Hello, guys. I hope you're doing fine. I've been sick this last week and just yesterday I was able to use my laptop again. My symptoms got really worst, I got dehydrated and I couldn't eat any solid food for two days. I'm getting better now, but I still have to rest.
Also, in the middle of my ilness, on last thurstday, I received the bad news that my Aunt Conchita passed away. I talked about her in this post https://noise.cash/post/4rk24w3a23mz She was like a grandma to me these last seven years; and I couldn't even go to her funeral.
So, now you know why I haven't been on mood to post anything.

There it goes the last mango...
This was the last mango from my aunt's tree. I made a fruits salad with mango, pineapple, papaya and melon. A perfect way to end my favorite season of the year. Too bad I couldn't get green mangoes to show you the jelly recipe. You're gonna have to wait until next year.
COVID cases are raising in my country. A new variant that acts like a normal flu, but it spreads faster. Authorities are announcing centers to get the 4th dose. My sister and I already had it these last three days. Today I felt much better, at least I can taste food again. Luckily we have been taking the meds right from the first symptom.
We got infected because one of my sister's orchestra partners went to a meeting knowing she had symptoms.
I wonder when people will learn that collective responsibility is the only way out of this...

Great, he has completely taken possesion of my bed... Again.
These last few days I've been a little busy with some job applications, refactorizing my code and just dealing with some personal issues. The point is: I go to sleep really late at night. And as a consecuence: Negro has been using my bed most part of the night (8pm to 3am).
I remember he did the same when I moved to my student residence in Caracas. My mom told me on the phone that the first night he didn't even "asked" her where I was (he usually gets worried if someone in the house is missing). He just got on my bed and slept there every night while I was away.
"She is not using it anyway..." I imagine he said. 😂
And now, when I go to bed, he seems to be somehow bothered for my presence and jumps to my mom's and continues sleeping there until 5 or 6 am; then he jumps on a couch and stays there until he hears someone getting in the kitchen to make breakfast.
Man, I wish I could live like that. 😂

A good thing about the rain season is that everything at the garden starts growing; now we have some chili, I hope it's not hot chili.
Near to the place where I train, plants and grass are almost 1 meter height. And when I'm walking back home I can hear the little frogs croaking. It's so wonderful.
In fact, the only thing I can complain about rain is that there are some days when it doesn't let me train outside. I thought today would be one of those days, but I went there and all the machines were dry. Then, when I finished my routine, I could feel some drops falling, so I quickly headed back home.
The streets by the centre were so dessert that I felt weird, like something was going on. It is really unusual not to find any vehicle or people at that time of the day when everyone is supposed to be coming back from work.

The hurricane changed its trayectory and it didn't reach the coast as we were expecting. Actually it barely rained these days in my town. I think I prefer that.
In other news, I keep finding this flowers from my mom's vanilla plant that is screwed around the old TV anthena. They fall at night in the garden, but I almost never see them growing in the branches. I pick them from the floor and give them to my sister's turtles; they like eating some flowers.

A hurricane is coming.
It is supposed to affect only the coast states (north states). But some Mayors are closing the streets in the Capital and the nearby municipalities; classes are suspended...
Although there will be some rain in my zone, I don't think it will hit us so bad. In general, everyone is taking it with a great sense of humor. My favorite doctor tweeted: "Time to train 💪🏻 so that tomorrow I can hold on to a pole and not be blown away by the Cyclone." 😂
Something that caught my attention is that everyone in the news and social media is calling it "cyclone", which I thought it was the same that a typhoon... And it is. But my curiosity won't leave me alone, so I googled it.
And this is what I found on the National Geographic website:
- If it occurrs in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean and in the northeastern region of the Pacific, it is called "Hurricane"
- In the northwestern Pacific it is called "Typhoon"
- In the southeastern region of the Indian Ocean, in the southwestern Pacific, in the northern part of the Indian Ocean, and in the southwestern part of the Indian Ocean it is called "Cyclone"
Well, I just hope that we all stay safe until it's over. I suppose I won't be able to train outside the rest of the week, that's why I secured myself of going today (I've been a little lazy since friday).

Ok, I've created my Bitcoin Cash Wallet in my browser. I thought it would be more comlicated, so I was avoiding it all this time since Noise added that option, haha.
Just a little doubt: Now if I want to send my BCH to Binance or to another wallet, I must use the "Pay" option, is that right?
As for the wallets options I found better for me: I'm keeping Binance and Reserve Protocol.
My Uphold account it's still active, but I'm not using it from now on. It's a shame. I'm gonna miss the cards interface; it helped me to keep my stuff organized. And I liked the "Markets" option where you can buy Tesla, Facebook and other companies actions, though I didn't use it much.

Negro figured out that we were hiding his pills inside the sausages and the chicken liver. LOL
There are only two days left to end his treatment, but he's rejecting to eat the pills. I'm not surprised, this antibiotics tastes really awful. We managed to make him take the medicine hiding it inside little pieces of chicken liver or sausages. Everything was going so well this past weeks, but he finally noticed it.
So, now I have to give him a piece without any pill first, so he gets confident and then I give him the other piece with 1/2 pill which is the dose he must take every 12 hours.

I fell asleep at 18:00 and woke up at 24:00. Now I cannot sleep again. I think this change in my sleep is due to I haven't go to train for a week now because of the flu. And I'm still not able to go tomorrow.
I don't like being at home all day, it gets me confused. And as I don't have a schedule, I even can forget what day is it. I'll have to design one. This is what affected me the most when the pandemic started, so I hope I get well soon.

I like how is it going.
It's been a couple of months since I last time coded, so in order to warm up I decided to start working on the Geovox website project. It's going to be similar to what I created for CassavaVE, only this is not a web store. In fact, I'm still thinking about what am I going to post there. I'm not sure.
I feel confortable when doing this stuff. I can get lost all day in front of my desk. And I know I said I would take a couple of weeks far from this keyboard to spend more time in front of the other keyboard (🎹) but I had to make a change of plans:
The main reason is that there have been a lot of power flaws and cuts; the surge protector I use for the piano keyboard got damaged months ago. I'm afraid of connecting the piano directly and that there would be a strong surge.
The other reason is that I got a horrible flu that doesn't let me sing; I can hardly speak. 😓
It's ok, I'll recover from this flu and I can get another protector. Besides I still have more than two months to do everything I want. ✌️

This cat appeared just one week after we found Little Panther. We thought it could be the mother but, one night, little panther went out to the garden and she saw it. They almost started a fight, but I got up from bed and got her back inside right on time.
I have some theories:
- It is her mother but she didn't recognize her as such.
- It is her mother but she doesn't like her anymore.
- It's just another cat she identified as a threat.
But that's just guessing. I don't know how cats' mind works.
She's letting her guard down with Negro most of time. At least she's not that agressive with him now. But she still doesn't respect Misa and Negro's plates, she keeps eating their food.

Semester is finally over. No more uni until september!
I feel mentally tired, the last tests and projects were quite demanding. But I managed to succeed. ✌️
I couldn't get that pizza I wanted to celebrate because the semester lasted two weeks more than the promotion. But at least I got my favorite soda: Green Apple. And I'm going to enjoy it while I watch a movie.
I thought I would have to read a book tonight because a neighbor has some kind of live music at her garden and the sound doesn't let me hear anything; not even with my clip-on earphones. But I just found out that if I put on my beanie it helps a lot to isolate myself from the noise.

Hello! Now I can post the rest of the weekend story.
Misa's status:
The day after Misa's vaccination she didn't wanted to leave her chair. Didn't want to eat or drink water. So we had to call Dr. Gema and she came on monday. She said it was stress because of the trip and the vaccine, but also said that if Misa continued like that by tuesday, we call her back again. Luckily she got better since that very afternoon.
Negro's status:
As the Misa's sesion was short she asked how was Negro going and mentioned that she was on her way to the lab, so my mom let her take the blood samples from him to make the test. She gave us the results yesterday: Negro has a "Small proportion of Erlichia canis". So, he has to keep his treatment with antibiotics for other 10 days and then make a new blood test.
Dr. Gema says Erlichia canis can be present but not active unless the animal goes through a stressful situation. It only takes one tick to get infected. But it is curable. Also, the people who organized the vaccination told us they are going to follow the case. Negro is currently fine, he seems more happy than in previous weeks.
Now I have to get the Bravecto for the three of them to prevent this from happening again.

Sorry for the delay. There were a lot of things happening since saturday. I couldn't even think of writing here.
Saturday morning, we woke up, made breakfast and got Negro, Misa and Tonks (little panther) ready to go. Misa wasn't happy with her collar and my sister had to carry her in her backpack. Negro walked with me most of the time. Tonks was the less troublesome to carry due that she fits in a small bag.
When we got to the Vaccination center, there were a lot of dogs and cats already in the row. We waited for almost two hours until the vets could see our little guys.
Misa was the one who got the whole package (review, rabies vaccine and deparasitation). Negro couldn't be vaccinated because of the possible Erlichia canis infection and Tonks because she is still too young (3 months age). But they gave us a number to set an appointment when they are ready.
We also were told that Negro is 3 years younger than we were told when we found him, so he is currently around 10 years old.
There are some details about what happened since last sunday until today, but I don't want to make this post too long.

The little panther has been in my house for a week now.
She still does not get along with Negro and Misa. Actually, we had had to stop a few fights between them. Misa doesn't want to be near the little panther, so she isolated herself in the second plant of the house; spending most part of the day in the kitchen and sleeping whether in this chair or on my mom's bed.
As for Negro, he just keeps trying to sniff her little ears and to play with her, but she just doesn't like him. He seems cool with that, though. He also has been taking his medicines and hasn't had any fever, so I feel relieved about him.
Next saturday, all three are going to get medical review, ear cleaning, nail cutting and rabies vaccines. I hope they behave there. 😓

Last april, a friend presented his thesis about a factory where he was working. As my mom was part of the Jury, he gave her a basket filled with the main products.
One of the star products was this Apple Hair Cleanser. I've been using it for two months and I have to say it is amazing. It really "highlights the natural shine of your hair". Also my hair is much softer and I love that green apple scent.
And this was not the only product I loved, there is also a tangerine soap bar that feels like cream on your skin.
I want to order another bottle as soon as this one empties. But I couldn't find a local distributor, so we asked him and he says he can buy it directly in the factory and deliver it to us though he's not longer working there. He is so cool and gentle.
Also, he has a photography project and another project that includes a 3D printer. I'm planning to contract his services for some CassavaVE publicity stuff in future. It's gonna be great, you'll see.

I'm working on my last homework. Today I was told that the next semester will start on september. I feel happy 'cause that means I will have two months to dedicate to my other projects and second career. I've been also editing my CV to start sending some job applications.

I finally made my Cartography presentation today. This was the last evaluation I had pending for this subject. I got the highest grade. Now I have one last subject pending, but the professor hasn't say anything yet. But, well, there are still two more weeks left to officially end the semester...

Tonight we have a guest.
This little cat has been mewing on the next house roof for a week. Today me and my sister went outside and called him from our garden. We barely could see him in the darkness.
We opened a sardines can and fed him. He doesn't like Negro to get close to him; He gets really agressive (but not bitting or anything); I think he had never seen a dog before. But, of course, I wouldn't like a big giant hairball to be stucking his tongue and nose in my ears all the time either. 😂 Misa just ignored him, she was more interested on the sardines. My sister took the kitty to the hall and he's been running around the house.
Tomorrow I'll try to take a better pic of him. This one looks like my tee has a couple of eyes printed on it.

My Negro got sick yesterday. We are searching for a vet, but apparently the vets in this town do not work on mondays. Ten numbers we have called, TEN. Even my protectionist colleagues are helping, but nothing yet...
[UPDATE]: Dr Gema made a home visit. Negro has a fever of 40°. She prescribed a treatment for possible Ehrlichia and she applied him two injections.
Negro feels better enough to eat now and he can move his tail again. I think that means he's no longer scared as he was last night.
I don't want to sleep...
Now that I have some time to rest until next week, my mind doesn't stay still. I've been updating my business profiles, and even came up with some design ideas. I sketched some of them on Figma. Do you like this one? It's good to see I can still get inspired; it means my mind is calm.
I still have one more test and one presentation left. I thought the semester ending was this week, but no. There are still two weeks left, although I'm done with most of the subjects.
I'm not sleepy yet! I'm going to read a book. If I read until my eyes get dry, I sleep like a baby without even dreaming.

My aunt just harvested these grains and gave it to my mom for cooking them. Its name is "Tapiramo". Have you seen them? I don't know other names and there is no translation from spanish to english.
It's a kind of beans, white and black like a dalmatian. My aunt grows it at her backyard. She gets around 1/2 kg every few months. I don't know why is it so hard to find tapiramos at the market, it's not as common as black beans or lentils. That's why it is so special when Aunt Conchita give us some.
She has a cool garden where she cultivates a lot of things. I have to tell you about sometime.

Can you tell the diference betweent celery, coriander and parsley?
My mother asked my sister to go buy some celery and coriander to prepare lunch. But, last time she got confused and brought parsley. 😂 So this time I sent her a couple images from Google. I think she didn't like my message. LOL
And she ended up asking to a man at the store anyway. 😂
But I have noticed that sometimes even the employees in charge of organizing the vegetals don't know the difference either. I've seen coriander labeled as parsley, and vice versa. So I always buy the three of them just to be sure. 😂😂😂

Something funny happened to me today.💧
When I was on my way to excercise a man came close to me and asked me for water. And before I could react he grabbed my bottle and tried to drink from it. 😂 The problem was: I always carry my water frozen; I let it melt while I train and then I can drink. He was a little disapointed and gave me back the water.
Of course, I wasn't gonna drink from it after that. However I brough the bottle with me while I was looking for a place to throw it. But, turns out that I found him again on my way back home, so I called him and said: "It already melted, you can take it". He took it and looked so happy.
Tomorrow I'll have to buy another bottle. 😂

I always need to be nibbling something while I study, and as I still cannot drink coffee I felt so happy when I found this at the new store I mentioned on my last post. Now I have both coffee and cookies in one single package. Perfection. 🍪☕️
And the reason I'm studying this saturday night is because next week I have to take the final exams of all my subjects. Yeah, it seems like my professors agreed to torture me. 😓 But I'm giving my best, so I can be relieved and proud at the end of the semester.

I've been purchasing some things this week. It's to resume my cassava doughnuts project that has been paused for months. I only have to buy vegetal oil (sunflower oil) but when I went to the store it turned out that the brand I was looking for was out of stock. I almost panicked; that brand could only be found in that store. The other brands cost twice the price of that one and are out of my budget. But I took the decision of buying a 500 ml bottle of one of those brands for the price of 1 l of the cheaper one. I won't stop because of that.
I also have some trouble finding a greaseproof, but that's just because I'm stubborn about choosing a specific color that goes well with the logo, so I bought a white one to start. 😅
And while browsing other stores, I found a new supermarket. They have this chocolate powder I need to taste with my coffee as soon as my "zero coffee week" ends. Oh, yeah, I didn't tell you that I have had to stop drinking coffee for a few days because of my health. I suspect it was slowly triggering my anxiety back again. It's not so serious this time, but I have to prevent.
