Will you open that door?

I've always been fond of looking and taking photos of Doors. They amused me, and my curiosity grows every time I see a beautiful one, it makes me think if their door is that beautiful how much more it is inside.

There are different functionalities of doors. It provides privacy, it protects us from outsiders, it beautifies the entrance of our homes, but for me, doors are always exciting and it always leads us to a different scenario. Sometimes it offers great opportunities, sometimes it offers warmth and love.

But aside from that doors also tells us some lessons in life that most of the time we ignore.

There are a lot of people who are in need right now. There are hearts that have been closed because of the past that hurt them so much. Let's be a door opener for them. If we have something to share with those who are in need, why not? right?. Let's be friendly and understanding to those who have been hurt. Let us be a leader who will open the door for them and help them find their way.

There are times in life that we keep on knocking on the wrong door, we keep on staring at the closed door for too long that we forgot that there are other doors that we can try. Don't stay too long staring or knocking at the closed door. Don't wait too long for it to open. There are other doors that are just waiting for you to knock. Doors that are more than willing to accommodate you, and more loving than the one that is closed for you.

This is why you shouldn't be afraid of trying to knock on other doors or push that door that is waiting for you to open up. There are so many things that are waiting for you behind that door that you are afraid to open. Most of the time fear stopped us from trying something new, it stopped us to explore, hindering us to see the new world that is waiting for us. Go and have the confidence to explore what's behind that door, it might offer you better things, it might teach you a lesson that you need to know or learn in life.

We keep on finding that key to happiness. We keep on thinking that we need someone for us to be happy. We keep on buying things that we thought will make us happy but only gives us a short period of happiness. Happiness is within us, it is the way we think, it is how we see life. If you are a toxic person that keeps on looking at the negative side of life you will have a hard time finding that happiness. Because happiness is within us, it is how we perceive life, it is how we deal with life. So before you look outside for that happiness that is so elusive, start with yourself first. Know that the door to your own happiness is always open if you will only accept yourself the way others see you.

The door to the future is for those who are brave enough to open it. They are the ones who try everything just to open a door. They are the ones who have the courage and confidence to get that dream. They are the ones who are not afraid to open that door and take that first step to reach their goal. As they always say the first step is hard but you got to do it if you want a better future.

I guess almost everyone encountered this quote. It is ok to look at that closed door as long as we know when to stop because the other door that had been opened for us might close too just because we are too busy staring at the one that had been closed for too long. Sometimes opportunities passed us by not because it is not for us, it is because we keep on holding to things that we should have let go of.

Final thoughts

Most of the times doors are closed, so it is up to us if we are going to knock, or if we are going to push it, for us to find what's behind it. Lucky are those who have the key to go in without any struggle. But whether you have the key, or have to knock, or if you are going to push it, you will need enough courage and confidence to be able to do that first step in going through. I hope every door that we open up will welcome us with enthusiasm and that it will always teach us the lessons that we need on our everyday journey.
