10 Days with the Community
This baby of yesterday is fast growing into a boy, and before you know it, he is already a man. I joined read.cash on February 1, 2021 and since then it has been an awesome experience. As a newbie on read.cash and a novice to Bitcoin cash I spent the first few days exploring the platform and reading up on Bitcoin cash to equip me with the basic knowledge like how to send and receive bitcoin cash, creating a wallet on Bitcoin.com, and much more.
The journey so far has been great, I have read some articles, I have also published some articles myself, and met a few individuals on the platform who has been supportive. My first post on the platform didn’t get much engagement, that’s understandable as I was just a newborn baby – no one knows about my existence. This improved with the second article, as well as with the subsequent ones. Though most times I had to post the link to my new articles on noise.cash to get people to visit and hopefully read it and lead feedback.
**My Earning**
I received the first tip from a user, @PVMihalache on the first day for a comment on his article. It was a few cents from another user. At the end of the day, I got about $0.02. On the second day, the earning increased to $0.20, and I was really impressed to have received something, no matter how small, as I never expected any user to tip me on the first few days on the platform. It was not till day 4 that the random rewarder noticed my presence on the platform, it visited and gave some tips on the current article and some of the previous articles. It was the happiest day I have had in weeks. The highest I received on those posts was $5+. Since then, I have been receiving tips of $2+ on my subsequent posts, except for one that I got about $0.33. To date, I have received a total tip of $20+. At the current rate of $2 per post, I would end up with about $60+ after a month – that’s if I’m consistent with at least one post per day. Though I’m happy to have earned so much in my first few days on the platform, it seems my recent earnings have been fixed at $2 per post, I hope to see an improvement in my earning. Anyways, I’ll always appreciate whatever I receive.

I published my first article on the first day – an introductory post to let know readers know who they will be reading from. And since then I have published a total of 11 articles. I ensured I made at least one post per day.

The goal for creating read.cash as well as noise.cash is to create awareness about Bitcoin cash to increase its mass adoption by distributing BCH to a lot of people. The site has been created; we have joined and earned some BCH, what next? We can’t just join, earn and fold our arms while expecting more earnings. To whom much is given much is expected. We are expected to learn about Bitcoin cash to be able to promote it to our family and friends so they will know that Bitcoin cash is not a scam and will hopefully decide to join the community. I have noticed many users on the platform creating awareness about Bitcoin cash via social media and word of mouth.

The value of Bitcoin cash dropped when I joined the read.cash, and as a novice, I was worried. But I read a post from @phabulu which states that the drop is good for the read.cash users. As they will earn more BCH per dollar, and when the price of BCH increase, users who hodled their BCH will have more value for it. His perspective was well understood. I was inspired to share my view of the matter in this post.

When I joined read.cash, most of the posts I read on my first day were about the #Club1BCH and how users are setting Bitcoin cash goals for the year. And I also rushed into setting mine. A high target, to be honest, at the current earning rate, I don’t see myself achieving the set target, but I like to challenge myself. I won’t be disappointed if I don’t achieve it.

What if I send Bitcoin Cash to a Wrong Address
*"Sending Bitcoin cash to the wrong address is the digital equivalent of dropping cash out of your wallet or pocket and having a random person pick it up almost instantly. No way to find the person and no legal recourse to ask for it to be returned back to you."*
I told two friends about Bitcoin cash, how it works and how to earn to it on read.cash and noise.cash. They asked for my proof of earning and withdrawal before they will be convinced that it is not a scam and will decide to join (I can’t blame them, we have encountered a lot of scam projects that made promises they didn’t fulfill). At that moment, I just joined read.cash and yet to earn any tip. Yesterday I got some tips and didn’t waste to tell them about it. I asked them to download and install bitcoin.com wallet, then I sent them $1 each (I could have sent more, but I have only earned $6). I didn’t just send them the $1 to their bitcoin.com wallet, I showed them how to purchase mobile phone airtime from **alfa.top**, and they were really impressed. And now, both friends have joined the community.
While I sent the $1 worth of BCH to them after $1 was successfully sent to one friend, I forgot to copy the BCH address of the other friend, and the second $1 ended up in the same wallet (of the first friend). We waited several minutes in vain for the second friend to receive the $1. I was surprised because the transaction takes only a second or more to land in the recipient’s wallet. Then I decided to check the transaction details and realized I sent it to the same BCH address, which we confirmed from the first friend’s wallet, he had $2. I had to send $1 from his wallet to the second guy before they each bought airtime with the $1.
I couldn’t help but think: What if I sent the BCH to a wrong wallet other than my friend’s? can the transaction be reversed?
The simple answer is NO!
All Bitcoin cash transactions which have already been broadcast to the network are irreversible (there is no way to reverse that which has already been sent). So there is a need to confirm transaction details before sending.
**Sending Bitcoin Cash (BCH)**
Follow the following steps to send Bitcoin Cash from your bitcoin.com Wallet:
1. Launch the Bitcoin.com wallet app and tap on the “SEND” button located towards the top of the Home screen.
2. Select the asset you want to send (e.g. Bitcoin cash)
3. Copy and paste the recipient’s BCH wallet address into the space provided. Or if you’re in person, you can simply scan the receiver's wallet QR code with your device.
4. Choose the wallet you want to send Bitcoin cash from.
5. Enter the amount you want to send and tap on ‘Continue’.
6. Carefully double-check that the details of the transaction (amount and address) is accurate, if you are happy with the details, Slide to send. Please double-check that the amount and address you are about to send BCH to is accurate; if everything is correct just swipe to send
*Please note that because transactions on the bitcoin (BTC/BCH) network cannot be reversed it is always recommended that you copy and paste bitcoin addresses rather than typing them, and always double-check that the address you pasted is correct*.

**How to Receive Bitcoin Cash**
Take the following steps to receive Bitcoin cash on bitcoin.com:
Launch the Bitcoin.com wallet app and tap on "Receive" located towards the top of the Home screen.
Choose the asset (BCH) and the wallet you want to receive the Bitcoin cash to. Ensure you select a Bitcoin cash wallet if you are receiving Bitcoin Cash.
The chosen BCH wallet will generate an address. Copy the address by tapping the QR code.
Provide the copied address to the sender, or if you’re in person, the sender can simply scan your wallet QR code with their device.
The Nigerian Girl
Life in Nigeria is more about adaptation to your environment and resistance to bad influence, accepting all good values and obedience to the laws of the land as well as following typical Nigerian parent principles. Living in Nigeria has to deal with learning to endure every challenge and winning them like never before.
A mother is pregnant for approximately nine months. Then when it’s time, she gets into labour and brings to life a beautiful baby girl. That is when life begins, the moment you breathe in that "dirty" yet refreshing Nigerian air. Then, she lets out her first cry after feeling what you are probably in for. A lot of eyes are on her, admiring the cute little angel before them. Weeks pass by with the little angel still trying to adapt to the situation of every moment, with her family always around wondering what their sweet baby would become in the nearest future.
“Our future lawyer” or “the family doctor” they would say
“or my Engineer”
"no, she has the sharp dazzling eyes of a pilot.”
Life goes on, and she is four months old. Our baby is growing into a big girl. She has gained a few pounds of weight and looking as chubby as she can be. She is already learning to sit down.
Her life still bounces on till she is eight months old ready to crawl and making attempts to walk, that’s what kids love to do. "You don't have to rush into things sweetheart, crawl first then you walk, “everything in life is one step at a time" her mum would say. Of course, she still has a lot of steps to climb, she is still a child.
Did I forget to mention the stressful nights when she had to keep mum and dad awake, just to stop her from crying, but some nights she kept on crying for a reason they still don't understand. Obviously, reasons are best known to her.
She keeps growing till the first time she says the word "mummy" at that point she has made her mum one of the happiest mothers on earth and if instead she says "daddy" you take your dad to the highest attainable cloud, some say it's cloud nine....whatever it is, you are still the reason why your parents are just full of joy and happiness
As she gets older, her next step of life begins; her first day at a typical Nigeria school. As I mentioned earlier, "*life in Nigeria is much more surrounded with your ability to adapt*". She has always never been away from mum and dad and have only known the faces of people in her family, now she will get to see new faces, be away from her parents and home for a specific period of time, and seeing her teacher holding a long tiny stick often called "Mr koboko", a cane. I'm pretty sure that is the main reason why she often crys when her dad is about to drop her at the classroom door. Then her daddy says "my baby girl you've got to stop crying and be a good girl, listen carefully to all that your teacher teaches and make sure you are nice to everyone around you". And with that, he bids her goodbye. The moment he is gone, she will take her time to take in her new environment and get used to the faces she will likely be seeing every day. As time goes by, she still don't find school fun to go especially when she has someone who has made it his or her hobby to bully and make fun of her. Obviously, she is bound to find people like that or her teacher who spanks her and makes her cry for not grasping what she has been teaching for the past one hour. She is usually her happiest when she gets to see her dad or mom come pick her up after school.
There are also days when she fall sick or have a high temperature which leaves her parents really worried at that moment, she will probably refuse to eat her food, even her favorite meal. Days when her mum would scold her for being so naughty. It's all part of being a Nigerian, getting flogged for messing around or getting shouted on for not eating your lunch at school. Getting scolded for failing your assignments and so on.
Being in nursery school has a lot of things coming along sides with it...little did you know you had a lot more than just nursery rhymes to know.
Living on Less: Saving on Feeding
The unemployment as well as poverty rate in Nigeria is alarming, and my family and I seems to add to the count. Trying out different gigs daily to earn little money to support my family. With the little income coming in, Living on less becomes a necessity.
I will share the money saving and management skills we apply to be able to live on my little monthly income. Let's start with one of the basic needs of the family - **FOOD**
**Cheaper Source of Animal Protein**
Protein is an important nutrient that should be incorporated in everyday meal, but animal source of protein like fish and meat are expensive. So to cut back on expenses on meat or fish, we keep some local Nigerian chicken extensively, during the day, they go out to hustle for food and at night they return to their pen. Sometimes we give them leftovers we got from event centers (I do join the catering team on weekends as usher in events, so at the end, I will gather all the leftovers and take them home to feed the chickens. We slaughter some chicken monthly, and at the rate they are multiplying, we may never run out of chicken. Also the hens get to lay eggs, and we do take out some of the eggs for consumption while they hatch the rest. I have had the thought to add turkey to the population, but they are expensive. But I plan to buy a male and at least one female as soon as possible, hopefully they will get to mate and produce offsprings.
We don’t eat just chicken and eggs!
The old cliché that variety is the spice of life applies to us as well. They are bushes around our apartment so I’d set traps to catch bush rats, rabbits and squirrel, we also get to each snakes as well – I’m scared of snakes, so the snake trapping and killing is done by a friend, and I get to have a share of the catch. Snake meat you said? Yes snake meat, and it’s delicious, sometimes gives a smoked fish taste – depends on who prepared it and how. We also get to eat meat. There is a stream not far from the house, but the fish doesn’t come as often as I would like – it’s seasonal and I’m not the only one that has access to it. So I’d supplement by buying smoked fish and sometimes frozen fish from the market.
This helps me save the money that would have been used to purchase expensive fish and meat from the market. This money is then channeled to take care of other needs.
**Other F**ood
Veggies: We have a small backyard vegetable farm where we grow some vegetables like Ugu (fluted pumpkin leaf), bitter leaf (to prepare better leaf and also used to prepare egusi soup), and spinach. Though they are not always available at the required quantity, when that’s the case, we do buy some from neighbours or the market to augment it.
Fruits: There are mango and orange trees within the compound, we and the close neighbours have access to them. We also have a paw-paw tree and little banana plantation behind the house. Some of these fruits are seasonal, so whenever they are avaible we have access to fresh fruits. One of my siblings likes apple, so we get to buy apple for her, whenever we can.
Farm: We have a farm, few meters away from the house where we cultivate some crops like maize, yam and cassava. The land is not large, but the produce gets to last a few months. We store the maize (sometimes dry and grind them for the chicken) and yam properly. Then mum process some of the cassava to *fufu* and the rest to *garri*.
These are some of the food we are able to grow, I forgot to mention plantains. The rest, we buy from the market. We may not be rich and buoyant enough to buy what we need, but mother earth has blessed us with some resources to help out. And we plan to maximize the gifts of nature.
**Buying food**
The food we cannot grow we buy! One of the popular foods in Nigeria is rice. And my siblings love to take tea. And I, mum and two other love beans. So we always make budget, draft a shopping list and buy at the beginning of the month, what we will need for the month. I don’t have a job yet, but I take little gigs here and there to make some money. And I give most of it to mom for keep. At the end of the month, we’ll check how much have been saved and make our budget within the amount. Mum takes care of the foodstuff shopping.
**Her shopping strategy to manage the little money she has got:**
Before going to shop, she makes a shopping list and always sticks to it! She writes the list with estimated cost. Then after buying all on the list and some amounts are still left, she we buy other stuffs she needs.
She buys in bulk! The reason for the monthly shopping is so that she can buy the stuffs in bulk. Buying in bulk is cheaper and helps save a few cents.
She doesn’t buy from huge supermarkets and shops, she goes to the local market where she gets most of the stuffs fresh and for the best price. Most goods from supermarkets are pre-packaged, hence more expensive than the loose produce at local and street markets. And she is good at bargaining, so she almost always get stuffs at the lowest possible price.
After purchase, she stores them properly to avoid spoilage and wastage.
Cooking Food
Mom loves to cook soup and stew in bulk and fill them in containers to be frozen. Then we take in bits to warm whenever we want to eat. This helps save cooking cost. The source of heat for cooking are gas, firewood and saw dust. We get saw dust free from wood mills and firewood from bushes, we also buy especially during rainy seasons. We have a locally made cooker that uses wood saw dust and firewood, which we use when we want to cook in bulk or prepare long cooking food like beans.
BCHNigeria: More Utility, Road to Mass Adoption
One way to improve Bitcoin cash adoption in the country is to increase the number of its users, another is to have more BCH vendors (many feel more comfortable dealing with a person one-on-one transaction, than an exchange website) and also provide more utility for Bitcoin Cash in Nigeria. Presently, we have a lot of local crypto vendors in Nigeria, but most if not all don't deal with Bitcoin cash (BCH), they prefer the more popular Bitcoin (BTC) and even Ethereum (ETH).
So, creating awareness, educating people and inviting them to earn BCH on read.cash and noise.cash, without providing more utility for what they earn may not be as productive as we do hope for. Many will join, earn and simply swap it to other crypto like Bitcoin and Ethereum they can easily sell to local vendors for Naira. read.cash made it very easy for users to withdraw their earnings in other cryptocurrencies with the sideshift.ai feature. With this, a read.cash user don't need to own a BCH wallet with bitcoin.com or other wallets to earn and withdraw from read.cash. The user can simply earn enough and withdraw it in BTC, ETC or any other preferred token that are more popular in the country.
We need to provide more utility to push forward for a massive adoption of Bitcoin cash in Nigeria. Getting Nigerian merchants and service providers to accept bitcoin cash as a means of payment will be a hard nut to crack, but very possible. It needs patience, more convincing efforts and perhaps irresistible offers to merchants.
**Where do we start from?**
It's obviously getting merchants to accept bitcoin cash as means of payment.
According to a survey by IPSOS Nigera, phone airtime/data is second only to food in terms of what Nigerians spend their money on and,surprisingly,ahead of transport. This is true for every region of Nigeria. (14% spend most on food, 10% most on airtime and 9% on transport.) How about getting airtime vendors to accept bitcoin cash? or creating a platform or an App with provision to purchase airtime and data with BCH? Millions of Nigerians buy airtime and data everyday, being able to mke this purchase with Bitcoin cash, could give some a good reason to want to earn and use BCH. About creating a site or app, I neither have the technical-know-how nor the finance. Perhaps individuals with the finance or skills can provide such for Nigerians to top-up their mobile phone number with bitcoin cash. I have come across one of such platforms that accepts Nigerians, Alfatop, but their charges are high. I tried purchasing ₦1,000 wroth of airtime, and I was to pay $3.70 which I could exchange for about ₦1,600. So a cheaper option would be better. https://alfa.top
**What can I do?**
Within my limitations, I have created whatsapp and Telegram group where we will provide support to purchase airtime and perhaps other possible commodities with Bitcoin cash. The individual will send the amount in BCH and I will recharge the phone with same amount of airtime from the major service providers in Nigeria (MTN, Airtel and Glo), with no hidden charges.
**Possible Challenges**
Will there be challenges? of course there will be challenges.
And top on the list if **Trust issues**. Getting people to send their BCH to me out of trust, with hope of receiving airtime in return. I will build good reputation by starting with close friends, family and relative. When satisfied with my services, they will most likely spread the news to others. I will also create awareness of the services on social media like Facebook and twitter, inviting the to join the groups on Whatsapp or/and Telegram.
Second if **capital**. I will need money to buy the recharge I will sell to them. But I can always start very small with whatever little I can scrap from my gigs. Also I don't expect immediate massive rush, so I will build gradually with whatever I have at hand.
And the there will be people who will want to take advantage of the situation by trying to **scam** me or potential buyers. An individual may claim he sent BCH when he/she didn't. And they may chat up members claiming to be in charge, (yes, some Nigerians can be so gullible). This can be checked when it arises.
**What Next?**
Let' begin and see how it turns out. I bet it will turn out great with the right support. I don't expect a rush at the beginning, but expect an increase in the use of the service with time. I will have to create awareness so that more individuals will be aware they can earn bitcoin cash with little effort on read.cash and noise.cash, and they can purchase airtime of as little as $0.50 with the BCH they earn. The group will also serve as a medium to educate and update them on bitcoincash, read.cash and noise.cashe.
With time, we will introduce other feasible commodities and come up with other ways to utilize their BCH to purchase something or pay for services.

Bitcoin Cash is Down: Shouldn’t we be Worried?
Yesterday, I read a post “Bitcoin cash is down and it’s good for us here”. At first glance, I thought https://read.cash/@phabulu/bitcoin-cash-is-down-and-its-good-for-us-here-a1e99800
“How could this be good for us? Shouldn’t we be pushing for Bitcoin cash to keep rising? As the more it rises, the more the value of the Bitcoin cash we hold (for those who have, I have none).”
I opened the post to have a pick at his words. And like he stated in the first paragraph of his article
“if you are a newbie in the Cryptocurrency world you may be worried seeing this price going down.”
And truly as a newcomer to the cryptocurrency space, such a drop in price would leave me worried. But reading further, I was able to capture his perspective and I had to agree with his shared thought.
I had to read more on Bitcoin cash and other related resources to know more about Bitcoin Cash, its pricing, and the effects (benefits and drawbacks) of Bitcoin cash price volatility.
The volatile nature of Bitcoin cash affects its price and these price movement can go in either direction – skyrocketing high to the moon or dumping low into the ground.
**The Drawbacks**: If the price of bitcoin cash drops significantly, hodlers with large amounts of BCH will be on the losing side and may have regretted not selling their coins when the price was up. So if you have 2 BCH at the price of $500, you will have a total of $1,000. After a sudden plunge to $400, you will be left with a balance of $800 and a loss of $200.
**The Benefits**: Crypto traders and investors take advantage of the Bitcoin cash dump by investing in (buying) the asset to lock in high returns. They employ a buy-and-hodl strategy where they buy the asset and hold them to a certain time – when the Bitcoin cash price peaks – before they sell them for profit. And according to the post, @phabulu took a look at the benefits of the bitcoin cash drop to members of the read.cash community. The daily spending on read.cash has been fixed at $500, so with the bitcoin cash drop not affecting this value, the users are earning more bitcoin cash.
Explain further with examples.
When bitcoin cash value surges, the users hodling their BCH will get more value for the amount they have. For instance, if 1BCH is at a price of $500, and you receive a $1 tip from a user or the random rewarder, you are actually getting 0.002 BCH. So ate 1BCH equal to $500, any $1 received will be 0.002 BCH. So if it drops to $400 per 1BCH, that same $1 tip will be worth 0.0025 BCH (You have received an extra 0.0005 BCH for the same $1). This difference will be a bit significant when you are receiving a tip of $100. So
At a price value of $500 per 1BCH, a $1 tip will give you 0.002 BCH, then $100 tip will give 0.2BCH.
At a price value of $400 per 1BCH, a $1 tip will give you 0.0025 BCH, then $100 tip will give 0.25BCH.
That’s an extra 0.05 BCH for a $100 tip. So when BCH rises back to $500 or more, you will have more value for your BCH in dollars. The $100 will become $125. A difference of $25.

Bitcoin Cash has been served! What next? How do you eat? Do you eat and clean up so that no one will notice? or do you share the dish with others?
Bitcoin cash revolution needs mass adoption to be successful. For mass adoption, there is a need for more people to use Bitcoin Cash. A lot of people, especially from developing countries cannot afford to invest in or buy bitcoin cash. And there ain’t many ways to earn bitcoin cash at the moment. Among the few available ways, read.cash is top of the list. And read.cash is a pretty easy platform to earn BCH – Be active, write and publish original contents. Another platform noise.cash is relatively easier based on the posts – you don’t need to write a long article – but the earning potential is less compared to read.cash.

Since joining read.cash, there has been buzz about the Club1BCH and many users are working towards being a member ( I wish to join someday too). That’s a good thing, but there should be more to it. I know some of the core members like ……….. are actively promoting bitcoin cash on social media and their community. Are the rest of us doing the same?
**What have you done to create bitcoin awareness?**
This is not an excuse. I’m only a baby in the bitcoin and read.cash community. I was born into the community on February 1, 2021. I have let out my first cry and had a feel of fresh breath. Now, I’m learning to crawl, then walk and talk. Believe me, when I learn to talk, my voice will be heard as far as possible. I have been able to publish 3………. Articles and earned about $0.24 from other users (nothing from the bot yet), most of which I have given away via tips. I hope to start earning better soon. But while in the waiting period, I have been reading a lot of bitcoin cash and generally crypto-related articles whenever I can to learn more about what I have gotten into and also to equip myself with the needed knowledge to educate others about Bitcoin cash. I can’t imagine trying to lure someone into the bitcoin cash community and I was asked questions and I couldn’t provide good answers to them. It means I don’t know what I'm preaching to the person. I don’t want to find myself in such a situation. So I will keep learning and improving my knowledge of BCH and crypto in general
Also, due to my unemployment status, there is something I seem to have in abundance – Time. The depressing feeling of being unemployed is an awful feeling, trust me, you don't want it. “Idle hands make fretful minds”. So I try to keep myself busy, I have picked up a hobby – I play chess and sometimes pool with some folks. Recently, I told some of them close to me about joining read.cash, and the opportunities in the bitcoin cash community. First, they were interested in how much I have made. They giggled when I said $0.24. Some said I should come back to them when I have earned something good – they don’t want to waste their time on something that will not be productive. I tried hard to convince them, by showing them other users earning on read.cash, that was not convincing enough, only proof from me will convince them. I hope to prove them wrong soon. About two others complained that they won’t be able to write articles, then I gave them the noise.cash option, one joined immediately and the other promised to join sometime in the near future. Not much, at least I got one. I will keep trying to promote bitcoin cash whenever I can.
I play pool at a small hotel within my street. The good thing is that I don’t have to buy or pay to play as the manager is a friend. This evening, yesterday, I suggested to him accepting bitcoin cash as a means of payment, for drinks, food, and other services they offer. At the end of our discussion, he promised to get back to me while he makes out time to talk to his boss about my proposal. I look forward to a positive response.
These are my little effort in the few days I have joined the community. I wish to do more. Will sleep on it and come up with a strategy to create bitcoin cash awareness and promote its adoption in my state and Nigeria in general.
Let’s not just earn bitcoin cash and convert it to local fiat. Let’s hodl, learn, and promote bitcoin cash in our various communities. And if possible spread a little of the bitcoin cash we have earned to other people, to keep the read.cash idea going.

Exploring a Community of Bitcoin Cash Enthusiasts
I’m still a toddler learning to walk in the midst of adults. The good part is that I’ll have a lot of people to learn from and who will support me not to fall. There are other users who are at the same life stage as I am and there are many whose achievement in this community is already intimidating and they have set milestones worth emulating. They will serve as role models.
This day old toddler you are reading from took his first step yesterday, February 1, 2021, by signing up to this awesome community. After publishing his first article on the same day, he went on a tour. To explore the features and options available to him to make his experience in his newfound community a wonderful one. Not to brag, the simplicity of this platform makes it possible for newborns to onboard and to navigate it easily.

**Exploring Communities**. After joining the platform yesterday and publishing my first article, I spent the next few hours exploring the platform. I started with the “Communities”. I realized the communities on read.cash are like groups on Facebook and more like “Subreddits” on Reddit created and moderated by its users, with each dedicated to certain topics or ideas. Here, a user can either submit an article to the communities or write directly on the community page. I have joined a couple of them and have tried submitting my introductory article to the community, "Introduce Yourself" but it wasn't successful. It's probably because I just joined the platform. I will wait for more than 24 hours to try again. Hopefully, I will get to submit some of my articles to relevant communities. While on it, I was tempted to press the “create your own” tab to create a new community. In fact, I pressed it but didn’t go forward with it. “The community I want to create must have been created”, I thought to myself.
**Exploring Topics**. After exploring the “Communities” my tour took me to the “Topics” section. Wow! There were hundreds of topics arranged in order of relevance (frequently used). The top on the list was “Life” and then "cryptocurrency". Out of the top ten topics, 5 are crypto-related, this gives an insight into what the platform is more about. But the topic that piqued my interest was “Club1BCH”. What could this be about? I visited the topic and spent hours reading some of the articles contained within. After all the read, I realized that the *Club1BCH* was an idea by @PVMihalache , with support from @Eybyoung and since its inception, has garnered interest from many users - those who have already earned 1 BCH and more and those who aspire to have up to that in the near future.
Of all my first day read, I was impressed by the content and earning on the articles “Nothing is impossible if you have the determination” by @Jane and “The road to 1 Bitcoin Cash" by @PVMihalache. Each of the articles earned over $100. **Subscribing to Users**. After reading all the aforementioned articles, I saved the articles for reference purposes and also subscribed to the authors (users). So the users that published my first few reads on the platform became my first subscriptions. I will keep reading to learn more and I will subscribe to users that their interest aligns with my mine.
**Enabling the sponsor block**. While reading articles and visiting users' page, I noticed a block, the *sponsors block*. You can hit "*become a sponsor*" to become my first sponsor Lol... just kidding, I'm not in a hurry. I believe that will come with time and consistency from me. I wish to sponsor a user, but I need to have some BCH, So I will wait till when I earn to try out this feature.
**Boosting Articles**. On the homepage, I noticed a “boosted” label below the lead image of the first two posts. I also noticed a “BOOST” tab on the articles I read as well as on my first article. I pressed the boost tab and the pop up page gave me all the information I needed to understand what the feature does

**Commenting and (Upvoting)**. I was able to give my feedback in the comments section of a few of the articles I read. I also liked and tried the tipping feature, but couldn’t tip any article as I had no BCH in my wallet. Guess I’ll have to be patient till when I earn.
