"Bang Bang!!"
The loud thud of gunshots echoed through the silent highway in a secluded part of the countryside. Two bodies fell, and blood flooded the ground. Inside the car was a young lady, silently screaming in pain, helpless, and had witnessed the horrible scene. Tears profusely streamed down her face, and fear painted in her eyes.
The Man Who Laughs with a face covered with a mask heard her whimpers and dragged his feet toward the car. He opened the door and it revealed a crying lady, the sole witness of his crime. In his attempt to reach for her, his sleeves fell to the side, revealing a tattoo on his wrist, "Old Man & Sea." A few inches more and his hand will reach the lady. She shivered in fear and screamed for help, but to no avail. His hand covered her mouth to silence her from shouting. She was restrained, and the man pointed the gun at her forehead.
"Dad. Leave her!" Shouted the younger voice behind him.
"No. She saw it. She must die." The older voice replied.
As she saw the trigger being pulled, she held her breath for One Minute and accepted her fate that soon she would die.
"No. No. Please, spare me!"
She is shaking and shouting, "no, no, please spare me!" She's crying and shivering in fear.
"Gloria. Gloria. Wake up!" Shouts the old woman beside her. "Wake up!" As if she has been pulled from the verge of death when she wakes up. She is panting heavily.
"Are you having the same nightmare again, Gloria?"
She appears fearful but enraged. Full of resentment that has been long held in her heart.
"They made my life like Hell, Grandmother. I will find and kill them!" She shouts in resentment.
"Don't paint your hands with blood, Gloria. Let justice find them and put them behind bars. "
"It's been 5 years, Grandma. There isn't fair justice in this society!"
Revenge and resentment are forming in her mind while looking at her Science book with the formula, F=mw²r printed on one page. The will to find the killer of her parents has been in her mind since the night she was left in misery.
She becomes frustrated as she can't think of any way to find the murderers. She runs to the woods to restore her tangled mind. The Sky starts to turn dark, but she continues running until she finds herself standing on the silent highway where the hell started five years ago.
She was saved from death, but she wished she had just died that night because she has found no peace in her life since then. While standing in the middle of the highway, a bright beam of light blinds her sight, coming from a vehicle turning at the junction speedingly. She freezes and feels hopeless and helpless as if she is in the Ice Age.
A few seconds later, she is pulled back to the side by a manly force.
"What do you think you are doing? Do you want to die?" She shouts at a man with eyes that seem to be familiar to her.
"Who the hell are you? Who cares if I want to? I rather die than be miserable."
A sense of Solitude fills the air. No one dared to talk. There is silence, except for the whispering sounds of the cold air.
That night, the two went separate ways without any words. But their encounter has been followed twice, thrice, and so forth. Different circumstances seem to have destined them to meet frequently until mutual feelings are formed and friendship between them is built.
Gloria's Passion for Science was restored. She feels more different than ever before. Her life seems lighter and her mood seems brighter since the day she met a man who helped her appreciate life again.
One night, Gem invites her to be his date as he plans to reveal the truth. He is falling for her, and he wants to be real to her. Gloria seems to feel the same about him.
"Can we go out tonight? Just Me & You."
They happily enjoy the night, and Gem walked her to the woods. At the end of it, reveals the silent highway where they first met. The moon shines brightly in the silent sky. And two of them look at it in unison.
"I'm falling for you." Says the man that makes her smile.
"I hope you will still like me at the of this night." He continues. He reaches his hand to the sky, which seems like aiming to reach the moon. His sleeve falls, revealing inked words on his wrist, "Young Man & Sea."
As Gloria sees the tattoo, a flashback of a horrible night appears in her mind. The hatred that has long been contained and almost forgotten has awakened, and a fire starts to boil inside her.
"It's you. I don't need to Find You." She speaks angrily.
"It wasn't me. It was my father who killed your parents in return for a large sum of money." He answers.
"Who ordered him to do so!" She cries out.
"The person you know who died after that day. I did it."
Mystery has slowly unfolded. From the death of his parents to his uncle. And the son of the murderer is just right in front of her, but she couldn't seem to pursue her revenge.
"My father wanted to kill you that night when you became unconscious. But I shot his head to save you. So this man standing in front of you is a murderer. Now, will you still like me?" Asks the man.
"No one told you to save me. No one told you to revenge for me. You should have just killed me too. You're a monster!" She shouts angrily and runs away with tears in her eyes.
Gloria sobs in her dark room, still in disbelief. The man he loves is a murderer, the son of the man who killed her parents. In her mind is the thought of whether to kill him or the other way around.
"How can I live with a man who ruined my life?"
She walks to her table with lined chemicals on it. Those she formulated intentionally for her revenge. The time has come but she couldn't seem to use them.
"If I can't kill him, then...."
Slowly, she grabs the bottle of chemicals she formulated and pours the liquid into her mouth. A burning sensation runs through her throat. She just closes her eyes and waits for the end of the night.
The End Of Night was the end of Gloria.
Gem comes in surprise and picks up the bottle from her hand.
"If we can't be together in this world, maybe on the other side. But can I be forgiven?"
Following the death of Gloria, Gem sat beside her, held her hand, and drank the chemical. He died afterward.
THE END.
Sorry for this. Not all stories have happy endings anyway.
This is just another fiction story I made, using the song titles of the latest album of G.E.M., a.k.a. Gloria Tang Tsz-kei, a Chinese singer who was introduced by this Chinese lady at home.
I'm not a fan of hers, but I like her latest album. It's not just an ordinary album, but a superb one. She is the sole writer and concept creator of all songs and MV's. All songs are connected and form one story. A story of love, death, resentment, frustration, and finding love and hope again.
The story above isn't the same as the album story. But when I thought of the album Revelation, and the song Hell, the story about revenge formed in my mind. Some photos were screenshots from her music videos, which I thought suits with the story. You can watch her MVs know the whole story of the album.
You can read other stories here, inspired by some of my favorite singers.

Ang lungkot. Maybe hindi talaga dito pero kung nagbigay pa si Gloria ng oras to heal baka umokay pa or find another love.
