of others through goods and services, you might need to consider how best you have to package your products because the success of any product lies in how it appeals to the consumers. If your product doesn't appeal to your consumers you can be sure that the success of that product would be minimal.

How you are perceived would determine how you will be received. No customer or consumer shops for a product but an experience. When you part away with your money, you want to be able to get more value for what you are parting your money for and that's the experience the consumers love. A customer wants more than a service but a feeling of satisfaction. Customer satisfaction should be at the forefront of every business and this is why we always emphasize good customer service too since it's also part of the packaging. Whatever you are selling, how you are perceived or your product is perceived would determine the success of that product.

5. Law of Placement.

Most people go into producing what they think people need, solving a particular problem which is also good but they lack the wisdom to discern where their products are most needed. For a product to sell, accessibility and affordability are key. I know we have different classes of products, those that are luxury items and the ones that most people can afford too but it would be pointless to push your products to an area that is predominantly dominated by those who can't afford them.

This is why a market survey is important and this doesn't go for products alone but for the talents we possess. You have to go to where your talent is needed and stop wasting it away in fields that are not relevant because that's how you will gain mastery with your potential. Every good product has a market and every product of value has someone that can afford it. So, channelling your products to the right quarter based on availability and affordability would give you so much success.

If you are into production or rendering of services, if you have a good product and it's not selling, it means that there is a mismatch somewhere that you need to fix. It's either the market is wrong for you and those you are selling to are not within the income bracket to afford it or your promotion of that product is wrong because what you don't advertise no one can patronize.

Most of us have amazing talents but people around us don't even know the things we do. We don't put ourselves out there, so how can they think of you when they need someone with your talent to fix the problem for them? I don't fail to let people know what I do and what I am about. I want to be in people's faces so when they need someone to encourage people, speak to youths, talk about relationships or write about practical life lessons, they won't think twice than to recommend me or come to me.

How are you selling yourself and to whom are you selling yourself? Find the market for your kind of talent and put yourself out there. When they need you, try and be within reach and range. Let this also go for your product if you are into the rendering of goods and services.

6. Law of Process.

Any result that can be consistently reproduced is proof of the mastery of its process. There is a process to getting things done and if you can't get things done, it means you haven't mastered the process. There is a process to getting things done, a process to starting a business, getting pregnant, making a particular dish, assembling a car or whatever you can think of. If you like skipping the process then success cannot be guaranteed. Most people skip the process because they want a short cut which only makes things longer for them. Try and painstakingly go through the process you are expected to be subjected to. There are a lot of lessons like understanding and patience in every process.

7. Law of People.

Your ability to win people over and get along with them will determine your productivity. A lot of people are saucy and they think they don't need others. How far you will go in life is dependent on those you know. If the only people you know are the same set of people for the last 10 years without adding to it, you might be limited in the things you would achieve. Broaden your horizons, enlarge your tentacles and learn how to get along with people. It doesn't mean you just accept just anyone into your space but know the kind of people that are necessary for your growth.

The End.

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks. I am love's chemical content in human form and that's whyΒ  I advise people to take a dose of "Olawalium" daily. πŸ™ˆ

You are right, the way you package your product is very essential, because a product with a good package, attract more customers to itself, without much advert to that particular products.

The best way to get money from customers is through packaging of one's goods and services, no wonder the Rich prefer to patronize consumers stores with good packaging, buying from them consistently and never mind the high cost of the goods. For example, food that is not more than #500 at our normal food canteen (BÚKΓ€) would be sold to you for for #2000+ at Chicken Republic, Tantalizers, and the rest. Why? Because of the packaging. There was a time, i observed two boutiques, one was classically packaged, while the other was less packaged, i observed people preferred going that the one that was classically packaged despite the high cost of the commodities, compared to the other one.
Another example, there was this building contractor who wanted to bid for contract from an organization, he didn't have the modern car to drive to them, this is what he did, he went to borrow the latest Benz then, wore a well tailored suit, he packaged himself very well, then drove to them. He was awarded the contract, and they paid higher than they were supposed to. They taught he was a very rich contactor, meanwhile in the real sense he was just a normal contractor, his packing awarded him the contract. The way we package ourselves and our things will determine how people will approach us. Now to process, everything has process, and we must not jump the process, we must master it well in order to be successful.

Hahahaha what a smart man. I can't blame him. He knows how it works. He knows he would be addressed the way he dressed... packaging is everything. That's why you see some celebrities borrow clothes or rent clothes just to post on social media to attract brands.

This is very informative and a great tool to people that knows the worth. I learnt a couple of this things in the university last year under an entrepreneurship course. So many people don't know that it's things like these (packaging, placement, processing and a lot of others) that determine if a business will move forward or not. There's a reason why companies are willing to pay millions into branding and companies image, coz the first thing that will draw customers to you is the way you present your products. And let's not forget one of the most important skill: your people's skill. It's one thing to bring in customers, it's totally a different ball game to convince them to buy your products or even to make them keep coming back (repeat customers)

Very well, brother. Branding...packaging ..they speak a lot about the product and why it should be trusted. It's okay to attract customers and it's another to keep them just like you said. The law of people would come in handy right there to make or mar the business. Thanks a lot for this.

There's this igala corper that my elder brother told me about when he was serving in jigawa. He noticed that the loaf of bread sold in that local government are mostly from 250 naira and above, just like all those fine fine bread you get in Lagos. And you know that Hausa people like cheap cheap things. So most of them resort to consume their local bread (gurasa) more than oyibo bread. After service, this guy stayed back in jigawa and used his initiate. Since he was an experienced baker right from his days in secondary school. He rented a two room apartment and converted it to a bakery where he bakes bread whose cost are around 100 and 150 naira. He also baked bigger bread with higher costs but the smaller ones were more.. And since he had an excellent communication skill and very fluent in the language, most of the locals were attracted to him and his product. Today he's the biggest manufacturer of bread in gumel and like six other local government in jigawa. His bread is as common as "close up" toothpaste

Wow...just wow. He identified a need, saw the market and made the product for the market that can afford it. That's genius... I love his thinking...

I am glad you shared this, Bilqees. Thank you.

My oh my!! This is true Mr Ola, no wonder when I decided to start dropshiping for a particular fashion designer, her clothes hardly ever sold from my side, and that was because I was marketing to the wrong audience, her turtlenecks amongst others were quite on the high side, it was well packaged, people loved what they were seeing, but then; the price always served as an hindrance. Telling them the price was like a sharp sword; piercing and crushing down their hopes in actually buying. I also got frustrated after constantly posting on my WhatsApp status, yet no buyer came by...I stopped. I guess those audience were the type that could not afford things on the high side.

And you're very right Mr Ola, it's always good for people to know what you can do. Once they do, and all your jobs with them has always been perfect, they'll easy recommend you to jobs

Absolutely, Ella. It would have been nice if that person decides to make for those with lesser income grade and if not, then that person should target those with higher income like bankers. Her target market is for the rich and there is no crime in that, she just need to push her market in the direction of those that can afford it. Wrong market audience would always frustrate you. So sorry about that.

Thank you for sharing this, Ella.

That's humans for you and the one who introduced you, you can never forget that person and that's why you will always be willing to do the same for the person too. That's the law of people...some people don't get it. They think helping your light to shine would dim theirs not knowing it would only enhance and keep theirs alive too, in the long run.

The difference between suits of same quality in a boutique and a normal shop is packaging. Someone will go to the boutique and buy it without haggling and that same person can go to the shop and haggle like his life depends on it and may even bring the price lower than the cost Price πŸ˜‚.

As for placement: you don't just bring a touchscreen television that can access the internet and place in a market that's filled with common persons that can't even afford it's remote control. One needs to study the market and place the right goods at the right place.

This law of people is the reason why it seems like Igbo men are the most successful when It comes to business. They know how to keep customers, regardless of whether they have the goods in question or not. If they don't have it at the moment they'd kindly move to the nearest shop and get it for you. I have stayed in quite a reasonable number of southern states and I can regrettably say that they lack that quality. Some will even start shouting "we no get change before you bring out money"πŸ˜‚.

As a customer I always prefer to buy foods or things that has a good packaging especially with foods,I'll always make sure that it's safe. We can never grow business if we will not consider all of those points that you have mentioned, people will patronized products that are presentable and well managed, especially when they are accommodated very well.

Exactly...people would always prefer that because they want maximum satisfaction for what they are spending their money on.

Amazing! I must say these laws are great and interesting, especially the laws of placement and people. People arenΒ΄t really getting the idea of the law of placement and they keep thinking things arenΒ΄t working well for them, some would even say "Ise aiye ni" not realizing that there is a technique to work on. At least you need to find where your goods would be accessible to people who can afford them rather than following what others are doing because you feel they are doing fine and it must work for you too.

The law of people is interesting also. Every day we get to meet different people and we need to interact and associate with those we think might help us and not limit ourselves to the same people all over again.

Thank you, KP. I shall be expecting another post that talks about you soon πŸ€”πŸ˜’

Thank you so much, KP. I love your deep understanding.

A lot of people make that mistake in following what others are doing. They send their product to the same place another person sent his...and because that one got more from there, they expect to get the same when they have completely different products.

Yes, I will post about that today. It's the same question I answered on the Weekend Post by Galenkp.

$ 0.01

It's something we can all learn when we try to give ourselves to something without seeking for shortcuts. There are lessons to be learned with patience and understanding. It's like reading a post too and giving your own view rather than what most people do, reading the title, checking few lines and running to the comment section. That's also another way of ignoring process. Process comes with patience and understanding and that's how we grow.

I love that point you picked. Thank you.
