Or rather, i have different experiences in. In the text, it comes across as if you have control over love. It is like you're saying that you decide who and when to love and that logical reasoning can be applied to it.

Which to me is utterly ridiculous. True love cannot be controlled. True love happens to you, and you simply have to deal with it like a law of physics. If you can control the love you feel, then the first and undeniable conclusion you know as a fact is that it is not true love. It's a crush, lust or a silly flutter or something like that. The only one that can change the love you feel if it's true love is the one you love.

Having said that, we are of course sentient, reasoning and thinking people who are in control of ourselves. We can choose to ignore the love we feel, decide that for whatever reason we convince ourselves of that we should not act or do what the love is telling us we should do. We can choose to convince ourselves that we love someone, and choose to be with that person.
