Long time not posting here. Let me just clean some spider webs and... Ok. 😳 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗮 𝗖𝟮 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 I’ve come to a reflection: I don’t really need to get to 𝗖𝟮 level on every language I learn. It’s just not my goal. I learn languages that I’m interested in, and I do it just for fun and to comunicate with people around the world. Just like I’m doing here with you. So I decided to modify my scale, deleting the 𝗖𝟮 Level row: |||| 𝗔𝟭 𝗔𝟮 𝗕𝟭 𝗕𝟮 𝗖𝟭 🇺🇸 🔵 🔵 🔵 🔵 ⚪ 🇷🇺 🔵 🔵 ⚪ ⚪ ⚪ 🇯🇵 🔵 🔵 ⚪ ⚪ ⚪ This way I won’t feel frustrated trying to reach the highest level in a short period of time. I noticed this was bothering me. At some point, I forgot the reason I am learning these languages. And since lately I’ve been immersed in more LL communities, and a lot of people on those sites are like: “𝘖𝘒, 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘚 𝘔𝘖𝘕𝘛𝘏 𝘐 𝘓𝘌𝘈𝘙𝘕𝘌𝘋 𝘈𝘙𝘈𝘉𝘐𝘈𝘕, 𝘚𝘖 𝘐 𝘞𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘚𝘊𝘏𝘌𝘋𝘜𝘓𝘌 𝘒𝘓𝘐𝘕𝘎𝘖𝘕 𝘓𝘌𝘚𝘚𝘖𝘕𝘚 𝘍𝘖𝘙 𝘕𝘌𝘟𝘛 𝘔𝘖𝘕𝘛𝘏. 𝘞𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘓𝘈𝘕𝘎𝘜𝘈𝘎𝘌 𝘞𝘐𝘓𝘓 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘉𝘌 𝘓𝘌𝘈𝘙𝘕𝘐𝘕𝘎 𝘕𝘌𝘟𝘛 𝘔𝘖𝘕𝘛𝘏?”. Ok, I'm exaggerating a little bit. 😂 What I mean is that they are 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴. Although that’s not my goal on this, I started feeling that I’m not studying hard enough to master a language... But I don’t need it to be perfect, I just want to be able to talk to people, learn their cultures; to sound like Milla Jovovich and ̶t̷o̷ f̷a̷k̷e̷ I̷’m̷ a̷ s̷p̷y̷. In short: It has to be interesting and fun. From now on I will concentrate on leisurely reaching a 𝗕𝟮 and only then, I will consider getting a 𝗖𝟭 if I want or if I need it for something like a job application. #LingoNoise #LanguageLearning #English -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.D. 1: I do want to reach C2 level of english, but that's the only one for now. P.D. 2: I learned the word "leisurely" today and I wanted to use it. 😸
