I was looking for an old game I used to practice ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ and ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ syllabaries, but it's been so long I can't find it. However I found this other site: http://www.easyjapanese.org/kataquiz.html It has a cute interface and it is just as practical as the other one. Plus, there are 3 game modes: I think is a good way to study without actually feeling you're studying. The game (using the first or second mode) is this: A ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข character is displayed and you have to choose between 4 ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐ช (pronunciation) options. If your answer is right, a cute sun will appear from behind ๐๐ถ๐ซ๐ช-๐ด๐ข๐ฏ (Mount Fuji) ๐ป. If not, a red lightning โก๏ธ will appear in the middle of the display and you'll have to try another option. The counter to the left keeps a registry of the Right answers vs the total number of questions. I used to play 100 characters a day until I could answer without thinking. It helps if you say the word out loud when you're studying the ๐พ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐จ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ก๐. The point is to make your brain relate an image to a sound; you combine visual memory with auditory memory. There is another thing I learned using this method, but is not languages related... Or maybe it is? Anyway, I'll post about it tomorrow. I'm too tired now. ใใใใฟใชใใ โ๏ธ #LingoNoise #LanguageLearning #English #Japanese --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In case you want to play, I leave you this ๐พ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐จ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ก๐ I took from one of my books and edited it, so you can read both syllabaries and then challenge your memory.

The day has been so hot (almost 35 ยฐC) I thought ten times before going out to buy my mother's medicine. Though the pharmacy is not too far, with just a few seconds outside you really feel like your melting. However, when I passed by the greengrocer, I saw a papaya offer: 1 kg for Bs 3,00 (USD 0,65) already pealed and cutted. I came back home and made me a smoothie. It really saved my day. Right now there are still 32ยฐ C and it seems that tomorrow will be around the same. I hope you're all having a nice weekend! #English #MyDay #Weather

I'm feeling so chill today, like nothing can bother me. It was a routine day: Waking up, making breakfast, doing some cleaning, then I spended 2 hours singing (which was probably what turned my ZEN mode on), I went to training and came back to see my 6pm class. And now I'm going to work a bit on my code, resolve 5 problems from my guide for Monday's test as I've been doing it since last weekend. This was the sunset from my roof. Another day ends as peaceful, golden and perfect as it started. I'll read some posts here before I go back to my tasks. #English #MyDay #Study
Hello, guys! I hope you all had a good day! This is my new diet: 1. Stingray which I can eat with potatoes, arepa, wholemeal bread or casabe (it's like cassava cookies) 2. Milkshake made of: Banana, milk, oatmeal and egg. I should eat both 1 hour before training and then more stingray after training, for dinner. This is supposed to help me gain weight (or at least to stop losing it) and creating muscle. Also I've been recommended to add boiled eggs during the day; I should eat a total of 4 eggs per day according to my sister's Kung Fu teacher (Shifu). Of course, I will probably change some things (I want avocado toast! ๐ฃ) as I see what is helping me and what isn't. For now, I don't need to restrict any food; I chose the stingray because is one of the cheapest meats here and I can eat it on a daily basis without problem. I only had to reduce the intensity of the exercises. #English #WeMakeNoise #Food #Health #Training

Long time not posting here. Let me just clean some spider webs and... Ok. ๐ณ ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ป'๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ธ ๐ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ ๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น Iโve come to a reflection: I donโt really need to get to ๐๐ฎ level on every language I learn. Itโs just not my goal. I learn languages that Iโm interested in, and I do it just for fun and to comunicate with people around the world. Just like Iโm doing here with you. So I decided to modify my scale, deleting the ๐๐ฎ Level row: |||| ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ญ ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ญ ๐บ๐ธ ๐ต ๐ต ๐ต ๐ต โช ๐ท๐บ ๐ต ๐ต โช โช โช ๐ฏ๐ต ๐ต ๐ต โช โช โช This way I wonโt feel frustrated trying to reach the highest level in a short period of time. I noticed this was bothering me. At some point, I forgot the reason I am learning these languages. And since lately Iโve been immersed in more LL communities, and a lot of people on those sites are like: โ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐. ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐?โ. Ok, I'm exaggerating a little bit. ๐ What I mean is that they are ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐ถ๐ข๐จ๐ฆ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐ด. Although thatโs not my goal on this, I started feeling that Iโm not studying hard enough to master a language... But I donโt need it to be perfect, I just want to be able to talk to people, learn their cultures; to sound like Milla Jovovich and ฬถtฬทoฬท fฬทaฬทkฬทeฬท Iฬทโmฬท aฬท sฬทpฬทyฬท. In short: It has to be interesting and fun. From now on I will concentrate on leisurely reaching a ๐๐ฎ and only then, I will consider getting a ๐๐ญ if I want or if I need it for something like a job application. #LingoNoise #LanguageLearning #English -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.D. 1: I do want to reach C2 level of english, but that's the only one for now. P.D. 2: I learned the word "leisurely" today and I wanted to use it. ๐ธ
Remember what I said about the mango threes bearing fruit by june? I think it will be sooner than expected. Look what I found today. You see those light green dots up there? They will probably be ready by April or May. I cannot wait to make jelly and smoothies! One of the best things of living in this country is that there are mango trees in almost every backyard (and I said "almost" because I don't have one ๐ญ๐ข): Uncle's house, neighbor's backyard, cemetery... And at my university old campus. If I'm not mistaken, it was the initiative of a previous government to plant a lot of mango trees. Almost all the mango trees in this area were planted during that project. I like the ones from the south of the town, 'cause those are the best to make juice. And when it comes to jelly, my grandma uses "piquito" which are small and green; people call it that way because it has the shape of a parrot's beak. I think I wrote too much out of just a picture of a tree...๐ Is just that I love so much this time of the year! When I get my first bag of mango I'll spam you with recipes and stories about it.๐ฅญ๐ฅญ๐ฅญ #English #Nature #Mango #MyDay
It was just another friday night studying when, suddenly, I get a message from the class group on WhatsApp: The exam date has been changed from February 14 to February 21...๐ถ Maybe I should thank to professor's girlfriend who might have reminded him they had a date that day...๐ Ok, seriously, I didn't feel well prepared for that test and I feel SO RELIEVED now. Didn't I tell you I have a gift that consist in this kind of things happening when I don't feel prepared for something? Or even when I don't want to go somewhere and-... PUFF... Salvation. And sometimes, when bad things happen in the place I have to go that day, it turns out that morning I feel too much sleepy (not lazyness, but more like my bed won't let me go) or I cannot get the bus. And then I open Twitter and: " 8am: There was an accident on the highway..."; or I open my email and: "The class was suspended"; or the professor texts me "I won't be able to go..." I'm not joking, this happens to me very often. Have you been that lucky sometime? #english #Study #MyDay
I've been busy these last few days. A lot of exams, homework and also... Well, I think that fever wasn't just a fever after all. Two days ago I started to get tired and have trouble breathing by just getting upstairs or walking a few streets. My vision would darken when I got up from the sofa or when I squatted down and got up very quickly. So, as I had too much to do, the remaining time I used it to sleep and to rest. My Noise BDay was on February 8th. I was supposed to post something about it. But you know what? From where I come from when the date of a birthday is on a working day, the celebration takes place the following weekend. So I still have time. ๐ค Still a little dizzy. #English #WeMakeNoise
These are the only noisy neighbors I like. I saw them while I was doing laundry and I ran back into the house to get the camera. ๐ฆ Sometimes I see these guys when I'm on my way back from training. They like to talk and have discussions between them, but everytime I want to take part on the conversation, they shut up and stare at me like I'm crazy. But, hey, I'm not the one fighting for a branch up there! They will be even more happy when june arrives and all the mango trees are full. And I will be happy too, I love mango juice. ๐ฅญ #English #Nature #Birds #OriginalContent

I wasn't notified that this was "The Toxic Boss Weekend" My professor cancelled the class again, thinking I will gladly see him on friday or saturday afternoon. Big mistake, 'cause the agreement wasn't in case that the class was interrupted by his clients from his other job, but in case there was internet or power failures. So, no. I will never allow people who can't organize their own schedule to disrespect my days off. Why is it so hard to understand that other people's time is as important as yours? And well, leaving that behind... I've had a fever since last night, so I stayed in bed almost all day. I felt better a couple hours ago and now it is midnight, but I'm not sleepy. I'm going to watch Guillermo Del Toro's "Nightmare Alley", someone told me it was good and really scary. #english #MyDay
Yup, I think it was too much froth. ๐ค But it still tastes good. Would you hire me as a barista? ๐ Just a little meal before training. Frank changed my routine because I was losing weight and not growing muscles. He said "more amino acids one hour before training..." So today I have toucan, dolphin, tiger and monkey on my plate. Do you think that will be enough? I think I should add some eggs. ๐ But I'm waiting until the sun stops trying to get us all burned. For real, lately I look like I went to the beach, but without the fun of swimming. ๐ #English #MyDay #Coffee #Training

My schedule works perfectly! Today I finished all my duties and work so early, that now I have time to watch series. I'm glad to know that I'm organized and up to date with all my tasks. I think it's not just because I made a good schedule, but I'm also respecting it. ๐ And I had a couple of surprises at the end of the afternoon. Most of them were really cool surprises. And just one I didn't enjoy much: Kind of an ex-boyfriend coming back out of the blue after 9 years and tried to add me on Facebook... NINE YEARS, PEOPLE. ๐ And I say "kind of" because we didn't last more than a week and it wasn't a nice experience. I'm not spiteful it's just that it took me by surprise and I can't stop laughing. LOL But let's not focus on the bad things from the past, it was a great day and this is just the first half of the week. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Short post, because I'm tired, I just want to watch series tonight. I'll read your posts between episodes. โบ๏ธ Goodnight, noisers! ๐ก #English #WeMakeNoise #MyDay
I forgot I had this: July 1st, 2020, 17:45. Double rainbow.๐๐ What I liked the most about that rainbow is that its extremes gave the impression to be pointing at two lagoons; Lagoon Zuata and Lagoon Taigรผaigรผai. I went to Windy and took a capture of that zone, so that you can see what I mean. The first lagoon is behind the Empalao hill and the other one is a few kilometers to the south. We even shoot a video of it. (That's me on the third picture ๐) #English #Photography #OriginalContent #Rainbow

I was wondering why is it so hard to meet new people? I mean, is there a way to start meeting someone without feeling like I'm in the middle of a job interview? ๐ This aspect of my life has become harder since the pandemic started. Before all this quarantine, at least I could talk to people I saw almost everyday at college or in the bus... But now... Even with my friends, it's hard to have a whole conversation. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about them building their own paths. It's just that I feel like I don't know how to create those bonds with anyone else. Actually, I think maybe it was them who created bonds with me. 'Cause I know how I met them, but I don't know how we got to be what we are now. You know, all the "process". ๐ And well, it is also true that I get tired of long and meaningless conversations with new people. At what point did I become so... difficult? I've always been introvert, but never like that. All I know is it takes time. Maybe that's why it is much easier when you're a kid or a teenager. ๐ #english #thoughts
Today was a quiet day. I had an extra class to compensate the one it was cancelled. After that I went to a new store and bought some flour to make pizza; I also saw cereal, cookies and something called "Moodtella" that were cheaper there. I can't wait to comeback there and buy everything that has chocolate on it. ๐คค I also could finish a Database SQL course that I had paused for a few months. And finally I watched "ICE AGE: Adventures of Buck Wild". It's curious, I used to like those movies when I was a girl, but this one didn't make me laught like the other 4 ICE AGE movies. It may be whether I'm too old or the writers no longer have enough creativity. ๐ #English #WeMakeNoise #MyDay
You're not gonna believe how lucky and unlucky I was today at the same time. ๐ Professor V cancelled our Cartography class this morning, so I was able to attend the ArcGIS Masterclass as I told you I wanted. BUT, the Masterclass was also cancelled TEN MINUTES before its start because the speaker got sick. He had a sore throat. So, the Masterclass is going to be rescheduled. I hope they pick a day that I have free. In other news: I bought these cookies and I thought the center was filled with white chocolate, but it turned out to be vanilla creme! Now, I don't know much portuguese, but there it clearly says "Chocolate Branco" which, according to me and to Mr. GT, it means WHITE CHOCOLATE. I've been cheated. ๐ How was your day, guys? ๐ก #English #Portuguese #WeMakeNoise #Class #Food #LingoNoise

How are you, guys? I'm thinking about how to skip class next Thursday at 6:00 p.m to attend a course that, coincidentally, has a lot to do with that subject. It's a free class that will no longer be available after that day. But I can't ask my professor to suspend the class because we already lost one last week because of an internet failure. And I don't want we end up having a content delay because of me. ๐ค I wish I could attend both classes at the same time. I need Hermione Granger's Time-Turner. ๐ #english #Thoughts #Class
๐๐ค๐ข๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ช๐ฉ ๐๐ค๐๐๐๐ โ๏ธ๐ช These past days I've been reading discussions on Twitter about how should coffee be prepared. Whether to boil the coffee together with the water and then strain it... Or to put the coffee in the strainer, boil the water and then pour it into the strainer. Of course, this is just in case you don't use a coffee maker machine. There is a barist on Twitter, named Nani, I remember she once said that boiling the coffee and even reheat it, could cause the lost of its taste and aroma. In fact, one should not even use boiling water, but rather at 80ยฐC. Also, a former student of my faculty, who specialized in the coffee production line, said something similar during her thesis presentation. On the other hand, some people say that when they boil the coffee together with the water, they get more cups of coffee. In my experience, the second method leaves a horrible residue at the bottom of the jar and cups. So I always use the first method. For me, first sip of coffee of the day is the most important, it needs to taste good, smell like chocolate and burn the h*** out my tongue. ๐ How about you? How do you prepare your coffee when you don't use a coffee maker? #English #WeMakeNoise #Coffee #Food
23:56. It's almost monday here. Hope you all had a good weekend. And I wanna thank to those who sent me kind words yesterday. I really appreciate it. I'm feeling better today, more quiet. Did you know that black coffee without sugar helps you heal when you're sad? I found that out two years ago, it's very effective, I would like to know why. Also, I took a walk instead of training, just sat on a bench, watched the sun go down in silence while I had an inner chat. I don't like to comeback home too late. But I felt secure because there are cops everywhere telling people to put on their masks (Omicron cases have been raising, but people think it's "just a flu"). I even felt free to brought my backpack and camera to take some pictures. I'll show them to you in future posts, right now I don't have anything interesting to say about it. Have a great week start, Noise. #english #MyDay #WeMakeNoise
Note: Please, don't tip this post. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, guys. I was free today, but I didn't feel good to come here. Today we were noticed that my Astronomy professor, Lucy, passed away on December 23rd; it was a car accident at Viรฑa del Mar, Chile. Her family couldn't contact anyone from the university, that's why we weren't noticed until today. The head of the Geodesy Department sent an email last night, but I didn't read it until this morning. She was an Electrical Engineer and also a Geodesist Engineer. She studied with my mom. I had the opportunity to attend her courses twice: Geodetic Topography and Geodetic Astronomy. Although she had a somewhat difficult temperament in class (and especially no compassion when it came to exams) and despite the comments from more advanced students about her, I got to like her. She was an Astro Geek like me. And when the pandemic started, she was one of the few really prepared for Online teaching. She loved clocks, I realized that last year when she gave us an assignment to record a video talking about stellar clocks (I got the best grade). When I heard that she moved to Chile, I was so happy, thinking that she would probably be near the Atacama desert, one of the main headquarters of astronomical telescopes in Latin America. And one of the places I would like to work someday. I can't believe that just yesterday I sent her a Telegram message, sharing a Microsoft Office 365 article I thought she could find useful. I remember thinking it was unusual that she hadn't logged on for several days, when she normaly did at least once a day. Only these two things have been on my mind all day: She didn't get to see the launch of the James Webb. And I forgot to answer her last email sharing my good feedback about her class at the end of that last semester I was her student. Muchas gracias por todo. Chao, profe Lucy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please, I've been struggling all day, doubting about whether to write something about this here or not. I have no intention to "monetize" such a hard and personal stuff. But I realized I have no one from my close circle to talk about this... To express myself this way. And also I wouldn't be able to speak without crying as it always happens to me. So, again, please, no tipping. But I'll gladly read you if you wish to leave a comment.
Finally Friday! I never thought I would be so tired after the second week. Some professors are trying new modalities, so basically, I'm having tests every week, instead of every 3 weeks as it was usual. And I'm not the only one going crazy, my mom's SIM card suddendly stopped working for no apparent reason and there are no available SIM cards in the Service Provider office. So, she has no longer access to her Telegram account>No access to her Class Channel>No access to her chat groups. So I'm managing her channel and group from my account, following her instructions; babysitting her students until next week. It is funny, they think I study in the same department. ๐ But not everything is bad news. She has a new computer monitor and another is coming soon. โ๏ธ I don't know if I will be regularly posting here. Or, if I do, it will be short posts (but I also have some interesting posts prepared). I just have to get use to my new schedule. Note: I wrote this so fast! My mind is flying, I want to sleep. Sorry if there are some typos or spelling mistakes.๐ Have a nice weekend, guys! #english #MyDay #Study
Today my cartography professor congratulated me for bringing some interesting information to the class. "I am glad to know that you read about it and already know the applications of the subject"โ, he said. Well, considering my mother was the Cartography General Manager a few years ago, I feel like I'm almost bound to know about it. But if only he knew how much I hated that stuff when I was in High school. ๐ Geography, to be more specific. I remember that each class, we had to draw a thematic map of my state FREEHAND and then color it. I learned every curve of it. "I can't believe this is what I'm gonna have to do if I want to learn astronomy!"โ, I used to say. Of course, it wasn't the torture I imagined after all. ๐ And most of what I mentioned during class is the result of all the documentaries and history books on cartography that I have read throughout my life. In addition to my habit of reading news. I've also had the opportunity to see some related projects, either from my senpai, teachers or my mother's colleagues. In conclusion, it could be said that, in some way, I also apply understandable input in other areas besides language learning. ๐ค #English #WeMakeNoise #MyDay #College
Thank you all of you who have answered to my Antivirus post. The harvest has begun. The hills have been burning all these days, there is a lot of smoke around and soot falling everywhere in the town, so I'm being extra cautious with my eyes. I got these safety glasses to go jogging and I use my mask almost all the journey. I have to sweep the house more times a day than normal. This is just a sample of what I took yesterday from the backyard. I guess these are the cons of living in a town surrounded by sugarcane plantations. Even when we're sleeping, ashes fall on us. Some windows can't be closed, they are more like skylights. I think my grandfather never thought about this; he wanted to build a fresh and bright house. ๐ But it's not all because of the harvest. The new mayor's office has been deploying cleaning and weeding crews. And they couldn't think of a better idea than to burn everything they collected: trees, weeds, grass and garbage. ๐ I'm gonna have to put off my climb to the Empala'o; it's too dangerous to go up there at this time of the year; fire can appear at any moment and spread (actually, there was a tragedy related to that a few years ago). I better stay down here until things stabilize a little. #english #WeMakeNoise #MyDay

This week really got me tired. College, my mom's computer monitor getting broke... Now I found out that my AVIRA antivirus is adding programs without my authorization (it added Google Drive Desktop App yesterday when it updated). I'll have to change it. I'm thinking of AVG antivirus... Maybe? What do you recommend that is not invasive? I already tried Panda. May you leave your suggestions here while I write a post that isn't a complaint. ๐
A new semester has begun and my phone and inbox noticed it. ๐ Since I woke up this morning I haven't stopped receiving emails, messages and calls from my professors, classmates, senpais and kลhais... Sending and asking for names, phone numbers, email addresses, manuals, study guides and slides... The only thing missing is my senpai, calling to ask if I'm really going to Caracas to get that Pokemon milkshake. ๐ It's not the usual mess, but it means more students were able to enroll this time. I think is thanks to the online mode education system. But confussion is also because of the lack of information from the Study Control office. Most of us had contact with the professors because we already had their numbers and email addresses from past semesters. But new students don't know them yet, so they only can wait for a general email and I think it drives them crazy; they're just not used to it. #english #College #Comeback #Study
Mission accomplished! I went to the hospital today. The object has been removed. The best part is: No one had to touch my eye! At least not by using any kind of tweezers. It was a funny scene: I got to the reception to get on the list, and the doctor who put me on the list, a young female resident named Nixa, was the same doctor who treated me. She poured some drops into my eye and then looked at it through the optical instrument (I forgot the name) โ"Ok, the object it's gone already"โ she said. "But I know it was there because I saw it when I put you on the list". It didn't leave any injuries. I was like: "WHAAAT, THAT'S IT? I traveled 20 km for it to fall that easy ๐ต". But inside I was so relieved ๐ Yet, she continued examining both eyes. And I got scared when she said she was going to flip my eyelids. She was trying to pour more drops into my eyes but I couldn't keep them open, especially the left one. I've always been like this, my eyes close automatically when someone approaches them. I can't help it. I was so embarrassed. But she was kind and patient. Well, the reason she kept examining both eyes was because she found symptoms of an infectious conjunctivitis. She prescribed a three months treatment. It is one of those cases where you go to the doctor for one thing and end up finding other. I am very grateful to Dr. Law for helping me and with Dr. Nixa for all her kindness and patience. And of course, thanks to all of you who have been worried about me all this time. ๐ก๐ก๐ก I let you this picture I took last saturday and I didn't have the opportunity to share: The sunset marking an F note on the power lines. I couldn't get to the hospital today because of transport. I knew this could happen because it's Sunday; there are no buses and the ATM's are out of cash. I wrote to Dr. Law and he says I can go tomorrow as long as it doesn't hurt. I just have to keep using the drops. I asked if I could go to a local hospital, but it seems that the lamp and the equipment necessary to remove it, it is only available at that hospital. It doesn't hurt, I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep last night, but it wasn't like that. Well, I did have a nightmare about the object being bigger than it is, but nothing more. ๐ Man! All this mess right two days before semester begins. ๐ I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, noisers. ๐ก #english #wemakenoise
