If You Are Afraid To Fall, Be Brave Like A Raindrop

June 8, 2021 I have posted about raindrops yesterday on noise.cash and I thought to write an article about it since I can't think of any topic to write about.

Meanwhile, my mind was still lagging at that time for some annoying reason, and I can't start writing the content for this article. If Eylz has been inspired by my post, I was motivated to start writing the content of this article after reading her's. Fear of Fall and Failures Of Life Basophobia as it's called, FOF or Fear of Fall. It's natural and typical of most humans. Some were inborn and appear to increase with age. Some have it, due to the psychological trauma of a fall. And once it occurs, it will leave a person a feeling of being shaken up and more cautious. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_of_falling#:~:text=The%20fear%20of%20falling%20 In another point of view, we feel anxious and have fear of fall at times in our lives because that's our body's normal reaction to any threat or danger. Nobody likes to fall anyway, because we are afraid of what lies below on ground, or what will happen to us when we fall - die or survive? When we have failure experiences from the past, we form fear of fall inside us. When things didn't go as planned, we shut down our bodies and minds. We start to doubt ourselves, "*am I not good enough? For how long do I need to hold on? Should I just let my life fall?*" We always ask ourselves and the output just leads us against our morals. And being a perfectionist is often the root of the fear of failure, especially for those who don't want to be defeated. They always want to succeed, not to fall. **Fear To Fall In Love** When we are emotionally connected with someone, we tend to distance ourselves from them. Because we are afraid to create the most wonderful feeling we will ever felt. Because we are afraid that it might just end up creating a fictitious love story. Because we know that not all fairy tale stories have happy endings. And so we choose to seek the comfort of solitude. We choose to be like Philo, fear of falling in love or be committed to someone, Philophobia is its name. And I guess, I have this aversion as well. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philophobia_ We fear falling in love especially if we've fallen to someone deeply in the past but the person we loved did not save us from falling. We've been in love, but the story didn't last, and what was left were painful scars engraved by the person who once held our heart. And so we are afraid to fall in love again because we are afraid of the painful separation once the love story ended. Fall Is Meant To Happen We have fallen many times in our lives and it's freaking painful. As a result, we tend to be more cautious and diligent before taking any actions, because we don't want to suffer that pain again. But then we are just human, we will fall again and again. Fail to achieve the goals, fall from the mountain of hope, fall from the cliff of death, fall to the heart of someone - purposely or accidentally. **For some, they thought that fall is already the end. BUT NO, IT'S NOT!** *Tears fall to clear our strained eyes to give us relief.* *Withered leaves and flowers fall from plants in order to reproduce new ones.* *Trees falls and sacrifices their bodies to give us shelter and to give warmth to our homes.* *Raindrops fall because God tells them to do so, to give life to the Earth.* ***Everything happens for a reason, and all creatures have their own purposes in this world.*** **If You Are Afraid To Fall, Be Brave Like A Raindrop** Have you heard the story about The Raindrop Who Was Afraid To Drop? This is actually a story about stepping out from the comfort zone, as it can be horrifying at some point. Sometimes we are afraid to step out of our comfort zone because we might fall while crossing the bridge to an uncharted zone, or while walking around our optimum performance zone. And we are afraid that we might reach or fall into the danger zone. ***We are meant to fall when outside our comfort zone and we can encounter challenges for us to learn how to get up.*** We can't just stay inside our comfort zone forever, because we need it for us to grow as a person. And how can we reach our goals and new heights if we will only roam around our comfort zone and stick to our habits and routine? Yes, it is risky to be outside our comfort zone, but it can be rewarding once we learned how to pull out ourselves independently from falling into the black hole of uncertainties. ***And challenges are meant to happen for us to know how to stand again and reach for God's hand and to strengthen our faith.*** ***It may be easier said than done, but we should not be afraid to fall, because we always have the option to back up again.*** I seemed so optimistic talking about falling in love again, but who knows? I might find a match made in heaven on my way to Utopia.
