This blog is not intended to offend any parties and this is not intended to promote any gambling activity. This is just made for entertainment only and all the information that I have stated from this blog are basically base on my own opinion and thoughts only.

__________________________________________

Do you have some pastime? A gambling pastime to be exact. Do you usually won or does it a lose-win, lose-lose game?

Making a gamble activity as a pastime for me is not a great choice of pastime. Well I can say that maybe because I am not into gambling. However for some reasons, others says it's okay to have a pastime in gambling as long as they know how to control their selves and they have self discipline. For other's perspective, since we have different ways to coat out our boredoms, for others this is a great choice, as it is fulfilling their wants.

Then I respect them for that.

So today I will be discussing about this gambling that is very popular here in our country, which is called eSabong.

What is eSabong?

eSabong is defined as the online/remote or off-site wagering/betting on live ko matches, events, and/or activities streamed or broadcasted live from cockpit arena/s licensed or authorized by the Local Government Units having jurisdiction thereof.

Anyway I came to this topic because I can see from news that this type of pastime is now causing a lot of troubles and even serious crime's, so I decided to express my thoughts and opinions about this pastime.

So basically this past few days I have been watching the news from the TV. And from the news I have seen a different scenarios that for me, defines as the downside of this kind of pastime. Actually it can be called gambling, and gambling is gambling and we all know that it has definitely have bad side effects at any cost, and so no matter how legal it is, it's still bad that may cause trouble.

Anyway, nowadays eSabong becomes a very popular pastime here in the Philippines. This actually started during the pandemic. Honestly I can't believe that even the time where almost everyone lost their job, gambling becomes their favourite pastime. Despite the crisis that everyone's facing, there's still have lots of people who are doing gambling, and the worst part was the government even made it easier for gamblers to do gambling activity because they made this legal through application.

At first it was just a pastime for others, but as the days goes by, some people becomes addicted with this pastime. From small investment until it becomes huge investment.

Since some gambler's becomes addicted. It creates a certain problems to the community,as some of them do some crimes such as robberies and snatching just to have some investment.

And I'm quite disappointed with some News that I have seen.

Baby for sale!

Can you believe that? A mother of 9 months old baby girl sell her own child because of gambling?

My gosh, I was really disappointed with this news. How irresponsible mother she was to put her child at risk, she don't deserve to be a mother actually.

According to the news the mother of the baby was suffering from depression when she sell her daughter, that is why she did that mistakes. She insisted that it was unintentionally.

The reason of her depression was she borrowed money then she spent it in eSabong, as she was also trying her luck to win. But unfortunately she just loses all the money that she borrowed, and when she don't have any money to pay for her debts, she decided to sell her own child as her last choice🤦.

Properties for sale

This is the story of a seaman who got addicted with this eSabong gambling. According to him it was just his pastime. He just started from a small investment from he's savings, until he loses he's control it becomes he's addiction, until he loses all he's money.

Because he already got addicted, he then sell their properties to continue gambling. But unfortunately he also lose all he's money. After he's family found out what he did, he also lose them including he's wife, as they got disappointed on him.

He then experience hard times alone with empty pocket after he loses everything because of eSabong gambling.

It was unbelievable that most of them are risking their money in gambling, it's such a waste.

And last night from the news I have heard that the government has no plans to remove this online gambling despite with all the report's, as for them it is helping the community.

Was it really helping the community ? Was gambling is the right answer for poverty? Was it a good pastime?

For me it's a big no. Although some says that it is not actually a gamble stuff as it is only a pastime, I can still says that it is not a good pastime. We're already facing a serious crisis and so why wasting money for gambling?

Gambling isn't the right answer for poverty, which they thought it was. It might be a good pastime for rich people but the problem here was not only rich people are doing this pastime, but also those who are also in needs. It might make you win for some time but it can also makes you lose everything, even the money that you have just won.

They says that the government has no responsibility with the addiction that the people had been through with this gambling as it is their own choice.

Well yeah it is really their choice, but if they didn't introduce this activity to everyone, then nobody will do gambling, isn't it?

What am I trying to say here was, if only the government will stopped and won't promote this kind of gambling then the crime and poverty may decrease, isn't it? But the thing is they are even saying that this activity is helping people 😁. Well let's just say it was, then how about the crimes? Was it also a helpful act?

Aren't really they're responsibility to stop people to do gambling? They are the makers of the law and yet they are also the promoters of gambling.

If this is the kind of law that the community has, is there still a chance to solve the crisis and poverty?

Anyway I think I'm good. I'll be leaving those questions to hear your opinions in the comment section and so I'll be ending this blog from here.

'til next time and thank you for reading.

I think that it is not an entertaining game, but on the contrary, it is harmful in many financial respects.

The number rule with gambling .... never gamble what you cannot afford to lose. that woman selling her baby should be shot, and surely nobody bought it, is that not illegal there, it is here and so is cock fighting. Great food for thought about gambling, here often it is the poorest who gamble and they gamble money for food and rent etc.

That's so weird for the lady to sell her baby for the sake of gambling. Jeeeez! I think gambling has more disadvantages than advantages. It kills slowly if it doesn't stop on time

Exactly, how can a mom sell her own child for nonsense.

Though it has a good tax for the government we can't deny the facts that it has a lot of downsides too.

Gambling is not in anyway good. It's a give and take situation.... One can't guarantee success through it. The best thing to do is getting a legal and civilized means of making money. Gambling, to me; is a spirit... Once one starts and wins. He/she comes back to play again, if he/she looses, he/she remembers his/her first win and keeps coming back until the addiction arrives... And boom!, One won't be able to let go of such dangerous act.

Anything that we get addicted to is not healthy especially gambling for we all know that luck is elusive to most of us. I fell sorry for the mother who was pushed by desperation to do what she had done.

Indeed, but what she did is wrong and so she must pay the consequences.

There was a news that the mother sell her own daughter just as so she could gamble. For me gamble isn't the answer to poverty, it's whether it drag us down to poverty so bad or we are lucky to hit the jackpot but mostly in some cases it's the first one.

Yung anak nang Auntie ko, pati yung asawa nang anak niya, hook na hook sa e-sabong. Like, napapagalitan na niya dahil yung anak nila nangangayayat na tas sila nasa e-sabong lang. May loan nga daw eh.

Anyways, grabe naman yung "Baby for sale". Sana lang talaga dumating yung time na magbago pa sila, habang may time pa..

Totoo talaga yan sis, based on observation some are selling their assets, properties just to have something to gamble. Somehow, that's actually one of its negative impact.
